100, 500, and Still Counting

Celebrating my 100 anti CCSS/Fed Ed blog followers AND my 500th post! We’ve come quite a long way together. I pray our time together will continue to be fruitful. We seek not fame or fortune in what we do to fight the CCSS Machine. We ARE, however, leaving a legacy of patriotism, devotion to remaining free, and love for our people, regardless of educational choices. We do what we do to help each other, not to stand on each other’s shoulders. How absolutely refreshing it would be to see our leaders do the same.

Numbers..Everywhere!

There’s a double purpose to using numbers in this article. One of the best ways to get news out is social media. However, some sites are more oppressive than others. So, purpose #1 is to celebrate, purpose #2 is to hide the article in plain sight on social media.

I’m Not the Only One Spinning Numbers:

ICYMI: My latest article which was banned on Facebook revealed how numbers will be shifted to abuse teachers via ESSA and Title 2 Funds; how special needs and their IDEA funds via ESSA get squeezed; how numerous families across our nation will now be receiving “Family Engagement Ambassadors” aka U.S. Dept. of Ed Parent Nannies.
See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/09/28/bon-voyage-hello-grinders/

Then, there are the numbers CCSS Machine member/publisher McGraw-Hill are trying to spin in their most recent survey. I just found this one yesterday.

mcgrawed

Oh, I cannot stop chuckling over how stupid this company assumes us to be by a quiz like this!

dumb

So, what questions does McGraw-Hill have? The brief introduction tells you they got together with top education research groups to create this. Can’t you just smell the CCSS Machine stench already? But wait, it gets deeper. Scroll down to the bottom of the main page and you’ll see it’s a survey to point to the 2016 elections!! I kid you not.

Q1) Proficiency in math question. (Source: the NAEP scores)
Q2)  About ELLs (English Language Learners) (Source: U.S. Dept. of Ed’s National Center for Educational Stats)
Q3)  U.S.’s world rank in reading. (Source: PISA)
Q4)  Low-income students percentage. (Source: Southern Education Foundation)
Q5)  Internet speed in schools. (Source: Education Superhighway) *Note: according to the explanation, 3/4 of the country NOW exceeds the FCC’s requirement.
Q6)   High school graduation numbers. (Source: U.S. Dept. of Ed)
Q7) Cost of remediation in colleges. (Source: Education Reform Now)
Q8) How long it takes to graduate college. (Source: National Student Clearinghouse Research Center)

Oh, and you’ll find it ironic that I ‘flunked’ this survey from the “how many did you get correct” viewpoint. Oh well, flunking a CCSS Member group survey is not something I will fret over. On the more serious side of this survey though, look at the questions agenda points, the sources cited, and what will be more than likely coming soon.

Remember, the ‘fine print’ points all this to the November 2016 elections. Helping drive the conversation? None other than McGraw-Hill’s CEO. Read his article, https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/lets-talk-education-david-levin

If you would like more CCSS Machine numbers, McGraw-Hill ever-so-nicely embedded their Workforce Readiness 2016 Study in the CEO’s article..and think, just in time to influence our votes.

Check out this bunch of numbers from the Study:

I’ve got an idea, use this screen shot as proof that your State’s CTE (Career Tech Education), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), as well as CCSS (Common Core State Standards or by their ‘new’ name, CCR, College and Career Readiness) Tracks, Paths, etc. AREN’T WORKING!!

This Study also plays the ‘gender card’. That’s something you may wish to see. You may wish to see how McGraw-Hill’s plays into Pearson Publishing ‘gender intelligence’ CCSS Machine plan. If you didn’t know about Pearson Publishing ‘GI’, I’ve got your back.

Need More Numbers?

10/17/16: US PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education) “Keep Your Child Home From School Day” to protest the U.S. Dept. of Ed on its 40th anniversary. See:
http://www.uspie.org/protest-fed-ed-.html

I have understood via social media that more groups besides US PIE are doing something ‘radical’ for Ed’s 40th anniversary.  As long as we Warriors Against the Core are rebelling against educational tyranny on that day (or for that matter, every day), I think the message will become even louder. If we could unite our events, beyond  our usual circles of influence, we could teach Congress what true teamwork CAN do! As always, know that I am all for speaking out, just be safe and respectful.

This number:

Congress, 9/29/16; call! Protest the move to remove American internet and give it total global access. Knowing how much ESSA is spending on digital, Internet, and all related parts, we NEED our privacy as in tact as we can to protect our children.

See my dear fellow Warriors (Gretchen Logue/Cheri Kiesecker) warning article!

Closing:

Warriors, I’ll have more news about numbers and legislation soon. In the meantime, fight, fight, with all your might!  I leave you with a short clip from a TV show in the 1960s called “The Prisoner”. The show was one my Daddy loved. I hated it. I was so young, it scared me.

While I don’t know the entire plot, I do know the main character was not free to be himself. He was assigned a number; his name no longer necessary. Of all the things we give our children, their names are their very first gift upon their birth. Their names are beautifully hand-picked, lovingly chosen, and carry on our family identities. Much like “The Prisoner”, our children are in danger of losing who they truly are.

Success is Costly

Warriors, what price do you think the CCSS Machine has put on our nation? It has to be an astronomical amount. I mean to continue to bend over backwards to ensure ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) carries on the mission of the CCSS Machine, no expense is too little. No lie is too small. The agenda is globally encompassing.

Last evening, the US PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education), joined anti CCSS Warrior forces with PJNET (Patriot Journalists Network) and spread (via Twitter) the clear, concise, and TRUTHFUL messages about ESSA, specifically about the current Proposed Regulations and the vast amount of power Sec. Dr. King will use…at our expense.

Was the social media protest from last night successful? Yes! Volunteers from all over created special images depicting our dissent, distrust, and anger over ESSA, Sec. Dr. King, and the Proposed Regulations. The evening was SO successful that Warriors are STILL re-tweeting these truths! Why? Because each one of the protest tweets goes directly to the U.S. Dept. of Education! What is the cost of this success? Hours upon hours were poured into the Rally. That’s the great thing about grass-roots groups, their passions are deep, their dedication to truth is priceless. For all the big bucks the CCSS Machine is spending, it can’t match our Warrior spirits!

rallytweets

For number crunchers, just over 5, 700 tweets of protest were delivered to the U.S. Dept. of Ed on Monday evening. Today, there are about 940 protest tweets being sent.

We can do more! We need to flood the U.S. Dept. of Ed with truth!

We have from now until 8/1/16 to publicly dissent. The Twitter Action page put together by PJNET is still up and running. So use it, if you can. You can also create your own messages to send to the US Dept. of Ed. The tweets and images PJNET is using are the ones the volunteers in (or associated) with US PIE created just for this event.

IF you don’t use Twitter, use other social media to help spread a message of public outcry over these Regulations. The U.S. Dept. of Ed also has a link to the Federal Registry for public outcries to be sent to. The Federal Registry is a great body of evidence and testimony we should use (it is free) for our cause of ending the reign of educational abuse at the hands of the Feds in America!

When you visit the Federal Registry, note some of the other comments submitted. Especially the ‘canned ones’ by some of the pro ESSA/CCSS groups (especially the NEA).
To access the Comment Page: https://www.regulations.gov/comment?D=ED-2016-OESE-0032-0001
To read the comments: https://www.regulations.gov/docket?D=ED-2016-OESE-0032

I would suggest you skip the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s view of the Proposed Regulations. You know they will wax eloquent (and confusing) about just what these implementation rules for ESSA do. The Regulations span 192 pages.

If you haven’t seen the Talking Points Against the ESSA Proposed Regulations, US PIE has put together: http://nebula.wsimg.com/c3dbda7825b179bb2ad5358ef3acc6a4?AccessKeyId=13C8A0E7EBB1F1E5E658&disposition=0&alloworigin=1

It will cost you little to read these AND then make your comments public in the ways you think will be the MOST effective. (As for myself, I am using any social media I have access to and the Federal Registry.)

jointtweet

It is important to note that Congress is on recess. As such, contacting them with your comments (which we should do) may not receive much feedback. However, what we need to point out is something Dr. Sandra Stotsky and I have in common. We have discussed it in a private email exchange.

Who (or what group) wrote the Proposed Regulations? Why does it matter? If the U.S. Dept. of Ed DIDN’T write them, they cannot and should not be used. They are illegal!

This, my Warriors, IS a matter your Congress members should address. To be the most effective with this, I truly believe we need to wait until Congress is back in session. An inquiry, at the very least, should be conducted. Does that mean we shouldn’t have conversations about this matter between now and then? Absolutely not! We should be prudent in our planning, if this is an avenue we Warriors need to take.

Success does include financial costs. If you would like to give a small (or large) donation to either the U.S. PIE group or the PJNET for their hard work, as a ‘thank you’ for the Rally, please do. Both grass-roots organizations receive no funds which are tied to the CCSS Machine. As such, every bit helps our anti CCSS cause tremendously.

US PIE’s funding link: http://www.uspie.org/home.html (look for the ‘donate’ button on the top right corner to be linked to PayPal)

Closing:

As for myself, no cost is too much when it comes to fighting for this nation, its freedom, our citizens, and most especially, our children. Thank you for being of a like mind, anti CCSS Warriors. Together, we are unstoppable!

Strange Things

fallacy
Hello, my Warriors! What a week this has been for the anti CCSS/Fed Led Ed folks. Censorship, watching tyranny in D.C., and having a helping hand through it all!
Not at all sure what I am referring to? Read on!

The Censorship:

As we all know, the  CCSS Machine has member organizations everywhere. Social media included. As other Anti CCSS Warriors have pointed out, Facebook is in the mix. I, too, have shared how, but they get enough attention..This past Monday, I had just finished my article where I was featuring the past few interviews I either gave or was a part of. Am I such a stuck up person I need to promote myself? NO!! The information, as ALWAYS, is the ‘Diva’ we need to pay attention to.

In the article I had many tips, resources cited, and more. Then, I go to add a touch of satire via the main image you see when I post. Little did I know that BBQ-wedding-cake-screen-shot-turned-anti-ESSA-message would cause such mayhem! As soon as I was blocked from sharing nation-wide, trusty anti CCSS Warriors from everywhere stepped up to share it for me. I am deeply grateful for not only their assistance in sharing Monday’s post, but Tuesday’s as well. (*Note: Media Wednesday went unscathed as far as banishment, blockage, or censorship.) Sadly, I will ‘retire’ the piggy poke..for now.

Link to Monday’s: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/recent-interviews/
Link to Tuesday’s: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/04/12/ftf-loose-ends-are-still-strings/ (*Note: This article will reveal how some of the seemingly innocent programs, resources, or people are in truth connected to the ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act.)

The Tyrant Rants On:

While I didn’t write about this particular article, it is worth sharing with you here in the article. Why? It directly relates to ESSA AND Sen. Lamar Alexander, who so adamantly swore ESSA MUST be implemented EXACTLY as it was written! While this sounds good, remember from whom it comes from. A tyrannical Senator who has been responsible for tons of educational reform bent to extend the demise of our nation. I will not give him more credit than he is due. You have read from several anti CCSS Warriors of his reign of educational crimes. You have seen him pound his fists on podiums in D.C. demanding this and that in the name of education. You have seen him treated like a rock star by the CCSS Machine for ESSA’s passage. ENOUGH!

madscientist

The REAL truth is ESSA was written for a total transformation of education as we know it! Remember the Shakespeare line, ‘The lady doth protest too much, methinks’?! This line from Hamlet, serves the modern situation well. She was overreacting because she was being threatened and was afraid her real feelings would be exposed.

Transfer this analogy to education. Apply that same panic-filled feeling of ‘Oh crap, my real reason for ESSA will be found out if I don’t act like a tyrant to insure its TOTAL and PURPOSED Plan’! The conceit of  ‘if you can’t do it my way, I’ll make it happen!’ The immaturity to use Congress and his position to weld power like some little boy bullying everyone. Why isn’t he being stopped?! Not sure what I am ‘venting’ about? See the recent press release from the HELP (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions) Committeehttp://www.help.senate.gov/chair/newsroom/press/chairman-alexander-already-disturbing-evidence-that-education-department-is-ignoring-the-new-law

Some vital points about this press release:
1) The same man who plotted, planned, and help write ESSA, heads the very committee which is to guide the implementation! (Can anyone say ‘conflict of interest’ or ‘clouded vision’?)

2) The organizations Alexander refers to are ALL CCSS Machine members! (Can anyone say ‘subjective evidence’?)

3) The lie of ESSA fixing NCLB, No Child Left Behind?! (Can anyone refer the man to the document itself where it embeds both the ESEA(Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965) AND the NCLB, along with the CCSS Initiative?!) I guess the lie will go unnoticed. Why? So many of the CCSS Machine member organizations and people are churning out webinars, white papers, videos messages with the same fallacy. Which leads me to the phrase in the press release about ‘supplement not supplant’. I first heard that exact phrase listened to the National Association of Secondary School Principals in their recent webinar expressing all the benefits of ESSA and how great it is! If you missed that article, it was my ‘Principled Leadership’ one. See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/03/28/principled-leadership-in-the-essa-era/

4) As far as the goat rope mess Title One funding will be, I believe Alexander is crying ‘wolf’ one too many times. He knows exactly how the funding will be abused to make ESSA law of the land.

Closing:

It is good to be back in full swing. It is good to know I continue to have such wonderful support in the team we Warriors have become.
We have the truth about ESSA, the CCSS Machine, and all that interconnects them. We MUST speak louder than the fallacies being told, sold, and thrown.
