By Association

Greetings, my fellow anti Fed Ed Warriors and anti Globally Led Education Warriors!

Recently, while discussing the state of American education via 2 interviews, the topic of internationally based teaching groups surfaced. I thought it might be a great time to check up and see exactly what some of the latest moves are.
Knot-figure-of-eight-knit-clipart-etc

ICYMI:

Warriors, here are my archived articles exposing the American ties from teachers unions/groups to those of international status. With ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) being set into place, these ties are super important to keep up with. Why? The shift in American education is globally supported!

June 2017: global ‘data raping’ of our students
February 2017: AFT(American Federation of Teachers) and NEA’s (National Education Association’s) ties to EI (Education International). EI is a heavily tied group to the UN (United Nations), as well as the largest global teachers union.
March 2016: global overreach into home education

the-capitol-view-return-to-sender-snqyhq-clipart

“Global rhetoric has preached for years that education is a right and therefore MUST be given. The only problem with this logic is what is mandated (or in this case a ‘must’) is also controlled.” (source)

Here’s a “New” One:

Warriors, unlike the groups to follow, this particular ‘new’ group was one I was able to tie to the Texas Bush family (as in two former presidents). Now, we’ve known for quite some time Jeb Bush (former Governor of Florida and currently leading FEE {Foundation for Excellence in Education}) has sold our nation out to the CCSS Machine (Common Core State Standards Machine), but we’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge his Dad’s  (President George Bush (1)) selling Americans out to the NWO (New World Order), which has increased the amount of global overreach in education!

His speech from 1991, second paragraph
His video clip from 1991, promising a ‘new world order’

You might be wondering how the NWO fits into American education. Take a look at the former leader of the UN, Robert Muller.

mullercore2
A former UN leader’s words from years ago.

IS it any wonder Jeb is supportive of globally led education? However, Jeb’s not the lone Bush in the CCSS Machine. I found the NAFSA: Association of International Educators (NAFSA is short for National Association of Foreign Student Advisers)

To access the NAFSA’s full biography for Mrs. Bush, go here.
If you wish to see the 2016-18 NAFSA strategy for globally aligned education in America, find the Plan here. If you’d like to learn about how NAFSA has broken American down into regions with on-going global education, be sure to check out this page.

Updates From Those Other Global-to-American Education Groups:

In no particular order, here are the updates I could find on globally led groups overreaching into American classrooms.

IREX’s TGC (Teachers Global Classrooms):
Worth over $80 million dollars, this global teachers group works in over 100 countries. Founded in 1958 as a supportive group to uphold an education co-operation between President Eisenhower (who ‘gave’ America ESEA and HEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act; Higher Education Act, respectively) and Premier Khrushchev. IREX is short for International Research & Exchanges Board. CCSS Machine member organization, Ford Foundation was among the chief funding streams and supporters of IREX. (*Note: Ford Foundation is huge in supporting the UN-led STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) as well as the CCSS’s arm, CTE (Career Tech Education). Ford Foundation has also back the American Apprenticeship Programs created by President Obama. The AAPs are CTE/STEM/CCSS aligned.) To learn more about the IREX history, read it here. To see how connected to the UN, IREX is, read the proof here.

So how ‘global’ is IREX’s TGC? Look below:

IREXgoals
How tied to America is IREX? The U.S. Dept. of State in only ONE of the US groups involved. (*Note: you’ll find the U.S. Dept. of State and other American groups in IREX’s history.) How involved in the CCSS Machine is the U.S. Dept. of State? Very much so! (*Note: look for the paragraph header “Enter the State” in the above link.) You’ll also need to look at the IREX tie to Fulbright Scholars/Teachers for more CCSS Machine ties.

CIES (Comparative and International Education Society):
This global group is a collection of scholars who focus on “schools, students, teachers and administrators, and on issues spanning early childhood and basic education to secondary and higher education, as well as non-formal education and life-long learning.”

ciesclip

This Society recently wrapped up its 2018 international conference where north and south met. (North as in USA, South as in Mexico). The topic “Re-Mapping Education”. Helping CIES was Columbia University (USA). A conference message from the 2017 CIES President was also given. The former President? A professor from Loyola University Chicago. CIES’s executive director comes from Florida International University.
Among the sponsors? Teach for All and USAID (US Agency for International Development; look for the paragraph header “USAID’s In It, Too”), big CCSS Machine member organizations. (*Note: you’ll find all this type of information in the embedded program link above.)

To access the Universal Basic Education 2011 pdf, go here.

Nothing beats a trained mind, right?

GAML (Global Alliance to Monitor Learning):
This Alliance is completely dedicated to adhering to AND bringing to fruition the SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) #4: Global Education for All. How? It’s an arm of the UN, itself! Their latest information dates to late 2017. Access all the alignment here. If you’d like to see the latest information on how well global education (via assessments) is progressing, you’ll want to see and read the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) document using ‘social moderation’ and assessments. (*Note: from what I was able to glean, ‘social moderation’ is tied to competency and/or proficiency.)

GAMLuisreport

If you’d like to see the UIS’s planned use for ‘student data rape’ information, read this.

EI (Education International):
Warriors
, this is the organization I told you about which the NEA (National Education Association) and the AFT (American Federation for Teachers) have joined to support the global shift in education from real academics to workforce training.

(*Note: Both Unions were congratulated by Sen. Lamar Alexander as being key ‘players’ in getting ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act, passed into law. ESSA is full of workforce training mandates/assessments in proficiency and CBE.)

Global Education Symposium (GES):
Warriors
, just take a look at the obviousness of UN’s STEM presence:

GESSTEM

(Source)

Among the GES Global Partners you’ll find mental health groups, teacher development, and, more. Find out more, please! Among the US Universities which will be represented are FSU (Florida State University)and Brigham Young University (BYU).
You’ll also find Teach for All’s participation.

Closing:

Okay, my followers and fellow Warriors, there you have it. The march toward globally united education is narrowing its circle around us. How much more will we take as Americans before we strike back and remove ourselves, especially our children from this assimilation to global competency when Americans could be so MUCH more?!

Please note, these groups are NOT the only globally aligned ones we should be watching. Just as we should note that our current Trump led Administration is not aiding us in stopping this tidal wave of educational doom.

By Degrees

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, Anti Global Ed Warriors, and concerned Americans everywhere:

You’ve seen massive amounts of research exposing the continued push to have American education become the United Nations’ (UN) education. The main way this has been accomplished so far (and will increase in use) is STEM/STEAM/STREAM.

bones-say-it
STEM, by way of Common Core..and not in a distant galaxy.

No matter how many letters are added to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), it is ALL directly from the United Nations and their SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). If you have a family member, friend, associate, or neighbor who needs to see the many connections proving this, I’m embedding a general link to all my articles on STEM/STEAM/STREAM. (*Note: there are several pages of articles, so take some time to scroll through them to find exactly what may be needed.)

Some “New” STEM Evidence:

Warriors, in doing some research, I found a Fall 2015 article we need to know about.  It’s called  The Emerging 360 Degree Model for Global Citizenship Education”.

Before we look at the ups and downs of this research, take a look at how you and I should ‘stack up’ as global  citizens:

globalcitizenchart
(You can open the image in a new tab to see it bigger if needed. You may also use the zoom feature on your computer’s tool bar.)

Warriors, to have an image like this, we need to understand experiments were conducted with students to gather the data to create a visual result!

Where were the experiments based out of? Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
How connected to the UN is Boise State University? Very!
Model UN Assemblies are the tip of the global iceberg.
BSU is also a member of the AASCU (American Association of State Colleges and Universities) which is a UN Partner in Education.
If you’d like to see other BSU STEM related research, go here.

BSU, like many universities and colleges, has international partners for exchange programs/students.
(*Note: when you access the embedded link ‘member’ look on Page 7 for the mention of KY’s “Core” Standards for PreK to 12th data mining.)

Below, is a screen shot from BSU’s Institute for STEM.

BSUstem

The 2015 Report’s Language:

Page 1: STEM will ‘offer tremendous opportunities’ for solving global poverty and improving health care. Warriors, STEM certainly will because STEM is the way the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are carried out in education!
SDG #1 is “No Poverty”, SDG# 3 is “Good Health and Well Being”. Look below to see what else Page 1 stated:

emerging360
You’ll also see (on Page 1)  P3s (public private partnerships) are stressing we need to become global. Especially the P21 (Partnership for 21st Century Skills), which is most definitely a CCSS Machine member group.

Page 2: Reveals it’s imperative we educate students for globalization. Why? They can better understand the world. If they understand the world, they can fix the world’s problems. From Page 2 into Page 3, why health care needs to become STEM oriented. (It already is via the Career Clusters from Common Core.) (*Note” the embedded short video you’ll find when you click on “Career Clusters” is from TX, where the State supposedly didn’t have Common Core. However, TX had Common Core in the form of CTE, Career Tech Education and STEM.)

stempbl1
Make NO mistake: it has been a calculated plan for STEM and Common Core to be directly related.

Page 3: Global citizens can better economics for everyone, especially when they can ‘leverage collective assets’. You’ll find IPSL (International Partnership for Service Learning) also on Page 3. IPSL is a B Corporation (social benefit). B Corporations are usually big on social justice. Social justice is a huge component of the UN’s SDGs.
Many B Corporations are CCSS Machine members, too. (*Note: as an example, look at EFP (Education Funding Partners) ) Back in 2016, I exposed the AltSchool’s B Corporation status. Part of AltSchool’s classroom ‘setup’? Willy nilly style.

Page 4: the Global 360 Education Model is rigorous, progressive for real world problem solving. (Doesn’t this just sound like recycled pitches for Common Core?!)
Oh, also let’s not forget to overlook the ‘competency’ involved. You’ll see that on Page 4 as well.

Page 5: Global citizens should have ‘open minds’ especially while ‘actively seeking’. I guess the truth about having such an open mind leading to danger is lost in the CCSS Machine’s translation. “Preparing NextGen Leaders” also needs open minds full of STEM skills.

openbrain

Included on Page 5 of BSU’s research is the fact that in 2012, they partnered with Peacework. Peacework is a non profit global organization in full support of innovation (aka technology) and the SDGs. This non profit is based in VA and is 25 years old. (Be sure to see which educational and corporate groups are helping align Peacework to the CCSS Machine.

You will also see the Global Competency Aptitude Assessment is on Page 5 as well.
(*Note: the Global Competency Aptitude Assessment has a sister site for Global Competency Consulting. GCAA will be happy to help you can become a certified Globally Competent Practitioner.) The Consulting group’s goal is to prepare the global workforce.
globallycompetent

Warriors, here’s an excerpt from Page 5 about STEM and health-care,
” Within the context of STEM and health-science education, global competencies must include sensitivities to the social, cultural, political, ethical, and moral impacts of science, technology, and health-science and/or engineering-based global solutions (Conway, 2000; Currier, 2009; MBugua, 2010).”

Let that sink in for a moment. Who gets to decide which ‘sensitivities’ to include? Who gets to decide if these ‘sensitivities’ are in agreement with those being taught. As our government gets more and more STEM in our lives, we’ll see more legislation (like some I’ve recently shown you) where the families will have to kowtow to the government assigned health imperatives. (*Note: when you click on ‘you’, scroll down to the Mental Health in Schools Act section.)

citizenhealth
(The article where you’ll find the screen shot above.)

Pages 6-7 will detail how the learning process will shift to create global citizens. Four tools are used. Constructivism (where ‘critical thinking’ is inserted); interdisciplinary learning (where group projects are inserted); transformational leaders (where facilitating is used in place of teaching); and, international service-learning (think glorified indentured servitude). Helping put all this into action? International partnerships.

Pages 8 through 11 lay out the methods, findings, discussion, and conclusion of the Boise State University study. Be sure to read the comments made by the students.

Since the BSU Study:

Warriors, as far as BSU itself, the global citizen march lives on. Just like it is ramping up in every grade level, college or not. You’ll find global citizen courses for business, too.
Below is just a small sample of what’s out there.

globalcitsearch

To access the Council for Foreign Relations Report, visit here.
To access the Global Citizen Initiative’s Global Citizen Rights and Responsibilities page, that’s here. Also, here is an archived article I wrote featuring the Initiative’s scorecard on America’s push for global citizenry.
To see the course from Hong Kong, find that here. You’ll also want to click on ‘home’, where you’ll see Common Core in the upper right hand corner.
To see the Global Sourcing Council’s article on adhering to the World Economic Forum’s global citizen definition, that is here.

If you’d like to see the other World Economic Forum resources for defining global citizens, this one is from 2014 and appears to uphold the need to be global to help cut down on the cost of communications. In 2015, the conversation shifted to international ID cards and data tracking needed to ‘help’ global citizens. From March 2018, being global citizens means our ‘trust’ factor will be restored.

Warriors, according to this article ‘trust’ is the most important ‘pro-social’ attitude we can have. Since when did ‘trust’ become an attitude?! Trust, by classical definition is part of your moral character. I guess we can thank the CCSS Machine’s English Language Arts for destroying definitions.

The Shift To Global Ed In America Is Older Than You Realize:

Warriors, from 2016, my in-depth look at “My State in the World” where you’ll see MN, NC, MI, and, other States (as well as their schools) were compromised. This article features many resources from trusted Anti Fed Ed/Global Ed Warriors.

Closing:

Warriors, while we know this systematic take over of our education and lives continues, we also DO have a choice. Use the information to help others ‘wake up’. Since STEM has even infiltrated EVERY school choice, including home education, we must eliminate it from ALL curriculum, ALL community wide events celebrating it. We CAN teach each of these subjects without the UN’s influence!
STEM is NOT your friend, it is NOT America’s savior; STEM is a tool from enemies who do not love freedom.

The G.C. Update

Why would an Anti Fed Ed Warrior need to be concerned with ‘G.C.’? What is ‘G.C.’?
Warriors, the zippy quick answer is ‘global citizen’. The ‘update’ portion surrounding G.Cs? That’s what this article will look into. Why am I abbreviating ‘global citizen’? To simply fly under the radar of social media censorship.

wonder
When We Last “Tuned” Into G.C. News:

Warriors, we discovered in February 2018, the Global Citizenship (a direct ‘attack’ on every nation’s individuality and culture by the U.N., United Nations) received a boost from the U.S. Congress via legislation to increase America’s involvement in all things global. Before we look at what’s up in March 2018, or being planned in the future, step back with me, into my archives to see the trail of evidence I’ve shared with you. Why would we need this now?

With the States continually being forced into complying with all ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) has in mandates, we will see the push for G.C.s increase. Especially among our youngest students, as well, as those ‘outside’ the traditional education choices.

The G.C. Trail:

We also learned back in July 2017, that the G20 (Group of 20) was using their related task force, the B20 (Business Group of 20) to align education toward global citizenship. The related festival surrounding the G20 featured many well known celebrities to push how wonderful it is that education is the best way to give us global citizens.

From the Fall of 2017, I showed you the Global Citizen scorecard America has. You also will be able to see which groups want to have your babies become global citizens more than American citizens.

babyp21

A bit further back from my research (2016), we were able to find out how the U.N.’s Model Clubs are embedded in homeschooling. The intent? To help infiltrate this educational choice with not only U.N. philosophy, but global citizenship tools, as well.

To create G.C.s out of every American, young and old? What better tool to use than the Olympic Games (as well as the Special Olympics). The U.N.’s global agenda is well placed in this fashion.

Metallic robot androids one with human eyes
The Common Core Machine loves to create minions to do its bidding.

G.C.s Now And In The Future:

Warriors, if you’ve not heard of the UNA (United Nations Association), then you will not know the United States is a member. The UNA-US office is based in Washington, D.C., but you can find groups all over the separate States. While the UNA is not new, look below at some of what is new:

We’ve known the CCSS Machine link to the U.N. was intentional, but did you know the CC Standards also link to a Matrix called “Global Competency”? From Page vii:

How Did I Find The USA’s UN Association Website?

Warriors, I was able to find the UNA-US website by way of the WFUNA, which stands for World Federation of United Nations Associations. WFUNA wrapped up a winter 2018 Conference back in January. The theme?Mission Possible: International Agents of Change”. One of the key topics? Quality education for all. My fellow Warriors, education is SDG #4. (SDG is short for Sustainable Development Goal. The entire set of SDGs are UN created and US adhered to.)

The Global Citizen Forum (2013) was founded by the same man who also formed the Smart Group (1980s). The Smart Group’s tag line, “One World, One Vision” and is steeped in Technocracy. The man? BK Modi. He’s even been cited by the U.S. Congress as a Humanitarian.
To access the Smart Group website, go here.
To access the Global Citizen Forum, that’s here.

From the Global Citizen Forum, comes something truly unnerving, a Global Legal Standard. Set up to equalize people, businesses, and more.

Related Information:

If you are not exactly sure of how Technocracy factors into the CCSS Machine, please read my articles where I’ve connected the truth that the ‘innovations’ via technology mean more than a super fast Internet connection. Above (the highlighted word ‘Technocracy’) has 2 of my articles. The earliest one I wrote was in 2014.) Much of the Technocratic political platform is socialistic in nature. Just think Communism.

You can also find lots of information from a fellow Warrior, Patrick Wood of Technocracy News and Trends.

The G.C. Website (the one to the lower left of the Stevie Wonder picture):

This Global Citizen group is not to be confused with the Global Citizen Forum (above).
This G.C. group is the one which hosted a festival outside the G20.

Back in February 2018, Rihanna (celebrity) was a part of the Global Citizen’s efforts to raise billions of dollars for global education for all. (Ironic that a UN led effort for global education is named “Education for All”.) The US’s 2018 contribution to G.C., $375 million dollars.

Among the Board of Directors for G.C., you’ll find the Gates Foundation, Forbes, Huffington Post, and, others. The American groups in the CCSS Machine show up here, as they have been showing up for almost everything connected to education. Oh, and G.C.’s stance on education? Educate children to lead others out of poverty.

Closing:

Warriors, I hope you have been able to glean quite a bit you didn’t know before about the depth to which the CCSS Machine has sunken to indoctrinate all of us.

Winter 2016: A Look Ahead, NC and the USA

Bond, bad bond

I call this picture above, “Bond, bad bond”. Why? As a dedicated education policy and law researcher who has uncovered many ties to Common Core and its related entities, I can smell a foul stench when I see something like this. The great news is, I am NOT alone! I will go back to the Bond later in this article, but first, these important pieces of the ‘picture’ NOT seen above:

A) With the recent news of the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and its purposed exclusion of the phrase “Common Core State Standards, or, CCSS”, we have all been told CCSS is dead, is no longer an issue.
Ha, ha, I am not laughing. Nor are many of the other anti CCSS Warriors I know. Why? We have discovered the ESSA replaced CCSS with the following (interchangeable phrases):

1) ‘College and career readiness’, ‘college and career readiness standards’ (in some instances ‘career pathways’ and ‘career technical education’  were also variations)
2) ‘Challenging state academic standards’
3) ‘Workforce’ (WIOA, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) which was usually located in the direct vicinity of ‘education’.

If you missed my articles exposing these phrases and their locations in the ESSA, please see: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/?s=ESSA

B) So what does the ESSA have to do with ‘Bond, bad bond’?

In my opinion, it will have a  great impact. However, knowing that the workforce based education movement involves not only education, but labor and commerce, we need to know what those projects will be as well. And since we, across America, have seen how non-transparent a lot of the projects are, we must be ever watchful!

C) So, if you don’t live in NC, what can you glean from this type of bond activity?
1) As always, use it as an example of what is going on in your state!
Every state has departments for education, labor, commerce. Every state has bonds placed on their ballots.
2) In this day and age if one side says the bonds are imperative for education, find out how and WHY!
3) We can NO LONGER assume the supportive side in ANYTHING related to education is all that we are being told it is. NOR, can we always assume the non-supportive side in ANYTHING related to education is being up front.
4) With 2016 being SUCH an important election year, we CANNOT let any sneaky move by the CCSS Machine pass. Their omnibus bonds, bills, etc. CANNOT live on! Why? Not only does it grease the Machine’s gears, it lassos our future generations into MASSIVE debt.

Back to Bond, Part One:

Returning to the graphic you see and the statement I have about NC higher education being sold out, here is what I am referring to.
“Here’s the basic idea about state policies in education, at least in the CBP(Competency Based Pathway) Way:
a) ‘good’ policy moves include using students outcome to drive precedents.
b) ‘guarding’ those high quality academic standards
c) ‘create’ a community wide education effort (ie: must include ALL ‘stakeholders’)
d) offer incentives to help force certain outcomes and remove any rules or regulations not encouraging ‘more ways to learn/earn’.” (source: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/08/06/tech-thursday-career-pathways-meet-competency-based-pathways/) In  this August 2015 article, you can not only see NC’s progress in CBP but how it encompasses CTE (Career Tech Education)! You can find the links and other resources for what to look for in your state, too!

The Connections:

So, what has the supportive side for this mega bond for NC stated? The Bond’s real name is Connect NC. According to the Raleigh News and Observer, the entire Bond will be for infrastructure projects. Here is an excerpt,
“The $2 billion worth of projects expected to be paid with bond dollars include university and community college infrastructure, parks and North Carolina Zoo improvements and N.C. National Guard and agricultural projects. On its website, NC Against the Bond points out that the funding wouldn’t pay for transportation projects or K-12 education programs.” (see the rest of the article: http://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/politics-columns-blogs/under-the-dome/article53288900.html)

I would like to pause to remind you, my fellow anti CCSS Warriors, that this media source is very CCSS Machine friendly, and has slanted many articles concerning education in the past.

Another media source, from a smaller county in NC (Alamance) had this to report in support of Connect NC: “If voters do approve, Alamance Community College would get $6,100,339 out of $350 million earmarked for state community colleges. President Algie Gatewood said ACC’s Board of Trustees would need to talk about how best to spend the money, but much of it would probably go to nursing and other medical training programs.”, Wait, there is more you need to read! “BOND SUPPORTERS, and there are many, say the focus is on funding education in growing areas of employment like the medical professions, engineering and the sciences.“This allows the community college to train more nurses, medical assistants and nurses’ aides,” said Dan Ingle, ACC trustee and chair of the Alamance County Board of Commissioners. (see the rest of the article: http://www.thetimesnews.com/article/20160109/news/160109142)

I would like to point out that the ACC President is stumping this Bond. It is in the article.

Back to the Bond, Part Two:

Now, as far as the Connect NC Bond, it is part of a movement. It has the Governor’s blessing. If you missed my Weekend News article, it focused on the NC State Board of Education resolving to align education NOT to true academics, but to career tech education/college and career readiness/workforce related education for BUSINESSES and the ECONOMY in 100 % support of the Governor’s plans!(See:https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/08/weekend-news-tangled-webs-of-educratic-moves/)

When you take into consideration the Resolution in support of the gubernatorial office to the alignment to all things CCSS/CTE/CCR related it isn’t hard to see where the statement made in support of Connect NC is too far removed. Here is an excerpt, “The $2 billion bond will connect North Carolina to the 21st century through statewide investments in education, parks, safety, recreation, and water and sewer infrastructure.”

In the screen shot below, you can see the Connect NC projects are already in the works to some degree. In this PDF you can see Alamance County’s project specifically states ‘new construction, repairs, renovations’
With as crafty as the CCSS Machine is, you can see the education updates will most likely fall in the renovations portion of the funding. Very non- transparent, don’t  you think?! Get the pdf:
http://connect.nc.gov/Final%20Bond%20Project%20List_12.11.15.pdf

connectingnc

Oh, if you are wondering, there is NC State legislation for the Bond. See:
http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/BillLookUp/BillLookUp.pl?BillID=H943&Session=2015

It is here in the language of the law you can find the loophole Alamance County appears to be taking advantage of with its plans to use the bulk of its Connect NC Bond money for educational courses. “It is the intent of the General Assembly by this act to provide, subject to a vote of the qualified voters of the State, for the issuance of two billion dollars ($2,000,000,000) general obligation bonds of the State for the purpose of providing funds, with any other available funds, to update the State’s public facilities for the 21st century, including, without limitation, construction, repair, renovation, and furnishing of new facilities in order to (i) enhance other economic development efforts of the State and (ii) attract new and assist existing industry, business, technology, and tourism for the benefit of the State and its citizenry.” (NOTE: you can access the rest of the ratified law by clicking on the embedded link to it from the website above.)

Again, if you don’t live in NC, how can you find similar activity in your state? Use the upcoming primaries to see what bonds, taxes, etc. are being added which are connected to education in ANY way. Then, see what connecting legislation (and/or policy) is being used as the justification!

More Connections:

Since STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) are part of CCSS, CCR, and CTE; as well as being so specifically pointed to in the Bond and the Law providing for it, we need to see where NC has STEM (already in the works, too).

From the NC level:

https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/12/02/wybi-wednesday-rttt-stem-ed-waivers-and-more/ (This ties our Race to the Top funding to STEM as well as CCSS)
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/11/09/monday-musings-global-readiness-and-ccss/ (Since Global economy and global competency were including in the NC SBE Resolution, this article will be important)
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/07/the-great-education-experiment/ (This shows not only NC in the thick of STEM, but Workforce alignment to CCSS/CTE, too)From the federal level and to where to watch for in 2016:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/ftf-update-for-stem-workforce-and-the-hea-part-one/
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/tech-thursday-part-two-of-the-hea-stem-the-workforce-and-america/
2) https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/06/17/wybi-nc-businesses-and-common-core/
3) https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/wybi-job-development-grants-and-ccss/Again, if I am not an NC resident, why should I read these?
Since all 50 states have state governments, are aligned to the CCSS Machine via federal funding in some fashion, have jobs and careers where those businesses are forming the educational plans, educational institutions which must carry out the P3 (public private partnerships), we can use each others PRO CCSS movements to see where in the other states similar activity may be.

Career Clusters, Part of the Whole Mess:

Notice that Alamance County Community College wants to use the bulk of its money for updating courses. (see above) How does that factor into the CCSS Machine and Connect NC Bond? The short answer is they are part of the Career Technical Education arm of CCSS.These clusters usually begin in the K-12 area of education, but are also in post-secondary education. My article from 2015 about the Clusters and data mining may be of help in your state as well. Linda Darling-Hammond is connected. And the biggest way in which not only NC is tied to this, but your state as well: Perkins Funding! See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/11/20/tech-thursday-perkins-gets-the-common-core-squeeze/

As far as a federal level of education bonds or legislation which would impact infrastructure in education’s name, that will be another article for another day.

FOM: 2015’s CCSS Whoppers (So Far)

It's Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what's truth, what's fallacy/fib or what's in between.
It’s Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what’s truth, what’s fallacy/fib or what’s in between.

You, my fellow anti CCSS Warriors, should be very familiar with Fridays on my blog. You know that of all the days of the week, it’s the one where I take on the Facts/Fallacies and all that’s in between them concerning the Common Core Machine. One this first Friday in June, we’ll look at those Facts and Fallacies worth continuing to follow.

January 2015’s Global Fib Fest:

One of the biggest fallacies about anything related to Common Core is that it’s ‘state led’. Boy, did I find a bevy of proof to blow that out of the water. On the 23rd of January, I revealed “Primary Source’s” global connections and how it’s Common Core devoted. Then, you’ll find out how the Global Education Conference, Harvard University, and many others are spreading global citizenship dribble. Did you know the U.S. Dept. of Education has a global strategy for education? Did you know that the CCSSO (Council of Chief State School Officers) has a global competency task force? It’s all in this very important article reveals.

February 2015’s Look at Test Prep:

Did you student have a tutor this past school year? More than likely, if it was from a paid service or company, then more than likely the service or company is pro-CCSS friendly. How do I know? Researching a tip. Many colleges offer tutoring services for those in high school, as well as younger grades. Services from MIT, Harvard, and others are laced to the hilt with CCSS aligned programs. March’s In-Depth Review of Achieve, Inc.:

If you’re a long time anti CCSS warrior, then you know Achieve, Inc. is a huge pro CCSS supporter and profit maker! On March 13th, my readers were treated to a very close up look at how Achieve has aligned competencies for supporting education reform via Common Core. Looking ahead to what’s left of our year, 2015, we know the Fib-o-Meter finds. As long as there’s a CCSS Machine, there’s fodder for the Meter. If you’d like to find more of my Fib-o-Meter articles (from August 2014 to present), there’s a search bar on the upper right hand side near the header of the blog page. You can type in “Friday”, or “Fib-o-Meter”. You can also you a topical word or phrase for searching. I welcome your use of any of my articles previously published. What I find, I share because if we don’t share information, how can we win this battle?!
