So much has happened between then and now, so I thought it might be an exercise in gratitude to see how far we’ve come in this War, together, as those fighting to save our nation, our kids, and our education. The best news? We’re not done yet! We have miles to go together.

This day, as every day for me, I’m reminded WHY I fight Common Core: truth, freedom, and our students. (I’m reminded that our freedoms and liberties are being threatened now, more than ever; especially via education.)
Thanks to this fight, now a little over 5 years strong for me, I’ve been reminded what REAL education is. (Nine years and countless hours)
Real teachers are always a blessing and a gift to our kids I am thankful for.
I’m thankful for true officials who, rather than sell out to false agendas, stand for truth.
It’s been a real blessing to be connected with so many everyday men, women, and students who, like me, could care less what convention is, and dare to be different.

Warriors, we know sometimes we all need help from those we’ve come to count on. Especially in the War vs the Core.
Today, I’d like to highlight some of my Warrior/Friends efforts to help ALL of us across the nation. Why? A boost during the summer months is needed to keep us sharp and focused.
We’re hearing how some States think CCSS (Common Core State Standards) are gone, or that the leaders in our States declare the Standards ‘dead’.
Heck, we’ve even heard the U.S. Secretary of Education try to pacify us with how ‘dead’Common Core is.
Warriors, we KNOW CCSS lives on in the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act). CCSS didn’t go away, it expanded!
To help us stay strong, sign the anti Fed Ed/Labor merger. We’ve only got until the 24th of July to reach 100,000 signatures!
We, the Warriors, know the merger will expand CCSS’s workforce education, not shrink it.

To you, my Anti Fed Ed Warriors, recently I released a short video on Facebook Livegoing over the education documentary “Resilience: The Biology of Stress; The Science of Hope”.
Let me point out that when I made that video, I had only seen the movie hours before and was still trying to process it all.
I thank you all who’ve provided feedback. Most has been positive.
Some Warriors, have even taken up the challenge about finding more and shared their resources with me.
I’ve been asked to write up a summary about the CCSS Machine backed documentary. I’ll also be making another Facebook Live follow up video with the questions I’ve been asked and give you answers.
I want to start with pointing out the word play being used against us, first, Warriors. “Resilience”, in the CCSS Machine context is distorted. What you see below is the final moments of a video on Twitter. It’s for small children!
Warriors, I’m using my personal notes and directly relating other information. Some of the information was in the film, some not. Either way, USE this to be asking questions at your school.
Word Games Which Aren’t Funny:
1) The use of the word ‘resilience’ all through the handouts and documentary is a play on the citizen’s mind. If you look at the Merriam Webster definition of ‘resilience’ you’ll find a) capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, b) toughness, c) ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; d) elasticity.
Warriors, where do you see ‘grit’? It’s NOT there, yet the CCSS Machine, repeatedly has united it to ‘resilience’! Does Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary define ‘grit’ like this?
No, in fact the 4th definition of ‘grit’ is the only one which could be applied to humans!
“Grit” has also been united with ‘perseverance’ and ‘tenacity’. (As in the 2013, U.S. Department of Education publication. By the way, Pearson Publishing (2017) still uses that as a resource for higher education. The best way for grit or any of the CCSS Machine labels used in conjunction to reach our students (at all ages) is the ‘blended learning’, the technology, and the constant mind conditioning of SEL (Social Emotional Learning).
a) Angela Duckworth’s work in “Grit” was the base for this UK (United Kingdom) 2015 “Sorting Out Resilience, Perseverance and Grit” by Building Learning Power article.
b) The Chopra Center calls ‘Resilience and Grit’ the two ‘skills which must be practiced’. According to this article, you can even build ‘resilience’ in children who are not NATURALLY inclined to be that way. The key? Competency! (As in CBE, competency based education. Every Student Succeeds Act, ESSA’sFULL of this!)
c) Edutopia’s (George Lucas group) 2014 You Tube video where ‘Teaching Grit’ is shown as good. (*Note: from the child featured, this was once known as chores.) You’ll also see from Edutopia’s blog that resilience is equal to grit.
d) Positive Psychology Program: 5 Ways to Develop Growth Mindset Using Grit and Resilience cites Duckworth. This program is geared for adults and is science based.(*Note: Duckworth is tagged at least 30 times in the 2013 “Grit” form US Ed. as a source.)
The Study Which Created This Monster:
2) The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and Kaiser Permanente teamed up, back in 1990s to begin a study. According to the CDC website, the study is housed in their “Violence Prevention” Page. So from then to now, the shift has been made from preventing violence to massive amounts of grit and resilience (not to mention tons of SEL) being inserted in our schools. From my notes during the presentation: Schools need to intervene for students and teachers in entire process of toxic stress because 85 % have no access to these types of services anywhere else. (Cited not able to use parents insurance or find in their communities) Toxic stress is most often found in the homeless and poor, so we must end poverty (UN Sustainable Development Goal#1). Warriors, if you’d like to see how our resilience fits into the SDGs, look at this from New Jersey:
The CDC/Kaiser research goes on to this day, according to the documentary. Supposedly the ‘method behind the madness’ is reduce or eliminate ACE in Americans and you can leverage their performance and well-being. As one of the doctors who championed this Study put it, discovering lifelong stress was the ‘biggest public health discovery’ can be helpful, but it’s the 21st Century biology which is ‘new’ and will be tremendous. According to the documentary, toxic stress is ACE in action.
One Stanford University doctor put it this way, one symptom of ‘toxic stress’ is having no safe relationship where you feel protected. We, as a nation are so consumed with self. We are still using the outdated concept that ‘pulling yourself up by your bootstraps’ works. Kids can’t do this. Kids can only have ‘resilience’ when there are stable, caring adults in their lives who can ‘grow’ it in them. Life outcomes MUST transform adults. How do we do this? Start young and invest in them as ‘human capital’.
During the documentary, the ACEs are being used as a tool to re-define the ‘what’s wrong with you’? question to ‘what can we do about it?’ One person put it this way, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink, BUT you sure can make him thirsty!
A huge component to all this resilience building involves the entire community. (Does THAT sound familiar?) One of the resources connected to the documentary (The Trauma Institute) has an entire presentation on expanding mental health services community wide, by resilience.
Featured in the film, using the ACE assessment on the family as a whole. That way, not only will the family members become resilient, their students can, too.
The CCSS Makeover deception is ALL kids must be resilience AND grit filled as soon as they are born. This is impossible unless you manipulate them from the start. Which is EXACTLY what the SEL (Social Emotional Learning) does!
Look below to see an Australian version of the resilience. Then notice what it ties to:
Why would I use an Australian version? Because it’s basically the same version the CCSS Machine is using via their ed documentary ‘research’! However, we must realize, this version is for ADULTS, not young children!!
We also need to realize that we know the CCSS Machine, as well as the documentary, view our students as ‘human capital’ or ‘talent pipeline supply’. Look at the underlined words above. Then, factor in how ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) also united workforce and education. Factor in the vast amount of SEL, ESSA contains, too.
Warriors, the filmmakers for Resilience have the bucks (aka: dollars). They also have the connections. As you can guess the two have been combined to create a 90 minute in-our-faces-social-emotional-learning-push.
However, that push isn’t reserved for the public school kids. It’s a push for a UNIVERSAL screening for FAMILIES.
Let’s not forget that due to ESSA’s mandates, SEL and a money trail are combined.
Oh, and Kaiser Permanente? Their goldmine? Health insurance is only part of their racket in this. KP is a global giant of a company.
Listen to their definition of ‘total health’.
Then compare it to the total health from another global health insurance giant, AXA.
Warriors, ‘total health’ to these businesses includes ‘whole body’. So applying this to the ‘whole child’ is a necessary step! As we know, the ‘whole child’ concept for education at the hands of the CCSS Machine has been made over into a system to conform them, not educate them! Because insurance companies insure your health, you know they also are involved in Medicare, Medicaid, Health Care Reform, and other related policy making ways. Ways in which it impacts our schools directly!
Rockefeller Foundation is also part of the Resilience movement. Their funding includes “Resilient Cities”. To see the Center for Youth Wellness, go here.
Other dollars for the Resilience movement will be found in these groups, too. Warriors, don’t forget that ‘new’ biology of the 21st Century will include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math). With STEM will be biometrics, too. Biometrics harvests personal data directly from your body.
Warriors, there is so much more which is tied to all this. The resources you are sharing are coming at me in a break neck speed fashion.
Just a couple of days ago, the White Houseunleashed its grab for SEL on our kids via the First Lady’s Initiative, “Be Best”. How will this involve SEL and education? Sec. DeVos was at Mrs. Trump’s side the day this was announced. So was the U.S. Sec. of Health and Human Services. (That’s where you’ll find SAMHSA, seen above.) SAMHSA is short for Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration.
Anti Fed Ed Warriors, I know many of you will be getting ready for celebrating Thanksgiving, as I will be. However, before we all eat too much, I wanted to leave you with some things to ponder.
You see a question in the article’s title. Look below and you’ll see another one to ponder.
Warriors, as we’ve seen time and time again from the CCSS Machine and its educratic overreaches that modern education is not about the academics, or even the true critical thinking; it’s about confining a student’s life to a predisposed track based on a workforce skills assessment. So imagine my non-surprise when I received an e-mail from the NC DPI (Dept. of Public Instruction)
Warriors, you really should see the rest of the education related compromises. While this IS a NC Legislative Budget supposedly for public education, it crosses the lines into private education and home education by using STEM, CTE, College and Career Promise, and more. In the academic year 2018-19, funds for the Coding Grant Program will double to $800,000.00.
What if you don’t live in NC? Well, Warriors, as we’ve learned from experience, when it’s connected to the CCSS Machine, it will be in ALL the States, Territories, and military bases contained within American power.

While NC’s not a PARCC State, I did find this evidence of the International Morse Code inserted into 4th Grade Common Core Standards.
Lumos is located in NJ. It’s also knee-deep in 21st Century skill based learning.

I also tried to locate the CEO, the Board of Directors, and other related information, but very little success was had.
Back to NC’s Coding Grant Program:
Warriors, what you see above is from the NC DPI’s document about the nuts and bolts behind the Coding Grant Program. Also in this document is that fact the entire Program gets off the ground in the Spring of 2018. The ‘winning schools’ will be judged on a 100 point scale as to how aligned their coding programs/partnerships are. Below, is just a portion of the judging (grading):
Warriors, this, of course brings about several questions. 1) What federal funds will these private coding partners receive, if any? 2) What State tax breaks will these coding partners receive? 3) What about any un-funded portions of the coding programs in schools. Will the taxpayers be expected to pick up the tab? 4) What happens if any of these schools are graded as failing?
5) What about the private schools and homeschool students utilizing NC DPI’s Virtual Public School or are involved in any early college/career programs?

3) The ALA (American Library Assoc.) is giving $500,000.00 in coding grants. The sponsor? Google.
4) When I searched for ‘National Coding Grants’, the National Endowment of the Humanities surfaced. They sold out to the CCSS Machine long ago. Since the NEH receives federal funding, think about this: coding means technology, innovation, and, computers. Which translates to data. Data needs to be collected and studied. We also know how data collection has turned into a massive nightmare for our freedoms and privacy. We also know that the federal government is making bold steps (no matter how illegally based they are) to create MORE data mining. All this data will need deciphers. How awful it is that our students education will train them for such ill purposes. Sadly, the NEH is not alone when it comes to federally funded grants for coding or anything related.
5) When I searched for ‘STEM Coding Grants’, the first resource which popped up was the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s Office of Innovation and Improvement. Below is the screen shot of the interactive map for all the innovation (will include Race to the Top, and much more) from FY 2009 to FY 2017.
6) To access the “STEM 2026: A Vision” from the U.S. Dept. of Education, visit the highlighted phrase.
What you see is that coding is tied to Google, United Way, and more. You’ll see what student groups are being most targeted for coding.
That brings me to ponder something else. Since ESSA was supposedly going to break down education for equality, why is the federal government working with the CCSS Machine to discriminate against students using education as the weapon?
Warriors, we know Google is hardly the lone aligner in all this coding. We also know that all this coding is meant to confine citizens.
Warriors, as I stated earlier, this is probably not the news you want to mull over during your family time. I do thank each of you for continuing to access my blog. I wish each of you a blessed time together. Look at what is going on in your State when it comes to coding or workforce based regional partners. Find out what is going on in your schools, or if your school is in the living room, look at what extra curricular activities involve anything related to any of the coding, apprenticeships, etc.
To my fellow anti CCSS Warriors, by default this includes those against the federally led education overhaul, as well as the global overreaches.
We know, from research, that all this can be traced to one source. The United Nations. By default, that encompasses the UNESCO arm. *UNESCO means United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. (To be precise, the ‘z’ is an American spelling, the official spelling uses a ‘s’.) We also know from research that what we have known as education (academics) is becoming ‘education’ (workforce training).
While I’ve seen many anti CCSS Warriors jump up and down with glee over the U.S. State Department’s announcement that the nation is leavingUNESCO, I am not among them. I will admit, it SOUNDS like a good move, but as always, the researchSTILL points to many ties which, UNESCO membership or NOT, the US will still be bound by. I’ll say it now, I am choosing to remain on the ‘offense’ side of this War Vs the Core.
Many media resources happily shared the US’s news about leaving UNESCO, but how many of them included in their headlines that We the People will have to wait until the end of 2018? Do we really think after the many years of the UN’s foundation laying educational overreach, that a measly year will be all it takes to truly be free of UNESCO? The CCSS Machine includes UN/UNESCO.
We have to look beyond the headlines, Warriors!
Some Facts: 1) Go to the U.S. State Dept. website right now and look at their headlining article. It’s not that the US is leaving UNESCO, it’s that we MUST have more STEM, especially for women! This is a UN‘play by the book’ move, if ever there was one!! In fact, this comes right out of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)Tool Kit. As we know, the SDGs use ‘education’ as a ‘change agent’ for all kinds of indoctrination.
In this article for Women and STEM, it states just how committed to STEM the Trump Administration is. Warriors, if ever there was a ‘hiding in plain sight’ statement which reveals the continued shift to un-American ideals, it’s that the DC leadership has totally sold out to this. The article also shows how the President has laid a foundation to cement STEM in America with the NSF and NASA programs. (Both are CCSS Machine supportive)
In the State Department’s“Other News”? Is the fact the US and China are welcoming 3 more partnerships for economic and technology purposes. So, it’s basically an agreement for MORESTEM (although not using the “STEM” acronym). STEM means “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math”.
2) In fact, a few days ago I exposed much about the UNESCO/UN and their STEM and STEAM(STEAM is STEM with the “Arts” embedded.).
3) Following that information, I showed you how the UN/UNESCO, the WSIS(World Summit on the Information Society) and the use of technology in a “Matrix” form that’s already embedded in the US (and the rest of the world) and will NOT be going away.
The yellow circles are highlighting that UNESCO is in charge of each of the categories. This is only 1 page of the WSIS/UN’s joint work. UNESCO is only shown 3 times in this screen shot, HOWEVER, the 3 categories are ICT (Information and Communications Technology), Media , and Knowledge! The black boxes show the SDG #4 which is education for all.
4) The US still owes UNESCOmoney, over $500 million to be exact. UNESCO uses part of the money it receives to oversee our American historic sites which are considered World Heritage sites.
5) UNESCO has several P3s(Public Private Partnerships) involved in the World Heritage Sites. How many of these American or American-tied groups will be willing to leave UNESCO?
6) What about the time between now and when the US leaves UNESCO? Well, the US becomes a kind of silent partner. It’ll be around to keep a watchful eye. HOWEVER, that means ‘education’ will still be up for alignment! Also, there’s a big question about the nextUNESCO leader.
7) The UN/UNESCO is really pushing AI (artificial intelligence), especially in ‘education’. This article from the Mirror (UK) is down-right creepy. My fellow anti CCSS Warrior, Alex Newman wrote and spoke about the AI being used to advance 2030 Agenda(of which the SDGs are now a part of. Previously, the SDGs were with Agenda 21, but 2030 is the newer version). Here’s what I found out about AI. Again, all this connects back to the massive WSIS/UN/UNESCO data control you see in #3 above.
8) From 2002, an article detailing why (then) Pres. Reagan removed the US from UNESCO. It appears the concern for media control is almost being overlooked in our current situation. This won’t be going away simply because our current Administration plans to remove America from UNESCO.
9) The infamousUNESCO/Gates ‘Cooperation Agreement‘ haunts us to the this day. It is THE single most telling root of the UNESCO plan for American ‘education’! This shift is SO embedded in America, thanks to WIOA(Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), and HEA (Higher Education Act) (to name a few laws), that our extraction from UNESCO won’t mean anything different. Add to this the UNESCO (Huxley) idea of what American education should become. After all, it plays right into the UNESCO/Gates Agreement.
Also thanks to the UN, our individual States have ‘pimped out’ their schools. In this article, I show you how MN went first back in the 1980s.
Finally, for #9, the UNESCO Publication 356. It lays out what ‘global education’ should be like. There’s a tremendous emphasis on ‘commonalities’. (*Note: I couldn’t find a date of publication, but this document has been around a while.)
10) Back in the 1960s (87th Congress), there was no problem with announcing the UNESCO was Communism after our children. So, what has happened between then and now to go from ‘no way’ to ‘hey, have our kids’?! The CCSS Machine is what’s happened!
11) Back in 2010, (then) U.S. Sec. of Education, Arne Duncan addressed UNESCO. Consider his remarks and how they fit into what was being coerced upon our States. Add to that the 2014 UNESCO Report for how far the shift to Universal Design for Learning(embedded in ESSA) had progressed.
What about Secretaries King and DeVos? Have they spoken out to stop UNESCO? Dr. King is currently the head of The Education Trust which is heavily funded by Bill Gates and other CCSS Machine members. Also at the Education Trust is Amber Arellano. Her biography at the Ed Trust reveals she was previously at the UN’s High Commissioner on Human Rights.
DeVos is mentioned in this Truth in American Education article as well as Sec. Tillerson (State Dept.) as ‘playing’President Trump with ‘education’. The UN has recognized DeVos’s family business (Amway) as one of the top companies in the world practicing biodiversity (a big component of the SDGs). Be sure to listen to the entire video below. It is from the late 1980s.

12) UNESCO and aligning teachers has been happening for quite a while. HOWEVER, it will not go away just because the US is leaving UNESCO. In fact, in 2015, the Incheon Declaration was made for all Member States and their commitment to adhering to the SDGs (Warriors, remember, education is Goal #4). As 2030 Agenda compliance dictates, that means our US teachers will have to have their professional development align!
You can see the International Task Force on Teachers (formed 2008, as part of the OnsloEFA (Education For All) meeting) Part 2 Strategy Plan. The Plan was completed in 2016.
Warriors, I realize this may not be a well received article. Truth usually isn’t easy to hear. I do have some optimism about the US leaving UNESCO, but with all this evidence, I am being very cautious in my thinking. I think we all should be cautious. I know we all MUST speak the truth about the CCSS Machine. I want to thank the many dedicated Warriors who supplied their documents for this article.

I know when you invented the first machine which would go on to become the pattern for computers, you had no plans to see your creation turned into a tool to be used against people. I imagine you were just thrilled to use your math skills to build something to help them instead. It probably was hard being so ‘different’, back then. It hasn’t gotten much better in 2016.
I’m so sorry your hard work has been manipulated to now be on the threshold of ruining education for everyone.
(*Note: Anti CCSS Warriors, if you do not know Mr. Charles Babbage’s contributions to math or his quest to build calculators; how he is known world-wide for being the ‘father of computers’, look him up. It’s quite a great history lesson.)
‘Meet’ the Education Nanny:
Actually, Warriors, we already KNOW the ‘education nanny’: technology! We’ve seen the massive overreach of technology in our classrooms, our lives; and are now finding out how technology via ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) will INCREASE even more. You’ve read not only my research on this topic. There are other Anti CCSS Warriors who consistently share the ins-and-outs/ups-and-downs of HOW this is happening.
However, let’s briefly review:
1) The technology nanny is global and backed by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
2) No educational choice will escape the data mining that accompanies technology or the alignment to workforce based education as laid out in ESSAand connected federal laws.
3) Mandates and funding in ESSA bring the technology nanny into your home.
4) New strides are being made daily by the CCSS Machine to sell us on how MORE tech is not only a good thing, but needed to survive as a global citizen.
5) Many current candidates in every level of the 2016 elections (from federal to your town) are helping spin the technology nanny via ‘digital textbooks’, ‘better connectivity for our cities’, etc.
Examples of the technology nanny already exist,Warriors!
1) Digital badges in education for leaders AND students.
2) ‘Smart Cities’ (Part of the i3 Initiative from the White House)
3) 1:1 (one computer for one person in every classroom)
4) No textbooks/no homework (you, as a Warrior cannot fight what you cannot hold in your hand and read. You can’t help with homework when there is none. You also are losing your right to see what Johnny and Suzy are learning.)
5) Diplomas and transcripts are being phased out and replaced with national credentials which follow you throughout your education AND employment.
So, What’s Really New?
I do not know about you, but recently, I was able to see some TV ads displaying new toys. What’s so thinly veiled? The technology nanny is targeting our babies, even BEFORE they are ready to learn in a school setting. Of course, thanks to the Universal Pre K push by the current administration and ESSA’s language mandates, expect these sorts of toys to not only increase, but to become more not so thinly veiled in aligned agenda.
For example, one of the ads I saw was on a cable channel during a popular adult viewing time (after 9 pm). The ad was for the latest ‘smart baby’ coding (as in old school computer programming skills) toy.
Coding is how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is becoming rammed down our throats. This fits right into the Master STEM Plan I’ve been telling you about from almost the very beginning of my blog articles. If you’ve missed the Master Plan, it’s basically this: a STEM education (which was ushered in at about the same time as CCSS, so no one would really notice) for a STEM workforce to become a STEM nation.
If you look at ESSAand all its post-secondary readiness (ie: college and career readiness, challenging state academic standards, and CTE (Career Tech Education), etc.) you’ll notice that a huge portion of all this readiness is in the STEM fields. There’s also ‘region specific training’ involved.
Then look at the i3 Initiative, much of it is all about technology..from studying our brains, to Smart Cities. Then look back to ESSA.
Infrastructure to ensure every student, regardless of educational choice or location is to be 24/7 hooked into technology. If you are not sure what i3 stands for it’s “Investing in Innovation”. Related: Texas is fighting right now against having “Districts of Innovation”.
Again, look back to ESSA. Also, refer back to the White House, the “Computer Science for All” is to be joined into ESSA. Digital Promise, another White House Initiative is now codified in ESSA.
In this screen shot, you’ll see VTech has experts your parents are not only to rely on, but to seek out their advice. Considering they are aligned to CCSS, STEM, and STEAM. Most of their products are for early learners, I think that’s shameful.
As far as the STEM expert, her advice? “One of the most important things a parent should do is to expose their child early and frequently to the use of technology. Many schools are now are moving away from traditional textbooks and moving toward the use of technology for teaching and completing assignments.”

Is Purdue tied to the CCSS Machine? It’s a Land Grant University (LGUs). Between ESSA, WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) and the HEA (Higher Education Act), LGUs are ensnared. Purdue also has begun re-inventing high school via their Polytechnic High School.

U.S. House of Representative’s Ed and Workforce Committee, 9/21/16, 10:00 am (EDT). Top agenda item? “Supplanting ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) via a regulatory fiat.” In layman’s terms, ‘make it so’ regulations for ESSA where LEAs and Title 3 funding.”
What in the world is Title 3 funding? What does the ‘supplanting’ have to do with ESSA’s regulations?!

Includes leadership development, etc.) Also notice, this is a direct tie to post-secondary education. HEA (Higher Education Act) is SUPPOSED to be the law which handles all post-secondary education, yet ESSA is jammed with ties to post-secondary education and the HEA! That ESSA “Safe Road to Hell” is the ‘supplanting’! Remember, Warriors, we’ve heard selective phrases from many of the Congressional members sold out to the CCSS Machine tell us, that because of the Law, states can choose what to do. A choice set of selective comments has centered on the ‘supplements’by the Feds to ‘assist’ the States in ESSA. The ‘supplanting’ (aka ‘incentives’ we saw in RttT) are supposedly at an end and will be NO MORE!

This Memorial Day Weekend, the anti CCSS Warriors have been super in participating in the #my3anticcswords or #myanticcswords campaign.! We know the Core stinks! We know the damage the entire educational reform is reeking on our students of ALL ages and educational choices. If we’re not seeing it in our current educational choice, it’s there waiting in the next chapter of our education. NO! This is NOT right.
We should have freedom to choose our education choice, we should be free from massive indoctrination, over assessments, aligned careers to suit corporate America and not our own desires.

It’s the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week. I’d be remiss if you didn’t know how much I thank you for all you do. Especially in this modern age of too much federal overreach, too many P3 (public, private partnerships) grasps at running education, and how hard pressed you are to remain in the profession you chose. As a fellow educator, I salute you. You are an inspiration every day you get up, go to work, and face the CCSS laden classes.
It’s my honor to serve you, to give you fact based evidence on a daily basis, so you can know what’s behind the many layers of fallacy we’ve come to see when anything related to CCSS shows up. I especially thank those educators who’ve reached out to me: either for help or to say ‘you nailed it, Lynne!’ When I began my fight against CCS/CTE and any national standard, I had no idea I’ve been able to help so many people. We may not always agree, but I’m glad we are on the same side.
For the educators who are Moms, I’d like to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day Weekend. You lead not only in the classrooms, but in your homes. For some of you, your classroom IS your home! Thank you for ALL that you do.

I don’t know about your battle in your state, but here in NC, things are far from over. News that we don’t have CCSS anymore is just a plain lie. Our state is like the others seeking to be free. None of us are truly free yet. However, the post today is about celebrating and pressing on..not what’s wrong about CCSS. For that, we’d need an entire planet. That way we could take aim, fire, and blow it up. But, a warrior can dream, right?!
