Closing Out April

My fellow Warriors Against Federally-run education, April 2017 is almost a thing of the past for us.

During this month, we’ve seen several States turn in their ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) Plans for approval by the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s Secretary, Betsy DeVos.
To see our States, yet again, bow to the Feds is angering. ESSA, was to give the States BACK their power to decide education, NOT,  once again, to seek a federal employee’s permission.

Warriors, we knew, from researching ESSA, the fallacy of State-led education. So what will May 2017 bring in this area of our War Vs the Core? Hopefully, a re-awakening! There are State level bills out there designed to help create ‘locally led’ education. Will they survive? Time will tell.
**************************************************************
In April, we’ve seen many of our fellow Warriors slandered by pro-CCSS Machine member groups. I salute these Special Warriors because they are consistently seeking the truth, finding it, and sharing it. All the while encouraging our DC leadership to keep the promises to rid our nation of ‘Common Core’.
However have you noticed? ‘Common Core’, in name is gone. Yet, in every other aspect of education, ‘Common Core’ has survived via name changes used in the hopes to throw all of us off the track. Warriors, we have learned and shared every ONE of those name changes. No amount of opportunistic word play is going to deter us, is it?!

**ESSA’s name change ‘winner’ is “Challenging State Academic Standards”.  Yeah, right..until you read the fine print, then you’ll find those ‘challenging’ standards are the same old, failing standards they’ve been since 2009/2010.**
************************************************************************
Think of it this way, Common Core’s name changes can be related to the lump of coal which is turned into a stunning diamond. The lump of course, is the ugly version. The diamond is the version everyone desires.

Common Core by ANY name is ugly. It promises us diamond-like results, but has failed every single time, in spite of ‘the-name-of-the-month’.

Archives To Use:

During April, you also know that I’ve been through quite a bit personally, and in my educational activism. I’ve not written as much, and when I have censorship via social media has succeeded somewhat in muting my voice. To that end, I’m embedding those particular articles below. Each are very, very important to read and share.

1) Calling out our leadership on the stance of education, is something in May, we must continue.

2) For our States to truly be free, they must learn to end relationships with those groups, companies, and, partnerships which are NOT being honest in seeing each State do its best where education is concerned. These groups, like the CCSSO (Council of Chief State School Officers), are, in fact, helping enable each State to become a federally mandated and restrained environment. The goal as to WHY groups like the CCSSO have for your State and mine? Workforce based education for a global economy.

3) In May 2017, I hope you find at least 5 other folks who are as ‘Fed Up’ as we Warriors are! Share this with them so they can hold their Representatives and Senators accountable, while they learn some of the names ‘Common Core’ hides behind (example: CTE, Career Tech Education).

What’s Ahead For The Diva:

I’m honored to share that I’m researching some special projects for my MO Warriors, as well as those of you in OH seeking to end “Common Core”.

I’ll keep writing when and where I can, both here and as a guest columnist on the Patriot Institute, where I address education exclusively.

I’ll be once again, cranking up the media apperances with the Negdog Network. I hope to continue other appearances as well, like the Women on the Wall calls.

The very special project I’ve been included in (and took me to Wisconsin), is due out very soon. I cannot wait to share that video based educational activist resource with you! Watch the Common Core Diva Facebook page and my Twitter (same name), or check out the U.S. Parent Call to Action Facebook page for the debut of this 4 part series.

Warriors, if there is anything I can assist you or your State with, please do not hesitate to let me know. I’ve love to meet each of you on your home turf someday, and maybe, soon. The fight isn’t over, my freinds. We’ve got a lot left to do and a short window of time to complete it in!!  You can count on me to be by your side.

CCSS Machine’s Dangerous 3

Warriors Against the Core and Fed Ed, just yesterday you learned about those posing as helpful resources, but are really part of the CCSS Machine (Common Core State Standards). Their agenda boils down to a ‘Dangerous 3 Points: Data, Alignment, and Profit’. In today’s ‘From the Files’, we will look more posers, Pearson Publishing and the Foundation for Excellence in Education  are among them. Why  bother? As in yesterday’s article, since we are now officially in the era of the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), we MUST remain  pro-active against those Dangerous 3 Points!

So, What is Being Pushed Now?

‘Shifting to digital education’, is one of their latest efforts. This is a ‘no brainer’ in the modern education reform. Why? It packs all 3 of the Dangerous Points in 1 punch.
There is even a dedicated Twitter handle for the movement, #ShiftToDigitalEd.

Let me clarify, the CCSS Machine member, Getting Smart website (all about education and technology) is where I learned about this. Pearson Publishing is sponsoring a five part blog series devoted to digital learning. Who is writing the blog? None other than CBE (Competency Based Education) guru, Tom Vander Ark. A huge CCSS Machine ‘poser’!
Here is an excerpt, “This blog is part one in a four part series–sponsored by Pearson Education–focused around the key indicators of success in a digital learning program. Throughout the series we will give details about the five “look fors” in online and blended environments.”

So HOW will VanderArk, Pearson, and other Digital Companies pull all this off?
1) Shared Vision for each student. “A graduate profile and a picture of learning.”
2) Involve the entire community. “Community conversations should consider how the world is changing, how jobs are changing, and how civic participation is changing. What’s really important for graduate success?” Houston (TX) ISD is given as one of the best examples of #1 and 2. See the write up: http://gettingsmart.com/2016/02/how-houston-schools-are-making-it-a-great-global-city/
3) Use the right systems, ask the right questions. See the screen shot:
blendbend

To access the above guide where you can find out more about those Dangerous 3 Points lived out in real time across America: BLIG-3.0-FINAL Be sure to look for how, repeatedly, the Dangerous 3 Points are laid out. Infrastructure (meaning your phone lines and digital bandwidth); legislation to back improvements up (will line the pockets of those in charge); seeking funding to pay for the alignment to digital (means more student measuring, aka assessing), and so much more. Also, note all the other CCSS Machine member organizations and posers involved.

Below is the screen shot from the poser CCSS (now ESSA) Machine member, NGLC (Next Generation Learning Challenges) created for the best kind of students: digitally hooked, globally minded, and competently educated. (Can you immediately spot those Dangerous 3 Points in each of the NGCL’s model?)

So, Jeb Bush’s Foundation is in This Too?

Of course! Somehow I knew after he dropped out of the 2016 Presidential Race, we were not through with his meddling in education. We know, by research and a sold out media, just HOW connected to the CCSS Machine, the Foundation for Excellence in Education is!
In my opinion, the ESSA, has given the Foundation a new spark.

The latest (which also pack a 3-in-1-punch for America)? “Why Proficiency Matters”
There is also a dedicated website for this. But, be warned, you will be asked to share your location where you access it. (You do have an option to block your location, too.) Website:
http://whyproficiencymatters.com/
whymatters

According to the information from the website, there are 5 reasons (which handily fit the 3-in-1 punch) we should have proficient students. They are a) education, b) preparedness, c) college, d) skills, and e) employment. The Foundation has combined reports to give you all these alarming figures. For example, 23% of students who take the Armed Forces exam (to join the military), fail. Manufacturers across America have 600,000 jobs and no skilled workers, and of course, the amount of money used in post-secondary education for remediation and lack of CCR (college/career readiness). You can find all the gloom and doom: http://whyproficiencymatters.com/about
(*Note: do you see the connection to higher education? Remember, the HEA (Higher Education Act) is coming up for re-authorization. The same CCSS Machine members who pushed the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) will most definitely be pushing this! A huge selling point for the re-authorization will be student debt!!)

If you are curious as to what solution the Foundation offers, it is this: states setting assessment goals to match the NAEP. By doing so, states also are aligning the assessments to ‘Readiness’ (as in CCR)! See below:
feeready
When you visit the Foundation for Excellence in Education’s above pages, be sure to click on the ‘Resources’ tab. There will not be much to see, but you need to see what IS there. http://cqrcengage.com/excelined/WhyProficiencyMatters

To see the Facts the Foundation is basing the ‘Proficiency Matters’ campaign on: Facts-Sources-2015.11.02 (*Note: there are quite a few other CCSS Machine members cited as sources here.)

Other ‘Dangerous 3 Points’ the Foundation is pushing? Education Savings Accounts, Education Policy courses for all, and so much more. See: http://www.excelined.org/

Closing:

So there you have it, Warriors, MORE CCSS Machine members posing as helpful folks. Only they forget to add they are pushing alignment, data/digital, and money making opportunities for themselves. What does our nation get? The shaft, the damage, and the demise of our people.

Be sure to catch me on my Media Wednesday, 3/30/16. The day begins with Negdog Radio (FL), 347-843-4165, 10 am (EDT) to 12 noon. Then, in the afternoon, AL based City on a Hill will have a guest spot for me. (Watch my Twitter and Facebook for more information) Lastly, Women on the Wall (TX) and the national Warrior Call: 302-202-1110, code 702165, begins 8:30 pm (CDT). All 3 will be archived.

FTF: “Human Capital”: The ‘New’ Name for Citizens

How the Initiative behind all that Common Core encompasses SEES your students like this.
How the Initiative behind all that Common Core encompasses classifies your students.

Well, Anti CCSS Warriors, Labor Day Weekend 2015 is behind us. Yet the Common Core State Standards and its Initiative (which includes CCSS, Career Technical Education, College and Career Readiness, Aligned Apprenticeships, STEM, and SO much more) continues to grind away at our students…of ALL ages. How does an upcoming UN General Assembly play into all this? Let’s find out today! Then, catch me tomorrow morning on my weekly guest radio appearance as we discuss this and more about ‘human capital’!

First, the Upcoming Assembly:

The United Nations (UN) is getting set in to have its General Assembly. When is it? September 15, 2015. Where will it be held? In New York City, New York. How will education, especially geared to become ‘human capital’, be involved? Read on, my fellow Warriors!

Secondly, the “Human Capital” Agenda:

What is the definition of ‘human capital’? Well, that depends on which resource you use. For example, I’m using the “World Economic Forum” descriptions as evidence. Why the WEF? I chose this one as it uses the UNESCO/WHO/ILO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization/World Health Organization/International Labor Organization) and other international groups’ pillars for ‘human capital’! While I’ll share the entire report’s link with you, here’s an excerpt which will explain the pillars of being ‘human capital’.

“The Four Pillars are:  The Index a) The Education pillar contains indicators relating to quantitative and qualitative aspects of education across primary, secondary and tertiary levels and contains information on both the present workforce as well as the future workforce.  b) The Health and Wellness pillar contains indicators relating to a population’s physical and mental well– being, from childhood to adulthood. c) The Workforce and Employment pillar is designed to quantify the experience, talent, knowledge and training in a country’s working–age population. d) The Enabling Environment pillar captures the legal framework, infrastructure and other factors that enable returns on human capital.”

The Report will go on to share with you that in all, there are 51 indicators of measuring humans as ‘capital’. In Pillar A, there are 12; in Pillar B, there are 14; in Pillar C, you’ll find 16; and in the last Pillar, D, there are 9. Below is a screen shot of Pillar A (they refer to it as “Pillar One”).
pillarhumaned

Also featured in this report are all the ‘sub-categories’ used to measure citizens. Among them: their private data, their talents, and, their well-being. Get the entire report:
WEF_HumanCapitalReport_2013 (Please note, this report is from 2013, but the information is still very important to those of us in the War Against the Core. It is also over 500 pages.)

Human Capital via OCED (Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development) and the UN:

Back in 2009, there are was a meeting hosted by OCED. A big topic, which was receiving much attention, was ‘human capital’. The entire pdf presentation is included in this article for you, but, I’ve got a screen shot you need to see.
2009humancapital

One of the ways to measure ‘human capital’ revealed in this pdf presentation was the PISA assessments. (PISA stands for Program for International Student Assessment). The Warriors at “What Is Common Core” have an article which I’m including the link to. Questions 33 are 34 concern the PISA and CCSS. See: https://whatiscommoncore.wordpress.com/tag/pisa/  Then contrast that with the OCED’s CCSS and PISA report. See: http://www.oecd.org/pisa/keyfindings/PISA2012-US-CHAP4.pdf
Once you read their ‘rhetoric’, be sure to balance it with the real truth about PISA and CCSS! See my fellow anti CCSS Warrior, LadyLiberty1885’s scorcher about Pearson Publishing’s ties to the PISA. Access: http://ladyliberty1885.com/2015/03/04/pearson-is-everywhere-pisa-2018/

Get the 2009 OCED pdf presentation: OECD2009

Back to the Upcoming UN General Assembly:

So, my fellow Anti CCSS Warriors, what will the 2015 UN General Assembly hold for education? Well, aside from the above, the Assembly will consider 2 resolutions which will definitely have MORE aligned education/human capital components! One resolution contains the MDGs from the UN (Millennium Development Goals). Of those goals, at least 2 will further the UN’s push for ‘global education’. One goal will target the youngest learners; another goal will use educational lessons to further the social justice surrounding gender issues. To see all the MDGs: http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/
To see the Resolutions for adopting more MDG/educational/human capital programs, visit:

FTF: CCSS Education/Community Alignment Reaction

The Common Core Machine loves to create minions to do its bidding.
The Common Core Machine loves to create minions to do its bidding.

I really hope yesterday’s article got your attention. I know for those of us fighting to rid America of the CCSS Machine, its initiative; their educational inappropriateness; and everything else related, we needed to know that information. However disgusted we may be, we need to press on.

Among several anti CCSS Warriors, many nerves were touched by the image of the hub from yesterday. While I understand WHY the image may be upsetting, it is important to know that because of the information, others responded (either via Twitter or Facebook) with very similar images that depict educational/community alignment. Below is the one from “Tacoma 360” for a parents school!

Courtesy of Diana Anderson via the 'Stop Common Core in Oregon' Facebook page.
Courtesy of Diana Anderson via the ‘Stop Common Core in Oregon’ Facebook page.

Here’s what another reader posted from Oregon:

1618311_455611634539888_481179049_o

Both the anti CCSS Warriors who provided these noted that like Ms. Hoge’s discovery of the 1990s hub (featured in yesterday’s post), these new versions all capture the Goals 2000 or Agenda 21 concept.

Another reaction which was shared to help us all in this data mining/community aligning educational reform is from another one of the anti CCSS warriors who happens to specialize in computer technology. His submission: http://itsmypii.com/
According to the mission statement for “It’s My Pii”:Secure, protect and defend Parental Rights and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of students, parents and teachers.’

Another follower was able to spot how the hub is a symbol used by several groups determined to undermine our nation.

No matter what we see, the fact of the matter is the CCSS Machine’s INTENT is this:
Reshaping America (at any cost) in the name of education reform.

From Twitter:

In response to my article, Mrs. Anita Hoge posted the following DIRECTLY related resources. I urge you, as Warriors Against the Core, to access these, share them, and contact your legislators immediately!

Her 1995 discoveries titled “Womb to Tomb”Womb_To_Tomb-Anita_Hoge-1995-299pgs-EDU.sml

Contrast her findings on page 197 and the following pages with Sen. Lamar Alexander’s original vision for an aligned community via education reform. Remember, he’s the main person behind the “Every Child Achieves” Act (S1177). He also is the main one behind the upcoming re-authorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA).

Here’s the visual explanation Mrs. Hoge tweeted earlier today:

Much of the re-authorization of the ESEA includes Title One funding!
Much of the re-authorization of the ESEA includes Title One funding!

Another good article she guest wrote that ties in ‘whole child learning’ and all the community alignment: http://www.newswithviews.com/guest_opinion/guest229.htm

The “Whole Child” Learning Destroyed by CCSS?

Yes! Before the outcome based education model, ‘whole child learning’ was what another dear researcher and anti CCSS Initiative Warrior, Donna Garner calls the “Type One”  whole child learning. That’s where basic, good academics were taught. Contrast that with her “Type Two” (outcome based education) definition of ‘whole child learning’. That’s all out performance levels, workforce training..in other words almost NO academics!

To further explain this shift , read her article about reading vs. pre-reading:
http://kgab.com/battle-lines-drawn-in-common-core-standards-whole-language-vs-phonics/

You may wish to see Mrs. Garner’s ‘whole child learning’ revelations on this North Texas
website. (Scroll to the bottom and look for point #3 where it is pointed out how illegal the ESEA waivers are and how the funds are being used to misrepresent ‘whole child learning’.)
http://www.northeasttexan.com/headlines/2015/2/21/big-texas-problem-congressman-culbersons-language-in-hr-5-th.html

The CCSS Machine’s idea of “Whole Child Learning” can be found at the ASCD website. ASCD is Gates Foundation funded. (I’ve exposed their ties to Gates and CCSS in other articles). Here’s their definition of ‘whole child learning’, “A whole child approach to education is defined by policies, practices, and relationships that ensure each child, in each school, in each community, is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. It engages all stakeholders—educators, families, policymakers, and community members.”  To see the rest of the description: CCSS-and-Whole-Child-one-pager

Weekend News: Anti Common Core Media Files

Lending a helping hand to all our anti CCSS Warriors out there is something I like to do.
Lending a helping hand to all our anti CCSS Warriors out there is something I like to do.

Greetings to you, the dedicated Warriors against the Common Core. The news this weekend is meant to be of an aid to you in your state’s battle. Here in NC, not only are we beginning ANOTHER school year of the illegally based Standards, but we find ourselves surrounded by media reports designed to tell us how great CCSS is. Preposterous!
This is why fighting the Common Core is SO important. REMEMBER, there’s more credible evidence AGAINST Common Core and the CCSS Machine than there is to SUPPORT them! Use this evidence…daily..repeatedly..and with conviction!

From this past week, the media files where I was honored to be asked to speak out.:

First, Wednesday’s Negdog Radio Show, the “Back to School, CCSS Style”.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/negdog-radio/2015/08/12/negdog-radio-war-vs-the-core-wednesday-episode-214

This information reveals what parents can do when taking the kids back to their schools using CCSS. It reveals what parents need to ask IF they aren’t sure if the school uses CCSS. The information also discusses faith-based and homeschooling parents ‘need to consider’ information. There’s much more packed into the 2 hour interview which you can use NOW in your states.

(*Note: Each week (unless otherwise scheduled), this 2 hour live call in radio broadcast is available to anyone devoted to fighting Common Core. Your host is a concerned citizen who’s fairly new to the fight against CCSS, but not new to standing up for America. Listeners of the show are encouraged to call in with their questions about Common Core. Each radio show is archived so you can access the information at anytime. To phone in 347-843-4165. Broadcast time is usually 9:30 am to 11:30 am each Wednesday morning.)

Second, The Women on the Wall National Phone Conference’s broadcast of “21st Century Learning Community Schools”.
https://soundcloud.com/alice-linahan/women-on-the-wall-conference-call-21st-century-learning-community-schools

This information includes ’21st Century Community Learning Centers’ updates; the digital push of the CCSS Machine to dehumanize our education system; a quick bit of history about the the Common Core State Standards Initiative (which is responsible for ALL the CCSS related arms/legs in education); how the ‘Sanctuary Cities’ are playing into undermining education; how data mining is a massive profit maker for the CCSS Machine. In this almost 2 hour discussion there’s plenty more information you can use NOW in your states.

(*Note: each Wednesday evening (unless otherwise scheduled), the Women host a national phone in conference call. Each call is archived. The call occurs 8:30 pm (Central Daylight Time). For those of us in the Eastern Daylight Time Zone, that will be 9:30 pm; for Mountain Daylight Time, 7:30 pm; for Pacific Daylight Time, 6:30 pm. Phone in number: 302-202-1110, conference code is 702165.)

In Case You Missed It:

This past Thursday, I released a primer of sorts to most of the acronyms we anti CCSS Warriors use. It’s important to share again because we have new Warriors with us. Warriors who are on a crash course to understand MORE about Common Core. This article is an effort to help them ‘decode’ all those trendy shortened names.
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/08/13/tech-thursday-decoding-the-core/

Coming Up This Week:

I’ll be looking in depth to some of the amendments currently in committee for the federal level re-authorization of the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act); I’ll be digging into NC’s push of the CCSS Machine into post-secondary education; Then, I’ll be up to others kinds of anti Common Core activism as well. As always, I will do my utmost to be relevant and thorough.

How one might say we feel about the quality of education CCSS is delivering.
How one might say we feel about the quality of education CCSS is delivering.

FTF: What More Do We Need, Anti CCSS Warriors?

Senators, like the Representatives have shown little care about the dire messages we've been sending.
Senators, like the Representatives, have shown little care about the dire messages we’ve been sending.

Anti CCSS Warriors, if you listened to the ‘debate’ in the Senate yesterday, 7/13/15, you, like myself, got a belly full of lies. If you didn’t listen in, I hope to shed at least a little light on what some the fodder was. Why? There will be even more today. Sen. Alexander pulled a surprise move just before the close of the day by asking for ‘closure’. It was so surprising, even Sen. Harry Reid fussed about it.

What does the move mean? Sen. Alexander was basically saying there had been enough debate and that it is now time to move on. So, today’s hearing should be not only interesting, but dangerous.

However, let me summarize from the beginning of the meeting:
1) I watched the entire session on: http://www.senate.gov/floor/  CSpan2 will also carry it, but you must have a cable provider.
2) Three p.m. open the Senators day with “Morning Business”
3) There were some amendments offered up, ones for post secondary data mining, anti gender discrimination (ie: LGBT), student data privacy, and career readiness.

I’m not going too much into detail for any of these because I’m sure we’ll hear more about them in today’s session. I also know, several news sources have already shared information. My goal is, as always, to give you what the mainstream media won’t.

What’s dangerous about those amendments? As usual, on the surface, it would appear not much. However, the 2 amendments concerning post secondary education (data mining and career readiness) are full of not only CCSS, CTE alignment, but they help tighten up the noose the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, laid out for education. Let me stress, this will not only impact those in post-secondary classes, courses, or grade levels, the career readiness is embedded in grade levels well BEFORE the post-secondary attendance! Workforce also impacts every adult who’s headed back to work. Again, using education as the blow that stuns.
As far as the student privacy committee who’ll be studying data harvesting, know this is again monkeying with FERPA, the original law set up to protect such data. When FERPA was changed, is when we began to see the private data go viral and become one of the hottest ‘items’ available on the open business market. Anita Hoge has shared several documents about the where the data comes from, where it’s headed, and everything in between. Let me stress, it is not as worthy an amendment as it was sold.
One such document: http://www2.ed.gov/about/bdscomm/list/eec/equity-excellence-commission-report.pdf Then, there’s this one:
https://www2.ed.gov/about/bdscomm/list/eec/equity-excellence-commission-report-compendium.pdf
As far as the discrimination amendment, the basic intent is worthy of an out and out bill of its own, not an amendment to a bad bill. What will be a major concern with this amendment is how the Title 9 funding, and law’s language are treated. As we’ve seen before with CCSS, by altering how laws like Title 9 are structured, produces nothing truly good.

Will any of these amendments survive to actually become a viable part of ECAA? Will they be further misused to advance the CCSS Machine’s agenda?

As of the close of ‘business’ last night, the Senate voted unanimously to attach Sen. Hatch’s student data privacy study committee (the groups Sen. Hatch praised as helping give him insight towards creating this amendment were all well known, pro CCSS groups).

During my weekly guest spot on 7/15/15 on the  Negdog Radio Show, our topic is a more in-depth discussion of the Senate’s moves for ECAA. Tune in from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, each Wednesday, where the ‘war against the core’ hits the radio. Link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/negdog-radio

Lastly, I will openly confess I was so angry by the end of the Session, that I came up with a new name for ECAA (Every Child Achieves Act), for me, it’s the EPDEA (Every Politician Deceives for Education Act)

Freedom Friday: CCSS Warrior Reminders

Fighting so ALL may be independent of the CCSS Machine!
Fighting so ALL may be independent of the CCSS Machine!

This Independence Day weekend, I’m taking no time off to celebrate freedom. Not while our nation is under attack by the CCSS Machine. This upcoming week, will be historic. If our voices are heard in D.C. and the horrid ‘Every Child Achieves Act’ is halted, we, the CCSS Warriors can know we were key to that victory. However, we MUST not relax too much. The Higher Education Act and it’s re-authorization (which is just as horrid as ECAA) is set to be voted on soon.

I’ve reported how those behind the HEA are heavily relying on the fact that while all eyes are on the ECAA, the HEA can quietly be pushed through. Warriors, we CANNOT allow this!

ECAA will impact every K-12th grade student in its domain. BUT the HEA will impact every post-secondary citizen out there. Regardless of what educational choice you were are product of in your K-12th education, when you reach post-secondary education, CCSS/CTE will be thrust upon you. You’ll have no choice! This means every recent graduate of high schools across the nation, every returning-back-to-the-campus adult taking refresher courses or earning a new degree! The uniting factor for ECAA and the HEA isn’t for YOUR benefit, it’s for the CCSS Machine’s benefit. IE: the national economy and global positioning of America.

So, you see, we’re NOT free..not at all. Please read the reminders below that are fact based, NOT opinion based.

1) Anything connected or about to be connect to CCSS, CTE is based on illegal education activity.

2) Both the HEA and the ECAA contain MORE aligned assessments, teacher/professor retraining to include the CCSS/CTE career tracks, and massive data mining where the Dept. of Labor and the Dept. of Education are ‘married’ in a nation-wide effort. The first graphic below is a career track which begins in high school and is offered to every educational choice out there (traditional brick and mortar or virtually) and continues on into post-secondary education. The second graphic you see is straight from the Workforce Quality Data Initiative where the stunning fact of student data mining’s marriage can be found.

3) If you’d like to hear my latest interviews on any of the above reminders, I’m including the links. We know the CCSS/CTE is toxic to our nation, we know there are many, many others out there who don’t realize it. Use any of this information to help raise awareness.

Thank you for sharing it. Every anti CCSS warrior and his/her efforts is appreciated..and sorely needed.

*Please note that I mistakenly referred to ECAA’s House of Representative’s version in conjunction with Sen. Alexander’s name. I thank my fellow anti CCSS warrior, Karen Bracken for pointing the difference out.

WYBI: Recap of Today’s Anti CCSS Guest Apperance

As a guest on the Neddog radio show, the host, listeners, and, I were able to blow the doors off the CCSS Machine!
As a guest on the Neddog radio show, the host, listeners, and, I were able to blow the doors off the CCSS Machine!

Any day I’m blessed to be alive is great. However, add to that that I get the honored opportunity to speak out against Common Core AND that makes the day truly legendary!

In case you haven’t been able to access the live stream from my last two radio guest spots, I’m providing a brief synopsis of both. I’ll start with today’s and then Monday’s.

NegDog Radio’s Broadcast:

Access to Paul’s Radio Station, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/negdog-radio/2015/06/24/negdog-radio-war-on-the-core-wednesdays-episode-175. My first appearance on this show was last week, where I was able to share with the listeners from all around the globe how Common Core has made its way into our sports teams, programs, and related extra curricular activities. In turn a couple of the listeners had their suspicions confirmed as to why sports coaches must be teachers as well.

The host, Paul, was so ‘blown away’ he asked me to return to his show this week and appear on today’s show. He set aside 2 hours so we could discuss and field questions about HR5 (“Every Child Achieves” Act) and the HEA (Higher Education Act). Both of these federal level bills are up for re-authorization. Both bills will cement MORE Common Core Standards and Career and Technical Education, data mining, social justice, social and emotionally inappropriate materials into not just the K-12 population, but the entire post-secondary population as well!

Here are some of the links to the previously published articles (which contain much information, links, and/or documents mentioned during the broadcast:
1) This article was one I wrote in preparation for the last Twitter rally before HR5 was voted on. It contains the list of organizations backing the “Every Child Achieves” Act. https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/04/06/monday-musings-hr5-rally-tonight/

2) Sen. Alexander’s papers detailing his successes with “Career Ladders”, “Master Teacher Corps” and much more of his education agenda, can be found by following this link,
http://tennessee.gov/tsla/history/govpapers/findingaids/gp53.pdf

3) The groups which make up the Council for Higher Education and are actively backing the re-authorization efforts can be found in this previously published article of mine,
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/ftf-chea-cte-ccss-and-america/

4) To track the progress of HR 5, follow: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/114/hr5

5) To access the 2008 Higher Education Act as it stands NOW (I can share at a later date the page numbers and other sections you need to really focus on): https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/110/hr4137/text

6) How the Workforce agenda is embedded in HR5, from my archives:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/03/05/tech-thursday-workforce-gunning-for-hr5/

7) To access the article I’ve published with will include the 144 page blueprint Sen. Alexander is using as the base to re-write the HEA, see:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/06/11/tech-thursday-more-alexander-hea-and-the-next-america/

One resource I meant to share, but didn’t have time is what one group backing HEA (and supported by Gates Foundation) is hoping to see out of the re-authorization. The reason I wanted to share it is found at the 1:12 mark on the short video message. Notice the Gates Foundation’s involvement. See:
http://www.nasfaa.org/Main/orig/2013/rtf/The_Policy_Brief__The_114th_Congress_and_Reauthorization.aspx

Lastly, assuming you’ve been able to access both the audio files Paul provided on his website from the Women on the Wall archives, you’ll want to access the SCAN publications website that Anita Hoge mentioned during her informative chat about HR5. SCAN is the acronym for “Secretary’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills”. Which Secretary? The U.S. Dept. of Labor’s, that’s whom. Why would you want the access to the publications? As Mrs. Hoge mentioned the framework for what a 21st Century worker is to look like, have completed via their education, is laid out here. This is where it is more than evidenced that education isn’t about true academics, it’s now about what will get you ready for work. See: http://wdr.doleta.gov/SCANS/ (use the left hand menu bar and choose “Research”. Choose ‘publications’ and notice the titles you see. One you might find very telling is the ‘Young Parents Guide’. I know I did.

Monday with Doris:

Accessing Doris’s show is easy to find on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/dailydialoguewithdoris?fref=ts

Monday’s appearance was a first for me with Doris. We’d become friends via Facebook some time before our time together on Monday. Joining Doris and I on her broadcast was a couple from Freedom Project Education. This is the group which Dr. Duke Pesta and Mary Black are associated with. FPE is dedicated to being 100% Common Core free in their on-line school!!

We openly discussed the different perspectives there are about CCSS, what it is, the agenda behind it, how to fight the CCSS Machine, and more. The time together flew by so quickly, but we were able to get much information into the listener’s hands.

Doris has invited me to appear on her show in the future so we can continue the discussion about Common Core. I’ll be providing her radio show archive from Monday’s broadcast as soon as I can.

Closing:

With the invitation by both Doris and Paul to reappear on each of their shows, added to the requests I receive from Tamara Scott and Alice Linahan who also use Wednesdays for broadcasting, I will be publishing daily articles Sunday through Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday each week. Wednesdays will NOW be set aside for media appearances.

Thank you, my readers and now, my listeners for this opportunity to expand the outreach that’s been blessed to be in my life in helping lead the fight against the CCSS Machine. I am truly honored.
