Warriors, what price do you think the CCSS Machine has put on our nation? It has to be an astronomical amount. I mean to continue to bend over backwards to ensure ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) carries on the mission of the CCSS Machine, no expense is too little. No lie is too small. The agenda is globally encompassing.
Last evening, the US PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education), joined anti CCSS Warrior forceswith PJNET (Patriot Journalists Network) and spread (via Twitter) the clear, concise, and TRUTHFUL messages about ESSA, specifically about the current Proposed Regulations and the vast amount of power Sec. Dr. King will use…at our expense.
Was the social media protest from last night successful? Yes! Volunteers from all over created special images depicting our dissent, distrust, and anger over ESSA, Sec. Dr. King, and the Proposed Regulations. The evening was SO successful that Warriors are STILL re-tweeting these truths! Why? Because each one of the protest tweets goes directly to the U.S. Dept. of Education! What is the cost of this success? Hours upon hours were poured into the Rally. That’s the great thing about grass-roots groups, their passions are deep, their dedication to truth is priceless. For all the big bucks the CCSS Machine is spending, it can’t match our Warrior spirits!
For number crunchers, just over 5, 700 tweets of protest were delivered to the U.S. Dept. of Ed on Monday evening. Today, there are about 940 protest tweets being sent.
We can do more! We need to flood the U.S. Dept. of Ed with truth!
We have from now until 8/1/16 to publicly dissent. The Twitter Action page put together by PJNET is still up and running. So use it, if you can. You can also create your own messages to send to the US Dept. of Ed. The tweets and images PJNET is using are the ones the volunteers in (or associated) with US PIE created just for this event.
IF you don’t use Twitter, use other social media to help spread a message of public outcry over these Regulations. The U.S. Dept. of Ed also has a link to the Federal Registry for public outcries to be sent to. The Federal Registry is a great body of evidence and testimony we should use (it is free) for our cause of ending the reign of educational abuse at the hands of the Feds in America!
I would suggest you skip the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s view of the Proposed Regulations. You know they will wax eloquent (and confusing) about just what these implementation rules for ESSA do. The Regulations span 192 pages.
It will cost you little to read these AND then make your comments public in the ways you think will be the MOST effective. (As for myself, I am using any social media I have access to and the Federal Registry.)
It is important to note that Congress is on recess. As such, contacting them with your comments (which we should do) may not receive much feedback. However, what we need to point out is something Dr. Sandra Stotsky and I have in common. We have discussed it in a private email exchange.
Who (or what group) wrote the Proposed Regulations? Why does it matter? If the U.S. Dept. of Ed DIDN’T write them, they cannot and should not be used. They are illegal!
This, my Warriors, IS a matter your Congress members should address. To be the most effective with this, I truly believe we need to wait until Congress is back in session. An inquiry, at the very least, should be conducted. Does that mean we shouldn’t have conversations about this matter between now and then? Absolutely not! We should be prudent in our planning, if this is an avenue we Warriors need to take.
Success does include financial costs. If you would like to give a small (or large) donation to either the U.S. PIE group or the PJNET for their hard work, as a ‘thank you’ for the Rally, please do. Both grass-roots organizations receive no funds which are tied to the CCSS Machine. As such, every bit helps our anti CCSS cause tremendously.

Hello, my fellow Anti CCSS Warriors! Most of us know how toxic the Every Student Succeeds Act(ESSA) is. Some of us are aware of the currently-open-for-public-commentsESSA Proposed Regulations which are EVEN more toxic to State-led education. How? In a couple of words: power grab.
That’s right, a U.S. Dept. of Education power grab. Most importantly at the hands of the Secretary Dr. John King. However, I want to point out a few items:
1) While the regulations do give Dr. King more power, it is a purposed plan that has been in the works for years. Helping lead that plan is none other than Sen. Lamar Alexander. By now, you have probably seen his infamous late 80s speech where he laid out the whole ‘birth to grave’ education plan. So, know this: every time you hear Alexander bemoan how Dr. King is disregarding the way the ESSA was written, he’s not being honest. Alexander knows EXACTLY how and why the ESSA was written like it is..to give the illusion of State-led education. King’s Proposed Regulations are merely one of the means to an end.
2) Both Republicans AND Democrats in Congress are responsible for passing ESSA as it is written. Remember that at election time. While some are focusing on the Presidential race, we, as Warriors must keep in mind that OURCongress members are up for elections, too. As are the Governors and other State leaders. As we Warriors know, many of these from D.C. to downtown are part of the CCSS Machine already.
Each of these levels of political power stands between us and a truly free (and Constitutionally honoring) state-led educational system free from the CCSS Machine.
3) The Proposed Regulations are NOT the way to have state-led-CCSS-Machine-free education. Quite the polar opposite. The Regulations AND ESSA in its entirety give us MORE CCSS Machine led education from the federal level.
How do I know this? Reading the ESSA in its entirety as well as the Regulations. What follows is the fruit of what has been uncovered.

In the past, I have shared with you how we have worked together to bring attention to the ESSA’s passage, Dr. King’s nomination and confirmation, and now, those ESSA Proposed Regulations. Those of us in leadership, the advisory council, State Chapter Presidents, and parents have one main goal: the abolishing of the U.S. Dept. of Education, thereby ending the main source of federally led education.

That Special, ‘Fruit Bearing’ Project:
Over the past couple of months, you may remember me stating that I was working on a special project. Well, now I can reveal what a small working group of us involved in US PIE have been up to. We have undertaken reading all 192 pages of the ESSA Proposed Regulations. It has not been easy. It has taken many hours. We are not the first group to pour over the Regulations, however, we didn’t stop at the Regulations the U.S. Dept. of Ed wanted the most public input on, we meticulously looked at all the others. As Warriors, we know when any part of the CCSSMachine points us in one direction, they are up to all kinds of craftiness where we aren’t looking.
Here a few facts to get out of the way before I share with you our ‘tasty fruit’: 1) The Regulations are supposedly suggestions the U.S. Dept. of Ed is making to carve out how ESSA will look in our backyards. (heavily influenced by the CCSS Machine)
2) The Regulations do not state who authored them, but in most footnotes you can see CCSS Machine member organizations as cited sources for certain portions.
3) If the ESSA is to be truly State-led, why did the federal U.S. Dept. of Ed make enough rules, regulations, and strings to create a 192 page document?
4) While some Regulations increase King’s power, there are some which rubber stamp ESSA’s original language (which is now the law).
5) The U.S. Dept. of Ed asked the public to comment no later than Aug. 1, 2016. The 4 Regulations we, as the general public, are to focus on: 1) identifying consistent underperformers; 2) stopping the low turn out during assessment periods; 3) long-term ELL goals; and 4) Title One updates.
Warriors, what our team found is truly disgusting. We found items that as far as we know, no other group reporting on the Regulations have shared.
The Regulations include Dr. King’s creation of a new national educational research facility especially for gifted and talented learners. He will be in charge of selecting staff, organizing the facility, etc.
The Regulations include where Dr. King is to define for the States what certain educational (or supporting education) programs are to look like, what resources they are to use, etc.
We have created a 4 page Talking Points document to help guide the Anti CCSS/ESSA Warriors to the other disgusting truths we uncovered. It is imperative we use the resource to help point to those we have contact with about what TRULY is in the works for American education. Greetings, Anti CCSS Warriors! Anti Fed Led Ed Warriors! As we saw and heard yesterday, we have much work to do. While the CCSS Machine continues its course on grinding down our nation, we know the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) will indeed play a massive part in the process. We know that the upcoming re-authorization of the HEA (Higher Education Act) will also play an equally massive part.
While the U.S. Senate listened to the citizens (or didn’t listen), our first action is to ensure their return to the Senate after the November 2016 races DOES NOT happen. Why? Look at those who voted to usher Dr. King in as the next Secretary of Education. Most are career politicians! If they aren’t career members, they are folks who have sold out to the Status Quo for education. Let us join together to make sure their Status Quo stance is no longer acceptable! A huge thanks to every Warrior who voiced their dissent publicly via the #StopJohnKing Action Page. We have a big hat tip for the U.S. PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education) and the PJNET (Patriot Journalists Network). Both these groups joined forces to create the campaign. Thousands of messages were sent to the U.S. Senate! We were successful in this campaign on several levels. 1) We influenced 6 members of the U.S. HELP Committee to change their first vote of confidence for Dr. King to a ‘no’ vote at the second meeting. 2) Several Senators have voiced big concerns and think Dr. King is the wrong man for job. This means they are listening! 3) Public records will now reflect our voices and will be superior evidence. When Senators seek our votes, we can use our evidence to hold them accountable!!
A big thanks, to you my blog followers for being patient with me as I put aside the blog long enough to help lead the #StopJohnKing efforts. Trust me, as big, deep, and wide as the CCSS Machine is, there will still be plenty to research and write about.

It has been a couple of weeks since I last wrote a blog entry, but I’ve been anything but idle. January 2016 finds me gearing up for some exciting speaking engagements where I’ll be honored to share with others just how deeply committed to all things Common Core, our nation is. I know you’ve been kept updated by others while I was away about the over reaching evidence of the ‘fed led ed’ via the S1177 (Every Student Succeeds Act). You’ve been updated on even more evidence about just how snookered our legislators have been when it comes to ‘more state’s control in education’.
2016 will prove to be a big year for all of us as we know important elections will take place. From local school board elections, to the White House, we, the opposed to a strait-jacketed education, have MUCH to do!
As I shared with you in my last couple of 2015 posts, you can except to see me continue my mission of supplying you with information the PRO Common Core side wishes I didn’t have. You can bet I’ll be looking into MORE of the post-secondary push for a strait jacketed set of CCSS/CCR/CTE/GR (Common Core State Standards/College and Career Ready Standards/Career Technical Education Standards/ Global Ready Standards) standards that our 50 states have already invested heavily in and will continue to build a bridge to streamline pre-K to graduate schools and the job market! We’ve known for a while that CCSS (Common Core State Standards) is being recycled and repacked as not only some of the ‘alphabet soup’ acronyms you see above, but MORE! I’ll be sharing all I have on every stinking one of them, as I can.
While I was away, I also noticed lots of ire over the Exxon-Mobil statement about CCSS (Common Core State Standards). Anti CC Warriors, please remember, they are certainly not the only corporation to issue a pro-statement or make advertisements to support more state by state alignment. If you’ve not see the Business Rountable’s list of pro CCSS/CCR (Common Core State Standards/College and Career Ready) supporters, I urge you to do so. Don’t forget the re-authorization of the HEA (Higher Education Act) will more than likely be in the news very soon. As you’ve heard me state before, this is the LAST link in the chain of alignment for American education. This is the biggest threat to ALL educational choices, regardless of where pre-K through High School was spent. As you know, I’ve devoted several articles to exposing these truths time and time again.
While the dust is still settling over the S1177, know that the HELP committee (the U.S. Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions) and the Education and Workforce Committee (the U.S. House of Representative’s) are working overtime to continue what S1177 laid out for education. Many of our legislators abandoned our anti CCSS stance with their votes to pass S1177, many will be poised to the same in higher education. Just watch their press releases.
Why higher education? It leads to jobs, jobs lead to money, and states need money for businesses.
Businesses have done a bang up job skewing the ‘skills gap’ fallacy and those in the CCSS Machine, short for Common Core State Standards Machine (as I can it), have fed this fallacy far too long. Why? Buried in the S1177 are passages where businesses will be MORE involved in education and what is taught. The goal in education: simply this, the earlier the job skills training implanted in education, the more Suzy or Johnny will graduate whatever level of education totally prepared for the job market.

Anti CCSS Warriors, our time is upon us! In spite of all that we’ve uncovered that is WRONG with the illegally based education reform; where Common Core is the conductor; we are seeing our federal level officials board the fast tracking train to educational ruin! The train’s name? “Every Student Succeeds Act”, or in other words, it is the re-authorization of the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act).
The CCSS Machine, as I call it, has loaded this train with all kinds of luggage (fallacies, media spins that purport the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) will restore the states authority, lessen the role of federal overreach, and other such fodder).
In spite of how full of coal this train is, we have seen proof provided by anti CCSS Warriorswhich has proven the derailment we are headed for is not only massive, but will alter American life as we know it. Do the passengers aboard this train (the federal level officials) seem to notice? Do they appear to care? From the news we have been hearing since just before Thanksgiving, those on board seem to be suffering from tunnel vision, loss of hearing the citizens (or the truth) How do I know this? The ‘fuel’ for this bill is the language, fellow Warriors. As we have learned by now the CCSS Machine thrives on double speak. They use one term which sounds like it is a great move for education, but when the real truth is uncovered, it is anything but ‘great’! For example, in the language featured on the TAE website, the title “21st Century Schools” can be seen. Warriors Against Common Core, how many times have you read the documented proof of what those 21st Century Schools are doing to our students?! I have shared with you MANY articles with evidence of how these are CCSS wolves in sheep’s clothing! Yet, the fast tracking train has them on board!!

Women on the Wall has challenged us to record a short video message to Congress! PJNET has set up Twitter rallies for 11/29 and 11/30! Why? The vote is set to be as early as 12/2/15!! Many of the anti CCSS Warriors behind these battle cries have urged for a NO vote to the ESSA. Why? As we have seen with other mammoth sized, rushed bills from D.C., time needs to be taken, vetting needs to happen to the language, and many other legal moves. Why rush the train of education reform? There is everything to lose, America!!

Anti CCSS Warriors, you’ve read the stories, culled the Congressional Reports. You know this ‘War Against Common Core’ is NOT over yet. However, today, we’ll take a look at the 17 who stood strong in the Senate against not only their peers, but the CCSS Machine. I’d like to preface my article, I am NOT endorsing any political candidate publicly. My focus isn’t on the campaigns of any of the 17 Senators. Are these 17 tied to Common Core in any way? Let’s find out. The Nay Sayers:
While each of the following said ‘no’ July 16th, will they remain nay sayers? We’ll need to continue to hold them accountable. Especially when you discover more about their education stances. Blunt: MO, voted ‘no’ to S1177, As a member of the Appropriations Committee, Sen. Blunt gets to help decide where our taxpayer’s money is spent. One such benefactor? The U.S. Dept. of Education. See: http://www.blunt.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/committee-assignments I didn’t find a press release following his ‘no’ to ECAA on his website. However, I did find that his stance on job growth may be of concern, therefore watching how he continues to vote where education is concerned. See: http://www.blunt.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/grow-jobs-and-opportunity Note the phrase ‘shovel ready’ and Missouri’s community colleges. As we’ve discovered, community colleges are entrapped in the CCSS/CTE pipeline for education. Booker’s involvement in a trained workforce is worthy of not only our concern, but our voice. Sen. Booker has teamed up with Sen. Scott (see below) in LEAP, Leveraging and Energizing America’s Apprenticeship Program Act. Why would a CCSS Warrior need to be concerned? I’ve published a detailed article previously detailing how the Apprenticeship program in America is CCSS, CTE aligned.

Anti CC Warriors, I’m curious, do Congress members receive a ‘Know your Constitution’ exam before being sworn in? If not, maybe they should. As per our 10th Amendment, there is to be NO federal role in education. See Sen. Cruz’s vote was consistent with his education stance as an opposer of CCSS. His statement following that vote said ECAA missed the mark. As you’ll see with some of the other Senators, Cruz serves of the Joint Economic Committee and others. Commerce is among them. Knowing how big business has its hands all over education, I’m sure we’ll need to watch to see how this is handled. Daines: MT, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His amendment, SAFE Kids, is said to protect student data privacy, however, in looking at the website detailing this amendment, several CCSS Machine members are supportive. This should be a huge concern to us, as opposed to Common Core! Why? As I’ve shared with you before, many overseeing charter schools are part of the CCSS Machine. Early learning alignment? No! Absolutely not! Moran: KS, voted ‘no’ to S1177, A fan of CTE (career and technical education) is a big cause of concern for those of us opposed to the CCSS Machine. We now very well by now, that CTE is in every state of the United States, no matter if your state ‘adopted’ CCSS or not.

There are other statements in his education view point which are concerning to us as anti CCSS Warriors. For example, the states and accountability facing us in a re-authorized ESEA. Murphy is a member of hte HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor, and Pension). See: http://www.murphy.senate.gov/issues/education Paul: KY, voted ‘no’ to S1177, Which directly supports his stance on education view point. His website has a well explained statement to detail his stance. HELP was key in S1177’s existence. Risch: ID, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His statement on education is brief, but to the anti CC Warrior, says a lot. For example, his stance on the role of the federal government in education is one of concern. How so? He believes the federal government should have a role in education. Warriors, does no one remember that federal government, per the U.S. Constitution, shouldn’t have ANY role in education?! His blog has no entry for 7/16/15, either. However, I did find he serves on several committees that are directly related to education (technology, for example). His bio page on his website can serve as alert to his stance on higher education (as in making it affordable). Then, there’s the concern for the ‘global economy’. Why are these areas to hold him accountable? Sen. Alexander’s statement concerning the Higher Education Act was next on his list is a great reason. Add to that the push from the CCSS Machine where digital this and that are on a hyper speed effort to impact technology. His website does not share any education view points that I can find. However, he does serve on the U.S. Joint Economic Committee. Since the CCSS Machine has a huge goal for the economic status of the U.S. A., I’d say we most definitely need to find out more about Sen Sasse’s view of education. Scott’s been key to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 and other ‘opportunities’ for aligned education and labor. WIOA embedded CCSS aligned Career Pathways at least 21 times. Combine that with his stance that states are choosing CCSS, is a cause, in my opinion, to continue to watch him. See: http://www.shelby.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/legislativeissues?p=Education Vitter: LA, voted ‘no’ to S1177, due to his stance against CCSS, assessments, privacy violatons (see his education stance on his website page: http://www.vitter.senate.gov/issues/education However, he supports school choice and charter schools (which CCSS is using both of these to distort education) and is supportive of 21st Century job preparation for students. Warren: MA, voted ‘no’ to S1177, due to dissatisfaction over the funding for schools.See Her statement on her website, http://www.warren.senate.gov/?p=committees(scroll down, look to the right) She’s also friendly towards post secondary alignment efforts. She’s a member of the HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions). HELP has been extremely involved in re-writing ESEA.
Actions We Should Take:
1) Continue to watch Congress for how voting goes.
2) Continue to interact with Congress where HR5, S1177, child care, preK, post-secondary are concerned. EVERY educational level and choice will be impacted by what happens in D.C. concerning the re-authorization of the ESEA.
3) Look, not only at the Congress members’ stances on education, but look at workforce, public-private partnerships, etc. Remember, economy and a trained workforce are 2 of the main CCSS agenda points. NO Congress member should support a CCSS/CTE aligned America. It’s unconstitutional! It’s unAmerican! It violates the oath each Congress member swore to uphold!
4) Thank these 17 Senators for standing with we, the anti CCSS Warriors! Remind them we are watching.

Anti CCSS Warriors! Time is our friend today. We’ve still got some hours let to contact Congress before the Senate picks up where it left off on Thursday with the ‘Every Child Achieves Act’. We’ve known it’s a war, but the punches pulled this weekend to try to deter us from the pro CCSS side have been many. However, our powerful messages have also been seen, felt, and heard. With so much at stake, neither side is willing to back down. We must stand firm!

Why am I bringing their side up? Some of our most effective information tactics can be found in the rhetoric from their propaganda. How? Think about it, most everything the pro CC side has dished up to us for a long time now, has sounded like it’s all from the same person…no matter how many different supporters you find. The truth, however, has much power! Yes, it needs to be repeated, but since it is the truth, it won’t sound like a worn out recording. So, that said, let’s look at the biggest ‘info’ barrage messages the pro side gave us during the past few days:
1) From the Education and Workforce Committee’s Twitter page, comes this supportive message for more ‘Core’:
Rep. Mike Bishop shared the above and called it ‘one step closer to fixing NCLB’. Rep. Bishop is from Michigan.
How, we, the anti CCSS Warriors can use this? As a visual, show how inaccurate this is! As a verbal or written message? Think about how if House members are calling HR5 ‘one step closer’, know the Senate’s mindset is the same. Knowing that you can express how Every Child Achieves is, in fact, not one step closer to fixing anything in education!
2) From the Sec. of Education, July 7th’s message to the world:
How, we, the Anti CCSS Warriors can use this one, is simply this. Use all the facts we have to show where the inequalities of a CCSS education are!

How, we, the Anti CCSS warrior can use this to ‘fire ire to D.C.’ over the ECAA?
Well, for starters, know that there’s more to the story.
Back in May 2015, I published an article that surrounded Sen. Tester’s amendment about assessments and how NPE was backing it. This is important NOW, so take a few minutes are read it. I want to you to connect the dots on your own.

c) The ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education) has a priority list out for any federal legislation (HR5, Student Success Act; ECAA, Every Child Achieves Act; HEA, Higher Education Act; and the CPA, College Promise Act). Those priorities? Embed CTE in every one of these so that America would be: “Ensuring all students have access to high-quality CTE programs in high schools and post-secondary institutions o building a strong system of CTE around the country, which should begin early in a student’s education with career awareness and broad knowledge and then build pathways to more specific career-readiness skills through connections among secondary and postsecondary education and the labor market. To support the notion of a strong system of CTE around the country and access for all, ensure that the Perkins Act remain primarily a formula grant designed to support all CTE programs that are willing to make a commitment to high levels of quality and continuous program improvement.” (*NOTE: this priority list was not released this weekend, it’s been out for a while. I’ve shared all the above, so that we can see just how deceptive the pro CCSS side has been. If we are resisting Common Core and its Machine, we MUST know exactly where those who are supporting it stand. We’ve known they will stoop to all levels of deceiving us. However, we must press on. We have the truth! We must protect our students, teachers, and families!
Our purpose this weekend is clear: influence the Senate with as MUCH truth about the illegally based CC Standards; the inappropriate education continued in ECAA and all related bills; and how, we, the citizens will NOT STAND FOR THIS!
Anti CC Warriors, as you probably have seen and heard by now, we’ve been given a super opportunity this weekend! What’s that? The opportunity to storm D.C. with as many ‘truth nuggets’ about Common Core and all its overreaching components! We’re not done yet, so don’t put down your computers. We’ve got 3 more days before the Senate meets again. Yes, call, email, text, or tweet today (Saturday), Sunday, and Monday. When the Senate adjourned Thursday evening, it was stated they’d meet again 3 pm, July 13th.

This group has put together a brilliant campaign to help storm D.C., Warrior Style! Many of us, myself included, have used it over the past months, weeks, and days. I’ve had a personal conversation with one of the founders and the plan is simple. Use #PJENT/#STOPCOMMONCORE/#STOPECAA when you tweet anything.For example, if you’re creating your own messages to send to D.C. simply add those 3 handles.
Let’s say you don’t have that much time to create your own message. PJNET’s covered that base as well. As the person I spoke with stated, if 10 anti CCSS warriors tweet all 100 Senators (takes about 5 minutes), then that’s 1, 000 tweets. Now, we know we know at least 10 folks fighting to END Common Core, correct? Then challenge them to join in, if they haven’t! If you’ve got a friend and they think they don’t want CCSS, but aren’t sure, an activity like this, may be the final straw of truth to break the CCSS Machine’s lying backside!
Remember, we 3 days to post, share, and express as much outrage as possible to send the overall message that American citizens HATE the CCSS Machine!

While ‘local control’ is being said to be handed back to the States, it really isn’t.
