“Smarty Pants”?! Not!

It’s the first weekend of 2019, Anti Fed Ed Warriors! One of the things media loves to do is create countdown lists from the past year. If it’s not a countdown, it’s a ‘best of’ list to celebrate some minute event. You know, like “2018’s Best Places to Get a Hot Dog” or such.

subjectobject
CCSS: Using subjective groups to appear objective to us.

I don’t really pay attention to those lists. However, there was ONE which did catch my eye. It was a list of the most educated towns in all 50 states. The catch? It’s from a corporate viewpoint (ie: Big Business or Big Biz). With the educratic BS the CCSS Machine has been spitting out for years via Big Biz about education, we need to take a closer look, in my opinion. What makes the corporate world think it’s such an ‘expert’ in education, anyway?!

Three Blind Mice Clip Art N4 image in Vector cliparts category at pixy.orgThe “Survey”:

Business Insider used U.S. Census Bureau data  to publish the “Most Educated Town in Every State” in December 2018.
You had to be at least 25 years of age, have a bachelor’s degree, and have at least 1,000 citizens in your town. From these 3 items, Business Insider discovered that across the nation, education levels are different (gee, really?) and educational achievement can be found at all kinds of levels. (again, do we really need a business publication to tell us that?)
Here’s the map Business Insider created:

biusa.jpg

A quick side note about Business Insider, it’s a German owned tech/digital/business group. Founded in the US, a powerhouse German publishing company bought the group in 2015. While the reliability of BI (Business Insider) has been questioned, the one point remains: millions still access and accept the news the media group sells/shares. Another fact, you’ve got a German based company accessing U.S. Census data.

So, Here’s A Question:

Warriors, is there any connection of the “Most Educated” towns to those “Smart Cities” across America? Look below at the same map from Business Insider with some emphasis I added. Yes, there’s an absolute connection!!

smarteducate

Where did I find my information to make the connection between “Most Educated” and “Smart Cities”? The U.S. Dept. of Transportation. Why DoT? Smart Cities must change your city’s infrastructure to succeed.

ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) actually mandated innovation and infrastructure changes to be made. However, ESSA’s not the only law of the land allowing this. Many other federal laws are, as well. Anything law with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) will impact infrastructure changes.

Why all the changes? To align our nation with the Sustainable Development Goals from the United Nations and UNESCO. Many experts on “Smart Cities” will tell you the proof exists to point to a global agenda of being tracked, data mined (aka: data raped) constantly in these Smart Cities. What if you live in the country or rural areas?

How will you be tracked? You’ll be herded into a “most educated” or “Smart City” near you. For example, in the map I created, NC has the ‘most educated’ town near Asheville, NC. Asheville isn’t near a bonafied “Smart City” right now (it is in an “Innovation Zone” for NC). The nearest “Smart City”? Charlotte.

What’s interesting about Asheville (besides having a ‘most educated’ label now) is that is uses a data raping innovation system called “Passport”. Supposedly Passport is such a hit with big cities and small towns because it can help relieve congestion. Other ‘benefits’ can help police or even make your city/town safer. If you have a ‘safer city’ you have a less stressed citizen group. The less stress you have, the better your mental health will be. I kid you not. Access the ‘white paper’ research behind this, here. Then, see for yourselves a summary in the screen shot:

passportsafe

Think about the ESSA mandates and mental health grabs via ‘Safe Schools’. “Safe Schools” must be in ‘safe cities’. Look at your State’s legislation concerning ‘safe schools’ it’s more control, not more freedom or safety.

Enter The OAS (Organization of American States):

Back in 2016, I showed you that the US was involved in the OAS (Organization of American States) and that some research had been done to connect OAS to “Smart Cities”.

Here’s a screen shot from the OAS Ministers of Education meeting (held in 2017, in the Bahamas):

oassdgWas America there at this meeting in 2017? Yes:

oregonduckoas(*Note the badge on around the lady’s neck. The upper right corner has “OAS”.)

Warriors, see the US Flag? See the message by “OAS”?
oasusflag

Then, this US lady (unknown to me). Look at her expression:

usladyoas
Since much of the OAS mission for education is to add more technology, more early childhood learning all while adhering to the UN’s SDGs, you may like to see what the 10 SEL (Social Emotional Learning) global goals are or the 6 Global Competencies we’ll have to all have. I showed you that and how it ties to ESSA and school safety (aka community safety) in October 2018.

Warriors, in 2018, OAS joined Amazon Web Services for a joint ‘research’ paper (aka: slick spin doctor document) on Smart Cities and technology. At the center? Five G (5G Technology).

Warriors, if you want to learn about the ‘social acceptance’ expected of We the People when it comes to “Smart Cities” we need only to look at the short video featured at the 2018 Connected  Smart Cities Conference. The Conference is a part of the “Open and Agile Smart Cities” (OASC) based in Europe.

Within the 7 minutes you’ll learn quite a bit about the agenda, you’ll be able to apply some of what’s already in place in Europe to America, especially as business stands to gain a fortune via “Smart Cities”. You’ll be able to learn citizens have a manifesto to adhere to, that P3s (public private partnerships) must be used. (*Note: P3s are fascism in nature, therefore totally un-American, yet we’re so run over by the CCSS Machine and DC legislation,{ESSA’s an example} it’s treasonous.)

There are quite a few ‘alphabet soup’ acronyms given by the speaker. Here is a brief list and how it connects to the US and/or Smart Cities:

DIN: (Deutsches Institut fur Normung) This is a German Investment Group with strong ties to American auto industry, materials testing, internet, and healthcare technology). DIN’s roots go back about 100 years.

EC: European Commission (has an Urban Agenda for citizens which involves compliance. Also works hand in hand with the EU, European Union) Many workforce/education models from the EC have been embedded in US legislation, mainly at the federal levels.

BSI: British Standards Institute offers business, medical, and industry parameters. Has an office in the US and impacts several aspects of daily living. Also deals in investing.

ETSI (2017): European Telecommunications Standards Institute. Handles technology and digital aspects. From the “Smart Cities” aspect, it has developed  Context Information Management (harnesses all the smart device data available*. For example, your smart meter, smart car, in home assistant, etc.) and City Digital Profiles. (*the pdf is from the Open and Agile Smart Cities Conference explaining how the data is collected. There are a few good illustrations.)

ISO: International Organization for Standards This international group is not only key to business and industry, but is 100% involved with the SDGs.

ITU: International Telecommunication Union This Union is big on technology, internet, data, and, AI (artificial intelligence). ITU is a part of WSIS (World Summit on the Information Society). WSIS is a key UN partner. In April 2019, the Summit will focus on the advancement of the SDGs and includes UNESCO as well as a host of CCSS Machine connected groups tied to all of these listed.

Horizon 2020: This is an EC massive initiative. Basically, it’s Research and Development for innovation for the entire European Commission. Not only does it impact businesses, but will use job skill training for employment. Backed by P3s (as the EC calls it P2P) and legislation. Of the information I found, the funds to pay for all this alignment have been extended. One of the grants used was to break hundreds of years old religious practices to promote tolerance. Science and healthcare are also involved.

EFSI: European Fund for Strategic Investment is part of the EC as well. Under the EFSI is what is called the Juncker Plan. The Plan is to find ways to make Europe as mighty as in once was by investing in all aspects of life.

EIB: European Investment Bank is the financial arm of the EU. They invest heavily in “Smart Cities”.

Closing:

Warriors, I’m not sure how ‘smart’ the CCSS Machine thinks it is, I do know it’s got a bloated image of itself, especially when it’s assumed we are ‘dumb bunnies’ who will roll over and accept all this blindly. The reason I took such time to dig into this one Business Insider article was I knew the real truth would never come out. There is much, here which connects to education, but there’s EVEN more which shows the pattern to assaulting our freedoms! We MUST share this type of truth, my followers. If we will not stand for freedom, who will?!

Using ‘Crisis’ To Drive Agenda

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, I do believe our current Congress has reached an all-time low with the pair of federal derived education bills, S 1421 and HR 3828.

Both are titled the Patsy T. Mink Gender Equity in Education Act. Both claim the purpose of the legislation is to protect citizens from sexual inequality. But, what if, hidden in plain sight of these 2 bills is an agenda for aligned education? The savior for protecting us? STEM (as in Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math)!!

Personal note: I am in no way advocating sexual inequality nor do I promote sexual harassment. However, if we are to have important legislation protecting our citizens could we POSSIBLY leave the UN’s (and CCSS Machine’s) STEM out of it?!

stempbl1
Make NO mistake: it has been a calculated plan for STEM and Common Core to be directly related.

The Legislation:
S 1421’s
link
HR 3828’s
link
(*Note: The Senate’s version was introduced in June 2017; the House’s in Sept. 2017. Both are in their respective Education and Labor Committees.)

The Lady:

Warriors, if you are not sure who Patsy T. Mink was, she was a very important leader from HI. She is basically the mother of Title 9. When Title 9 was much younger, it was created so that women and girls would have equal access to sports.
It’s only been in recent years that Title 9 has been reworded to NOW cover anyone who feels sexually left out of education.

Mrs. Mink was also key in President Johnson’s Great Society legislative campaign. She served twice on the U.S. House’s Education and Workforce Committee, helped begin Head Start and, so much more. (*Note: it was President Johnson who ‘gave’ us the original ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) now ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act)

Sadly, though, Warriors, Head Start has been CCSS aligned for a while. The Education and Workforce Committee is a ‘lock, stock, and, barrel’ member of the CCSS Machine.

As far as the ‘Great Society’, we see those ties are being used for much of the social justice movement, also a key part of the CCSS Machine AND UN’s SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) agenda. STEM, is a direct product to help drive education to these social justice ends.

The Language:

Warriors, the entire purpose of these twin Bills is this:
“To support educational entities in fully implementing title IX and reducing
and preventing sex discrimination in all areas of education.”
Sadly, it takes 24 pages to explain what the ‘support’ means.

On Page 2 of the Senate’s Bill version, you’ll see the National Women’s Law Center is mentioned. NWLC has helped former President Obama’s data mining pay scale initiative to get off the ground. They’ve also helped wage a major educational disparities campaign (again with the work and support of the White House).

The NWLC also has successfully forced in-depth and precisely detailed ‘student data rape’ to continue. Why? The more details the more we can level the playing field.

If the NWLC would look at the massive data mining in this way (as many of those of us in the War Vs the Core) they may realize just how serious accessing private student information is.

Did you know the NWLC also was key in getting Early Head Start and Head Start funds in ESSA? Also, those community development block grants which will fund the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Promise Neighborhoods, and, more?

These were all also mandated in ESSA.

The last NWLC item we Warriors need to know is that they are funded by some of the biggest CCSS Machine members. The truth can be seen beginning on Page 18 of their last Annual Report.

On Page 3 of S 1421, another group is mentioned: The American Association of University Women. According to AAUW’s last Annual Report,  they regularly fund STEM programs at local levels! From their website, you can find CCSS Machine corporate partners.

aauw

Warriors, how many times do we have to find out that our Congress is listening to the big bucks, not the everyday citizens?!

While S 1421 and HR 3828 are exact copies, what can we see embedded from the House’s copy?
Page 3 “STEM Pipeline” used to describe the workforce aligned shift. (Scroll back up to what this really means)
Page 4, NSF (National Science Foundation), again more CCSS Machine/UN endorsed agenda skewing the truth.
Page 4, The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network’s Report information is used as justification. The GLSEN is also heavily back by key CCSS Machine member groups (for example: Wells Fargo, the Walt Disney Company, Target, and, many others)

Corporations tied to CCSS do NOT represent the people’s voice.

More Fed Ed Power:

Warriors, the Equity Act being considered in DC hasn’t seen much action that We the People have been made aware of, but, before we assume this type of action will go away, we need to consider that any of the DC bills I’ve been studying could be rolled out anytime now..or, in the future. We’ve seen it happen way too many times in the past.

We also need to consider that embedded in BOTH bills is room for more federal funding to dictate what happens at State and local levels in education; that the Dept of Education will expand to ensure ‘equity’ is achieved. This will show up in anti-bullying, ‘safe schools’, and other ‘wrap around’ services. Every single one of these were mandated in ESSA using Title 1 funds. However, other Title funds would now be COMBINED to align learning to, not an equity-like level, but to a ‘one-way-to-learn-so-you-can-earn system’.

Related:
Back in 2016, I revealed to you the Gender Intelligence going on in education. It’s tied to Pearson Publishing, the Clinton Global Initiative, the STEM of the UN, and, more! (*Note: Mrs. Mink was also a part of President Clinton’s team.)

Closing:

Warriors, these tactics are directly taken from the UN-inspired SDG Toolkit created in the US back in the early 2000s. I’ve shared this Toolkit many times.

We need to understand that S 1241 and HR 3828 use ‘equity’. Both use ‘equality’. We’ve seen how the two are NOT the same, do not mean the same, and, should not be interchangeably used! Yet, bill after bill from the federal level continues to use double speak.
If you want to know WHY there’s an especially great level of misinformation with ‘equity’ and ‘equality’? My 2014 article will give you a fantastic place to look. (*Note: just in case the link embedded in that archive doesn’t work, here it is again.)

State Digital Education

knewtondigital

Anti CCSS Warriors, if you have seen my last two articles, then you know the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) has mandates for digital education embedded, a massive and invasive data collection study in the works and more.
But what about the digital education push from your state’s level? In case you haven’t read the articles, please note both are very detailed, so be sure you take your time reading them. Today’s is also jam packed, but it it imperative we read and share!

Thursday’s Article: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/04/essa-and-digital-overload/
This Past Weekend’s Article: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/05/weekend-news-the-ies-and-the-essa/

The U.S. Dept. of Ed’s Latest Propaganda:

In preparing for this article, I stumbled upon the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s latest Twitter video. It fits right into today’s question concerning the state levels for digital education. What a slick sales pitch for College/Career Readiness AND digital learning!
See:

https://amp.twimg.com/v/dcb95af5-160a-47b5-a48a-5a293dfe2e18

Now that you have watched the video, look at this screen shot (also from the Knewton Presentation seen above).
facilitatedigitalIf you would like to see the entire Knewton Presentation, see:
https://www.knewton.com/infographics/the-state-of-digital-education-infographic/
(*Note: Knewton is hardly anti-CCSS or for that matter, anti-ANYTHING that goes with them.)

See:
1) http://curmudgucation.blogspot.com/2014/03/who-puts-scary-in-pearson-meet-knewton.html

2) Access this YouTube video from my fellow anti CCSS Warrior, Nicole Revels:

So, What’s in Your State?

The video above was specific to an NC meeting. However, look at the information presented, it doesn’t stop at the NC state lines! The data mining, digital education tie is in ALL 50 States! So where do you look to find the amounts of money, people, and legislation allowing all this to happen? How will the newly passed ESSA law (with all its digital education mandates) change all this already in place?

1) State Policy Network (SPN) claims their digital education toolkit is the best available. However, I tend to see their toolkit as a subjective view NOT an objective one. Why? First, look at the toolkit’s main page and you will see an embedded video from KIPP ( a very big CCSS Machine member) See my previously published article: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/12/18/tech-thursday-the-latest-faux-pas-in-education-workforce/
Then, check out the Gates Foundation Grant Database, where KIPP has been generously awarded money for alignment to all things CCSS: http://www.gatesfoundation.org/How-We-Work/Quick-Links/Grants-Database#q/k=KIPP
The KIPP connection is but one clue the SPN Toolkit is subjective. There is more:
See: http://nonprofitquarterly.org/2013/11/14/corporate-money-in-network-of-right-wing-state-policy-think-tanks/

There are 5 goals the SPN states as to WHY digital education is so vital today. You can see the excerpt, “Evaluate students (based on what they know, not how long they are in a place);
Certify and evaluate teachers (based on how well they teach what they know, not the credentials obtained); Evaluate courses and materials (based on state standards); Provide access (instead of getting in the way); and Pay for all of it (with proper accountability).”
To see the entire Toolkit: http://www.spn.org/digital_education/

2) SETDA and the Friday Institute have a June 2015 report detailing the 50 States and Digital Education. Before we look at it, however, consider that BOTH are also Pro-CCSS/CCR/CTE (Common Core State Standards, College and Career Readiness, Career Tech Education) See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/05/15/fom-sbac-and-parcc-revisited/
Then: http://ladyliberty1885.com/2015/08/30/possibly-the-most-arrogant-and-insulting-common-core-article-ive-seen-in-a-while/

According the the 2015 Report, there are 5 States heralded as leaders in digital education:
Alabama, North Carolina, Utah, Indiana, and Kentucky. There are also 5 main components of digital education every State will have, thanks to ESSA.
5digital
As I have shared with you in past 2 articles detailing the digital mandates in ESSA, the Infrastructure will be one of the biggest clues as to where to look in your State. What are the plans for better internet in your area? Are your service providers upgrading their systems? Has your state recently passed legislation for Rural Education funding? There are other similar questions for you to ask.

To access the June 2015 Report (where just below this screen shot you will see the descriptions of how each of the 5 goals will be obtained): DigitalLearningExemplars_June2015

As an example of legislation passed, here in NC, to support digital learning, read this excerpt from the Report, “State Law 2013-12 requires the North Carolina
Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) to assist districts in the transition from textbooks to digital materials by 2017. These materials must be effective for all learners and align with the curriculum and standards. Such a law promotes progress toward some level of digital learning statewide.” What if you don’t live in one of the 5 States mentioned as leaders? The Report will also detail all the other States and where they are in the path of mass alignment.

Since AL is considered to be the #1 leader in the shift to digital education, see this article about the Governor pushing for more fiber optic connections throughout the State:
http://www.centerdigitaled.com/k-12/Alabama-Governor-Pushes-Fiber-Optic-Cables-for-Schools.html

If you would like to see how SETDA is modernizing the E-rate in your State, see:
http://www.setda.org/priorities/equity-of-access/e-rate-modernization/

So Where in ESSA are the Libraries?

Based on the ESSA Final Conference Report (I shared the document with you in the Thursday article mentioned above), here are page numbers concerning digital education and libraries:
1) Page 138, school libraries and their programs to be updated to digital
2) Page 323, school libraries and their programs must offer digital courses to all school leaders
3) Page 343, school libraries and their programs to lead all school employees in digitally led courses as part of ‘safe schools’
4) Page 384, possible U.S. Dept. of Ed Secretary awarded grants for school libraries and digital led programming
5) 387, all libraries (school or public) are included, with museums, non-profits, and post-secondary educational instututions
6) Page 515, after school programs via extended public library services/hours
7) Page 1,000, authorizes the LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) grant money to be used for technology upgrades and/or purchases for digital education for all
8) Page 1,037, embeds the Museum and Library Services Act, MLSA
