Using ‘Crisis’ To Drive Agenda

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, I do believe our current Congress has reached an all-time low with the pair of federal derived education bills, S 1421 and HR 3828.

Both are titled the Patsy T. Mink Gender Equity in Education Act. Both claim the purpose of the legislation is to protect citizens from sexual inequality. But, what if, hidden in plain sight of these 2 bills is an agenda for aligned education? The savior for protecting us? STEM (as in Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math)!!

Personal note: I am in no way advocating sexual inequality nor do I promote sexual harassment. However, if we are to have important legislation protecting our citizens could we POSSIBLY leave the UN’s (and CCSS Machine’s) STEM out of it?!

stempbl1
Make NO mistake: it has been a calculated plan for STEM and Common Core to be directly related.

The Legislation:
S 1421’s
link
HR 3828’s
link
(*Note: The Senate’s version was introduced in June 2017; the House’s in Sept. 2017. Both are in their respective Education and Labor Committees.)

The Lady:

Warriors, if you are not sure who Patsy T. Mink was, she was a very important leader from HI. She is basically the mother of Title 9. When Title 9 was much younger, it was created so that women and girls would have equal access to sports.
It’s only been in recent years that Title 9 has been reworded to NOW cover anyone who feels sexually left out of education.

Mrs. Mink was also key in President Johnson’s Great Society legislative campaign. She served twice on the U.S. House’s Education and Workforce Committee, helped begin Head Start and, so much more. (*Note: it was President Johnson who ‘gave’ us the original ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) now ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act)

Sadly, though, Warriors, Head Start has been CCSS aligned for a while. The Education and Workforce Committee is a ‘lock, stock, and, barrel’ member of the CCSS Machine.

As far as the ‘Great Society’, we see those ties are being used for much of the social justice movement, also a key part of the CCSS Machine AND UN’s SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) agenda. STEM, is a direct product to help drive education to these social justice ends.

The Language:

Warriors, the entire purpose of these twin Bills is this:
“To support educational entities in fully implementing title IX and reducing
and preventing sex discrimination in all areas of education.”
Sadly, it takes 24 pages to explain what the ‘support’ means.

On Page 2 of the Senate’s Bill version, you’ll see the National Women’s Law Center is mentioned. NWLC has helped former President Obama’s data mining pay scale initiative to get off the ground. They’ve also helped wage a major educational disparities campaign (again with the work and support of the White House).

The NWLC also has successfully forced in-depth and precisely detailed ‘student data rape’ to continue. Why? The more details the more we can level the playing field.

If the NWLC would look at the massive data mining in this way (as many of those of us in the War Vs the Core) they may realize just how serious accessing private student information is.

Did you know the NWLC also was key in getting Early Head Start and Head Start funds in ESSA? Also, those community development block grants which will fund the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Promise Neighborhoods, and, more?

These were all also mandated in ESSA.

The last NWLC item we Warriors need to know is that they are funded by some of the biggest CCSS Machine members. The truth can be seen beginning on Page 18 of their last Annual Report.

On Page 3 of S 1421, another group is mentioned: The American Association of University Women. According to AAUW’s last Annual Report,  they regularly fund STEM programs at local levels! From their website, you can find CCSS Machine corporate partners.

aauw

Warriors, how many times do we have to find out that our Congress is listening to the big bucks, not the everyday citizens?!

While S 1421 and HR 3828 are exact copies, what can we see embedded from the House’s copy?
Page 3 “STEM Pipeline” used to describe the workforce aligned shift. (Scroll back up to what this really means)
Page 4, NSF (National Science Foundation), again more CCSS Machine/UN endorsed agenda skewing the truth.
Page 4, The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network’s Report information is used as justification. The GLSEN is also heavily back by key CCSS Machine member groups (for example: Wells Fargo, the Walt Disney Company, Target, and, many others)

Corporations tied to CCSS do NOT represent the people’s voice.

More Fed Ed Power:

Warriors, the Equity Act being considered in DC hasn’t seen much action that We the People have been made aware of, but, before we assume this type of action will go away, we need to consider that any of the DC bills I’ve been studying could be rolled out anytime now..or, in the future. We’ve seen it happen way too many times in the past.

We also need to consider that embedded in BOTH bills is room for more federal funding to dictate what happens at State and local levels in education; that the Dept of Education will expand to ensure ‘equity’ is achieved. This will show up in anti-bullying, ‘safe schools’, and other ‘wrap around’ services. Every single one of these were mandated in ESSA using Title 1 funds. However, other Title funds would now be COMBINED to align learning to, not an equity-like level, but to a ‘one-way-to-learn-so-you-can-earn system’.

Related:
Back in 2016, I revealed to you the Gender Intelligence going on in education. It’s tied to Pearson Publishing, the Clinton Global Initiative, the STEM of the UN, and, more! (*Note: Mrs. Mink was also a part of President Clinton’s team.)

Closing:

Warriors, these tactics are directly taken from the UN-inspired SDG Toolkit created in the US back in the early 2000s. I’ve shared this Toolkit many times.

We need to understand that S 1241 and HR 3828 use ‘equity’. Both use ‘equality’. We’ve seen how the two are NOT the same, do not mean the same, and, should not be interchangeably used! Yet, bill after bill from the federal level continues to use double speak.
If you want to know WHY there’s an especially great level of misinformation with ‘equity’ and ‘equality’? My 2014 article will give you a fantastic place to look. (*Note: just in case the link embedded in that archive doesn’t work, here it is again.)

iNACOL Comes to Home Education?!

onlinehsccssEspecially for the anti CCSS Warriors who have chosen home education as a way to escape the CCSS Machine. If you don’t home educate, then this news can be of use to you as well in seeing just how far overreaching the P3s (public private partnerships) have become. FOM: A “New” CCS (Coalition for Community Schools)

It's Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what's truth, what's fallacy/fib or what's in between.
It’s Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what’s truth, what’s fallacy/fib or what’s in between.

The “Fib-o-Meter” is back and ready to bust open the fallacies, fibs, half truths, or whole truths about the OTHER CCS (Common Core Standards). Today’s look is into the IEL (Institute for Educational Leadership) and its CCS (Coalition for Community Schools). Is it tied to the Common Core? If so, how? Is it part  of the plan to have aligned communities like those in the ‘cradle to career’ movement of ‘Strive Together’? (*Note: ST is associated with the Chief Council of State School Officers, KnowledgeWorks, and other pro CCSS Machine members). Let’s crank up the “Meter” and see what we can find!

IEL, Institute for Educational Leadership:

Its website: http://iel.org/

If you visit their website, be sure to head directly to the “About Us” page and click on the word “Staff” to find the “Total Truths” of current or former associations with other groups each member has. You’ll find organizations like the NEP (National Education Policy), Workforce Development, education reformers, and a more than healthy dose of social justice causes. You still with me? I hope so. Let’s see what else “Fib-o-Meter” can find…

Their Board of Directors is a big dose of “Total Truth” or more like a who’s who among some of the CCSS Machine members. For example, Dr. June Atkinson (the president of the Council of Chief State School Officers as well as the NC State Superintendent for Public Schools), The IEL website only uses  her NC title as her employer. “Total Truth”? No way! (If you missed Dr. A’s presidency, see: http://www.ccsso.org/News_and_Events/Press_Releases/CCSSO_Welcomes_New_President_and_Board_of_Directors-x2650.html )
Other pro CCSS represented groups: Data Quality Campaign, Harvard University, Scholastic Books, Learning Matters, and many others. To find the entire “Total Truth” for yourselves, go to the “About Us” tab, and click on “Board of Directors”.

Well, are you ready to see what else “Fib-o-Meter” has uncovered about the Coalition  for Community School’s parent organization? I am!

The Gates Foundation has granted IEL many dollars from ‘before 2009’ to 2011. “Fib-o-Meter” found this “Total Truth” on the Gates Foundation Grants Page. You can too. See:
http://www.gatesfoundation.org/How-We-Work/Quick-Links/Grants-Database#q/k=IEL

Another “Total Truth” about IEL is that it is working to ensure key points are embedded in the HR5 (currently set to be back in front of Congress next week). Fib-o-Meter found this excerpt on the IEL’s “IEL@50” page.
“The Coalition for Community Schools at IEL is working to ensure that a set of key principles are embedded in ESEA reauthorization. The principles that we are advocating for include:

Incentives for results-driven public-private partnershipsBroadened indicators for states and districts to report on beyond achievement, including attendance, family engagement, student discipline, and health and wellness; Stronger definitions of family and community engagement and clarity about how they can contribute to student achievement and well-being; and Consultation by states and districts with a broader array of stakeholders including community partners.”

If you’d like to read the resource for yourselves:
http://coalitionforcommunityschools.blogspot.com/2015/05/esea-reauthorization-is-tough-sell-in.html

Other “Total Truths” from IEL about their CCS:
1) From the resource, “Scaling Up: The Community Schools Strategy Guide”:
“The fourth reason to scale up is that the policy environment is ripe for expanding community schools. At the federal level, the Promise Neighborhoods initiative, Race to the Top Fund, School Improvement Grants, Title I, and the Invest in Innovation Fund i3 all contain elements of the community schools strategy. P-20 Councils at the state level and in some localities also call for expanded partnerships and resource alignment. They all require a vehicle—which a community schools strategy provides—to help schools and community institutions knit their wide-ranging assets into measurable improvements.” (see the rest:
http://www.communityschools.org//resources/part_one_rationale_for_a_scaled_up_system_of_css1.aspx)
2) The Benchmarking Chart for “Community Schools”: Systems Benchmarks Chart

3) The ‘equity’ factor is ever present. You’ll especially love how data collection is key to this.

4) An IEL Framework for Community Schools: (click to enlarge the screen shot so you can see the school transformed into a community one-stop-resource for your whole family)

Ask yourselves: Where have you seen this type of model before?

Coalition for Community Schools, or one more ‘CCS’:

Have you noticed so far how many IEL resources have the Coalition’s address included? Well, does that mean Gates and the rest of the people in IEL are in CCS (the Coalition)? “Fib-o-Meter” has some information to share! The CCS’s website address: http://www.communityschools.org/

CCS funders do not include the Gates Foundation, but do have other pro CCS (Common Core Standards) supporters. See the “Total Truth” below:

  • Annie E. Casey Foundation
  • Charles Stewart Mott Foundation
  • JP Morgan Chase Foundation
  • Stuart Foundation
  • The Atlantic Philanthropies
  • W.K. Kellogg Foundation

The plan for the CCS in our communities is to use our public schools for more than education. Of course, the education has to be ‘tweaked’ to include the ‘college/career/citizen’ mantra so embedded in the Common Core way of life. See the “Total Truth” in the flyer the Coalition for Community Schools has created to help sell the ‘friendly’ services coming soon to your neighborhood. Community Schools One Pager2014

Current CCS locations? Yes, there are a few in the USA. See the picture below:

You can even enter your community's information to bring a CCS to your neighborhood via a survey.
You can even enter your community’s information to bring a CCS to your neighborhood via a survey.

To access the CCS Survey: http://www.communityschools.org/resources/community_schools_directory.aspx (scroll down to find the ‘directory’ options)

Partners for the Coalition are many and you can easily see the CCSS (Standards) ties as you read down the list. You’ll also lots of federal overreach. See: http://www.communityschools.org/about/partners.aspx

Lastly, for how to fund a Coalition Community School (and other vital anti CCSS weapons of information), be sure to access the “Coalition Publications” on the left hand side menu. You’ll find lots of “Total Fallacy” sold as “Total Truth” in these papers.

FOM: Duncan Extols Upcoming ESEA Renewal

How one might say we feel about the quality of education CCSS is delivering.
How one might say we feel about the quality of education CCSS is delivering.

Happy Friday, Anti CCSS Warriors! The “Fib-o-Meter” for today is chock full of one of the biggest fibbers in modern education. So, without further delay..I present a short video featuring Secretary Arne Duncan and Urban Leguage’s Marc Morial. The clip is about the ‘virtues’ of ESEA.

The Video:

As we’ve seen with most things concerning D.C., little transparency; the only description this video clip gives is that is was after a ‘recent event in Washington’.

The Rhetoric:

Did you notice almost immediately the emphasis the Urban League’s spokesman put on the word ‘strong’? I did. What about the statement at 17 seconds describing ESEA’s reason for being? “Accountability”, you’ve got to be joking me! Followed by ‘equity’. Educratic speak, folks!

What IS equity? We’ve been over this before, but, since it’s relevant, let’s look at ‘equity’ again. Webster’s Dictionary says it could be as many as three different definitions. The first is ‘fairness or justice in the way people are treated’. Fib-o-Meter’s got ’em on this one. “Total Fallacy”. There’s NOTING fair or just about CCSS/CTE/CCR/ESEA/NCLB! (Common Core State Standards, Career Tech Education, College/Career Readiness, Elementary and Secondary Education Act, No Child Left Behind)

However, if you look at the next definition of ‘equity’ (which is basically the value of something of worth once it’s been paid off and debts settled), Fib-o-Meter can still nail them with a “Total Fallacy”! How? Think about it. The massive debt financially is one thing when it comes to federal overreach in education, BUT, add in the P3 (public private partnership) aspect of the CCSS Machine and you’ve got an emotional debt that will NEVER be satisfied!

“This blueprint” was talked about about 28 seconds into the clip above. Yes, look at the architect! Sen. Lamar Alexander. If you’re not sure who he is, here’s some “Total Truth” about him. A former chairman of the National Govenor’s Association (as in 1/2 owner of the copyright to CCSS), former U.S. Secretary of Education (as in the head of the department which gave us SBAC and PARCC), and former chairman of the committee for Health, Education,Labor, and Pensions(as in a part of the aligned workforce agenda). For more “Total Truth”, visit this Congressional page, http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=a000360

It's Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what's truth, what's fallacy/fib or what's in between.
It’s Friday, you know what that means! Time to measure what’s truth, what’s fallacy/fib or what’s in between.

The Rhetoric Continues With….

At the 30 second mark, listen for the affirmation from the Urban League gentleman. Buzzword to listen for? “Aligned”. We’ve known how Sec. Duncan embraces aligning folks, but it sure was a bit of a surprise to hear  the UL feels the same way. Why am I not totally surprised? Maybe it’s just too much research. I’ve come to learn anytime any group or person entertains the U.S. Dept. of Ed, it usually means trouble.

Listen to Sec. Duncan at the 39 second mark for what he thinks the ESEA needs. (hint: fixing in a bipartisan way). That’s a huge “Total Fallacy”!! What the proposed HR5 needs is a stick of dynamite! What the politicians need is a dose of anti CCSS warrior education solution: ENDING the federal overreach of government! That’s a huge “Total Truth”!

Next, you’ll hear the same old song of ‘more early childhood ed’, ‘more resources for the poor’..blah, blah, blah. No, again, what we need is an END to federal overreach of the federal government. By the way, who’s the ‘we’, it certainly can’t be the U.S. Dept. of Ed, most of the tax money thrown their way has done nothing to improve education for decades! Boom! “Total Truth”! (*Note: a related resource and totally worth snagging is the Cato Institute’s “Handbook to Congress” where in reveals just how abysmal the Dept. of Ed truly is. Access it at the following website: http://object.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/serials/files/cato-handbook-policymakers/2003/9/hb108-28.pdf )

Ahh…Sec. Duncan can’t go one day with the use of the phrase ‘high standards’ or the word ‘assessment’, can he? Listen to him near the 50 second mark. Notice he shares that assessments are so THEY can know if what they are doing is right. Where I come from, if you need to be reassured you’re doing right by THAT many people (meaning those impacted by all the assessments), you most definitely shouldn’t be up to whatever it is in the first place.

Also listen for the following:

How interested in early childhood education the UL is. Having things down ‘pat’ at 3, 4, or 5 years of age..what a “Total Fallacy” that thinking is. At 3 through 5 years of age, kids are nowhere near ready for ‘pat’. They are ready for exploring, discovering, and for mercy’s sake..playing! Isn’t it interesting that neither of these gentlemen are licensed early childhood experts? Yet, they are forecasting what’s best for them? UGH!

Be sure you catch all the creative ways the different groups of citizens are described in. Wow! Talk about political correctness. UGH!

For any of us to remember when we were in school and still recall what we learned is a far cry from today’s educational drama. The “Total Truth” is modern outcome based education doesn’t work! If you’re a ‘seasoned adult’ as both the speakers appear to be, you know your teachers taught you for learning’s sake NOT some agenda’s bidding! UGH!

The combination of civil rights, opportunity, and excellence. You’ll ‘love’ how they are to be factored in education. At 2:58, the ‘be all, end all’ of the entire educational upheaval: competing in the global economy. “Total Truth”! CCSS/CTE/CCR are not about educating students; they are for grooming workers. UGH!

“Education HAS to be the great equalizer.” “Total Fallacy”!! No, it doesn’t HAVE to be, it CAN be, but it is NOT mandatory! It certainly shouldn’t even be discussed by anyone benefiting from the CCSS Machine. (about the 3:07 mark) Be sure you hear what follows, ‘increased social mobility’. Somehow, Sec. Duncan, I believe we’ve got the social mobility part of life down without the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s help, but then, I’m not the one stirring the pot of leverage either.

By 3:28 the guilt factor comes into play during this clip. It’s the ‘do it or die’ fallacy, folks. “IF we DON’T act now, we’ll be “losers” kind of attitude. UGH!

“Total Fallacy” that ‘nothing ideological’ is involved in the modern education mess of CCSS/CCR/CTE or any other crap connected to the CCSS Machine.

“We’re fighting for our kids”. Okay, Sec. Duncan, if we are to truly believe you are fighting for them, why are so many others fighting to SAVE them?! Another “Total Fallacy”!

What’s almost as bad is the statement immediately following by Mr. Morial’s mention of ‘that partnership’. We’d need an illustrated encyclopedia to review how ‘successful’ all those partners in education have been. Let’s remember it was a P3 partnership that saddled us with the CCSS Machine!

Oh, and let’s not forget all this is everyone’s responsibility. “Total Fallacy”! NO, our children are NOT everyone’s responsibility. No, education is not the government’s responsibility. Education is a privilege to be cherished and nurtured. A child is the parent or guardian’s responsibility. It is the state’s responsibility to protect the citizens AND it’s the federal government’s responsibility to see that things run smoothly.

Closing:

If you’d like to learn more about the Urban League’s view of education, see:

http://nulwb.iamempowered.com/policies/education

As far as Sec. Duncan’s view of education, I think we’ve seen enough.
