The Con Jobs Live On?

To all my Anti-Fed Ed Warriors, I hope you saw the news a few days ago that the U.S. Secretary of Ed and the U.S. Secretary of Labor held a joint press conference about skill-based education. While each of the leaders I mention were either elected, or put into office at the hands of those elected, I am not stating for a fact they are ‘con artists’. I am pointing to their ‘con artist-like’ actions.

As we know, Warriors, actions (in education) ‘speak’ a lot louder than the (CCSS Machine) propaganda these DC leaders speak.

A Host of Con Artist Actions:

If you missed the glamour and glitz of the duo dead set on helping uphold the D.C. top-down alignment of our education system to a workforce breeding ground, you missed DeVos’s priceless statement that not only is higher education in need of skill-based reform, but our K-12th education is, too.

Of course, a few days before the DeVos/Acosta ‘side show’ and the DeVos/Acosta/Trump photo opportunity (seen above), was the Pence/DeVos meeting (it was closed to the Press) about workforce based education, too.

Warriors, if this were the first time we’d seen Pence tout workforce aligned education, we might be shocked, but it’s far from his first time. If we’d seen DeVos’s opposition to aligning education to the economic needs, we might be cheering, but that’s not the case at all. As far as our President, he’s not listened to the Moms, Dads, grandparents, teachers, and, taxpayers when we’ve shared how toxic the overreach of labor into education has proven. No, he’s used every opportunity to listen to the G20, the UN, and other connecting organizations about workforce based education. If you missed the President’s June 2017 Press Release about leading the workforce development (aka: workforce education) shift, access that here.

Likewise, Warriors, if this were the first D.C. level administration hell-bent on extending the globally led shift in education which divorces itself from academics to skill-based jobs, we could raise the roof with outrage. But, this ISN’T the first administraion to do so. When Obama/Biden were at the helm of America, we saw Common Core become law. We saw it’s ‘cousin’, Career Tech Ed (which, by the way still exists in the Every Student Succeeds Act, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, STEM Act, Higher Education Act, and every law connected to each of these), become the ‘special project’ assigned to Vice President Biden. Which, he carried out with glee..and some key labor unions. 

In fact, Warriors, my fellow blogger, researcher, and anti Fed Ed Warrior, Dr. Young, has given us an article showing how far back the D.C. administrations date to force a shift in education.

Warriors, if you do not see the direct connection from Workforce Development to education, please find that research here. You can find the U.S. Dept. of Education’s document where the WIOA related education shift items are laid out via State Plans to help you make the connections. This document pre-dates the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) passage into law, but ESSA’s language embeds every bit of the shift.

Warriors, think about this, if we, the People, conducted every day business in these  con artist-like ways, we’d be charged with crimes and thrown in jail. Yet, these leaders walk and operate freely…all on our taxpayer dimes.

Stopping the Con Artist Actions:

Warriors, is it REALLY possible to halt these D.C. Con leaders and the related CCSS Machine?! Yes, I believe it is. How? Existing laws which ARE Constitutionally binding. If you missed my fellow writer and anti Fed Ed Warrior, Alex Newman’s article last week, you may not know about the anti ESSA national campaign where just this type of action is being planned! If you read Alex’s article, you’ll see that I was honored to be quoted in it.

Warriors, we know our War Vs the Core is hardly about promoting ourselves. Oh no, far from it. Our War is about 1) protecting our students/children, 2) preserving freedom, 3) halting Un-American agendas in education, 4) honoring our Constitution where we’re clearly told the federal government has NO place in education, and 5) giving teachers the opportunity to conduct their profession without corporate driven undermining.

This War is NOT about us: it’s about our Nation, it’s about our future as a free people. It’s about doing what’s right. Something, it appears, our con artist leadership has cast aside.

Update on “Of Late”

When I wrote “Of Late”, I knew there were several key pieces of evidence to present and somehow tie together. 

Almost immediately after the article hit the social media circuit, I got at least 2 other leads from fellow Warriors, making EVEN more connections to the subject matter in “Of Late”. If you missed that topic, it was all about the how our current U. S. Congress is bowing MORE to a global vent for workforce based education for all ages and all educational choices.

What follows is to be used as tools for every anti Fed Ed Warrior out there. Yes, it’s in-depth. But, it needs to be.

Where I Left Off:

Warriors, I left you with the confirmed evidence that American education is being used as a tool against us for the purpose of reshaping our nation. To continue that re-shaping, look to North Dakota, first.

Heading West:

My fellow Warrior from “The Roughrider State”, noticed that some of the items I shared seemed a bit TOO familiar. She then referred me to Gov. Burgum’s recent Innovation in Education Summit. She laid out some quick facts about the ties some of those presenting ‘expert’ evidence have to the CCSS Machine. She heavily questions how well these people represent the values of the North Dakotians.

I  found Dintersmith involved in another education reform area (which was also another tip from my ND friend). That is the “Most Likely to Succeed” documentary. This was filmed back in 2015 and was considered a hit by the Sundance Film Festival. What the documentary shows is chilling, Warriors. Below is the just over 2 minute trailer. Notice the key CCSS Machine members (Robinson is tied to Pearson, Khan is tied to the Khan Academy and received Gates Foundation funding to switch to CCSS, Common Core State Standards.)

Warriors, I haven’t forgotten Dintersmith’s assignment by former President Obama (in the brief bio description above) to the UN. Neither should you.

Time and time again, I’ve shown you fact based research on how the former leader and his administration bent over backwards to help continue the cycle of ‘dumbing down’ American education.
There was the PCAST Report from 2010 where STEM was ushered in as a disguise for the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), thanks to the NSF (National Science Foundation) and many other CCSS groups. There was also ‘innovation’ after ‘innovation’ initiative or some digital push to be foisted on our teachers and students.

Thanks to ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), those ‘innovation’ and digital overhauls are 100% certain. Has our current President slowed any of this down? Hardly.

Mr. Trump has, in fact, seemingly turned a deaf ear to the CCSS Machine’s technology de facto moves.

Warriors, remember, Dintersmith is a business man, not an educator. The fact sheet for the same White House Report reveals not only a big STEM push, but CTE (Career Tech Education) push, too. Both STEM and CTE are tied up in CCSS, apprenticeships, and the global education scheme of the United Nations.

Part of the ‘retooling’? “Academic interships”..a fancy name for ‘Apprenticeships’!! If you’ll remember, Warriors, most of the “Of Late” article spells out for us the global ties to apprenticeships, higher education, and more. To see School ReTool’s Academic Internship plot, visit here.

Warriors, since most of the apprenticeships and internships are targeting our high schoolers in an attempt to groom them for higher education, we know to be watching the post-secondary reform like a hawk. You also know, I have been helping you do just that for years. EdWeek has an article, published earlier this week which reveals some valid points (even for a pro CCSS/ESSA source).

Point #1: Since the U.S. Secretary DeVos has been in office, she’s tackled much more higher education reform than K-12th grades.
Point #2: There’s a ton more federal control on colleges, community colleges, proprietary (for profit) schools, and all the early college, skill prep programs to unite K-12th to post-secondary education.

Innovation Kills:

Warriors, much of the conversation about all this alignment, reform, and increased innovation leaves out the bare faced fact that innovation actually stunts our minds.
How? Too much of anything is bad for us. As the push to unite the USA to a global education continues; technology and innovation/infrastructure for such will continue to envelope us. 

Released in 2016, is the short You Tube film which depicts a father and child. Conformity to a work/school system is the topic. According to the resource I found highlighting this film, the tone of the writer is that we must change society to join work and education.
Exactly the message we are hearing from the UN, Congress, and our Administration in Washington, D.C. 

The writer stresses that is it our current mindset toward work and school which is killing our student’s minds. In the fact-based research and evidence, it is the CCSS Machine grasp on education which is doing the stunting. NOT parents, not our environment.

I was able to find that one of the producers of “Alike” (Daniel M. Lara) is tied to the Blender Foundation and their 2016 Conference, where he was a featured speaker. Blender Conferences have been an annual event for a while now. Blender’s focus? Arts, technology, animation, and all related subjects. I also found that the Blender Foundation was cited as a resource (page 86) in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) publication from 2015 for IGI Global for use in America. This Google Book is a goldmine of education reform. Chapter 83 is all about embedding pedagogy into NGSS (Next Gen Science Standards), you’ll see how innovation is to be used to target those ‘less academic’ than their peers, you’ll find out STEM is being unleashed on our babies, how ‘blended learning’ and PBLs (Problem Based Learning) is to shift education’s responsibility from teacher to student as a force tactic, future trends for K-20 education (kindergarten to 4 year college degree or similar), service based education (as in grooming the ‘collective, global citizens’), computer games as science teachers, multi-pronged distance education, how the Europeans are educating in these ways, open source lectures (coding classes will tie in here), and, more. (*Note in the beginning pages the number of American Universities.)

Interestingly enough, Betsy DeVos and Ivanka Trump just promoted more girls to STEM in the Smithsonian Museum, 7/25/17. They teamed up back in March 2017 to do much the same. (*Note: Not so funny, one of the UN’s SDGs is promoting women in education, especially STEM.)

Warriors, as you know I’ve shared with you how sold out to the CCSS Machine, NC is. Living here has given me the opportunity to show you things to watch for. Look below. One of the NC legislators is bragging on how ‘we’ will be the first in the nation for state-wide classroom internet access. Remember, ESSA’s mandates in technology include such. Way to align, NC.

Access the “Economist” article and you’ll literally read the beginning words with the name of B.F. Skinner, quickly followed by Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerburg.

Who’s Watching?

Warriors, It’s becoming increasingly clear that the leaders in D.C. have gone as far away from the protections of our U.S. Constitution as humanly possible.
HR1313 is in the news right now, but what about BEFORE HR1313? What is HR1313?
(*Note: While I am not the first person to write about HR1313, I will be the first one to come at it from an anti CCSS viewpoint.)

Our Task:

From the title of this article (and hopefully the featured picture), you know this will be about data mining. But, my fellow Warriors, it will go beyond ‘just’ data mining…down to our very DNA. Our task, Warriors, is simply this: learn all we can from the researched facts and share it.

The Force Behind the Bill:

The Bill, HR1313, is known as “Preserving Employee Wellness Programs Act”. It’s sponsor is ‘our’ sold-out CCSS Machine member, Rep. Foxx from NC. Mrs. Foxx is the lead Chair of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Education and Workforce Committee. While Mrs. Foxx has claimed she isn’t a fan of CCSS, she sure does love its ‘alter ego’, CTE (Career Tech Education). While she’s claimed to not be a fan of the U.S. Dept. of Education, she sure doesn’t appear to have a problem with accessing their shared data.

Foxx, in case you didn’t know it, was key in helping get the 2014 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to become a federal law. Since CTE  is woven into WIOA at least 21 different times it’s easy to see WHY she has been quoted as saying ‘All education is Career Tech Education.’ 

(*Note: In researching WIOA, I found an alternative phrase used in the place of ‘Career Tech Education’; CP or ‘Career Pathways’.)

If you access the highlighted key’, or ‘all education…’ above, you’ll also learn that Foxx is a fan of ESSA. Needless to say, she ignored every single bit of voter/anti CCSS or anti Fed Ed contact urging her to vote ‘no’ on ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act).

What’s So Damning About HR1313?

First, Foxx’s ties to the CCSS Machine.
Second, the data mining will extend from the U.S. Dept. of Labor to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Treasury.  What federal agencies AREN’T mentioned should be on our radars. They also share data with agencies mentioned. An example would be the data which flows freely between the HHR/Labor/Education. But, does the data pass between the Dept. of Ed and the Treasury? Look below:

We Need To Stay Diligent:

Another thing that should be on our anti Fed Ed Watch is the fact that the LADDER Act would create a NEW National Workforce Council where each of the federal agencies (picture below) would have more access to your data.
(*Note, they can access it now, but the Council would have even greater access.)

While HR1313 is geared towards those with jobs, we need to remember with the CCSS Machine’s shift TO a work-based education, it is all about the jobs and the economy, NOT education! So combine HR1313 with the Ladder Act and the control/data mining will increase at an insane rate!

More Troubles With HR1313:

The most troubling about HR1313, is the biometrics it will use. On Pages 1 and 2 of the Bill,  you’ll see the words ‘assessment’ and ‘biometrics’.

Warriors, I am not the biometrics expert on education. However, I find a connection to education via ‘biobanking’.  Microsoft’s data collection is linked to the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics uses ‘biobanking’. So does the Dept. of Health and Human Services through their sub-agency, the NIH (National Institutes of Health ). If you aren’t sure what ‘biobanking’ is, here is the definition from my previous article, “What is ‘biobanking’? It refers to banks where human tissue samples, their DNA, and other such personal items are stored.”

According to this 2011 Biometrics Research Paper, the technology behind invading our privacy will increase, become more important, and..impossible to lose.

While HR1313 is targeting adults, let’s not forget that the CCSS Machine is a ‘seamless transistion’ intended for cradle to grave. So, what happens at the beginning, happens repeatedly.

What has already happened in data mining for our K-12 students, is happening with our adults. SLDS (Student Longitudinal Data System) and WQDI (Workforce Quality Data Initiative) take care of that. It’s happening with biometrics as well.

If you are concerned about the amount of ‘research’ ESSA will meter out to your student or your family, read this. Be sure to look for the “Brain Initiative”. Since it’s a White House led program Obama started, will Trump extend it?

2) For Our Adults:
a) This 2016 Slate article is jam packed with evidence about the falsehoods of the incentive-driven wellness programs HR1313 wants to mandate. It points out how the government is pushing companies (never a good sign) to use wellness programs to save money, yet the truth appears to be while the healthy workers get a discount, the non-healthy absorb the costs to make up any differences. On paper, everyone wins. In reality, only a select few.
b) “Total Wellness’s” website published this article questioning how legal employer based wellness programs are. (*Note: Be sure to read the comments about real life experiences.)
c)
This 2013 Joint Concensus Journal explains biometrics and the need for them in the workplace. The evidence is based on the following definition, “The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines biometric screening as the measurement of physical characteristics such as height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, blood cholesterol, blood glucose, and aerobic fitness that can be taken at the worksite and used as part of a workplace health assessment to benchmark and evaluate changes in employee health status over time.” (*Note: Refer back to the NIH embedded article to see how the CDC is included in data mining.)
 d) COABE_stratg_broch_v4 From my 2015 article, this document gives the strategy for using research data (includes biometrics) to spread WIOA’s influence in your community. Note that the CCSS Machine member organization, McGraw-Hill underwrote the document.

Other warning signs about HR 1313 include:
Page 3, with its’ ‘Uniformity Across Federal Agencies’ clause.
Page 7, gets into family genetics and personal information your employer can access.
Page 8, ‘earn a reward’. The government’s idea of a bad joke?

Closing:

This last article shares that HR1313 is following political party lines. Rep. Foxx’s party, the Republicans, are ‘winning’ so far. Warriors, as we know the fight to save our students has become a fight to save our citizens. Why? Because, as has been pointed out, it’s no longer about education, it’s all about the jobs.

A Nation Scorned

In the waning days of November 2016, there are many  mixed emotions among us as the Anti CCSS/Fed Ed Warriors.

No doubt you’ve seen days worth of articles both in support of President-elect Trump’s choice for the U.S. Secretary of Education AND opposition of his choice. Most of the Anti CCSS/Fed Ed Warriors have been extremely diligent in bringing forth much needed evidence as to WHY Mrs. DeVos is a TERRIBLE education champion, yet this evidence is ignored by Mr. Trump and his Transition Team.

In the days since the announcement, once again, the suggestion that Bill Evers is the BEST choice for the Secretary of Education has been raised. Others, like myself have suggested Dr. Peg Luksik as superior in choice. Not only has Dr. Peg been an educator in almost every grade level created, she’s written tons of reports, spoken numerous times, been featured as an expert witness as to WHY national standards, school choice, and over assessing ARE BAD for AMERICA. She’s even created a paper for HOW to end the ‘fed-led-ed’!! That can be accessed here: statement-on-education-policy

Warriors, the bottom line: We CAN storm our Congress to deny DeVos as Ed Boss! We raised holy hell when it was Dr. King up for confirmation! Yes, he was still confirmed, but we narrowed the margin of ‘yes’ to ‘no’ votes quite a bit. WE CAN DO IT AGAIN! I’ve seen posts on social media during Thanksgiving urging us to call our Senators. There was a petition started to. (As of this writing, there are only 10 signatures and a goal of 100 signatures.) Put aside the worn out “Make America Great Again” when it comes to education. Education in America can be NO less than ‘SUPERB’. ‘Great’ is a mere shadow of ‘superb’.

IF and only IF the Trump Team wants to end federal overreach in education, then they MUST listen to us, as Warriors, NOT the educrats with fists full of agenda and money. As of yet, I’ve seen no one successful in having the upcoming administration contact any of us who have DAILY contacted them.

Bottom line: We, as Warriors are like David vs. Goliath on steroids. That said we MUST be consistent, in large number, and visible. To win this battle in the War Vs the Core, we have to be seen AND heard!

1) Common Core IS  located in more than traditional K-12 public schools!
2) Common Core has been rebranded so many times, the educrats not only know the buzzwords, they use them against the nation!
3) Common Core IS Career Tech Education! Common Core IS competency based, project based, collaborative efforts which groom students for workforce NOT academics!
4) Common Core IS written into the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), the WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), and is present in the HEA (Higher Education Act). Of these 3, only the HEA remains to be completely re-authorized. It is the LAST nail to be hammered into the ‘seamless transition for birth to career education’ to create ‘a bridge for lifelong learning’!

DeVos as  Digitally Connected?

We all know, as Anti CCSS/Fed Ed Warriors, that the digital transformation in American education is a huge plank in the bridge for workforce aligned, global citizens. As a ‘change agent’ for transformative education, DeVos will have a key position IF she gets the job. However, Trump has stated he wants transformation AND innovation in education.

Warriors, Obama has laid a large digital technology net in his education initiatives! The CCSS Machine has spent billions in creating digital overload. ESSA continues both Obama’s digital overreach as well as the CCSS Machine’s!

Trump’s also been contacted early on by the Center for Education Reform to continue the innovations/digital technology via ‘incentives’. Warriors, ESSA, WIOA, and HEA (in its current form) all embed and continue the data for a workforce based education.

So, how does DeVos possibly fit into this puzzle even more so?
