Educratic Semantics: “Competence”

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, in my last article, I showed you the at least 20 year old movement to ‘expand time’ in the name of ‘education’. If you read that article, you saw that the goal wasn’t a true academic advancement of oneself, it was more about a student/worker hurried up and churned out as a ‘competent’ skill based apprenticeship leading to a job.

However, what if I showed you, there’s a much more devious plan afoot?

Warriors, we once experienced history where Germany attempted to ‘rule the roost’. If you’re like me, you weren’t born then, so you didn’t live through those horrors.

Immediately after World War II, America was one of the 4 countries in control of the restructure. Many years later, the changes which were made, showed through in education. How? By way of the economic structure, the corporate structure, and, the government structure changes.

Yes, the US was involved in the German restructure by pushing for ‘democracy’. Since America’s a republic (by our Constitution), I wonder what would be different today, had the push been for a ‘republic’.

So, imagine, that in 2019, in America, some of those very Germanic restructured roots showed up. What would you do? What has OUR government done? What has OUR economy done for education? What has OUR corporate structure accomplished?

Enter the Word Game surrounding “Competence”:

Warriors, if you’re like me, every time you hear certain words, you cringe. Especially when you research items. You may also be like me, and see the larger picture looming in the background because you’ve seen so much. Case in point, “Competence”.

My fellow Warriors, you know how I’ve shown you, over the years, the word games used against us. I’m not assuming every educrat in DC or your State knows the watered down English version of ‘competency’; but knowing it has more to do with other things than true academics, do you see how it’s been used to further the agenda?!

Look at it this way, ‘CBE, competency based education’: NOT ‘expert’ based education or ‘skill’ based, BUT ‘legally controlled and authoritatively carried out’ education!! 

English speaking countries may mean ‘skill based’, but NOT “expert based” or ‘legally/authority based’.
But, if the educrats did mean one version, and, assume you and I believe the other, then it’s the Latin meaning of ‘clashing’.

It’s also a ‘classic set up’, we’ve seen the CCSS Machine used repeatedly, you look one way, while I undermine the other way.

So why, in the context of ‘competent’, would the German version be more accepted and in 2019?

****Because it is the closest to align with the UNESCO/OECD* plan for authoritatively controlled workforce based training NOT academic prowess!!****

Warriors, why would it matter what the German usage and meaning of ‘competence’ really stands for? Because when it’s accepted as their nation sees it, it’s about a collective reflection of education interests of the society….not each student.

This is an approach DC has been taking for years. Especially since the Johnson Administration straight through to the Trump team.

Vocational Education:

Warriors, Germany still calls education which trains you for a job or a trade as vocational education. Americans called it ‘vo tech’.

Some Americans, to this day, believe ‘vo tech’ is not only still an option, but should be taught. In 2006, that term ‘died’ and was replaced. (Yes, Warriors, another word game.)

That’s when our US government changed what the definition of ‘vocational education’ was. The ‘training’ portion was also redefined. How? The government funding!
However, even the CCSS Machine still uses ‘vo tech’ in America to confuse us!

A German Commissioned Study:

Warriors, I found this undated (appears to be very recent, though) commissioned study by Bertelsmann Stiftung (an education based social change group. They heavily support a ‘school to work’* concept.) But, it’s WHERE I found it, you will be interested in. The American “National Career Pathways Network” website.

The German Study features an ‘expert’ from Germany who is considered the ‘go to’ guy on vocational tech training. His name is Professor Dr. Dieter Euler. He’s known across the world as the specialist for reforming vocational tech systems.

Some Of  The Study’s Points:

Warriors, I’ll share some of the most troubling points from the Study. I trust you can see the ways in which our nation, our government, and, our corporate overreaches have set the same shift up in American education. I encourage you to read the Study on your own.

1) The shift to work based learning (also called dual enrollment) should be the main focus of vocational tech/training. The main target? Citizens under 25 years old. (Page 14 has a brief history of combining education and work.)

2) Many countries are looking at the success of Germany’s system because it’s been spun as a ‘win/win’. Students get fast tracked education, employers get trained workers.

3) America’s not as developed in dual vocational tech, yet. But, the shift is being increased with ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and its embedding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), and HEA (Higher Education Act).

HEA is currently the last national US law to receive the ‘school to work’ makeover. Congress is dead set on increasing  the German based concepts. How? Increased CTE (Career Tech Education), which replaced ‘vo tech’, increasing apprenticeships and internships, increasing dual enrollment, and anything connecting them all.

4) The 11 Vo-Tech Reform Components can best be accomplished in ‘incremented innovation’ programs and learning. The shift in education and work training is also metered out in ‘incremented segments’.

5) Other concerns include which government or business group is in charge of  exams for certificates and degrees. In Germany it is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts. You’ll find this laid out in Germany’s 2005 Vocational Tech Training Act (Sect. 1, Paragraph 3); Austria’s 2006 Vocational Tech Training Act modulized certain jobs (meaning the selected jobs were taught and trained for in modules, or fast tracked pathways).

Switzerland’s cantons are in charge of all vocational based exams. (In America, we are divided into States, Swiss has cantons.) Cantons have their own government set-up, but they cannot contradict the federal confederation.

In the Netherlands, they are receiving lots of global attention in vo-tech education. Why? Their 1996 Adult and Vocational Technical Training Act * merged education and labor into 2 training tracks. One was/is school based, the other is dual workforce training (or vocational tech training). *See Point 2.4. Notice the regional vo-tech training centers.

All the countries mentioned above are using national credentialing systems. Why? The ‘big essential’ is ‘real life conditions’ can best be experienced in dual vo-tech training, not necessarily education (you’ll see that referenced on Page 30.)

Not from the German Study, but definitely related is the 2012 “Roadmap to Vocational Education and Training (VET) Systems Around the World.

Warriors, every ONE  of these are things are either already in place in America, or the framework is being laid out!! How? College and Career Readiness via ESSA, WIOA, HEA, and more!

Study Warning Bells For Us:

1) By government and business ‘rule’ a ‘consensus principle’ will be put in place.
2) By government and business funding, education and training, especially for jobs will be ‘easier’. But at what cost of our freedoms will this be?
3) “Industry specific solidarity contributions”. What will these look like? Grants for apprenticeships!
4) A merger of economics, family, and youth via integrative vocational training (Norway has had this since the mid 90s).
5) A ‘flexible’ vocational education/training track for disadvantaged citizens.
6) “Quality standards” for vocational tech training and education mean laws, not scopes and sequences we’re used to.
7) Teachers and Trainers will have government controlled ‘hoops to jump through’. Their section begins on Page 52. Look for the “Ordinance on Trainer Aptitude”. Then, read what the UN (United Nations) has on this.
8) Class size changes will occur. Being done away with are the large, teacher led classes. What the shift to vo-tech training will produce (already in use in Denmark) is small ‘hubs’ or groups. These groups will spend 5 weeks at a time on one module, then switch to another. A large ‘completion logbook’ is kept on each person. This is their version of ‘personalized learning’.
9) Expect more ‘education research groups’ and ‘vocational analysis’. Germany’s model has been deemed so successful because all the reform is based off ‘in-depth’ research.

Professor Dr. Dieter Euler:

I was curious as to what other reforms this German ‘expert’ has been a part of.
Here’s what I found:
A) From 2006, A Swiss paper on ‘E-Learning’. A mandate for vocational training/education to be including in the SVC (Swiss Virtual Campus).
B) From 2010, Euler’s paper on developing and transitioning vocational technical training and demographics. He predicted a labor shortage by 2025. Below is the screen shot for the 2013 Journal/Report in appeared in.

C) In this undated McMillian Publishing proof, Euler was a contributor. So was the Aspen Institute. Euler’s topic was ‘Reflective Executives: A Realistic Goal for Modern Management Education’. A brief summary (Page 11) of Euler’s work reveals that ‘management education’ is more of a control tool, than it sounds.
Aspen Institute wrote on 2 different topics. One was on business and its relation to social and environmental issues, the other, “A Closer Look at Business Education: Sustainability in Curriculum”. This book was written exclusively for an audience of humanism followers. Warriors, it’s important to note that much of the UN’s overreach into education is rooted in humanism.

D) From 2013, The Routledge Companion to International Management Education had Euler write on “Reflective Leadership: A Vision for International Management Education”. As you can see (below) ‘international management education’ is tied to the UN’s design via the GRLI (Globally Responsible  Leadership Initiative). This screen shot is a bit hard to see, so be sure to go to the link above and read it there. When you read the GRLI and related information, you’ll see international managed education is NOT about training or educating people for managerial employment, it’s about controlling education altogether!

Closing:

Warriors, with the process for the HEA heating up before Sen. Lamar Alexander retires, we have got to inform our representatives and senators about what they are supporting and trying to further. We are America, not Germany 2.0!  We are free Americans, not UN led-by-the-nose citizens!

With all that you’ve learned in this article about the words being used against us, you know the UN/UNESCO/GRLI attempts to fast track apprenticeships (like Citizen Schools and the German model) will be lumped in under ‘lobbyists’ and ‘special interests’.

A Shiny New Coat

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, we all know the story of the “Emperor’s New Clothes”, right?
Basic themes in the story are vanity, money, and deception.

Those same basic themes can pretty much sum up the educratic shift in our classrooms across the globe. Here in America, we’ve definitely seen the greed and deception take our academics away and replace it with workforce training.

So, what happens when you take a CCSS Machine member group like IBM, attach a shiny new coat of deception to education and add it to a notoriously bad on-line school?

The “New Collar” Is Still A Servant’s Collar:

Warriors, IBM’s CEO, back in 2016, came up with a new phrase for the same old CCSS Machine alignment: “new collar jobs”. Below is her opinion column in USA Today:

Part of the CEO’s plan for ‘new collar jobs’? P-Tech Schools (I exposed them years ago). These schools are 6 year high schools which focus on industry skills at a ‘community college’ level.

Community colleges have been called ‘Camelot’ (by the CCSS Machine) for their access to all school choices intersecting and the ability to carry on (or introduce) CTE, Career Tech Education, CCs (Career Clusters), CPs (Career Pathways), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math), dual enrollment, and, concurrent enrollment.

IBM, late 2018, announced that Ireland became the first country outside of the US, to adopt P-Tech. Notice how IBM is taking credit, as well as using ‘local educators’ as the creators.

Warriors, IBM’s CEO is an appointed member of the new National Council for the American Worker (aka: National Workforce Council), here in the US.

K-12, Inc., A Long Time CCSS  Machine Member Group:

Warriors, back in 2015, I showed you how K-12, Inc. was in the CCSS Machine, as well as in co-operation with the NASBE (National Association for State Boards of Education). If you followed me back then, you also know I shared with you the struggle NC (where I live) had with keeping K-12, Inc’s. terrible track record out of the State, only to allow it in the end, as a school choice. Then, there was the overreach by K-12, Inc. into homeschooling. If you read their recent “Student Impact” report, you’ll see lots of hype about increased student engagement.

So, with such an awful past, why is K-12, Inc. still in the ‘education’ business? Look below for one reason why:

The goal for K-12, Inc. NOW, is to be a part of building a national career readiness infrastructure. One of the ways this will happen, is ‘the right education’, not “more education”.

How will the K-12, Inc. folks know they’ve helped close the ‘skills gap’ (another CCSS Machine fallacy)? By sending “K-12 powered” students into the workforce.

As far as the partnerships K-12, Inc. is building to have all the career readiness infrastructure take off? A direct quote, “To do this, we are aligning with higher education institutions, school districts, and industry partners to offer career training. We are working to pair this training with summer jobs, externships*, paid internships, drop-in training, and part-time and full-time employment opportunities.”
(*Note: ‘externship’ is a temporary training period.)
Be sure to notice which ‘top companies’ K-12, Inc. mentions to work for in the article linked above.

In that article, Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce was cited. I showed you last year (2018) how Georgetown was assaulting real education with quasi-education.

The Report the Center on Ed/Workforce has published (which K-12, Inc. is basing their infrastructure plan off of) doesn’t state ‘Hey, we’ve got a few suggestions.’ It clearly states their findings are ‘requirements’. Among those ‘requirements’? STEM jobs!

Warriors, below is WHY Georgetown University is so biased about an educated workforce:

If you cannot read the print, Lumina Foundation, Joyce Foundation, and, the Gates Foundation are the main funders of the Georgetown Center on Education for the Workforce.

So, if you’re going to change the national infrastructure to career readiness, these are a few of the groups which will be involved.

The Career Readiness Partner Council:

Warriors, if you’ve not heard of this Council, it’s been around since 2012. Housed in the Advance CTE National Association (a huge CCSS Machine group). The list of Council members is long. You’ll see all of them are CCSS Machine members, too.

CEP (Center for Education Policy):

Warriors, this CCSS Machine member group has published many CCR (College/Career Readiness) documents. Most are geared for one goal: 21st competency skills graduates.

JFF (Jobs for the Future):

Warriors, be sure to look at their “Opportunity Works” program for workforce readiness.

National Informal STEM Network:

Warriors, this Arizona State University and Univ. of MN backed on-line group, have all sorts of STEM activities (which are CCR dressed as fun)

CCREC (College and Career Readiness Evaluation Consortium):

Warriors, this group works with certain States and those States GEAR UP grants.
GEAR UP
is a federal program which is 100% workforce based. It uses STEM, CCR, CCSS, and, CTE. The Consortium also partners with Act, Inc. and is a heavy student data collector.

NCPN (National Career Pathways Network):

Warriors, be sure to read their “Items of Interest” section. You’ll see CTE and STEM promoted. You’ll also see the IBM ‘open collar’ article. You’ll want to read about the German based ‘vocational dual training system’, too. (*Note: among the top items of the German study, are economic goals, social goals, and, personal goals.)

Warriors, don’t forget to change an infrastructure you have to have legislation. So Congress is an obvious CCSS Machine group to watch in all this.

Don’t forget, all the job websites (like Monster and Indeed, etc.) will have career readiness or career assessments. Our federal government gives States grants for One-Stop Job/Employment Centers. These will be huge CCR locations.

Closing:

Warriors, the last place we will need to watch for ‘infrastructure’ changes in education is the HEA (Higher Education Act) as it is readied to become re-authorized. I have shown you over the years, how the HEA is the last link in the cradle to grave workforce education chain. Career Readiness will be a huge part of the new version.

Believe me, the educratic emperors will be strutting all over the nation with THAT shiny new coat of deception.

NC’s Brain Freeze

My fellow Warriors, sometimes in research for educratic BS (or related ties), you find something so ridiculous, it’s hard to pass it up.

Warriors, believe it or not, NC (the State where I reside) sends out a weekly email with the week in review for education bills in our General Assembly. So imagine my surprise when I see NC HB 30.

The purpose? To declare an official State Frozen Treat.

My friends, how woeful it seems; all this time, the taxpayers have been denied an OFFICIAL dessert of a frozen variety.

Go ahead, laugh. I certainly did. All the things which need legislation AND this comes up in education related business? Let’s see what we can find hiding in the freezer….

First, A Fun Fact:

Did you know July is National Ice Cream month? The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) established that and President Reagan declared it back in 1984. We’ll come back for a second scoop on information about IDFA in a bit.

NC Has A ‘Problem’?

Warriors, Rep. Torbett is a 5 term Representative. According to VoteSmart, his campaign funding can be tied to a few CCSS Machine member groups in NC. The NC Chamber of Commerce, Wells Fargo, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, American Airlines, General Motors, and, Duke Energy name just a few.

Ironically the NC Dental Association also helped fund Rep. Torbett’s last campaign. I’m truly hoping the NC dentists will be ready for all those brain frozen patients when it comes time for filling cavities. (The NC Dental Assoc. is part of the American Dental Assoc. which has evidence that ice cream alone adds 6.5% more sugar to your diet and therefore can cause tooth decay.)

If you look at the Committee assignments for Mr. Torbett you’ll not see any farmers or dairy councils. He is the Vice Chair for the NC House Appropriations, though. 

Warriors, before we go further back in the ‘freezer’, go back and look at HB 30’s text.

Ice cream contributes $39 billion to the US economy but only employs roughly 200,000 people? Somebody’s sure ‘double dipping’. (Gee, could it be a brain freeze AND Common Core math-itis?)

Back in 1991, the NC Dept. of Ag/Consumer Services inducted Mr. Kilgore into the NC Agricultural Hall of Fame. Look at the amount of money one ice creamery made.

Second Scoop, IDFA:

Warriors, if you are wondering where Rep. Torbett got the $39 billion figure, it is right off the IDFA’s website for National Dairy Month. So here’s a question, since this is a State specific bill WHY the national figures?

Why not use the NC economic figures and job numbers? By the way, if you want local dairy economic figures and jobs created, the IDFA has a mobile app you can use.

, be sure to look at the IDFA’s ‘issues’. You’ll see bioengineered food, NAFTA (which can be tied back to WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), the (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) STEM Act of 2015, HEA (Higher Education Act), and ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), and a few more ‘sprinkles’.

If you look at a recent IDFA Press Release you’ll see an international sweetener conference was held in FL. Among the topics: the US-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) Trade Agreement. This will also tie back to ESSA and its aligned workforce education track. If you didn’t know it the USMCA replaced NAFTA.

Warriors, just yesterday, I exposed a huge UN-led grab via STEM for our farmers. One of the biggest connectors was the FAO of the UN (Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN). Now, take into consideration that not only are the farmers getting the indoctrination, the students in schools are. Most especially that going vegan will cut down climate change.

How can you go vegan when you’re eating ice cream made from cow’s milk?! How will States like NC, agriculture based, have a thriving economy or all those jobs, if you wipe out dairy and livestock?

What do you do with the cows? Tax the farmers on the cow’s methane like CA?! In 2016, Gov. Jerry Brown certainly sold the ‘global warming’ via tooting cows. In late 2018, the regulations took place state-wide.
Sadly, this is a grab to mandate what farmers feed their cows. How about this, just good ole plain grass. It’s how God made them have the capability to produce milk.

No telling how long it will be before idiotic legislation like this comes to NC, after all, there are plenty of cows here, too!
Also, think about it, since taxing folks with gassy bovines has begun, what about those who eat dairy products and produce similar results?

I can tell you that NC has a methane recapture program going to help create renewable energy. 

The Cherry On Top For NC:

Warriors, why would a seemingly silly bill about declaring ice cream as the official NC frozen treat lead us down so many twists and turns? Because, as we’ve learned time and time again, the CCSS  Machine will take the simplest joys in education and dumb them down, while gushing how ‘sweet it is’.

So, what’s the real ‘cherry on top’ for NC via HB 30? It’s not the endorsement of good times or summer fun, it’s helping set up a dairy assembly line of worker drones for NC jobs and the NC/national economy.

Look at what NC’s got in its Career Clusters for CTE (Career Tech Education):

Warriors, if you’ve not seen the 2018 Career Clusters Guide, look at NC’s. It’s broken down over 120 pages and has a one-track-so-you-can-learn-to-earn system.

**Look at the ‘school choices’ involved in Career Clusters! This is further proof ‘choice’ is a fallacy of what’s learned in schools. It’s all the same for the same results!**

So, why did Rep. Torbett sponsor such a frivolous bill as HB 30? I’ve no proof of ‘why’, but I can show you why I believe he did:

Closing:

Warriors, there you have it, one sour dish of alignment. When will our legislators skip the ‘sweet’ deceptions of globalism and bring America back? As you can see it is absolutely fruitless to say it’s all one major political party’s mess.

So, now we can all see why little ole HB 30 was in an educational email.
How many of us want to bet the only connection most folks make between ice cream and education is that the school cafeteria may serve it for dessert.

ISO (In Search Of)

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, As we’ve known for a while now, the HEA (Higher Education Act) is up for a re-authorization. Frankly, it’s been up for a total re-authorization since 2008, the last time it was recycled. Since 2008, the HEA has been renewed. Meaning the funding to keep HEA has been updated.

With the updates in funds between then and now, little changes have been made here and there to keep up with the embedded unity between HEA, ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), STEM Act of 2015 (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and all that connects this ‘unholy quad’ of federal overreach.

Warriors, we’ve also heard several times since the CCSS Machine first started grinding away, that HEA is the last link in the chain to mandate (from the feds, down) workforce based education from cradle to grave. We also know Sen. Lamar Alexander swore as soon as ESSA passed into law (late 2015) that HEA was next on his radar.

The 115th Congressional Session did come very close to passing a new version of the HEA, both versions were stuck in their respective Committees and expired when the 116th Congressional Session was sworn in.

Both the PROSPER Bill (HR 4508 called Promoting Real Opportunity, Success, and Prosperity through Education Reform) and S 615, HIEA (Higher Innovation Education Act) have been laid to rest..so far.

It’s been said that before Sen. Alexander retired HEA would be be passed. He retires in 2020.

Rep. Virginia Foxx’s office, HR 4508 will not be coming back in that same form. When I asked if Rep. Foxx had plans of re-introducing it (since it was ‘her’ bill in the first place), I got told there was no news on that. If there was, I’d get a letter, as in a ‘snail mail’ letter.

In the Senate, no mention whatsoever of S 615 can be seen from the current Session. So, we’ll have to wait, right? Not so fast, Warriors! (*Note: If you have an leads on re-introductions of these massive bills, please, share them! Thank you)

While I haven’t found current legislation to re-authorize the ENTIRE HEA, I have found several bills which AMEND it.

There are several, and we’re just in the first part of the 116th’s Session.

HR 792 (Opportunities for Success) will amend the HEA’s Section 441. That section focuses on federal work study programs as well as complete ‘other purposes’. (*Note: as we’ve learned together, ‘other purposes’ is a phrase DC uses to cover their backsides when hiding things they don’t want us to discover.) Staring at $1.5 billion for FY 2020 (and increasing thereafter), HR 792 expands both the opportunity for ‘work based learning’ as well as the definition of what ‘work based learning’ is. Bottom line: blurs the lines between education and labor for streamlined workforce education.

HR 1153 amends HEA for ELLs (English Language Learners)
**As of this article no Bill text is available. 
The summary states it directs Sec. DeVos to award grants to higher education institutions to teach English.

HR 1161 amends HEA for clearer, more concise federal student loan information.
**As of this article no Bill text is available. The summary does state the nebulous ‘other purposes’ is in this Bill.

HR 625 (PROPEL Act, Professional Pell Education Learning Act) amends HEA (Section 401) to expand who can qualify for Pell Grants for certain trade schools. The ‘certain’ trade schools will be those which either teach skill based trades, flight schools, apprenticeships, and on-the-job training which can be completed in less than 15 weeks, 16 semester hours, 24 quarter hours or 600 clock hours. These schools don’t have to be accredited by a nationally recognized association. Bottom line: do we really want barely qualified pilots or other trades? Why are we fast tracking our students of all ages?

S 416 amends the HEA so that those with special circumstances can qualify federal student aid.
**As of this article no Bill text is available.

HR 640 (Student Simplification Aid Act) amends not only the HEA, but IRS Code as well. This will open up the data collection/sharing even moreso than at current rate, between the IRS and the U.S. Dept. of Education. This type of increase can best be described as ‘student data rape’.
Bottom line: any contractor, sub-contractor, federal agency, cooperative partner has access to not only  student data but family data.

S 468 amends Title II of the HEA (Professional Development) for ‘quality enhancement’.
**As of this article no Bill text is available.

S234/HR 811 (identical sister bills) (Transparency in Student Lending Act) amends the HEA for financial disclosure rates.
Bottom line: with student debt so high will rates continue to increase at the fed’s control?

S 379 amends the IRS Code for 529 Accounts to include new higher education credentialing.
**As of this article there is no Bill text for this.

HR 786 amends the Mineral Leasing Act to use federal funds in K-12 and public higher education.
Bottom line: federal funds sent to States to ‘supplement’ education is unconstitutional.

HR 653 (Expanding Access to the Workforce through Dual Enrollment Act of 2019) This Bill will establish or expand programs for CTE (Career Tech Education) where bridges between secondary and post-secondary schools. Also known as dual enrollment or concurrent enrollment as well as ‘other purposes’.
Bottom line: Each eligible school/institution will receive up to $1 million dollars for aligning academics to workforce based education.

S 532/HR 1229 (identical sister bills)amends the HEA for teacher loan forgiveness in connection with the Armed Forces and ‘other purposes’.
**As of this article no Bill text is available.

HR 662 (REACH Act), Report and Educate About Campus Hazing amends the HEA and provides for ‘other purposes’. This Bill defines what ‘hazing’ is; will involve partnerships between campuses and police enforcement; requires on-campus education.
**Bottom line: What group will be providing the education? What, if any, slant will be included? How much funding will be earmarked?

HR 65 (Enhancing Educational Opportunities for Home School Students Act) amends the IRS Code to expand what expenses 529 Accounts will cover.
**Bottom line: not only will K-12 expenses be included, but dual enrollment and some higher education items. (*Note: a related bill, HR 1084, Section 301, expands 529 accounts.)

S220 (529 Expansion and Modernization Act) this Bill will amend the 1986 IRS Code (as does HR 1084) covering 529 accounts for the costs of apprenticeships, early education, and related items.
**Bottom line: this is one of the first pieces of federal legislation I’ve seen where the cradle to grave system connects to money. Apprenticeships fall under CTE, Career Tech Education and tie to U.S. Labor. Early ed ties to U.S. Education. Another sign of a merger?

HR 778 (Educational Freedom Accounts) this Bill is for the District of Columbia to expand ‘school choice’. Eligible students must be enrolled in public school (including charters, excluding homeschooling).
**Bottom line: this Bill extends the ‘freedom’ of choice all the way to higher education, includes tutoring, and other types of services. Why is a NC Representative sponsoring this?

HR 334 (New Collar Jobs Act) will increase education for cyberspace jobs and ‘other purposes’. Amends the IRS Code of 1986 to increase employer contributions. Amends HEA for student loan repayments. Will definitely tie to STEM funds, jobs, and education.
**Bottom line: creates a CyberCorps scholarship for service program & increases federal cybersecurity contracts. This reeks of glorified ‘indentured servitude’, does it not?

HR 1094 (World Language  Advancement and Readiness Act) will find the U.S. Dept. of Defense, the National Intelligence Agency, and, the U.S. Dept. of Education in partnership. Defense will offer competitive grants to States to increase world languages in K-12th grades. So that in higher education, world readiness isn’t such a hassle. 
**Bottom line: portions of the federal footprint in education will shift to Defense funding. The global readiness is geared for the economy, not education. This Bill should die quickly, but has many co-sponsors (main sponsor is from NC).

HR 399 (PATH Act, Pre-Apprenticeships To Hardhats Act) puts U.S. Labor in charge of developing paths for low-income and rural populations for CTE education, P3s (public private partnerships), and extend from K-12 to veterans.
**Bottom line: portions of the federal footprint in education will shift to Labor funding via competitive grants to States. Will allow for curriculum to shift to employer based needs, not academic prowess.

S 275/HR 898 (Skills Investment Act) (identical sister bills) will amend the IRS Code of 1986 for ‘lifelong learning accounts’. Will codify the change via switching from “Coverdell Education Savings Accounts” to “Coverdell Lifelong Learning” Accounts. Will instantly convert existing ESAs to lifelong learning ones.
**Bottom line: the ‘follow the money’ follows the child for two reasons, a) data rape and b) career tracking. This system is based on the pay-as-you-go and is unconstitutional!

HR 827 (AI Jobs Act) lumps in ‘background summary’ in the long title of this Bill. “AI” is short for ‘Artificial Intelligence’. U.S. Labor will head up the collaborative effort to streamline data rape for workforce needs and then strain it all through education. Will encompass STEM education, workforce, and economy. This Bill will use community colleges as the ‘tool of choice’ for much of the alignment (thus amending the HEA).
**Bottom line: this will train us for those 21st century jobs as well as track us to no end. Seeing how the federal government defines AI is truly spooky and shouldn’t be glossed over.

Okay, Warriors, there you have it, the list of HEA amendments which prove out a few things:
a) Many federal agencies have overreached (and will get to continue that process) into education to bastardize it.
b) Look how few actually have anything to do will ‘real’ education and everything to do with trained minions.
c) The global UN led STEM is woven into our education, funding, jobs, economy, and finally ourselves. Just like it was forecast back in 2010.
d) Do you see the ‘choice’ bastardization via those ESAs (education savings accounts)? If ever anyone needed proof these accounts are 100% bogus, these Bills should do the trick.
e) Our legislators are not hiding the global economy or workforce agenda at all. With the blatant use of ‘lifelong learning’, it gives total credence and support to the OECD’s (Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development) rhetoric.

Warriors, the OECD is in cooperation with the UN and the US is in membership of BOTH.

CTE, ‘By Hook Or By Crook’

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, we know for a fact, or by several facts, that the ‘hook/crook’ system has been well implemented in American education. Chiefly responsible is the CCSS Machine (in more modern history).

What do I mean by the “CCSS Machine”? The “Common Core State Standards Machine”. What groups or people make up this ‘Machine’? Anyone and every group who/which has undermined our U.S. Constitution to strap us with federal education laws? (Congress and their corporate backers, State governors, State laws, local entities are a few examples) The complete list is long and is well documented.

My focus for this article will be on Congress AND businesses, though. These, in my researched opinion, are the biggest crooks using the meanest hooks.

Another Hearing:

Warriors, I don’t know about you, but I get emails every time the U.S. House’s Ed/Workforce Committee has news. There has been an abundance of hearings lately.

Each is a dog and pony show with the head of Ed/Workforce (Rep. Virginia Foxx) leading the agenda. What might her agenda be? It’s the same as every other U.S. Representative, that CTE (Career Tech Education) is our ‘silver bullet’ for America.

So, what Hearing am I referring to? It was the House’s June 13th hearing. The Ed/Workforce Committee’s Press Release was selling ‘the power of charter schools’.

So how does CTE connect to charter schools? According to the Hearing’s archive, Rep. Foxx’s final questions focus on charters and CTE. You can find this near the 2:36:07 time mark. She pointedly asked Nina Rees (President and CEO, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools) about the potential of charters to expand CTE. Rees responded with this, ‘Roughly 400 charters label themselves as either CTE or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) field schools.’ If you look up ‘CTE’ on the Alliance’s website, there are 22 listings for CTE teachers. From special needs students to all CTE concentrations, Career Tech Ed is used for student’s career tracked pathways and lifelong learning.

What’s interesting, Warriors, is that the CCSS Machine member organizations funding this Alliance include the U.S. Dept. of Education’s Charter School Resource Center. Other funders include the Gates Foundation, The Eli Broad Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, The Kellogg Foundation, and many others. (source)

By having a group tied to the U.S. Dept. of Education speaking as a witness at a hearing for the U.S. House’s Ed/Workforce Committee is totally subjective, thus, whatever ‘testimony’ is given will naturally support Congress’s moves.

Frankly, as I listened and watched this almost 3 hour hearing, I was offended by the smugness of Foxx, the superiority of some of the other Congress members making statements and asking questions. You could easily hear digs at certain parties, disrespect toward others, and false vibrato towards the one citizen presented as a witness.

You could hear the coached words spilling from not only Foxx’s mouth, but others like Rep. Davis of California, Rep. Polis from Colorado, and Rep. Thompson from Pennsylvania. Other Representatives appeared to have valid questions, but used most of their question time to espouse their opinions.

Davis said that America (‘we’) need CTE. “We” also need to partner with communities. ‘We want CTE’. ‘We want many opportunities for students, we’re primed to do that to a scale which will create careers.’

Warriors, this is the way in which businesses and corporations are infiltrating the classrooms across America. If they aren’t in the K-12 classrooms, they are in the early college classrooms, the apprenticeships, the dual enrollment, the one-stop-job-centers, etc.
Grooming workers tied to 16 different career tracks is the sole goal. THERE IS NO OTHER. Those who don’t fit into these tracks will find themselves on a different kind of career track: management

The PROSPER Act is a land mine of CTE, STEM, and anything else connecting education to the workforce development. In my recent article, I exposed how as well as Foxx’s misleading the nation on the number of jobs available or not. PROSPER is geared for those in higher education BUT depends on K-12 education to be locked in the alignment for cradle to career ‘education’. Both CTE and PROSPER will encompass ALL school choices! Warriors, make no mistake, the U.S. Congress, as a CCSS Machine member, is doing EVERYTHING possible by hook or by crook to mandate education into workforce development. If it’s not CTE, it’s CBE (competency based education).

Education/Workforce: Springtime Edition

Spring has sprung in DC, alright. If you’ve been following my anti Fed Ed/global research information long, you are fully aware of the activities from Washington which have locked in the shift from academics to workforce.

So, my fellow Anti Fed Ed Warriors, what’s in fashion for Spring 2018 in the CCSS Machine’s line of education/workforce reform? Well, apparently dressing up the reform in spring colors. I guess that way it looks a bit more fashionable..and less conforming.

Ahh, Warriors, isn’t it so pretty?! ‘Streamlined and straight jacketed’ just for our American taxpayers!

If you are not sure what PROSPER is, it is the U.S. House of Representative’s version of what the 1965 HEA (Higher Education Act) should be transformed into.

“PROSPER” stands for ‘Promoting Real Opportunity, Success, and, Opportunity through Education Reform’. It’s HR 4508, it’s key sponsor? Rep. Virginia Foxx (NC) who just happens to be the Chairwoman for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Education and Workforce Committee.

Her ‘design concept’ on all education?

As far as the ‘quality’ education in the CCSS Machine, you’ll find more worthiness in what lines the chicken coop floor than you will what’s being fashioned for higher education! Be it in the House OR the Senate.

Either version of the upcoming HEA Re-authorization (PROSPER Act or the Higher Education Innovation Act) will increase the conformity in the education reform. It will tie K-12 students (in all choices) to the CCSS Machine’s workforce standards in higher education. Either will increase the amount of ‘student data rape’ needed to feed the global workforce.

Warriors, we might as well as hand out these Brazilian kid-sized straight jackets for school uniforms and/or diplomas!

In a similar context, we, as those opposed to federal control of education at any age, know that conformed, straight-jacketed workforce education is NOT the better way.

Ed/Work Thinks We Missed Some Things:

Yes, Warriors, the House’s Ed and Workforce Committee must assume we, as taxpayers. are totally clueless. Just last week the Committee published a blog article to show us what we may of missed about PROSPER.
In their article, it was revealed that We the People might of ‘missed’ how great PROSPER will be in 3 areas.
a) grading and assessing ALL higher education institutions, not just the ‘for profit’ (proprietary) ones.
b) how student debt and tuition can be decreased.
c) how the taxpayers lose out when student debt is high.

While it IS true that student debt and tuition are at ridiculously high levels, the obvious is MISSED by Ed/Workforce, not, We the People! How?! Get the government out of the student loan business, Duh! The government hoarding of student loans is awful.

It ramps up the ‘student data rape’ while it controls who can and cannot go to college. The ‘student data rape’ happens every single time a Career Tech Education, Career Track, or Career Pathway, a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) course is taken.  (there are several other names like “Future Ready”, “College and Career Readiness, etc.)  Be it in middle school, high school, extra curricular classes, dual enrollment, early college, and others.

The data is used against your student (or yourself if you are going back to school) to pigeon hole you to a prescribed course to pursue. Tying ‘success’ in any education choice BEFORE college is used to tie it to your student FAFSA (which is now mandatory to complete in some States). FAFSA has been re-written to ‘data rape’ families.

Warriors, by controlling both the money AND the education, a dangerous trap is being set for Americans. The CCSS Machine is seriously spinning all this as ‘making America better’ or increasing the job market. Which leads to economic gains. However, as we’ve learned, who really loses?! The citizens! They loose their freedom to choose what they wish to live, work, and, how to contribute to society. Citizens also loose when they are continually forced to pick up the bill for ‘free community college’.

The federal government has long been trying to instill a ‘nanny state’. ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) completed much of this type of alignment. How? It tied not only the WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) ‘education’ standards to K-12, it opened the door for birth to 1st in setting up workforce tracks. Don’t you remember Arne Duncan’s words about looking at the 2nd graders and knowing where they’d end up?!

By ‘grading’ and assessing all higher education institutions, you’ll also seeing a big CCSS Machine spin on reality. Warriors, remember when ESSA stated that ALL education must be aligned to post-secondary readiness standards? Well, you have to align those post-secondary institutions! The ‘best’ way to force conformity?! Funding!

No, Warriors, I do not thing we ‘missed’ anything about PROSPER. I think we totally ‘get it’. D.C. is so far entrenched with lies about their role in education, they have deceived themselves in this case.

As far as this Spring 2018 fashionable makeover for selling “PROSPER”, my advice is to skip it. No one needs springtime straight jackets. Quality education cannot be found in D.C., my followers. When it comes to ‘makeovers’ in education, D.C.’s a ‘knock off’.
