The G.C. Update

Why would an Anti Fed Ed Warrior need to be concerned with ‘G.C.’? What is ‘G.C.’?
Warriors, the zippy quick answer is ‘global citizen’. The ‘update’ portion surrounding G.Cs? That’s what this article will look into. Why am I abbreviating ‘global citizen’? To simply fly under the radar of social media censorship.

When We Last “Tuned” Into G.C. News:

Warriors, we discovered in February 2018, the Global Citizenship (a direct ‘attack’ on every nation’s individuality and culture by the U.N., United Nations) received a boost from the U.S. Congress via legislation to increase America’s involvement in all things global. Before we look at what’s up in March 2018, or being planned in the future, step back with me, into my archives to see the trail of evidence I’ve shared with you. Why would we need this now?

With the States continually being forced into complying with all ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) has in mandates, we will see the push for G.C.s increase. Especially among our youngest students, as well, as those ‘outside’ the traditional education choices.

The G.C. Trail:

We also learned back in July 2017, that the G20 (Group of 20) was using their related task force, the B20 (Business Group of 20) to align education toward global citizenship. The related festival surrounding the G20 featured many well known celebrities to push how wonderful it is that education is the best way to give us global citizens.

From the Fall of 2017, I showed you the Global Citizen scorecard America has. You also will be able to see which groups want to have your babies become global citizens more than American citizens.

babyp21

A bit further back from my research (2016), we were able to find out how the U.N.’s Model Clubs are embedded in homeschooling. The intent? To help infiltrate this educational choice with not only U.N. philosophy, but global citizenship tools, as well.

To create G.C.s out of every American, young and old? What better tool to use than the Olympic Games (as well as the Special Olympics). The U.N.’s global agenda is well placed in this fashion.

G.C.s Now And In The Future:

Warriors, if you’ve not heard of the UNA (United Nations Association), then you will not know the United States is a member. The UNA-US office is based in Washington, D.C., but you can find groups all over the separate States. While the UNA is not new, look below at some of what is new:

We’ve known the CCSS Machine link to the U.N. was intentional, but did you know the CC Standards also link to a Matrix called “Global Competency”? From Page vii:

Warriors, if you are on Twitter, the UNA/US Group has an account. Use the #USAforUN. If you do not use Twitter, use their News and Publications page from the website. Below is the latest global focus in the USA:

How Did I Find The USA’s UN Association Website?

Warriors, I was able to find the UNA-US website by way of the WFUNA, which stands for World Federation of United Nations Associations. WFUNA wrapped up a winter 2018 Conference back in January. The theme?Mission Possible: International Agents of Change”. One of the key topics? Quality education for all. My fellow Warriors, education is SDG #4. (SDG is short for Sustainable Development Goal. The entire set of SDGs are UN created and US adhered to.)

The Global Citizen Forum (2013) was founded by the same man who also formed the Smart Group (1980s). The Smart Group’s tag line, “One World, One Vision” and is steeped in Technocracy. The man? BK Modi. He’s even been cited by the U.S. Congress as a Humanitarian.
To access the Smart Group website, go here.
To access the Global Citizen Forum, that’s here.

From the Global Citizen Forum, comes something truly unnerving, a Global Legal Standard. Set up to equalize people, businesses, and more.

Related Information:

If you are not exactly sure of how Technocracy factors into the CCSS Machine, please read my articles where I’ve connected the truth that the ‘innovations’ via technology mean more than a super fast Internet connection. Above (the highlighted word ‘Technocracy’) has 2 of my articles. The earliest one I wrote was in 2014.) Much of the Technocratic political platform is socialistic in nature. Just think Communism.

You can also find lots of information from a fellow Warrior, Patrick Wood of Technocracy News and Trends.

The G.C. Website (the one to the lower left of the Stevie Wonder picture):

This Global Citizen group is not to be confused with the Global Citizen Forum (above).
This G.C. group is the one which hosted a festival outside the G20.

gcusanot1
Back in February 2018, Rihanna (celebrity) was a part of the Global Citizen’s efforts to raise billions of dollars for global education for all. (Ironic that a UN led effort for global education is named “Education for All”.) The US’s 2018 contribution to G.C., $375 million dollars.

Among the Board of Directors for G.C., you’ll find the Gates Foundation, Forbes, Huffington Post, and, others. The American groups in the CCSS Machine show up here, as they have been showing up for almost everything connected to education. Oh, and G.C.’s stance on education? Educate children to lead others out of poverty.

Closing:

Warriors, I hope you have been able to glean quite a bit you didn’t know before about the depth to which the CCSS Machine has sunken to indoctrinate all of us.

Weekend News: Tangled Webs of Educratic Moves

Legislators, Politicians, and Businesses appear to be CCSS/CTE Kool-Aid Distributors!
Legislators, Politicians, and Businesses appear to be CCSS/CTE Kool-Aid Distributors!

For this first “Weekend News” of 2016, I wanted to focus in on how much CCSS (Common Core State Standards) and CTE (Career Technical Education) is still alive and thriving across the nation.
As most of you (anti CCSS Warriors) know, I reside in NC. As you can imagine, NC, like all the other States, has several legislators, politicians, and other various groups completely sold out to the educational alignment that spans from birth to career.  It has been well documented just HOW sold out NC is. I won’t bore you with the dreary details or name names. I would rather focus in on the information we can use as tools to FIGHT this continue assault on education and our citizens!

So what news do I have which has me re-visiting NC’s moves?! On January 7, 2016 (just yesterday) there was a release by the State Board of Education (SBE). This Resolution is to support the Governor’s alignment plans for a workforce based education system. Basically it is an announcement to the world that proclaims all things CCSS, Common Core State Standards is right for NC. Below is a screen shot. Please, click on it to expand it. Notice that even the fancy font and cursive letters can’t hide the selling out of our state’s education.
resoluteNC

My fellow anti CCSS Warrior, LadyLiberty1885 wrote about this Resolution as well. Embedded in her article is the direct link to the Resolution in its entirety. Please read it. Then see if your state board of education has written a similar resolution to continue your state’s assault on education! Access the article:
http://ladyliberty1885.com/2016/01/07/while-ky-lawmakers-move-to-dump-common-core-ncs-governor-tries-to-cement-it/

Here are my key points (from the Resolution) as to what we can use as tools to fight this kind of continued alignment of education.

1) Scrutinize not only your SBEs but your Depts. of Commerce as well. Remember, the Gates Foundation gave the U.S. Chamber of Commerce millions of dollars to use via the state Chambers for the express purpose of involving businesses in the educational alignment!

2) Hold accountable any legislator or politician who refuses to listen to the constituents.

3) Depending on how your State government works, investigate any Dept connected to education in any way. (see below in the instance of rural education)

4) If you do not already know this, find out: What are your State’s Workforce Development goals? How does WIOA{Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014} funding (federal to state trail) play into these goals? What portion of SBE (State Board of Education) RttT {Race to the Top} funding (federal to state trail) was used to help lay the ground work for Workforce education? (Look for Career Technical Education/Career Clusters/Career Pathways/STEM in budget line items) How far has your State come in establishing their WQDIWorkforce Quality Data Initiative (data mining job applicant’s work information)? (This information will be ‘married’ to the SLDS, Student Longitudinal Data System from the U.S. Dept. of Education to not only create a career track, streamlining jobs, but teacher and school measurements and accountability)

5) What measures has your State made for global readiness/global competitive citizens via education? What measures has your State made for CTE (Career Technical Education (which is the adult version of CCSS)? What current laws are in your State’s books which protect CTE?

6) What collaborations or partnerships has your State made in aligning education to not only CCSS or CTE, but College and Career Readiness Standards from the elementary, secondary institutions to post-secondary educational institutions (Don’t overlook proprietary {for profit} schools or on-line schools.)

7) What current legislation supports the continued use of CCR (College and Career Readiness). What legislation is being written or considered which supports the continued use of CCR (CCSS’s ‘newer name’) What evidence is your State ignoring (which has proven CCSS/CCR as developmentally inappropriate) to justify continuing this harmful education which is based illegally into law?

8) What current legislation is in your State’s Statutes which allows P3 (public-private partnerships) in education? (Be aware that the ESSA has language embedded which will allow for MORE P3 interference in education.)

9) What work-ready communities does your State have currently? (Be aware that the newly passed ESSA law has given the green light for total community alignment to College and Career Readiness, CCR.)

10) What power does your State give to LEAs (Local Educational Agents)now? What current laws protect those powers? (Know that the ESSA gives LEAs even more power than ever and that many accountability and assessment factors will now be at their discretion.)

You got lots of work to do, as do I, so use what I have provided above. Share it, there is a time for everything, and it is our time to step on the toes of those legislators, politicians, and businesses which have taken education to a level that is not only harmful, but criminal.

Monday Musings: “Global Readiness” and CCSS

NC has its first "Global Ready" School. Is your state next?!
NC has its first “Global Ready” School. Is your state next?!

Anti CCSS Warriors, another work week is upon us. Another week to fight against the agenda behind the CCSS Initiative. We know part of the agenda is NOT a true academic education, but a workforce based, globally minded, and career ready citizen who will be an economic ‘positive’. I’ve written much on the topic. Our students, regardless of the their age are being described as ‘human capital’, ‘talent supply’, and other disgusting phrases. We can now add the dishonorable ‘globally ready’ to this list, at least in NC. But are there other states already willing to sell out their schools? You bet!

NC, First is ‘Globalness’?

Where can you find out more? http://www.ncpublicschools.org/globaled/
Where can you find out more?
http://www.ncpublicschools.org/globaled/

I invite you to enlarge the above screen shot. This is no joke for NC, but it’s a foolish move for the state, nonetheless. Why? Because instead of the state receiving LESS CCSS, it is continuing to LOCK CCSS into the schools!!
Here’s a quote from the page above, “In September 2011, the North Carolina State Board of Education (SBE) formed a Task Force on Global Education to assess the state’s effort to produce “globally competitive” graduates ready to live, work, and contribute in an interconnected world.” The Task Force found 6 major goals and committed to 5 of them. What are they? I’m so glad you asked! Below you’ll find the 6 goals in plain language, not the tricky double speak so often used in CCSS supportive dribble.

1) prepare students for global readiness
2) use LEAs (Local Educational Agencies) to co-ordinate and align for global readiness
3) prepare and align teachers for global readiness
4) stress global language and culture
5)  involve as many P3 (public private partnerships) to get in the ‘global push’ as possible
6) hone a sustainable, global competitive edge in communities

The 5 commitments? Again, in plain language, not pro CCSS rhetoric!
1) embedded global themes, more PBLs (problem or project based learning), and groom teachers for more globalness, not less
2) partner with HLIs (Higher Learning Institutions) for more to increase the supply of global ready teachers
3) transform schools into ‘new schools’ with the help of non-education related entities
4) expand the ‘global ready’ push to more NC school districts
5) work directly with the NC Dept. of Commerce and other external partners

To see the pro CCSS language as the State Board of Education’s Task Force stated the 6 goals and 5 commitments: exec-summary

Okay, that’s just the summary above, but what was in the 2013 Full Report?? Read on, anti CCSS Warriors, but have a ‘barf bag’ close by, you’ll probably feel your stomach begin to revolt! Oh, and I’m leaving it in their words this time. Following each quote, I’ll provide you with a plain speak articles of HOW each of these are locking in MORE CCSS, CTE, CP, STEM, and more! {*Note: CCSS is short for Common Core State Standards; CTE is short for Career Tech Education; CP is short for Career Pathways; and STEM is short for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math}

College- and Career-Ready Standards. Like 45 other states, North Carolina is implementing the internationally-benchmarked Common Core State Standards in Mathematics and English Language Arts. In addition, unlike elsewhere, the state has also developed the new NC Essential Standards that underpins the newly developed North Carolina Standard Course of Study for all content areas.
My recent article where you can see how sold out to CCR (college/career readiness NC is and just which groups and schools are involved):
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/weekend-news-collective-workforce/

“Teacher and Principal Evaluation. Beginning in 2008, North Carolina implemented new, statewide teacher and principal evaluation instruments..”
See how principals are being encouraged to align not only traditional students to CCSS, but encompass the special needs students as well!:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/10/19/monday-musings-idea-when-good-goes-ccscte-bad/

“Longitudinal Data System. To enable greater levels of data-driven decision-making, the state has implemented a Common Education Data Analysis and Reporting System (CEDARS), which links students and staff and allows data to be analyzed across sources, such as financial systems, teacher licensure, student information, and testing.”
To see how well NC has covered its backside on mining student data and for how long it will go on in our student’s lives. I must warn you, other states are doing this as well!:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/08/27/ccss-follow-up-system-more-than-money-will-follow-your-students/

“District and School Transformation. 118 low-performing schools and 12 school districts are receiving intensive and ongoing support to dramatically increase educator effectiveness and student achievement.”
School district alignment often involves those who are employed therein. See how the CCSS Machine has its grasp on some of the nation wide groups overseeing or helping school districts!:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/10/18/weekend-news-ccss-school-officials-alignment/

“Early College High Schools. The state has 69 early college high schools in operation on community college and university campuses..”
Dual enrollment combines the last part of high school with that of the first year of college. In NC, all 58 community colleges are CCSS/CTE aligned. Most of the major universities are also helping grease the wheels of the CCSS Machine.:

What the NC Dept of Public Instruction doesn’t reveal is that NCVPS pulls in homeschoolers and other educational choices!:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/02/23/monday-musings-two-wrongs-no-right/

“Instructional Improvement System (‘Homebase’). The state is developing this online system to help educators manage student work and assessments, classroom activities, and their personal professional growth.”
What the NC Dept of Public Instruction prefers you DON’T know about “Homebase”!:

Closing:

So, I’ve shown you what’s up in NC, but what about the other states? Look for phrases like ‘globally connected’, ‘global network’, ‘future ready’, and similar. If you want more information on how many states are already connected to the GEN (Global Education Network): https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/09/17/tech-thursday-global-day-for-education/

With moves like these in our states, we know LOCKING in more CCSS/CCR/CTE is a reality, not a questioned possibility. If our leaders are saying ‘no’ to CCSS, but ‘yes’ to ANY of the above, we must hold them accountable!

FOM Friday: “Primary Source”, Friend or Foe of CCSS

Today. we'll see if PS is tied to CCSS via the Fib-o-Meter!
Today. we’ll see if PS is tied to CCSS via Fib-o-Meter!

First Up, The Fib-o-Meter:

When I first began my blog, I set aside Fridays to bust the myths surrounding Common Core wide open. Today’s entry is no different. I’m focusing the Fib-o-Meter on “Primary Source”.  I discovered this globally minded, 25 year old group from The Global Education Conference from 2014. If you’re not familiar with the Fib-o-Meter, it’s pretty straight forward, I find the facts, and see if they turn out to be ‘totally true’, ‘not sure’,  or ‘total fallacy’. To date, many ‘facts’ about CCSS have been measured. It’s tragic how many have been proven to be “Total Fallacy’, or as in this case, “Total Truth”.

It's Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what's truth, what's fallacy/fib or what's in between.
It’s Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what’s truth, what’s fallacy/fib or what’s in between.

“Primary Source”:

Website: http://www.primarysource.org/homepage ; it’s another non profit organization in America. They pride themselves on providing curriculum, learning opportunities, and other related resources to educators, particularly those who teach in history or humanities. (If we were to run this statement through the Fib-o-Meter, it would be “Total Truth”) However, as we know to be the case, IF Common Core’s involved, it’s lurking somewhere. Oh, one more truth, PS (Primary Source) helps shape what students learn.

Where’s the Core?:

Now, if you look at the PS website, nothing glares at you “Common Core”. So, is it there? After all, look at what PS does..shapes students for global life with curricula, etc. However, the website is quick to tell you how you can look up their non profit status. Through a company called “Guiding Star, Inc.”. So, off we go…Fib-o-Meter can call “Total Truth” to the fact this company does exist. It can also be trusted to snoop out the Gates Foundation Funding…another “Total Truth”! Guide Star is supposed to be a non profit information resource. Who knew Gates would be funding it! “Total Truth” is the amount spent so far by the Gates folks, tops the $3 million dollar mark. See below:

Well, here's one way data mining has proven to work.
Well, here’s one way data mining has proven to work.

If you’d like to find out HOW Guide Star, Inc. uses the data on all those non-profits (remember, several are ties to CCSS and education), visit: http://www.guidestar.org/downloadable-files/GuideStar-Exchange-Data-Fields.pdf  Who knows, this may be a great resource for those of us FIGHTING Common Core to research other non profits tied to CCSS.

Now, just because Gates has given so much to a informational service connected to “Primary Source”, doesn’t mean it’s necessarily riddled with CCSS, now does it? Well, let’s see…. When you search the PS site for CCSS, you’ll get at least 24 different resources from the group! Here’s the MOST telling one, “Looking for ways to infuse curriculum units with high-quality instructional resources and meet the demands of the federally mandated Common Core State Standards, BPS reached out to Primary Source to design lesson activities for grades 2-5 involving close readings of informational texts. Each lesson contains an age-appropriate primary source, supporting materials for teaching about the text, and student-ready text-dependent questions. In an effort to take a more practical Common Core approach to teaching history and social studies, BPS requested close reading activities that matched the standards for each grade level, and allowed teachers to lead their students through intensive text analysis involving multiple and dynamic re-readings.” {Note: BPS stands for Boston Public Schools}. Here’s another “Total Truth”, “With multiple units needed to achieve a depth and breadth of content, our curriculum design approach was two-fold: adapt what we do to meet the needs of BPS while instilling our passion for global education. BPS now has curriculum resources that meet Common Core standards, reflect the diversity of their student population, and develop students’ historical thinking skills.” To see the entire press release, http://www.primarysource.org/primary-source-crafts-common-core-curriculum

Who Governs PS?:

Between the Advisors, Board of Directors, there are at least 3 well known CCSS tied groups. Asia Society, The U.S. Dept. of Ed, Harvard University, and many others. See: http://www.primarysource.org/advisory-board

About that Global Education Conference:

The PS website was used during a presentation during the 2014 Conference. The presentation was titled, “A Strategy for Globalizing Secondary School: Global Citizenship/Competency Certificates”. Here’s the short description of the workshop lead by the top person at PS, “This session will share the practice and theory of global citizenship/competency certificates as a method to increase the reach of global education throughout a secondary school while providing opportunities for some students to obtain a certificate upon completion of certain academic coursework, service activities and travel/cross-cultural goals.” The leader? Pete Gilmartin. He loves global education (“Total Truth “. He really loves China, another “Total Truth”). In fact, he has appeared at the Asia Society’s 2012 and 2013 National Conferences. Back in 2012, it wasn’t Mr. Gilmartin leading a CCSS workshop, but the workshop, “Common Core Getting There Globally” WAS lead by 2 PS leaders. (another “Total Truth”).

Other Global Ed Conference/Common Core ties include “Cutting Through the Common Core (State Standards) Using a Global Approach” from the 2014 Conference. Here’s an excerpt that is “Total Truth”, “All across the U.S., educators are narrowly focusing in on the recently released Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  Despite the efforts of the Asia Society and other international organizations, the larger global perspective is largely being overlooked. Many educators are still unfamiliar even with the basic concept of Global Competence.   This presentation will briefly analyze the movement towards a national standards regime in the US and make a case for broadening the discussion of global education beyond PISA scores and Finnish Lessons.”

Added Bombshell (In My Opinion):

In the comments left for the above Global Ed Conference featured workshop, this was included, “Department of Education International Strategy”. So here’s an excerpt from the strategy plan (released in 2012 and expires in 2016), “The U.S. Department of Education has established its first-ever, fully articulated international strategy. The strategy is designed to simultaneously advance two strategic goals: strengthening U.S. education and advancing our nation’s international priorities. The strategy reflects the value and necessity of:
• a world-class education for all students;
• global competencies for all students;
• international benchmarking and applying lessons learned from other
countries; and
• education diplomacy and engagement with other countries.”

The U.S. Dept. of Ed's International Competence Model
The U.S. Dept. of Ed’s International Competence Model

Then there’s this, “The Global Competence Task Force, formed and led by the Council
of Chief State School Officers and the Asia Society, defined globally competent individuals as those who use their knowledge and skills to  investigate the world beyond their immediate environment, recognize their own and others’ perspectives, communicate their ideas effectively with diverse audiences, and translate their ideas into appropriate actions. In short, global competencies are “21st century skills applied to the world.””

If you don’t download another single document I’ve discovered, THIS one is THE one to grab. It is amazingly detailed about how U.S. students are being set up to be, not Americans, but ‘Globalites’. international-strategy-2012-16

Then, try this one: http://mappingthenation.net/ {another detailed look at not America’s best, but rather, a global best.}

Closing:

Well, folks, the Fib-o-Meter has done a tremendous job this Friday of exposing several truths we need to know in our fight against Common Core. Please, share this widely. Your students are counting on your voice in this dire issue. Should you still be curious, Primary Source is in fact, a devoted friend of CCSS.
