Author’s Correction on “Bamboozled”, yesterday’s article. In that article and pertaining to ESSA, page 151, I did not clearly state my concerns for teachers and students. I do ask that you forgive that error. My point to the language there is that under the present SEL training teachers are receiving, it is an over-burdening addition to their already  ‘full plate’ of responsibilities. Teachers should be able to note and help point out any learning disability.
At the CCSS Machine’s beckoning, however, it seems that teachers will be asked to do much more than this. As Warriors, this is an area we must watch. Teachers and students need protecting from the harm ESSA is dishing out.

Warriors Against the Core, in the past 2 articles I’ve gone back over ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act). As you know, I combed through it when it was first introduced, as well as re-visited it quite a bit after it became Law. So why now? Since implementation is in swing, we need to see what’s happened. We need to see how much of a lie ‘giving the States back control of education’ is being carried out on a daily basis.

My most recent ESSA reviews have covered the ‘at-risk’, or, troubled youth. Then, special needs. Today’s review? Native Americans. If you missed when I first uncovered the CCSS Machine grasp on the original citizens of our nation, you can go back and read it now.

In that article you’ll see how 21st Century Community Learning Centers, school reform, and much more from ESSA and other federally contrived legislative acts.

ESSA: No Feather of Greatness:

Of all the student subgroups (as ESSA likes to refer to our children by), the Native Americans (including the HI and AK tribal nations) are mentioned a whopping 244 times! The first 16 are in the Table of Contents. Warriors, I do not know about you, but by the sheer number of times our fellow citizens are brought up, I  have to ponder WHY so much attention is being directed their way.

No American group deserves to be more left alone by the federal government.

The ESSA Strings:

With over 200 references to the Indians of America in ESSA, I’m only going to point out the worst ‘strings’ (aka: mandates).
The Sections pertaining to Native American education are: 4505 (Family Engagement in Education); 6001 and 6101 are the ‘conforming amendments’; 6121 (Improving Educational Opportunities); 6141 (National Advisory Council on Indian Education); 7004 (Impact Aid); 8004 and 8103 (BIE schools, see the article embedded in ‘now’, above), and 8535 (must consult with tribal organizations).

Page 19 of ESSA’s law mandates Native Americans must be included in State Plans.
Page 44 shows how the SEAs (State Education Agencies) and LEAs (Local Education Agencies) having control over Native American education.
Below is Page 51:

essa51
On Page 102, what appears to be a simple word being replaced is a ‘front’ for a much deeper agenda:

essa102
Following on Page 103:

essa103
Over on Page 125, you’ll see a ‘blast from the past’ tie Native American education to more government strings:

essa125
Notice the ‘national’ levels of control or funding on Page 143 and what it is to be used for:

essa143

On Page 219, we’ll find family engagement centers:

ess219
Page 222, full service community schools, especially in low-income areas and Native American tribal groups. Not sure what that means? ESSA’s definition: “FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOL.—means a public elementary school or secondary school that— ‘‘(A) participates in a community-based effort to coordinate and integrate educational, developmental, family, health, and other comprehensive services through community-based organizations and public and private partnerships; ‘‘(B) provides access to such services in school to students, families, and the community, such as access during the school year (including before- and after-school hours and weekends), as well as during the summer.”

Warriors, there is plenty more like all this above,  in store for all of us.

Injurious Insults:

From a fellow Warrior in WY, shared with me the day my “Captive Education” article was published, that, U.S. Sec. of Education DeVos visited an Indian Reservation’s school to help jump start her “Rethink Education” tour. It’s quite interesting (and not to mention, telling) that ‘her’ choice of wording smacked of the recently broadcast Project XQ: Super School Live! Where the entire CCSS Machine propaganda fest was geared on ‘rethinking/reforming’ high schools.
It’s ironic that the school on the Reservation didn’t have DeVos’s visit in their school news or on their calendar.

NIEA (National Indian Education Association) is partners with the CCSSO (Council of Chief State School Officers), so any question of what side of the CCSS Machine they are on, is an automatic ‘supportive’. NIEA’s website.

The 2016 (114th Congressional Session) RAISE Act (Reforming American Indian Standards of Education) announcement can be found on the NIEA website. You’ll want to see the Report which accompanied the RAISE Act. In it you’ll see how many students are involved in Native American education, how much money is involved, and also, the ‘federal education’ shift.

Current Congressional bills to reform Native American education are:
HR 1528 (Native American Indian Education Act) will amend the HEA (Higher Education Act) to continue federal mandates for Indians in post-secondary education.
S 660 (Native American Indian Education Act) this is the Senate’s version of the HR 1528.
S 934 (Johnson-O’Malley Act) would data mine students for the sake of ‘modernization’.
S 1294 (Native American Education Opportunity Act) will give education savings accounts to the Native American students.
HR 2727 (NEST Act or Native Educator Support and Training Act) amends the HEA and will give scholarships for Native Americans to become teachers and school administrators.
S 458 (NEST Act) this is the Senate version of HR 2727.

Warriors, there are more like these, as well. You can find any federal legislative bill by using the website: https://www.congress.gov

State Levels of Control?

Since my fellow Warrior is from WY, I thought we should end with looking at what is happening to our Native Americans at the State level. We see the alignment and confinement from the federal level, above. Below is a blog entry I thought you, Warriors, would ‘love’:
WYed
If you’d like to read that Dec. 2014 article, here it is.

WY has a Tribal Children’s Triad. This is a partnership between communities and schools. ESSA ‘loves’ these kinds of relationships. In fact, in some of my earlier ESSA research, I shared with you how entire communities will be assessed/measured/tested for alignment to ensure ‘student success’.

According to WY’s ESSA State Plan, a mere $6.6 million will be used for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, which the ESSA law mandated. Page 51 of the Plan, is where you’ll find this figure.

Closing:

Warriors, I trust you will find this information helpful wherever you live in America.
One last thought I’d like to leave you with. You’ll see it below. Share it if you like.

The Best For The Worst

Welcome back, my fellow Anti Fed Ed/CCSS Warriors!

I’ve returned home after a bittersweet journey. That said, let’s dive in, shall we?!
*******************************************************************************

In playing ‘catch up’ on the latest education news, I found this ‘lovely’ rotten apple:
The CCSSO (Council of Chief State School Officers) has been given an award for being one of the BEST non-profit groups in our nation!

If you missed this news, it is no surprise. It was announced on the CCSSO’s Press Release Page on 4/1/17 (aka: April Fool’s Day). CCSSO’s Twitter account waited to ‘tweet’ the news the same day as the first ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) deadline expired. In fact, if you use Twitter and wish to see all the ‘cheering tweets’ CCSSO gave each State as they ‘lined up’ for ESSA (per the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s website), find them here.

ccssobest

Warriors, I hope you see not only the irony of the dates used, but the groups involved. It’s been known for quite some time how tied to the CCSS Machine the CCSSO is. The same is true for the U.S. Dept. of Education, too.
**************************************************************

So, what group(s) are involved in recognizing the CCSSO as ‘one of the best’?

The NonProfit Times:

First, here’s a quote from the CCSSO Press Release about the “The NonProfit Times”: “This is the second year that CCSSO made the list of 50 organizations recognized. The NonProfit Times partnered with Best Companies Group, Inc. on this report.”

NPTimes

What we need to know about the NonProfit Times is this: It is a publication of the BridgeTower Media group. BridgeTower Media uses its’ research arm, the Best Companies Group, Inc., for ’employee satisfaction’ data collection.

Crossing Over On A Bridge:

BridgeTower Media is the business arm of GateHouse Media: “BridgeTower Media is the business-to-business media division of Gatehouse Media, the largest publisher of daily newspapers in the United States.” Source

However, Warriors, BridgeTower is a ‘rebrand’ in business news! See below:

B2B
See the rest of the article.

Enter The Warriors:

So, how does this involve what we are experiencing in classrooms? Why as an Anti Fed Ed/CCSS Warrior should I take notice?

1) Technology is really big deal in modern education. Technology means data collection, sharing, and, power. Power for those who capture it/loss of power in our privacy. So, apply the following in that context.

SoftBank has a “Vision Plan. Technology is the root of the Plan. Also involved in the “Plan” is Saudi Arabia. The Plan includes increasing globally led AI (Artificial Intellegience). Apple, Inc. has already jumped into the Plan. Apple, Inc. is also part of the CCSS Machine’s overreach into educational settings.

GateHouse Media is considered America’s largest publisher of daily news. GateHouse, thus has tremendous influence in our local areas. Consider this, the single largest investor (Fortress Investment Group, LLC)  in GateHouse Media was sold to a Japanese based investment group (SoftBank Group Corp.) earlier this year!

2) Warriors, a globally based investment group has been able to get their collective foot further into our American doorways by making such a move. The evidence for globally-led influence in American education is becoming stronger every day.

3) Notes: Technology-based education was given the go-ahead with the passage of WIOA (2014’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), STEM Act of 2015 (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act, 2015). Technology based education in the HEA (Higher Education Act, 2008) will most certainly received the ‘go-ahead’ for streamlined education when it is re-authorized.

Current leadership in D.C. is ‘hell-bent’ on expanding technology, especially in classrooms. A huge portion of federal funds has been earmarked for technology purchases and upgrades via ESSA.

So, how does all this tie back to the CCSSO’s ‘award’?!

You have a  massive global group with plenty of CCSS Machine ties congratulating ANOTHER CCSS Machine member for being a best ‘non profit’ group. Non profit groups have been used for years to usher in the education reform.

We are on a  fast track set for meeting the U.N.’s global education goals as written out in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)!

Technology will render ‘school choice’ a thing of the past. ESSA’s implementation will render true ‘school choice’ as a thing of the past.

Closing:

Warriors,  the CCSSO should receive no reward for anything it does.  By the acknowledgement as one of the best places to work, according to the NonProfit Times, those employees are rubbing our noses it what they do for the CCSSO. Helping lead the way in un-Americanizing education.

There is a place for CCSSO and every other CCSS Machine member group.  It’s called “Traitors Gate”.

ESSA in a Nutshell

nutcracker

Anti CCSS Warriors, the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is meant to be tough. It is meant to embed educational reform as we have never before seen. It was meant to be SO tough, no one would ever truly know the rotten insides lurking underneath the ink.
It is full of CCSS, CCR, CTE(Common Core State Standards/College Career Readiness/Career Tech Education), and a host of other programs, initiatives, and WASPs (Wrap Around Service Programs) which will conduct anything and everything in the name of student outcomes, student achievement, and/or student competency.

BUT like every tough nut, the ESSA is NOT impossible to pry open to reveal the rottenness inside of it! In today’s article, I will do my best to expose the rottenness in one ‘crunch’!
rottennut
The following lists are from the ESSA Final Conference Report. They will also be in the ‘Final Law Version’, but the page numbers will be different.

Data (and all that goes with it), Technology, and the In Home Assessments:
Page 123; 138; Page 255; Page 363; Page 450/451; Page 463/464; Pages 485-488; Page 508; Page 630; and Pages 943/ 944. (A complete explanation as to why these are so rotten:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/04/essa-and-digital-overload/
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/05/weekend-news-the-ies-and-the-essa/ )
In a crunch: almost $900 million for more technology to data track, data mine, and sell to almost anyone connected in or outside of education. All in the name of ‘student success’. Assessments will be part of this rotten portion. (Section 9210 is where you need to crack open the in home assessing.)

Teachers,  School Leaders, Non-Profits, For-Profits Inside and Outside the Classrooms:
Pages 300/301; Page 302; Pages 323, 324; Page 344; Pages 347-349; 351-357; Page 406; and Section 9210 (yes, as in the Data paragraph above). In one ‘crunch’, see my “School Board Special Part 3”, for not only more revealed rottenness for teachers and leaders, but you will see more about intrusive data mining, as well as whole community alignment all in the name of ‘challenging state academic standards’ for student competency based education.
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/26/school-board-special-part-three/

Timeline the States Will Have to Adhere to:
In a crunch, just keep July 1, 2016 circled on your calendars and share with your legislators this date. There will be others, but this one will hit the States bank accounts rapidly.
See the ESSA timeline of the MOST important dates (there are others that we will discover as the school year 2017-18 approaches. To fund this straight path to alignment rottenness, the FY 2017 Federal Education Budget Requests.

Big Bucks for ESSAhttps://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/11/fed-ed-2017-are-you-ready/ (*Note: be sure to follow the 2017 Budget’s rottenness is the related articles.)

Workforce/Career Tech/Career Pathways/Career Clusters/STEM/Apprenticeships:
This is a huge part of the rottenness in the ESSA! The passage of the ESSA embedded workforce based education in a multitude of page numbers, programs (existing or about to be introduced). The supposed lack of business trained workers is what we are told the career paths are for and why they are needed in education ON THE SURFACE, but underneath? The rottenness: more data mining, tracking, and aligning students (0f all ages) for the sake of Mr. and Mrs. Businesses. ESSA directly ties to WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014).
In a crunch know that the WIOA and HEA (Higher Education Act) are mentioned in the ESSA over 160 times!  To see the rest of the rottenness surrounding this ESSA/WIOA marriage: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/12/05/weekend-news-essas-untold-ties-to-hea/

The WASPs (Wrap Around Service Programs):
Unlike the nuts we’ve crunched so far, the WASPs won’t be inside the nuts, they will, however, be close by the nuts. This will be another huge part of the ESSA rottenness.
Look for Promise Neighborhoods, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, SEL (social emotional learning) interventions, and much more. Page numbers and all the stinging news will be seen: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/04/meet-your-new-neighbor-essa-seriously/
and here: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/23/the-school-board-special-part-one/

Is There More Rottenness?
Absolutely, we could break the above categories down into smaller ones to reveal even more rottenness disguised as good legislation for education. However, we know if we are to share this with legislators, we must, out of respect for their busy schedules, keep the information concise. In my researched findings, this is about as concise as I can make the over 1, 059 pages. ( ESSA FINAL CONFRPT_112915 ) or its shorter Final Law version ( Finalessa.391pages ) Why do I continually refer to the larger document? It is easier to read, therefore easier to sift through.

Not a Nut, but a Cog:
I have kept the nut theme going for a reason. Nuts all look the same on the outside, of course depending on their variety. You usually can only tell when the meat inside is rotten once it is cracked open, crunched in an inertia device, etc. However, you know I have long referred to all the activities in the education reform we are witnessing, as part of the CCSS Machine. Below, I leave you with my ESSA, CCSS-Machine-like screen shot. You certainly may share this with your busy legislators, but please be sure to make it as relevant to your state as possible. I have one specifically for NC, that I will be sharing with the NC General Assembly. If you live in NC and would like that graphic, please contact me.

Fed Ed Budget for Teachers/Leaders

fedledteach

It is no secret how fed up most American teachers are with Common Core Standards. Now iron-clad bound by the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act).

What MORE CCS (aka: Competency Based Education, College and Career Readiness, or Challenging State Academic Standards) will they be subjected to? What about the other school leaders (principals, superintendents, school board members)? Will, they to, now be dancing with ESSA puppet strings? You bet!
How many of our tax dollars with be used to set the music? Plenty!
Today’s focus: the President’s Education funding requests built into the Fiscal Year 2017 Federal Budget. Why talk about it now so early in 2016? The Budget has just been released and needs Congress’s rubber stamp!

Lead On, Oh ‘Mighty Feds’:

In case you missed the preceding article where I detailed the CCSS Machine’s grasp on the ESSA and how it impacts students, schools, families, and communities, see: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/11/fed-ed-2017-are-you-ready/

Knowing the agenda BEHIND the CCSS (Common Core State Standards) is one of ‘cradle to grave’ AND will include every citizen, we know that teachers and leaders in our schools will NOT be exempt from aligning to whatever name the CCSS Machine slaps on their educational standards.

Like yesterday’s article, you will get a summary of the main ways in which this alignment will either continue or begin.

Oh, and one technicality, ‘Mighty Feds’: ESSA, like CCSS, is illegally based and thus is Constitutionally prohibited! Asking money to back all this ‘conducting’, is quite egregious.

ESSA’s ‘Sheet Music’:

To see the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s blog article about the Education Budget requests for teachers/leaders, see: http://blog.ed.gov/2016/02/the-presidents-fiscal-year-2017-budget-request-supporting-teachers-and-school-leaders-for-student-success-3/

To see the hidden CCSS Machine ‘notes and strings’ is where we will spend the bulk of this article.

The article begins with a pretty big erroneous statement about how the ESSA passage will continue the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965) and its civil rights legacy. I guess the U.S. Dept. of Ed totally overlooking the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) as a continuation of the ESEA, is no big deal. Without NCLB, there would not of been the RttT (Race to the Top) which saddled all of us with CCSS in one form or another! Be sure you read the next part about what research proves and every parent understands “the most important school-based factor impacting a child’s academic success is the quality of the classroom teacher..”
No, it isn’t, U.S. Dept. of Ed! As a retired private educator I know for a FACT that the teacher IS important, but she/he is certainly NOT the MOST important factor in education. There is MUCH more that goes into a student’s academic success. I will add, as I have heard from parents and teachers across the nation that they not only understand this, but KNOW it! So, how will the federal government apply even more pressure to perform on our teachers/school leaders? Let’s see:

1) ‘RESPECT: The Best Job in the World’, a new billion dollar program in MANDATORY funding. What is this ‘new’ program? From the 2017 Federal Budget Fact Sheet:
“Helping ensure equitable access to effective teachers and school leaders for low-income and minority students in high-need schools by investing $1 billion in mandatory funds for the new RESPECT: Best Job in the World program to support a nationwide effort to attract and retain effective teachers in high-need schools, and $2.8 billion in discretionary funding to support teachers and principals at every phase of their careers.” Page 5 of the 7 Pages of Facts points out this billion dollars is a one time investment and implies the program is an update of an older version. I found the older version, as well as what ‘RESPECT’ stands for. From the Federal Budget 2015 Justifications document, “Recognizing Education Success, Professional Excellence, and Collaborative Teaching (RESPECT) Project”. See the dollar amount below in the screen shot:
fedledteach15

2) Ten million taxpayer dollars will go to to ‘Teach to Lead’, a most definite collection of CCSS Machine members support this program. Visual proof below is directly from their website (http://teachtolead.org/) You can click on the picture to enlarge it, if needed.
teachleadccss

My look into the ‘Teach to Lead’ article and what, you the anti CCSS Warrior needs to know about them (in case you are not familiar with them): https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/monday-musings-leadingteaching-duncan-style/

3) A proposed ‘Teacher/Principal Pathways’ program is also included in the 2017 taxpayer funded Federal budget. The cost? It isn’t spelled out in the Ed’s blog, but I did find a dollar amount in the Fact Sheet. There it states, $125 million. Here is the excerpt, “$125 million for the proposed Teacher and Principal Pathways program for grants to institutions of higher education and nonprofit organizations, working closely with school districts, to create or expand high-quality pathways into the teaching profession, particularly into high-needs schools and high-need subjects such as science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).”
I have repeatedly shown proof as to HOW STEM is a federal led program to create a STEM nation filled with STEM citizens who have STEM jobs and HOW the CCSS was the best way to embed this. Here is JUST one of my anti CCSS Warrior, need-to-know, articles where you can learn this fact AND more! See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/10/29/tech-thursday-stemccss-push-making-it-american/

As an example of what the new proposed program may contain, see how Louisiana started their program for teacher and principal pathways from their RttT funds (2012), see: http://sites.ed.gov/progress/category/teacher-and-leader-preparation-and-pathways/

4) Supposedly saving students ,who decide to teach, big bucks (‘up to $25,000’) is a built in forgiveness clause in the 2017 Budget Request. Sad truth of it all is, the forgiving won’t apply until 2021 and as one teacher who left a comment on the Blog stated, she can’t qualify because she already consolidated her student debt load in 1994! From the Fact Sheet, “A streamlined and expanded initiative to provide up to $25,000 in student loan forgiveness for teachers graduating from an effective preparation program who serve in low income schools, starting in 2021. This proposal would consolidate various post-secondary assistance options available for teachers, such as TEACH grants and the current teacher loan forgiveness program, into a single loan forgiveness program in which the benefit increases over time as teachers stay in high-needs schools.”

5) ‘Teacher and School Leader Incentive Grants’ will receive a whopping $250 million dollars. As an anti CCSS Warrior, you need to know what they will be getting for their money. From the Ed Blog, “support efforts to develop, implement, or expand human capital management systems or performance-based compensation systems in schools.” Why? From the Budget Fact Sheet, attract, develop and retain talented, committed, and accomplished teachers in high-need schools.”

6) “Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED)”, will get $100 million. Being sold as a way to help teachers become better teachers, this money will go to “nonprofits (who) can provide evidence-based professional development activities, as well as prepare teachers and principals to serve in traditionally under-served school districts.” Below is the screen shot of the 2015 SEED grantees.

For the last look at the proposed (after all, Congress hasn’t approved all this yet) 2017 Federal Education Budget Request, the focus will be the overreach into post-secondary education and how the ESSA is involved.

WYBI Wednesday: Almost Snookered into Common Core

If your child is nominated for a computer, would you ask questions before they received it?
If your child is nominated for a computer, would you ask questions before they received it?

The following is a true story from a family who wishes to remain anonymous. I have respected their request. Please, be aware.

“FREE Computers” for deserving students:

The educational conference I attended had a sign up table with little to no information other than ‘nominate your students’.

Of course ‘free’ was the catch. However, because of the contact directing me to this, I thought everything was ‘cool’. Not hearing anything for months, I figured the program was a bust. However, recently, I was alerted we were number 3 in line. That, no our computer wouldn’t be free, but only $100.00. That sent my radar up. Then, the statement, of the computers are refurbished was spoken. Another radar. So, I called the non profit responsible for this. The lady was as nice as could be. I explained that all I could see is that computers were given via their “Tech Scholars” program. Nothing about programming them before the students received them. I did notice some of the partners logos to my right, known CCSS supporters/data miners. A huge radar went off. However, to be fair, I wanted to find out the answers to my 2 simple questions. I told the nice lady who I was, why I was calling. She took my first question, “Are the programs you install before giving them to the students aligned with Common Core Standards?” Her reply, “Common Core? Umm, no.” My next question, “Are the programs in any way data mining because I noticed some of your partners are?” Nice lady, “No, they do not.” She went on to tell me if I had questions about the programs typically installed, I needed to go another website that lists all the programs they used. I thanked her and hung up.

At the New Site:

This site showed me ‘shout out’ kind of messages about which non profit was doing what with their programs. I spied the one that has my student’s name in the pot. I click the link. There are 2 options before me with the words, ‘typically provided’. Hhmm…does that mean more, less, or customized? If customized, who’s the one who decides? So, figuring I’ve made it this far, I go on. Math is first. Easy, the banner is cute, with a bee and flowers. On one of the petals, “Standards” is written, I click there. Before my eyes I see state standards from across the nation (those which didn’t align with CCSS) and then..yep, there the Math CCSS ones are. I sigh, not really surprised. I just see my student not receiving this ‘free’ gift. Well, on to the writing program. Wonder if it will be so easy to spy CCSS here, is what I catch myself saying in my head. Not as easy to spy, I click a few places and then see the “Creative Commons”, oops. There’s the tie. Now, I KNOW this student won’t get this computer.

Why This is a Big Deal:

First, the non profit which encouraged me to enter this program is a ministry.

Second, the non profit giving computers didn’t have accurate answers.

Third, if you are giving away educational computers you should absolutely be able to know what CCSS is.

Fourth, as an anti CCSS person, there is no way I’m staying in a program like this and my student will not be getting this gift. I don’t care how cash strapped we are.

Lastly, we are a homeschooling family. Don’t tell me CCSS doesn’t impact us! I chose to homeschool so I could get away from CCSS! What if I had NOT asked those 2 simple questions?

Are we, as a society, so attached to the gimmick of ‘free’ that we don’t stop to ask ‘what’s in it?’ before we receive that ‘free computer’? We have students, children with allergies of all kinds, we are watchdog enough over what they eat, drink, and do. We must be watchdog enough to ask the hard questions, the unpopular questions. The questions that cause the receptionist to do a double take.

WOULD You Ask?
