Everyone Loves A Fair, Right?!

To All My Anti Fed Ed Warriors, out there, I ask you the question above..
Everyone loves to attend a fair, right? Well, not everyone, I suppose. There are plenty of folks who would rather stay home than ride the ferris wheel, eat cotton candy, and, see all the local exhibits.

However, Warriors, what about a different kind of fair? Say, an international one.

Is there such a thing? Would you attend? Who would organize it, what activities would be present? How does all this impact education reform in America?

I invite you to read on to find out the answers and so much more.

Meet BIE, Your Fair Guide:

BIE (Bureau for International Expositions) would be the organization in charge of the fair, or, as they call it ‘exposition’.
(*Note: This BIE is not to be confused with the US BIE, Bureau of Indian Education within the U.S. Dept. of the Interior)

According to the BIE’s website, an ‘expo’ (aka ‘fair’ for our conversation) is,  “a global event that aims at educating the public, sharing innovation, promoting progress and fostering cooperation. It is organized by a host country that invites other countries, companies, international organisations, the private sector, the civil society and the general public to participate.”

Everyone from young kids to senior citizens and from every walk of life are invited to these events.

The four main goals of these types of events are:
a) collectivism (although it referred to as ‘cooperation’); b) education (carried out through entertainment); c) showing off the host country; and, d) growing your nation’s economy. (Warriors, pause and ask yourselves this, “Where have I seen or heard this type of agenda before?”)

A quick and simple answer is the UN’s SDGs (United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals). In fact, the BIE, has a document expressly for tying in the SDGs to the Expositions. Below is a screen shot of the 2017 document’s front page.

So, What About Education Reform?

Warriors, we know several Anti Fed Ed researchers and activists have tied Dubai to the CCSS Machine. So, it isn’t surprising to find a 2013 BIE Speech (concerning the upcoming 2020 Dubai World Expo)  where education was brought up 5 times.

Of those 5 times, only a couple are evidence of the global reform being carried out today, in 2018.

Warriors, just think this was back in 2013; while the US wasn’t part of the BIE. Now that the US is once again a member nation, how much of this has already been done here in America? How much of this type of alignment is currently being carried out?
(*Note, the first question I posed here is more rhetorical. We have tons of evidence as to the global education push established in the past.)

Another Fair:

Warriors, as far as other type of fair, this past July (2017), the celebration fair outside the G20 (Group of 20) featured many celebrities pushing for global citizens, global agendas, and, using education as one of the tools by which to pull this off. Closing:

Warriors, these types of fairs, expos, and, celebrations will not stop. In fact, they may increase. How do we fight back? These are public domain meetings. Use that to your advantage!

We cannot win the War Vs the Core in the CCSS Machine’s territory, BUT, we CAN fight the Machine in OURS. If we ‘win’, super. If we don’t, the Machine will suffer greatly by the time we are through.

Our work as activists is FAR from over. So, let’s turn the tables. Instead of a ‘fair’ exhibiting hype, let’s exhibit truth.
Let’s have teachers and students give ‘fair’ speeches about how damaging the
globalization of their classrooms is.
Let’s have them display the CCSS curriculum and resources for all to see how unfair this education reform is for THEM.
Let’s trot out the data mining tools and show the unfair AND illegal data rape happening everyday in America for the ‘global good’.
Let’s expose the UN’s SDG takeovers in our cities and towns, too.

Education’s “Cooked Goose”

Warriors, we know education in America can be considered a ‘hot mess’. The state of education in the ESSA Era (Every Student Succeeds Act) could also be referred to as a ‘train wreck’.

For this article, I chose ‘cooked goose’. Why? It’s meaning as a phrase expresses spoiling plans; ruining someone’s opportunities. In other words, succeeding won’t happen.

Warriors, plainly stated, ESSA will NOT give our student success at what THEY want. It is designed to link itself to the WIOA, STEM Act, HEA, and all other related workforce/education laws. (*WIOA: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; STEM is short for Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math; HEA: Higher Education Act)

Before we point the finger exclusively to Washington, D.C.; we must point it back to the CCSS Machine and it’s association to UNESCO.

Who Are Sutton and Golder?

Dr. Staurt Sutton is from the University of Washington at Seattle
Diny Golder
(aka: Diny Golder-Dardis) is a co-founder of P21 (Partnership for 21st Century Skills) She is also key to JES and Company.
(*Note: the embedded link for Golder is to a 2003 Symposium paper about increasing technology. You’ll see her roles in both capacities mentioned. You’ll also see the U.S. Dept. of Education’s involvement. You’ll also be directed to some external links about the CEO Forum. I was unsuccessful accessing these. However, I did find a 2001 publication by the CEO Forum. It’s cover states it all.)

Back to Sutton and Golder’s involvement:
Together this team produced 3 white papers together. All 3 were based on increasing technology in our classrooms; for teachers and students. They wrote these 3 papers for the ASN (Achievement Standards Network).

If you’ve not heard of the ASN, it was created by Golder and Sutton with grant money (2 grants) awarded them by the NSF (National Science Foundation), under the JES and Company’s name.

NSF is the group which created the acroynm “STEM” for marketing purposes in education. STEM is a tool used by the UNESCO for pushing the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in education.

Helping expand the ASN was a generous Gates grant award in 2012 to JES and Co.

In 2013, my dear anti CCSS Warrior friend, Donna Garner, published an article tying ASN, Jes and Co. to the CSCOPE (TX’s supposedly not-CCSS educational framework and standards) and the EdGate organization.

ASN is now owned by D2L. D2L was founded in 1999 by John Baker of Canada. Today, D2L has some of the biggest CCSS Machine members as partners. Their ‘job’? Tying more technology and education together.)

Other Sutton and Goldar Work:

In 2008, it was a paper on matching education resources to education standards for all the grade levels between K and 12th grade. This document appears to be for the National Science Digital Library. It’s about how to use metadata.
In 2009, it was all about discovering concepts in education via learning objectives. It is in this document they base their findings and solutions off of the 1997 UNESCO Report. (*Note: the 2010 paper they wrote was for Australia’s curriculum and configuring it to RDFs).

The 1997 Standards document was updated, just 2 years later (1999). It is in this one where you’ll begin to see the UIS (UNESCO Institute for Statistics) begin to surface.

Warriors, why would I use ‘track’? Think about it, the technology increases in American classrooms are designed to track progress; to measure mental abilities. These results are then used to track the courses/classess and eventual careers. ESSA, WIOA, and HEA embed it. STEM increases it! There’s another reason I chose the word ‘track’:

Warriors, ‘technical’ means technology use, which we know is data. We also know, that technology is part of ‘innovation’. Innovation has been used as a tool to update ‘infrastructure’. Education is being used as a tool to pump up jobs and the economy.

Do we see ANYWHERE in these contrived plots: a child’s desire to become what THEY want? Do we see anywhere how teachers can TEACH without conformity?! NO!

        Education’s goose has been royally cooked!

I urge you to read the information from the above screen shot here. It will lay out the indicators by which our students and teachers will be aligned to. It will explain how this data is to be used, and include the GAML (Global Alliance to Monitor Learning). The GAML is doing its own ‘cooking geese’ with assessments and data mining.

Warriors, remember, the SDGs are all to be in place by 2030.

Tying This Back To The American Push for Technology/Data:

Warriors, the way ESSA is written, an huge increase in technology, data mining is in the works. It is because of the foundational shift created in part, by folks like Sutton and Goldar, that we are so far down the path to comply with the U.N.
Sutton and Goldar are hardly alone. We know the CCSS Machine has been infiltrating companies, legislators, and everywhere in between to force us to assimilate into the overall plan to ruin education.

One of the biggest data mining tools which unites education and jobs, here in America are the SLDS and the WQDI (Student Longitudinal Data System and Workforce Quality Data Initiative). These track your student (regardless of their educational choice) from the classroom to their careers…and beyond.

I really hope yesterday’s article got your attention. I know for those of us fighting to rid America of the CCSS Machine, its initiative; their educational inappropriateness; and everything else related, we needed to know that information. However disgusted we may be, we need to press on.

Among several anti CCSS Warriors, many nerves were touched by the image of the hub from yesterday. While I understand WHY the image may be upsetting, it is important to know that because of the information, others responded (either via Twitter or Facebook) with very similar images that depict educational/community alignment. Below is the one from “Tacoma 360” for a parents school!

Both the anti CCSS Warriors who provided these noted that like Ms. Hoge’s discovery of the 1990s hub (featured in yesterday’s post), these new versions all capture the Goals 2000 or Agenda 21 concept.

Another follower was able to spot how the hub is a symbol used by several groups determined to undermine our nation.

No matter what we see, the fact of the matter is the CCSS Machine’s INTENT is this: 
Reshaping America (at any cost) in the name of education reform.

The “Whole Child” Learning Destroyed by CCSS?

Yes! Before the outcome based education model, ‘whole child learning’ was what another dear researcher and anti CCSS Initiative Warrior, Donna Garner calls the “Type One”  whole child learning. That’s where basic, good academics were taught. Contrast that with her “Type Two” (outcome based education) definition of ‘whole child learning’. That’s all out performance levels, workforce training..in other words almost NO academics!

The CCSS Machine’s idea of “Whole Child Learning” can be found at the ASCD website. ASCD is Gates Foundation funded. (I’ve exposed their ties to Gates and CCSS in other articles). Here’s their definition of ‘whole child learning’, “A whole child approach to education is defined by policies, practices, and relationships that ensure each child, in each school, in each community, is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged.
