Ed’s Epic “Fail”

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, in my last article, we went over the Winter 2018 Brussels Education Declaration. In closing up that article, I shared with you the importance of taking a second (or for some, their first) look at this information. Why? Because the Declaration backed up the GEM Report for 2019. GEM is short for Global Education Monitoring.

This is worth looking at again (or may be for the first time) due to the fact that the UN/UNESCO will be using education as the vehicle to drive immigration changes to our nation.

Woven into these massive changes will be the epic failure of ‘climate change’. Also lumped in, will be what’s taught in formal and non-formal education settings. The GEM Report for 2019 (Titled: Education on the Move) is close to 440 pages. Broken down over 20 chapters, this Report is entirely subjective from the viewpoint of migration and immigration. Also included are displaced citizens (either by force or choice). (*Note: the document will take a few minutes to open, due to its size.)

Lots of other educratic moves are being planned, thanks to this GEM Report. Is America planning on participating? You bet. No one asked We the People if this is what WE wanted, but nevertheless, we’ve been committed to shifting education to this global ‘tune’.
formerdream

****It’s my suggestion that you take the last article (Brussels) and this one to compare and share with your leaders of authority. If they do not know what we face, as a nation, then how can we expect them to use their authority to help us?****

For the remainder of this article, I’ll share the most ‘need to know’ epic fails for American education ‘hidden’ within this massive global movement we’re ‘signed up’ for.

GEM 2019 Notes:

1) The Report claims itself to be ‘timely’ and the international community finalizes 2 pacts (Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration and the Global Pact on Refugees). *Note: Both were adopted or signed in Dec. 2018.
In the Executive Summary portion of the Report, the very first line you read contains “Leave no one behind”. UN/UNESCO feels it’s one of the most globally encompassing statements of all time.

Educratic Epic Fail #1:
The Report also states it combines these with SDG #4, Quality Global Education for All.

Educratic Epic Fail #2: By combining both pacts to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), no one, anywhere will be ‘left behind’. Warriors, where have we heard this sentiment before? The ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) re-authorization called “No Child Left Behind”.

2) The Report serves as a ‘reminder’ that it’s our (collective) moral obligation to provide education, especially to those who are displaced locally or internationally, immigrating, or, migrating. If we don’t we are all squandering human potential. How? Because no centralized, streamlined system for education and training is firmly in place, these are the people most likely to ‘fall through the cracks’. By investing in education, economies will be developed and boosted.

Educratic Epic Fail #3: Education is a privilege. It’s not a moral obligation. Education has pigeonholed millions of Americans into workforce tracks. By forcing education to become a shell of itself, the globalization has ruined academics.

3) The Report goes on to wax elegant about teachers needing to be trained to handle all diversity, cultural, multilingual, and psychology needs. That well designed curriculum should positively address diversity, critical skills, challenge existing prejudices, and, cause ‘positive ripples’ across the world.

Educratic Epic Fail #4: Warriors, how many of us have seen the overloading of our teachers with everything EXCEPT academics? Teachers were licensed to teach, not to be counselors, mental health professionals, or ‘jacks/jills of all trades’.

4) Because so many people are on the move (so the GEM claims), we must design education to fit them, not just host locations or host nations. Because education is such a global moral obligation the Education Cannot Wait Fund (ECW) is going to be used to create this change in ‘mobile’ education. (*Note: the ECW was created in 2016 at the World Humanitarian Summit. To date, the US has given $21 million. ECW is hosted by UNICEF and is a mix of P3s (public private partnerships), corporate foundations, philanthropists, and public funds.)

Educratic Epic Fail #5: It’s been proven by so many folks in America, that no amount of funds has ‘fixed’ education. Why are we still pretending it does?

GEM 2019 Helpers:

Warriors, the GEM Report did give us some clues as to which CCSS Machine member groups are helping further this educratic epic fail. They are the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), The University of PA (for their cumulative childhood behavior and diversity), Strength Through Diversity Project, Institution for International Education (based in NY), the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the MasterCard Foundation. Are there other CCSS Machine member groups not named but involved? Yes, you know there are.

GEM 2019 Themes:

Warriors, the authors of the Report used the immigration/displacement/refugee status in some overall themes. They are: deprivation causes need; order/disorder; will vs coercion; welcome vs rejection. The overall message to these themes? Since no everyone can adapt well, we must ‘level’ education/training.

GEM 2019 Money:

Funding global education is big business. Denmark leads the world ($73 million). America is 8th with $21 million. Warriors, below is a screen shot of Chapters 1-4. Notice how the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) can be tied into the GEM 2019 Report as an educratic epic fail:

GEM2019first
(*Note: next time you hear someone say we should be like Denmark in education, show them this article.)

GEM 2019 Assimilation Strategies:

Warriors, according to the Report, migration (regardless of why) and displacement intersect with education and training. Because the intersect, definite impact is also experienced.

Assimilation is the goal.

HOW to assimilate is broken down in several ways. For example, we must globally accommodate education by a commitment to fulfill the internationally accepted human right to educate. By adjusting education in this way, social cohesion is achieved. Governments increasing their education ‘responsibilities’ can see more inclusion and less conflict. To meet everyone’s needs ALL forms of educating will be accepted, formal, non-formal, community based, and privately.

GEM2019secondMore assimilation tactics include funding for education as well as humanitarian efforts and development efforts which will connect to education. One way this will play out is in updating resources like outdated textbooks (filled with bad attitudes). Other ways? Financial literacy, recognizing competencies in work skills and education (better access to the job market), and, assessments tied to data mining.

GEM2019third Below is an older visual I made to help you see the progression to cause American education to ‘epically fail’. With the new GEM Report changes, look at how they will use that old system:

updatesdged
International Community (includes the US) Sharpening Tools for SDG #4:

Warriors, how does the GEM for 2019 lay out these tools? Power and money are the biggest two. Then there’s the assessments and tests which will use data trails to the UN to monitor us all. Turning the agenda to shift education toward immigration and displacement has shoved the issue to a ‘high level political item’. This ‘item’ is the key focus on an upcoming forum (July 2019).

GEM2019four
Other sharpening tools include ‘beefing up’ graduation rates; starter education younger (aka early childhood education); turning education into CTE (Career Tech Education) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) exclusively; using OBE (Outcome Based Education aka CBE, Competency Based Education) for education/training for work; global citizenship; safe schools; embedding the SDGs; scholarships provided for education/training by P3s, corporations, and the government;
globally trained teachers; and, using education in all the other SDGs for ‘decent work’.

The biggest ‘sharpening tool’? Legislation and policy moves for immigration, migration, and refugees. Warriors, sitting in Congress, right now are over 200 immigration related bills! From my quick search, only 2 fit the GEM Report of 2019 to a ‘tee’.

Those are HR 1044 (Rep. Lofgren, CA is the sponsor, 224 co-sponsors) and S 386 ( Sen. Lee, UT is the sponsor, 21 co-sponsors) These Bills are related, but not exact copies of each other. HR 1044 is  the “Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019”; S 386 has the same name.

GEM Report Pages For The USA:

Warriors, below, all the pages from the GEM Report for 2019, where the US is mentioned:

Warriors, I urge you to open this image in a new screen, access the GEM Report (near the top of this article) and read for yourselves. If you want to access that early childhood upcoming meeting, go here. To learn about the IAEG-SDGs group, go here.

Closing:

Warriors, if ever there was a time to be concerned about our nation, I’d say this is it.
Immigration/migration/displacement come from within our shores and from outside ALL our borders.
However, education IS the change agent we should be focusing on. Walls, or lack of them, have NOT stopped this UN led takeover of our schools! Walls, or in spite of them; education will continue to shift to workforce unless WE stop it.

*****Warriors, in my next article, how UN-led climate change is rampant in D.C.****

Up To Our Ears

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, do you ever get the feeling some folks just don’t like the truth? Sure, truth is not always accepted, especially in the educational reform which has overtaken our everyday lives. Truth isn’t always welcomed, either. Especially when anti Fed Ed conversations reach those delicate issues we do not agree on.

However, Warriors, EACH issue of this educational takeover IS vital! Not one point needs to be called down, made fun of, or, worse, have those on the same side calling each other names.

Every single time we engage in the ‘show me the proof’ tactic instead of respecting we are on the same side (saving our students/citizens from one-way-to-teach-and-learn), we help the CCSS Machine’s progress become a bit more believeable to the rest of the nation.

We’ve been given a earful of news, Warriors..and it has many jumping to some dangerous conclusions.

1) Betsy DeVos’s humdinger of a lie that Common Core is no more.
DANGER! While technically speaking the ‘phrase’ Common Core is not as ‘hot’ as it once was, does NOT mean it is completely dead. The phrase has been replaced with other names. It is a tactic we saw used before ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) became law and it is still being used. The CCSS Machine is replaying a worn out song, here Warriors. Tune the volume down!

2) Is the news the President has signed an Executive Order to have DeVos and her team conduct a 300 day (and taxpayer funded) study as to where and how the federal government has over-stepped in education. DANGER!!

How so?! Wouldn’t this be some of the most welcomed news we Warriors have had in ages?!

Listen Carefully:

While the Order MAY accomplish some good, let’s look at some key evidence from our War Vs the Core:

1) Assume nothing is completely over or corrected as long as federal activities in education are still going on. Rubber stamping and codifying federal overreach into education are the new reality.

2) IF the President and Congress had already heeded our voices, read our credible evidence, we would NOT need a 300 day time period to prove where the gross overreaches are.

3) Were any of the Anti Fed Ed Warriors consulted about the need for a study, especially at our own taxpayer expense? Will any be sought after to help create a truthfully objective Study?

4) Having Betsy DeVos go over her ‘own’ federal cabinet agency is pretty much like putting a fox in charge of the hen house. Look at the disasters of Duncan and King. Are we destined, as Americans, to continue to see a parade of educrats reign supreme?

5) The elephant in the room concerning this Order? The U.S. Constitution’s firm stance that NO federal involvement in education is permissable. So, Order or not, until this basic truth is heard and honored, nothing will change in what is happening concerning education!

6) While all ears were tuned to the Executive Order to rein in DC, look at what followed:  Mr. Trump congratulated the CCSSO (a verified CCSS Machine member group) on their Teacher of the Year program.
(*Note: the TotY is backed by other CCSS Machine member groups.)

From where my research has taken me over the years, this is not a tune any Anti Fed Warrior want to hear. Especially when it followed the ‘hit’ about an investigation into the U.S. Dept. of Education. (*Note: fellow anti Fed Ed Warrior, Shane Vander Hart stated, ” It is certainly a welcome action, but let’s not do a happy dance yet.”)

What We’d Like To Hear:

1) Does the President have the power to make 2017 the year this debacle is righted? Sure he does! Will he use it?! That depends, Warriors. Will President Trump and Congress continue to ‘mute’ us and our truthful information?

2) If we are truly to believe our President wants to end Common Core, he must silence the hypnotic tunes of the CCSS Machine’s rhetoricFrom the Vice President on down the line, too.

3) As many anti Fed Ed Warriors joining in the ‘truthful hits’ via social media, especially the #KeepYourPromise campaign already firmly in place on Twitter. We Warriors MUST keep up the pressure. Music is said to soothe a savage beast, right? There is no bigger, nastier beast than that of the egregious educational reform. If we are to change the tune of education in America, we must influence those in charge. The Twitter campaign has been consistently drawing awareness and hyper focus to our War vs the Core. It is a ‘pitch perfect’ tool we can use. The Study’s to take up to 300 days, why not use that time to ‘pitch’ a helpful, truth filled note?!

4) IF social media’s not your ‘thing’, we need as many parents, grandparents, citizens, and students (of all ages) to keep pressure up with their Congress members AS well as our President! Think of Horton hearing that Who. It took every single resident of Whoville to make noise.

An Idea:
We could save our nation millions! Taxpayer funds for those Studies wouldn’t be needed; Mr. Trump could simply listen to our voices as anti Fed Ed Warriors who’ve proven almost daily that ALL federal intrusion into education from birth to grave is illegal!

Make noise, Warriors! Be heard! This is not a time for silence from the masses.

selective-hearing

Closing:

Warriors, am I hopeful the end of the federal overreach in education is about to become history? That depends.

Will Congress end its ties to the United Nations, especially in adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals, where education is an intended ‘change agent’? Will D.C. honor its own Constitutionally binding parameters? Will the States wake up and reclaim their sovereignty and deny the federal intrusion into education by refusing ALL federal funding? Will ESSA and WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) be repealed and re-written to honor the Constitution? Will the HEA (Higher Education Act) be halted in its current re-writing to honor the Constitution?

Will the President acknowledge that EVERY federal level Cabinet agency has its hand in education? Will he stop THOSE Agencies or order investigations into their workforce education plans?

*Personal note: I’ll be on a much needed break for most of next week. Feel free to use the blog’s archives for research you need.

No Enigma Here

It’s a new work week, Warriors. While I’m sure you’ve heard the news that once again, the voices of those who cherish freedom were ignored, know that we MUST fight on.

If you have not heard the news the American control of our internet is gone. Several credible media sources have shared this. So, I won’t beat the news over your head. I’m sure other anti CCSS Warriors have also given much time to research and writing on this particular event. However, the internet and all that goes with it are  DEFINITE players in education.
So, what am I adding to the research/information?  Please check it out below.

Happening Now or Has Happened Not Too Long Ago:

I’ve previously shared with you about the White House led “Educate to Innovate”. Rather than share that article here, I wanted for us to look at the Initiative now. Especially since it is at our President’s bidding that our internet is no longer ours.

edin
This is from their website. To see more: http://www.educatetoinnovate.org/
A big clue to the CCSS Machine alignment is the NSF (National Science Foundation).
If you’ve missed any of what I’ve dug up on them, just search the blog for them. You’ll find out just how sold out this government entity is.

ICANN, Our New Internet Manager:

As I stated above, there’s lots of information out about ICANN ( Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). However, if you’ve not seen what ICANN does, here’s a short video about them.

While this may not sound to you like we’ve just lost our 1st Amendment freedom of speech, note that the capacity to neuter our voices has just ICANNeased (increased) tremendously!

So how will ICANN influence education? Look below:

canned

I found this information on the ICANN Labs page. Guiding you through how great these 4 ‘innovation tracks’ is Chris Gift.
Link for the Labs: http://labs.icann.org/en/about.html
Who is Christ Gift? ICANN has a very brief bio: https://www.icann.org/profiles/chris-gift
I didn’t have much luck finding his previous internet related jobs.

What Else I Found:

Gates Foundation’s grant of $3,000,000.00 to the Education Superhighway, ES. ES has been busy helping try to sway the elections in November AS well as continue to align America’s schools to the internet.

International Data Mining Conference:

I also found the upcoming (Dec. 2016) International Data Mining Conference. Known as ICDM (IEEE International Conference on Data Mining). What is the IEEE (? That’s the world’s largest organization for technical engineers! Their main goal? Increasing the global digital footprint.  See: https://www.ieee.org/index.html

Below is a screen shot of the workshops already planned. I’ve given a very brief description of each workshop. Two things I noticed, when looking into each of these workshops. a) That each workshop casts an open call for ANYONE connected to data mining to submit research/influence opinions, etc. b) That each workshop has a committee of leaders, often who are representatives from the CCSS Machine. Look at how many of these will be used in education.

dataed2016To look at the workshops more in depth: http://icdm2016.eurecat.org/workshops/

To learn about their December conference, see: http://icdm2016.eurecat.org/

Happening 10/4/16:

The IEEE is using October 4, 2016 as the “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow” Day. Now, why did I put this AFTER the December Conference information? By you seeing WHAT IEEE/ICDM are doing, you can better arm your students on 10/4.
1) It’s a global day full of celebrating locations. Lots in the USA and many targeting girls.
Link for events: http://www.ieeeday.org/2016-events-map/
2) In 2015, there were over 640 global events, 100 global ambassadors, and lots of photos.

IEEE, ICANN, and a CCSS Machine member organization can be traced back to 1999. I found this one. Educause is a well known CCSS Member.

IEEE has a document stating they will use the European Union’s Data Umbrella for privacy here in the US. See: http://www.ieee.org/about/ieee_europe/april_2016_ict_news_bulletin.pdf

These articles from my files can give you an excellent trail of data mining intrusion from far and wide. Since ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is law, you know the data mining/technology will continue to increase. (See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/02/04/essa-and-digital-overload/)

Closing:

I leave you with a video I shot this past weekend. It’s not fancy, it’s not glamorous. It IS, however, important in light of the upcoming elections. We MUST use the season to inform others! We CANNOT afford to elect people who will help continue the handing over of our freedoms; aligning our education to fit the CCSS Machine; and harming our children!! We need leaders who will LISTEN to us. We also need leaders who wish to keep America, American.

Will This be ‘Delivery’ or ‘Dine In’?

For this entry under “Would You Believe It Wednesday”, we’re looking at Common Core Standards as if we are considering our evening meal choice…ordering ‘delivery’ or ‘dining in’…

Your Menu:

Just announced yesterday via an email I received, Amplify now offers Common Core Standard aligned lessons, assessments on the go! Yes, as in, on your mobile device. In other words, ‘delivery’. Just ‘order’ what you want to learn & Boom..instant delivery..minus tipping your delivery driver. How fast, how “I can learn anywhere!”, ‘how indoctrinated’.. “Dining in”, of course is the more traditional school setting. But, according to the advertising, we’re  can have our ‘food’ either way. Oh, the price of this ‘delivery learning’…at least $359.00 to get you the first year’s worth of ‘food’ and a handy dandy ‘fork’ to eat it with (a pre-loaded tablet). Then, after that year expires, any other ‘deliveries’ you order are $60.00 annually. Pretty expensive meal, don’t you think? Last note to make, it’s geared more for teachers.

Your Diet:

Not much variety or choices here, all Common Core Standard aligned (see: http://www.amplify.com/curriculum)! It’s all the same thing, every day, delivered in the same manner. If I can ‘learn anywhere’, why can’t I exercise my God-given freedom to choose ‘how I learn everyday’? Millions of teachers & students accomplish this now and are blossoming. The difference? They are not stuck on a bland diet of the same thing, every day for their learning. Yes, I’m oversimplifying this, but its to make a basic point. There are so many different, exciting, and proven successful ways to learn, we shouldn’t be restricting ourselves to one way. That’s like telling your child, “I’m sorry, honey, but from now on Mom’s only serving spaghetti for every meal and you have no other choice, I’ve already bought all the ingredients.” Now, if your child is like mine, for a couple of days, the concept of spaghetti all the time sounds fun, or at least intriguing. But, think ahead, what happens in a couple of weeks? In a month? They won’t only be dreading the concept, they’ll more than likely be seeking invitations to a friend’s house for meals. We won’t even discuss what happens if my child is allergic to what the spaghetti’s made of.

Since Amplify is geared toward teachers, look at how much control is in the teachers hands. (http://www.amplify.com/tablet/mdm) Now, do not misunderstand me, I know teachers have a lot keep up with. However, I do not think this much management, access, etc. is the way to go. Especially when you factor in all the others who have access to the same information or God forbid, data breaches.

Your Restaurant Owner:

As far as the ‘restaurant’..Amplify Company. Let’s take a look at them, after all, if I’m going to be on their delivery list, I need to know who’s cooking the meal I’m about to ingest. Amplify is an independent portion of News Corporation. (Think a chain restaurant, one head office, many independent branches). As far as the owner, News Corporation is a global mass media company founded by Rupert Murdock. (see the companies News Corporation owns, http://newscorp.com/about/our-businesses/) News Corporation states is has, through it’s philanthropy, impacted over 55,000 students world-wide. Through Amplify, the company supports STEM and other 21st Century education initiatives. Diane Ravitch’s shared on her blog, Murdock won a hefty contract in relationship with Common Core & Amplify (see: http://dianeravitch.net/2013/03/17/rupert-murdoch-wins-contract-to-develop-common-core-tests/) Michelle Malkin’s post has another viewpoint about Murdock & Common Core (see: http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/343040/common-core-trojan-horse-michelle-malkin)

Check, please:

No article about Common Core would be complete without assessments. Amplify has you more than covered there. (See: http://www.amplify.com/assessment) Before I sign off for today, let’s review: Amplify is being sold to teachers, parents, and students with the following catch phrases, “ease of implementation”; ‘easy and affordable’; “vetted content”, ‘tech support’; “active learning”. It’s owned and operated by a well identified Common Core Supporter with access to data on a world wide basis. As we’ve discovered in other data related Common Core stories around the nation, education data mining is one of the hottest businesses on the market.

Being the savvy consumers we are, we now know, this menu, dietary selection, and restaurant owner do NOT satisfy our discerning taste buds.
