By Association

Greetings, my fellow anti Fed Ed Warriors and anti Globally Led Education Warriors!

Recently, while discussing the state of American education via 2 interviews, the topic of internationally based teaching groups surfaced. I thought it might be a great time to check up and see exactly what some of the latest moves are.
Knot-figure-of-eight-knit-clipart-etc

ICYMI:

Warriors, here are my archived articles exposing the American ties from teachers unions/groups to those of international status. With ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) being set into place, these ties are super important to keep up with. Why? The shift in American education is globally supported!

June 2017: global ‘data raping’ of our students
February 2017: AFT(American Federation of Teachers) and NEA’s (National Education Association’s) ties to EI (Education International). EI is a heavily tied group to the UN (United Nations), as well as the largest global teachers union.
March 2016: global overreach into home education

“Global rhetoric has preached for years that education is a right and therefore MUST be given. The only problem with this logic is what is mandated (or in this case a ‘must’) is also controlled.” (source)

Here’s a “New” One:

Warriors, unlike the groups to follow, this particular ‘new’ group was one I was able to tie to the Texas Bush family (as in two former presidents). Now, we’ve known for quite some time Jeb Bush (former Governor of Florida and currently leading FEE {Foundation for Excellence in Education}) has sold our nation out to the CCSS Machine (Common Core State Standards Machine), but we’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge his Dad’s  (President George Bush (1)) selling Americans out to the NWO (New World Order), which has increased the amount of global overreach in education!

His speech from 1991, second paragraph
His video clip from 1991, promising a ‘new world order’

You might be wondering how the NWO fits into American education. Take a look at the former leader of the UN, Robert Muller.

mullercore2
A former UN leader’s words from years ago.

IS it any wonder Jeb is supportive of globally led education? However, Jeb’s not the lone Bush in the CCSS Machine. I found the NAFSA: Association of International Educators (NAFSA is short for National Association of Foreign Student Advisers)

To access the NAFSA’s full biography for Mrs. Bush, go here.
If you wish to see the 2016-18 NAFSA strategy for globally aligned education in America, find the Plan here. If you’d like to learn about how NAFSA has broken American down into regions with on-going global education, be sure to check out this page.

Updates From Those Other Global-to-American Education Groups:

In no particular order, here are the updates I could find on globally led groups overreaching into American classrooms.

IREX’s TGC (Teachers Global Classrooms):
Worth over $80 million dollars, this global teachers group works in over 100 countries. Founded in 1958 as a supportive group to uphold an education co-operation between President Eisenhower (who ‘gave’ America ESEA and HEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act; Higher Education Act, respectively) and Premier Khrushchev. IREX is short for International Research & Exchanges Board. CCSS Machine member organization, Ford Foundation was among the chief funding streams and supporters of IREX. (*Note: Ford Foundation is huge in supporting the UN-led STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) as well as the CCSS’s arm, CTE (Career Tech Education). Ford Foundation has also back the American Apprenticeship Programs created by President Obama. The AAPs are CTE/STEM/CCSS aligned.) To learn more about the IREX history, read it here. To see how connected to the UN, IREX is, read the proof here.

So how ‘global’ is IREX’s TGC? Look below:

IREXgoals
How tied to America is IREX? The U.S. Dept. of State in only ONE of the US groups involved. (*Note: you’ll find the U.S. Dept. of State and other American groups in IREX’s history.) How involved in the CCSS Machine is the U.S. Dept. of State? Very much so! (*Note: look for the paragraph header “Enter the State” in the above link.) You’ll also need to look at the IREX tie to Fulbright Scholars/Teachers for more CCSS Machine ties.

CIES (Comparative and International Education Society):
This global group is a collection of scholars who focus on “schools, students, teachers and administrators, and on issues spanning early childhood and basic education to secondary and higher education, as well as non-formal education and life-long learning.”

ciesclip

This Society recently wrapped up its 2018 international conference where north and south met. (North as in USA, South as in Mexico). The topic “Re-Mapping Education”. Helping CIES was Columbia University (USA). A conference message from the 2017 CIES President was also given. The former President? A professor from Loyola University Chicago. CIES’s executive director comes from Florida International University.
Among the sponsors? Teach for All and USAID (US Agency for International Development; look for the paragraph header “USAID’s In It, Too”), big CCSS Machine member organizations. (*Note: you’ll find all this type of information in the embedded program link above.)

To access the Universal Basic Education 2011 pdf, go here.

Nothing beats a trained mind, right?

GAML (Global Alliance to Monitor Learning):
This Alliance is completely dedicated to adhering to AND bringing to fruition the SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) #4: Global Education for All. How? It’s an arm of the UN, itself! Their latest information dates to late 2017. Access all the alignment here. If you’d like to see the latest information on how well global education (via assessments) is progressing, you’ll want to see and read the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) document using ‘social moderation’ and assessments. (*Note: from what I was able to glean, ‘social moderation’ is tied to competency and/or proficiency.)

GAMLuisreport

If you’d like to see the UIS’s planned use for ‘student data rape’ information, read this.

EI (Education International):
Warriors
, this is the organization I told you about which the NEA (National Education Association) and the AFT (American Federation for Teachers) have joined to support the global shift in education from real academics to workforce training.

(*Note: Both Unions were congratulated by Sen. Lamar Alexander as being key ‘players’ in getting ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act, passed into law. ESSA is full of workforce training mandates/assessments in proficiency and CBE.)

Global Education Symposium (GES):
Warriors
, just take a look at the obviousness of UN’s STEM presence:

GESSTEM

Among the GES Global Partners you’ll find mental health groups, teacher development, and, more. Find out more, please! Among the US Universities which will be represented are FSU (Florida State University)and Brigham Young University (BYU).
You’ll also find Teach for All’s participation.

Closing:

Okay, my followers and fellow Warriors, there you have it. The march toward globally united education is narrowing its circle around us. How much more will we take as Americans before we strike back and remove ourselves, especially our children from this assimilation to global competency when Americans could be so MUCH more?!

Please note, these groups are NOT the only globally aligned ones we should be watching. Just as we should note that our current Trump led Administration is not aiding us in stopping this tidal wave of educational doom.

First of Its Kind

Warriors Against Fed Ed, Common Core, and, Global Education’s takeover in America, we find ourselves approaching the end of June 2017. As I said earlier in the year, summer would not be a time the CCSS Machine would slow down its continual grinding down of education.

To that end, a CCSS/Global Ed laced Conference is just getting started. It’s the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) 2017 Conference. It’s meeting in Texas. Late Sunday afternoon, #ISTE and #GlobalEd17 were trending topics on Twitter.
The proganda was digusting. The painted on smiles of those attending and leading were deceiving.  Be sure to check all the latest ‘news’ out.

As I also stated earlier in the year, the summer is the ideal time for us Warriors to continue to arm ourselves with information to be ready for action when the new school year begins. The War Vs. the Core is NOT over, not by a long stretch.

Briefly, ISTE’s Connection To Global Education:

Warriors, back in 2015, I shared with you, an article titled “Tech Thursday: Global Day for Education”. It was the first time I’d run across ISTE. Quickly, just think “Microsoft” (and we know who THAT leads us to). Microsoft is the main sponsor of ISTE. Does it align the standards for technology in the classrooms to the dreaded CCSS (Common Core State Standards)? Absolutely. Does the ISTE apply its alignment to the re-branded names of CCSS, certainly! Where there’s international data, there’s got to be international data mining. That too, has an annual conference. Here’s an article where you can see the plethora of workshops devoted to harvesting education information.

Because technology is global, we know data created by technology is also global. However, the connections to global education and technology, which are very disturbing, (CCSS Machine propaganda uses ‘disruptive’) are the cultural mindset shifts hiding behind all those neat sounding apps and computer programs.

For example, from the article I’ve linked above, is a screen shot (below) where you ‘ll see the ‘global’ pledge. This pledge is used by all kinds of education related groups.

hardagon
With international technology comes the need for global education days. At least that’s what Harvard University and the others involved in the Global Education Conference Network believe. You can find out more about the Network in the article I’ve linked you to to learn more about the ISTE. You’ll also see how the AFT (American Federation of Teachers) is connected. (*Note: both the NEA (National Education Association and AFT) have ‘bought’ into the Education International, an organization with ties to UNESCO (you know, an arm of the United Nations. UNESCO is also known for it’s “Education for All” Program.) You can find out more about this, here.

Related: One of my most in-depth global education articles can be accessed here. It is from earlier this year and jam packed with information you can use to ready yourselves for the 2017-18 school year. (*Note: global education is present in all educaiton choices and will continue to seek out ways in which to lessen those choices until there is no choice at all. ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act, is a great example for reducing school choices, not increasing them.)

ISTE 2017 and Global2017:

Warriors, since the ISTE Conference is technology based, you know the latest and most aligned resources will be available to you, even if you can’t make it to TX. Here’s the schedule, with embedded links
Wait, is there a separate Global Ed 2017 Conference at the same location?
From what I can find, no; the global education is part of the ISTE Conference. How? The location is the same.  See below:

isteglobal17

Warriors, you can sign up for free to access all the Global Education Network resources (you’ll want to see the Google classroom items, the lists of global organizations, the resources and those who’ve written them (I saw Steve Hardagon’s name pop up).

How to access all this? Visit this website, click on ‘visit’. Sign in (you can use your Facebook, Google Plus, or email if you don’t have an Iparticipate i.d.) Notice at the bottom of the page, that the P21, Inc (Partnership for 21st Century Skills) is a sponsor.
Access this list of global education organizations and people on Twitter. Even if you do no ‘tweet’ you can still find out about this CCSS Machine global members.

Why access all this? After all, it’s from the CCSS Machine. Warriors, if we are to be armed with the latest information, especially when it comes to technology and data mining, we must ‘hang out’ among the creators. Since so many of our schools are leaving parents, grandparents, and taxpayers in the dark, any advantage we can gain by seeing what the CCSS Machine is doing, is needed.

First Isn’t Always Best:

So far, Warriors, I’ve not said anything which relates to the title of this article. What is ‘first of its kind’? In the push for global technology, these two examples I want to leave you with. Ask yourselves, is this being planned for my school district? Is this where my tax dollars are going? Am I okay with the continued misuse of money to not educate students, but, to indoctrinate them?

Digital Portfolios may NOT be brand new, but a school district in AL is featured among the ISTE resources (and global education) for its first of its kind update. What’s the update? “Whole Story for the Whole Child”. This is about 30 minutes of video.

By giving the students a computer, showing them how to use it to lay out their lives, this portfolio COULD be used for other purposes. Such as, at the 3:25 mark (or just after it) a high school teacher reveals just ONE of the ‘other’ purposes: a track to see where each student needs to round themselves out for “college and career readiness”! (If you are new to the War vs Common Core, ‘College and Career Ready” is a re-branded name for the same thing.)

You’ll also have the person in charge of the federal funding for this AL school district explain how to start digital portfolios in your area. She will tell you that as school leaders implementing this you’ll WANT to look into each student’s personal life as well as their academic ‘lives’. Watch for the grade levels involved and the end result. (hint: by the times the students get to colleges, not enough is known about them)
Here is the website’s banner from the school district featured:

Warriors, so much of global education and technolgy involves STEM (Science, Engineering, and Math), but they also include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math).

Both STEM and STEAM are not American. STEM is the marketing name dreamed up by the NSF (National Science Foundation) to incorporate the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. STEM and CCSS go hand in hand. STEM was introduced about the time the CCSS was rolled out. Common Core was the distraction; STEM was the real agenda for education. It’s all been researched and documented.  As far as STEAM, it too, is not American. It’s roots are from South Korea and brought to the US. If you’ve missed these facts, please find them here.

This leads me to another ‘first of its kind’ and in the nation. This time we’ll find it in TN.

dailysteam

Full article  (*Note: this was back in 2016). Warriors, notice the underlined portions of this published article. K-12 grades; Arts Innovation Zone, PBL(Project Based Learning) daily on STEAM. Do we have any idea how one-dimensional this is going to be for our littlest ones? Sure, the CCSS Machine talks it up that all kinds of engaging education will happen with STEAM, but every day?! True education honors that while engaging needs to happen, so does some down-time. So what’s happened to this one-of-a-kind school since 2016? A big dollar donation from a private company to go to a public school; the hope that those big bucks will prove STEAM can work for both inner city schools and rural schools. See the article here.

Closing:

Warriors, the bottom line to all the ISTE/global ed dribble is this:
“Learning without limits” will get us farther in education than ever before. Yeah, right…

Calling Mother!

Anti Fed Ed/CCSS Warriors, have you heard of “International Mother Language Day”?!

If not, here is what we really need to know:

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) established this annual awareness day back in 1999. The goal is to promote ‘linguistic diversity and multilingualism’.

Our current Congress has a Resolution setting Feb. 21st aside for “International Mother Language Day”. It is House Resolution 141.  It was introduced on 2/16/17 and is currently in the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

From the text, an excerpt, “Whereas according to the UNESCO Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger, out of the over 6,000 existing languages in the world, more than 200 have become extinct during the last three generations, and 2,279 other languages are classified as “endangered”; Whereas the United States Census Bureau has identified at least 381 languages spoken in the United States, 169 of which are distinct Native American languages; Whereas according to the UNESCO Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger, 145 languages in the United States are classified as “endangered”. “

The Resolution goes on to tell us the House of Representatives supports the goals and ideals of “International Mother Language Day”.

So, why is our Congress creating these types of actions? Look below at the screen shot for what could be the exact answer we’ve been searching for, Warriors!

eiunesco
The screen shot is from a 20 page brochure published by the EI (Education International). EI is a global organization with strong ties to UNESCO. It also is the largest global teachers union. The United States of America’s  NEA and AFT are members of EI. Access the document here. ei2016_sdgs_brochure_final_facing_en

From the language in Point #1, it appears our Congress members are puppets in a global theatre of education reform. From the language of House Resolution 141, it appears full support is backing up Point #1, as well.

Warriors, did you notice Resolution 141 from the U.S. House of Representatives is in the Committee where Government Reform is happening? Does this Committee have any influence on education? If so, how does all this tie back to the CCSS Machine? Will this point back to ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) , or,  the HEA (Higher Education Act)?

Committe on Oversight and Government Reform:

The website: https://oversight.house.gov/subcommittee/full-committee/

What they do: Basically (after a quick glance at the latest Committee Rules, 2015), the Committee makes sure the federal government and all its agencies and activities  run smoothly. There are several subcomittees of the overall Committee. While I did not see the Dept. of Education specifically mentioned, it is included by default.

The Oversight/Government Reform Committee also makes sure the federal laws are carried out without too much fuss and bother. Some of the agencies the Dept. of Education works with ARE specifically mentioned in the Committee Rules.

I did also see the Committee has quite a bit of interaction pertaining to what happens digitally (technological), across America. Warriors, with the shift to a global education comes ‘connectivity’. Connectivity is a direct issue in education reform. ESSA has massive amounts of funding earmarked for all students being connected through the internet for digital access to anywhere, anytime learning.

We Have Our Answers!

Above, I asked if all this somehow tied back to the CCSS Machine and/or the federal education/workforce laws.

Included in the Oversight/Reform Committee are Task Forces. One such Force is called the
“Task Force to Build a Better America”. On the website page, you’ll see Rep. Paul Ryan displaying his bold agenda called “Better Way”. Included in Better Way is education, mainly through Career Tech Education (CTE). CTE is what I have referred to as ‘adult Common Core’ for years. CTE IS the arm of Common Core which streamlines education to a workforce result.
CTE is embedded in all 3 federal laws I mentioned above. (WIOA, HEA, and ESSA)
CTE ties many federal agencies to the CCSS Machine, as well. For example, The U.S. Dept. of Education, U.S. Dept. of Labor, U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, the State Dept., and more!

So, we’ve answered the questions about the ties, but what about International Mother?

A ‘Global Mama’ For Us All:

imld

Above is the announcement for the Day. A symposium for International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is to be held in France. IMLD’s official website reveals this quote, “On the occasion of this Day, I launch an appeal for the potential of multilingual education to be acknowledged everywhere, in education and administrative systems, in cultural expressions and the media, cyberspace and trade.”  Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General

Warriors, if you have no idea how the UNESCO Director-General is tied to Communism, please refer to my friend and anti CCSS Warrior Journalist, Alex Newman’s article for New American News Magazine. Alex also followed up on how the UNESCO is overshadowing America when it comes to textbooks. The Global Education Monitoring Report Alex featured in the textbook article is mentioned below in another Report by UNESCO.

Don’t Forget the IB Schools Are UNESCO’s!

Warriors, if you have been reading my blog for a long time, you know how I’ve tied the International Baccalaureate Schools to UNESCO and the global agenda for education. You also may recall I was able to find in ESSA how IB Schools are included in the mandates.

Below is a screen shot from the IB’s Common Core English Language Arts document for dual language learning.

ibccssela

You can find the IB Schools in ESSA. Also, keep in mind many of ESSA’s pages are devoted to English Language Learners. You can find both of these groups in my previous article.

Closing:

So, Warriors, who decides what the International Language is to be? Will it be up to any of us who have the biggest ‘stake’ in the educational realm (parents)? So far, those types of decisions have been taken away from us. Will it be our federal government which is creating UNESCO supportive legislation? Or, will we soon see our government usurped by the United Nations and thus have UNESCO dictate our schools?
