Oh, Say Can You Say?

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, as the 2020 election season is gearing up in hype, know that one of the main issues will NOT be education. What’s grabbing the attention of most Americans? Data. However, data comes in several forms and most definitely shows up in education!

If you missed my 5 part series on the stances of all the Presidential candidates (Rs and Ds), I urge you to take the time to read through the articles. You’ll see the technology and innovation platforms (all are ‘code’ for data mining).

currentfeds
(That’s the current federal level candidates, excluding the President. His stances are in Part 3’s article.)

statelocal
(That’s the State and Local level candidates)

Not ONE candidate, even the current President, is backing off data collection (aka: student data rape).
physicalvsdata

What’s noteworthy is the data rape doesn’t stop at the school, it is meant for EVERY American! That’s why the passage of FEPA was so vital. (FEPA is short for “Foundations of Evidence-based Policy-making Act”). I’ve written on FEPA several times, as have other Anti CCSS Warriors. There are other activists from the genres of American liberties, American finance, etc. who have also written about the connections FEPA has to our economy.

Many other Anti Fed Ed Warriors, have focused on the trails between money all everything we do on-line to create social credit. The social data mining helps speed this type of profiling right along.

What’s worse, is the 2020 candidates are riding the coattails of the global data marketing system. After all, that exactly where all this data is ending up.

But WHERE, Warriors, does the social data mining/data rape begin? How about our own back yards.

As, I often do, I’ll be showing you what I have found near me, in NC (where I live). I hope it spurs you to action to looking in your State for where the social data tracking trail is being inserted.

Big Data Just Down The Road:

Warriors, if you didn’t know it, I live in an area of NC where NASCAR racing is ‘king’. So much so, that Mooresville (where I live) is also known as “Race City USA”.  Mooresville is just north of Charlotte. One of the biggest data and banking hubs in the nation.

Those of us who live here know that several large buildings sit empty as former headquarters of this team or owner, or another one. We’ve used to seeing new logos go up as old ones come down.

timbergig

However, when a former racing car facility is re-invented as a mega data center, that’s a whole other issue. I can tell you that I’ve driven by the ‘new’ facility. The entire building and land is surrounded by a tall fence with razor wire in curled ribbons on the top. It’s a bit ironic, Warriors. Howso? When you consider the massive amounts of personal and private data being harvested (unconstitutionally), they have complete access to you, but you are to be kept out by all means.

Here’s the link to the local ‘breaking’ news from late June.

gigam

A few years ago, President Obama made local and national headlines by coming to Mooresville to trot out the (then) latest and greatest student data mining system. (Project RED) was the name. Supposedly streamlined data collection to help students become more accomplished was the hype. (*Note: the article I embedded is from 2016 and will tie ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act to the increases in data collection.)

As Warriors, we know now that the data mining is so NOT about accomplishments, but cradle to grave tracking for workforce aligned education. While it’s true NC has done everything in its power to beef up technology in the classrooms, NC is hardly the sole State where this is happening. We’ll see the efforts grow, Warriors.

GIGA and Lenovo; Education Related?

Warriors, I can tell you that Levono is a Hong Kong global corporation with a US based headquarters in Raleigh, NC (About 3 hours east of Mooresville). IBM has a ‘historic alliance’ with Lenovo. But, can we tie GIGA and Lenovo together?

levonogiga

Yes, Warriors, we can! (Source)
IBM is also a UN (United Nations) Partner for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG #4 is Quality education for all).

Related Resources:

1) Project RED is alive and is in continual data raping increase. If you want to see the latest, go here. (*Note: you’ll see the website isOne-to-One Institute. Be sure to look at the 21st Century ‘learning’, the tools for States to implement data at every turn and more. One-to-One is a international non-profit group. One of the Board members is from KnowledgeWorks, KW. KW is a known ‘cradle to grave’ digital community aligning group very much in the belly of the CCSS Machine. Their ‘cradle to career’ cities are spread all across the US. In NC, you can find one KW community in Winston-Salem. Also considered a big hub in NC. You can also see Winston-Salem in connection to the current NC Superintendent and his CCSS Machine tieshere. )

globalred

2) To see the Project RED ‘global toolkit’ Chapter 2, go here. For Chapter 5, go here.

3) The Leadership Team of GIGA is full of CCSS Machine group members (and their ties to Big Data). For example the President and CEO of GIGA also founded DCBlox (cloud based data storage is among their claims to fame).

dcblox

4) From HPC Newswire, the GIGA/Mooresville News revealed a Cloud based ‘Event’ held earlier this year. (*Note: use the ‘event’ link and look at the right hand side to see the upcoming Cloud based Events to be held. Of special interest is the DC based one on infrastructure changes. Changing data mining infrastructure plays right into the ESSA , Every Student Succeeds Act data mining mandates, as well as HIPAA’s, FERPA’s, and FEPA’s.)

5) From what I could find, on-line, GIGA has been around since the 1990s and was founded by a man named Gartner. He then sold GIGA to Forrest Research (2003). I also found a GIGA pdf document from 2018, where Gartner is still active in Big Data. (*Note: when you access the Forrest website, you will not see ‘education’ as one of the sectors served, but you will see government and health insurance. Both are tied to education, as we know.)

6) Also in the Charlotte area, is the Charlotte Urban Institute. CUI is partnering with Big Government and Big Data to manipulate education via community services. You can find the CUI among the partners of the ISC, Institute for Social Capital.
(*Note: manipulation of entire communities in the name of education is spread throughout ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act. Mostly, through data tracking.) UNC-Charlotte also has a Model UN Club. (*Note: Model UN Clubs are in all educational choices and age levels.)

Warriors, I’ll ask again, do you know what’s in your backyard about Big Data? As you can see, it isn’t hiding. It IS being used to control so much of our lives. Will we wait until in controls US 24/7 before we stop it?!

Know Thy Neighbor

Anti Fed Ed Warriors ~ we must be on guard at all times and keep our eyes open.
Another popular Diva post, “Whoa, Neighbor!“, reveals an example of who is promoting community engagement programs with the goal of peering further into our private lives.  Keep an eye out folks, you don’t just hand anyone the keys to your home.

~ posted by MK for the Diva

Whoa, Neighbor!

Ushered in via the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act): Title 4 Funding’s “wrap arounds” and more Promise Neighbors.

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, what I’m about to share happened to me this past weekend. I got a seemingly harmless piece of mail. It was geared for my neighborhood and looked like a great way to get involved. I mean, after all, how many of us know to fight our War Vs the Core, we need to be locally minded first, then, venture out.

ESSA In Our Communities:

Below, is the letter I received. Notice how it states we can keep up with crime, safety, find our pets, etc. Nowhere do you see ‘school’ or “education”.

But, after digging into just who/what “Nextdoor” is, I found it’s VERY much in education. To the point it’s partnering with schools to breed community engagement. Something ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) embedded as a mandate.

nextdoorletter

Where in ESSA is the ‘community engagement’ language?
You’ll find ‘community’ 170 times.
You’ll also find community is involved in Sections 4001-4206 (21st Century Community Learning Centers); Sections 4501-4506 (Family Engagement), and, Section 4611 (Ed Research, Sub-part 2 Community Support for School Success), Section 4624 (Promise Neighborhoods), Section 4625 (Full service community schools), and ‘community colleges’, which are written throughout the law.

Back in 2018, I showed you how NC (where I live) has annual conferences to embed the community in education. In that article the Community in Education Conference was centered on ‘building capacity’ via ‘innovations’. This year’s was “personalized learning”.  Look in your State for similar programs.

The Nextdoor Company:

Warriors, you can access the website here.

nextdoor

From their Press Release section: “Headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Nextdoor is a privately held company with the backing of prominent investors, including Benchmark, Greylock Partners, Tiger Global Management, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and others.”

So, how did I find Nextdoor in our schools? I did a general search.

The NY Times published in 2018, how the company can be used in politics. We know politics and education intertwine.

In 2015, the Tennessean published that Metro Nashville Public Schools became the first school district in the nation to partner with Nextdoor for a broader sense of community involvement in education.

If you look at one of the co-founders of Nextdoor, you’ll see she’s got ties to both Harvard and Microsoft, two huge CCSS Machine member groups. You’ll also see service on a MA school board.

When you think about the need for verification of address, that should alarm you. Why? It means your home address is being tracked. It’s not a far jump to remember that these on-line companies also can benefit from the smart devices students bring home which have been issued at schools.

Also consider that since FEMA and NOAA are also CCSS Machine member federal agencies/programs, it’s not a far stretch to think HUD (also among the federal CCSS Machine member agencies) will become involved with address and home ownership verification.

While it doesn’t appear Nextdoor is that creepy yet, it never hurts to be proactive. I do know that there has been talk about one day down the road, Nextdoor could be among internet providers. We KNOW that means massive trouble as far as personal data, especially when combined with school partners.

This “How Stuff Works” article points out that Nextdoor has had issues with racial profiling, but it working on it. The article also explains how services like Nextdoor have a niche market. How will privacy laws like FEPA (Foundations for Evidence-based Policy-making) factor in? What about the bullying aspect? If racial profiling’s an issue, how in the name of all that’s holy, will school partners prevent terrible behavior? What about hacking the neighborhood or school information?

To answer some of these questions, as well as to learn (page 7) how NextDoor owns your data once it’s supplied, the Ga Tech Study will be handy. In the GT Study are 13 references to data.

In 2017, CNBC reported Nextdoor was worth over $1 billion dollars in venture capital. Warriors, venture capitalists HATE local control in education. At least the CCSS Machine member venture capitalists like Netflix, Global Silicon Valley, etc.

Speaking of GSV (Global Silicon Valley), Nextdoor is among the Top 10 performers of  the GSV portfolio. So, all that data and those privacy concerns ARE a big deal after all!

Below are just a FEW of the education related groups also in the GSV portfolio. Since Nextdoor is too, I connected them for you.

gsvnext

If you’d like to see all my previous research and articles on GSV, go here.

One last thought, Warriors, Nextdoor and police departments partner together in several cities. Have you seen the large net law enforcement has, thanks to ESSA’s ‘school safety’ mandates? “Law enforcement” is embedded 6 times. Most are the student’s safety, but, we also know that lots of data sharing will take place. Again, with laws like FEPA, law enforcement agencies were given an increase in the amount of information they can collect and share. FEPA is also a back door to removing our 2nd Amendment rights.

Consorting To Align And Undermine

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, we know the shift in education FROM academics TO workforce is NOT new.

We know the CCSS Machine sped things up in the streamlined ‘cradle to career’ shift via CC (Common Core), CTE (Career Tech Education, the ‘adult’ version for CC), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math), STEAM, (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and, Math), CPs (Career Pathways), CCs (Career Clusters), CTs (Career or College Tracks), and, CCR (College and Career Readiness).

We also know that federal legislation has played directly into the cogs of the CCSS Machine via WIOA, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (2014), ESSA, Every Student Succeeds Act (2015), STEM Act of 2015, the re-authorization of Perkins Funding (which gives money to all 50 States for a big portion of everything you see in bold above.) We will certainly see it in the ‘new’ version of the HEA (Higher Education Act) as it continues to be ‘rewritten’.

cradlecareer

What Consortium?

Warriors, were you aware there a national consortium expressly for boosting the continued shift from academics to workforce skills? “EntreEd” or the National Coalition for Entrepreneurship Schools.
entreed
Before we move on, let me share with you another visual where ‘every student’ has been used:

(*Note, this 2017 researched article I published has quite a bit on the topic of the workforce shift in education which is impacting all choices. This image you see directly above was part of a video series I was honored to be a guest of. It is in Part One of the 4 part series. The link to all 4 parts are embedded for you. Part One’s focus? The lies surrounding workforce education.)

What does EntreEd do or carry out as their mission?

entremission

Warriors, notice the K-12 inclusion, the community alignment, the local economic boosting potentials. What you don’t see is the use of the words ‘workforce’ or ‘career tech education’. “Entrepreneurship” is being used as an educratic replacement!

If you missed it, recently I shared with you federal legislation which, if passed into law, would increase business education tracks in schools and communities. (*Note: HR 1702, the Small Business Development Centers Improvement Act will be the Bill you are looking for in the linked article above.)

More Copyrighted National Standards, Warriors:

Yes, Warriors, you read correctly. More copyrighted education standards. EntreEd has a direct link to the National Entrepreneurship Standards, copyright 2004. While most of our academic standards in 2004 were not CCSS aligned, they have since been. Look below to see an overview of the 15 strands of this business education standards. (*Note: we’ll get back to these Standards in a moment.)

entrenatstandard

Warriors, compare these 15 strands to the fact there are 16 Career Clusters. Most of the Clusters contain training (aka education) for those working for someone. Only a few Clusters are for those who would own or lead businesses. (*Note: You will not see the differences between worker and leader below, but look into each Cluster separately, and you’ll be able to see them.)

Warriors, if you’d like to access the Summary and/or Details of these Standards for Entrepreneurship, go here.

To see how these Entrepreneurship Standards combine with the CCSS (Common Core) or NGS (Next Gen Science) Standards, go here. (*Note: the K-5th, 6th-8th, and, 9th-12th Standards will download as .docx files.) Warriors, the National Network for the AESs (American Entrepreneurship Schools) reaches K-14, or, Kindergarten to the 2nd year of higher education.
To see how these CCSS/NGSS aligned business Standards are being implemented or have been already implemented in your area, read this. (*Note: SBDCs are mentioned in the implementation information. These stand for Small Business Development Centers. As in the very Centers HR 1702 involve!)

If you would like to see how the National Entrepreneurship Week (held annually since 2006) has had the Congressional backing, read this To see the active Partners this National Week has, use the highlighted ‘week’ link.

The MBA Research and Curriculum Center:

Warriors, MBA(Marketing and Business Administration) Research and Curriculum Center certainly carry the entrepreneurship beyond the 2nd year of college, but is this Center, associated with business, also in on the CCSS Machine, like the National Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education? Let’s find out.

Since there’s such a strong tie between businesses in education in the MBA Research and Curriculum Center, it’s not surprising to find there’s another Coalition contained among the MBA. It’s mission is crystal clear as to their allegiance to the CCSS Machine:
“Encourage the teaching of core business skills and economic concepts for college- and career-ready high school curricula.”

One of the ways this is carried out? PBL (Project Based Learning). Another? Extra-curricular clubs like FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). (*Note: in my article , I show you how PBLs are ‘code’ for CBE, Competency Based Learning. CBE is an updated term for the Outcome Based Education from the 1990s. If you are not sure how the FBLA fits into the CCSS Machine, I have that laid out, here.)

Below, is a screen shot of the MBA Research/Curriculum’s website. Notice the 28 States:

mbaresearch

Warriors, notice, below, the tie between the Career Clusters and what the MBA has as their ‘Standards’:

mbacluster.jpg

Why This Should Matter:

Warriors, as the shift from academics to workforce continues, we’ll see more and more higher education institutions do away with what have traditionally been wonderfully accepted degrees for teachers and those leading our students. Majors in history, English, and, others are either declining OR are being phased out. For example, the University of WI at Stevens Point wants to do away with 13 majors.
Back in February 2018, the University of IL explained that cutting majors happens when budgets are cut. Their article also said it can be an effort to reduce student debt.

As we’ve seen, the CCSS Machine (via DC) has used ‘reducing student debt’ as a rhetorical reason for ramping up Competency Based Education. Warriors, it’s not so much about reducing debt (or taxpayer burdens). This type of rhetoric 100% supports the continued shift away from academics and plays right into the workforce training.

We also should consider that those in leadership for groups like the MBA and the EntreEd show up in other places. For example, the former leader of BOTH, MBA and EntreEd, will now lead NC in CTE (Career Tech Education) as its director.

Back in December 2017, I showed you what was coming for the Tar Heel State for Career Tech Education and how it would reach even younger students than ever before. No doubt the new CTE Director will make sure this happens…at taxpayer expense without taxpayer consent.

(Source and Research for this image)

Warriors, who among your State education leaders used to be in another arm or leg of the CCSS Machine? Where are they now, do you know how they are continuing the workforce shift?

Closing:

While the CCSS Machine consorts and conspires against us? How will we, the Warriors, conspire and consort toward a counter-attack? Simply taking our students out of public education is not a real solution. Why? Because the cradle to career streamline will impact every single student at some point.

We must remember, ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) tightened the circle around all educational choices. Page 17 of the Law was deadly serious when it laid out the mandate for ALL education to be workforce readiness aligned! The goal of the CCSS Machine is to have NO choice, but a workforce training one, for every citizen and student.

Finger Pointing

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, don’t you just ‘love’ it when one side of the CCSS Machine decides to try to distract us? Better yet, it’s especially ‘fun’ when one side of the CCSS Machine decides to point out how WRONG another side of the Machine is.

Think of it this way, the CCSS Machine is a living example of double standards. You know, it’s okay for me to corrupt education, but, when you do, I’m crying ‘foul’.

Exactly what I am referring to? A recent blog article by the U.S. House’s  Education and Workforce Committee.

Warriors, Ed/Workforce IS one part of the CCSS Machine!

(Source for the Ed/Workforce Press Release image)

Ed/Workforce is 100% behind the shift to educated workforce, not education for academic prowess. I shared with you many times just how aligned this Committee is.

Not only do the Committee members carry this shift out via WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), they helped embed it in ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), too.

wioaalign

In this recent blog article Ed/Work has decided to ‘blast’ another part of the CCSS Machine. From the blog’s information, the charges are quite serious. Not only does Ed/Work show how the CNCS is not keeping its volunteers safe, but the citizens being served. If you’d like to see the 2017 written testimony from a CNCS official about their activities Ed/Work was blasting, go here.

Observation:
It is a bit unclear why Ed/Work issued a 2018 blog article. As we see, in 2017, the CNCS provided testimony as to their accountability. However, given the fact BOTH groups are CCSS Machine members, we should not assume either can be trusted.

fedup

The CNCS:

The Corporation for National Community Service (CNCS). If you’re not familiar with the CNCS, you might recognize “AmeriCorps” or “SeniorCorps”. (*Note: CNCS also works very closely with the Peace Corps.)

Warriors, AmeriCorps/SeniorCorps are most definitely another part of the CCSS Machine

From the CNCS website, this quote is evidence of the current attitude from both AmeriCorps and Senior Corps on education, “AmeriCorps and Senior Corps play a vital role in helping communities design and implement results-driven, cost-effective solutions, that support students from cradle-to-career.”

cncs
(Source of image)

Warriors, in this 2016 article I laid out for you how the P3s (public private partnerships) AmeriCorps/Senior Corps  use directly play into, not only the CCSS Machine, but, in your local schools and communities as well. ESSA mandated an increase in community alignment, after school programs, and more, which fall under CNCS’s presence in your area.
2016Americorp(Source of the image above)
**************************************************************
As far as how one Anti Fed Warrior feels about all this type of activity:

Paul Raymond*********************************************

Peace Corps:

As far as the Peace Corps, they too are in the CCSS Machine. (*Note, while Peace Corps is not specifically mentioned in my 2014 article, the founder of the group was a key contact from the Johnson Administration. It was during Johnson’s service as President that similar Corps were created, as well as ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) and HEA (Higher Education Act) federal education laws passed.
Peace Corps was founded during President Kennedy’s service.)

From the Peace Corps website, their attitude on education, “Education is the Peace Corps’ largest program area. Volunteers play an important role in creating links among schools, parents, and communities.”

pcprep

(Source of above image)
If you’d like to see the Peace Corps requirements for school administrators, find it here.
Also from the Peace Corps website is this description of how a secondary school (high school)  from IL uses a school counselor to guide students to a college/career track which can include serving in the Peace Corps. (*Note: from IN, a college/career track called “Prepare for My Career” where the Peace Corps is among the associated links. You’ll also see CTE, Career Tech Education. CTE is a Ed/Workforce Committee favorite.)

In 2018, all these types of ‘Corps’ have united in aligning America to the CCSS Machine’s agenda. Right alongside the U.S. Education and Workforce Committee. Do not forget the U.S. Senate can be found in all the aligning as well.

For example, January 2018, Senator Corker (TN), along with 3 other Senators have an un-numbered proposed Peace Corps Reform bill. While it mainly updates health and well-being, it also involves innovation technology to track volunteers as well as be a part of their training, service, and follow them after leaving the Peace Corps.

Days ago I shared with you news about a proposed D.C. bill  (HR 600) to amend the Peace Corps Act to have the volunteers ‘leverage’ CCSS aligned digital literacy resources. This shift, is a global one, Warriors! You can see the Peace Corps Technology innovation from 2014, image what the new plans are!

headdown

Closing:

Warriors, I bring this to your attention today, because we cannot allow the CCSS Machine to sway us in ANY direction. We must stand firm, dig for the truth, and, share it. While it IS clear the CNCS and the Peace Corps are leading our communities to a CCSS Machine/global  agenda, it is ALSO true that Congress is, as well. Where is a blasting article against Ed/Workforce for all it’s egregious activity?! Where is the outraged letter addressing the Senate?!

“Here I Stand, I Can Do No Other”

No, Warriors, I haven’t confused two historic figures. Yes, the picture you see is Joan of Arc. The title you read is a hat tip to Martin Luther as he nailed his 95 Points on that church door so long ago. If you have been following me long on my blog, or on social media, you know I have long identified with Joan’s fierceness. As far as Martin’s boldness? Yes, I’m about to go there.

A Certain Recent Release:

The President has recently released his 2018 Federal Budget Blueprint. It’s creating quite a buzz. You also know that in past federal budget releases, I’ve also gone over them.
In-depth and not unwilling to expose the alignment to the CCSS Machine.

The reality that the current President has promised to rid us of Common Core and yet padded the Administration with pro CCSS members, certainly has given us pause.

Trump’s promise for more jobs should also give us pause. Why? With the distinct presence of WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), ESSA (Every Student Succeeds), HEA (Higher Education Act); the federal money in place right NOW funneling through each of these; the CCSS Machine up to its neck in all 3, we need to be pointing to the same priorities:

a) Workforce based education IS here, playing out daily. It plays out not only through Common Core, but Career Tech Education, STEM, Next Gen, and so many other areas.
b) It’s playing out in employment centers, community colleges, our public-private partnerships, job development programs, and so many other places.
c) It comes in the form of SEL (social, emotional learning), CBE (competency based education), PBLs (project based learning), and constant over assessments for skills to meet some business’s idea of what a human should be able to do.

For the President to rid us of ‘Common Core’, he needs to be ready to rid us of ALL the connections. Think how many times we’ve heard and said, ‘follow the money’.

Since D.C. is a favored conduit of the CCSS Machine, we know a lot of evidence is waiting to be exposed. Federal budgets have lots of money…and lots of evidence we can trace.

Every day we hesitate, the more ingrained the CCSS Machine becomes in the new Administration. Warriors, we saw the CCSS Machine take up residence in D.C. during the previous Administration. The Machine is STILL there.

Warriors, do not simply look at the Blueprint’s ‘Dept. of Education’ budget items. Read the WHOLE thing.

I wish I could tell you that the CCSS presence has been eliminated with Mr. Trump’s Blueprint. It hasn’t.

Flummox Awaits Us:

(*Note: ‘flummox’ is an old word for being bewildered or perplexed.)

Flummox #1): So, in Trump’s Blueprint, did ‘Common Core’ get the axe? Not by name. There were some things involving CCSS, but not too many. Warriors, eliminating CCSS in one area (no matter how huge), means it survives elsewhere.

Flummox #2): Did the Dept. of Ed receive cuts? Yes, but are those cuts enough? That, my Warriors, remains to be seen.

Flummox #3): While the President’s Blueprint is not the entire Federal Budget, the word ‘blueprint’ suggests that what the President wants may be changed by Congress.

When will “We the People” get to see the entire 2018 federal budget? What other CCSS Machine ties will be revealed when We see it? Will We have time to influence Congress or will it be too late?

degrees

A First Glance At The Blueprint:

Mr. Trump has identified (in the opening pages of the Blueprint) that the following federally funded activities/groups/services will be eliminated if his Budget requests are approved.

I’ve researched each of of these and have proven their CCSS ties. I’ve provided the previous published articles so you can go back and read just how deep those CCSS ties go. We’ll need to know which groups will be spinning the pro-CCSS rhetoric in the coming days.)

National Endowment of the Humanities

National Endowment of the Arts

PBS (proof)
*Note: be sure to scroll down to see PBS’s embedding in ESSA.

Institute of Library and Museum Services
*Note: there are at least 2 other related articles mentioned in this one. Find them here and here.
We should also note the question posed in the ‘Services’ article. If local areas cannot match federal funds, services like your libraries will close.

Woodrow Wilson International Center of Scholars (my article delved into the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Program. Both are under the same logo.) In the Blueprint, it is unclear how and if the International funding cut will impact the entire Woodrow Wilson organization.

21st Century Community Learning Centers
*Note: of the many articles surrounding 21stCCLCs, this is probably the most relevant considering the Blueprint.

Be sure to see the other connections you’ll also see in the Blueprint. Also remember, Warriors, 21st CCLCs are codified in ESSA. Will Trump’s elimination of CCSS, repeal ESSA?!

Blueprint Agency Items “I Can Do No Other With”:

Martin Luther’s passion for truth and his boldness for making the evidence public drove him to state the declaration you see above. I like that boldness. While he found 95 pieces of evidence for action,  I’ve been able to identify 85 Concerns in the President’s Blueprint.  Here is the link to my special Guide detailing them.

To use the Guide, simply open the link. All red highlighted words will have several of my previously published articles which directly relate to each of the Agencies in the Blueprint.

Use the research to help you formulate your dissent to seeing MORE Common Core (and all its related entities) continued in the 2018 Budget!

Use any of the research to help you create a way to help remind the President of his campaign promise to rid us of Common Core. To rid us of the name only, solves nothing.

Lastly, share the Guide, as you see fit. Knowledge about the CCSS Machine is what keeps us powerful. We should be making as much of a protest about the Blueprint as we did about the new Secretary of Education’s confirmation.

No, we should be making MORE noise. We should demand a full repeal of any and all federal activity overreaching into education.

Warriors, it will take MORE than alerting the Oval Office with our priorities. We need to be ‘nailing these points to Congress’s doors. We need to be shouting these pieces of evidence boldly.

Warriors, we must do all of this. To do less, is something we should not permit. To take a ‘wait and see’ attitude could be dangerous to our fellow citizens.
Why? The federal budget impacts every age group, not a select few. With so much of the CCSS Machine still in our education, we must be a modern day Martin Luther of Joan of Arc.

The Delusion Games

Anti CCSS Warriors and those Against the CCSS Machine, have you seen the delusions of grandeur being manufactured at almost break neck speed lately?!

Between the stacked deck of pro CCSS folks being tagged for leadership and the main stream media cranking out plenty of false positives about education, it’s enough to make our heads spin.

For example, recently Tom VanderArk’s “Getting Smart” website shared a guest written article about personalized learning in the classroom. Now, if you’ve heard of Mr. VanderArk, you know he is a master deceiver when it comes to a quality education. He’s absolutely, 100% sold out to the CCSS Machine’s reform. Part of the reoccurring message he (and others like him) shares is how fantastic ‘personalized’ learning is.

What these deceivers don’t count on is that we, the Warriors, are onto their delusions. “Personalized” learning in the “Era of ESSA” is code for ‘competency based education designed to NOT teach, but to CONFORM’.

“Personalized” learning is also code for digitally based data mining. “Personalized” learning is also being used to create false positive results when it comes to assessing how much our students are learning. Put another way, the digital based ‘personalization’ constantly grades on a steep curve.

In this context, the CCSS Machine banks on the fact that the general population HEARS ‘personalized’ as ‘custom’. It banks on the fact that when we hear ‘custom’, we PERCEIVE it as ‘exclusive’.

As a society, we are taught that ‘exclusive’ is special, is to be sought after. That somehow ‘exclusive’ means BETTER than everything else.

We are taught that by having something ‘exclusively’ means we have something NO ONE else can have.

Warriors, ‘personalized learning’ via ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is a masterful delusion of epic proportions. ESSA also has a tremendous amount of Competency Based teaching/learning. ‘Personalizing’ it mocks true teaching/learning.

EVERY student will have the same type of education, there is NO true “personalization”! Only illusions.

As long as education is funneled through competency based Common Core/Career Tech Education/College and Career Readiness and all that goes with it, the delusions live on.

The Article:

“Getting Smart” featured  a letter to the President-elect/new administration written by a KnowledgeWorks staff member, Lillian Pace. Warriors, KnowledgeWorks is another 100% sold out to the CCSS Machine member organization. I’ve researched them in the past and have shared with you how deeply their allegiance to the education reform runs. This group is not after our students aligning, it is after our ENTIRE communities being aligned to conformity based education, life, and everything connecting the two. Below is a screen shot from one of my 2014 articles. This was the first one I wrote about KnowledgeWorks (KW).

14kw

A big selling point for ‘personalized’ learning is digital badging, or coding. To see how KnowledgeWorks has been involved in this:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/05/04/monday-musings-learning-for-whom/

So, What Did Ms. Pace Direct To Mr. Trump’s Attention?

The Deluded Sales Pitch Points:
a) leverage the vast amount of innovation occurring across the country to help States and school districts build an education system that provides all learners with access to a personalized education that enables them to master the knowledge and skills critical to success in college and career
How did KW propose the President-elect and his staff accomplish this?! MORE incentives! As if Race to the Top’s incentives didn’t teach our nation about how badly the carrots-on-a-stick delusion worked.

b) Post-secondary Transition Innovation Funds where the money would be “administered jointly by all Department offices with a stake in K–12 and post-secondary policy

c) Create a Pathway Program for employment. While WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) already ‘gave’ us ‘personalized learning for employment’ (Career Tech Education, Career Pathways, Career Tracks, Career Clusters, American Apprenticeships, etc.), this NEW  Pathway “would have the “federal government and the employer would equally share the cost of tuition; however, the federal government would reimburse the employer if it employs an individual for two years after obtaining a credential.”

d) Increase dual enrollment and early college high schools. Warriors, each of these are already ‘personalized’ to not only WIOA, but  to CCSS, CTE, and will increase via ESSA! We do not need MORE of what has already been passed into law. The same can be said for Points A, B, and C!

Closing:

If you’d like to see the slick CBE (Competency Based Education) ‘personalized’ learning sales pitch KnowledgeWorks has produced to help our nation see how valuable it is.Listen for the key educratic buzzwords, as well, Warriors. Especially ‘every child succeeds’.:

The Education Road

Greetings, my fellow anti CCSS/ESSA/Fed Led Ed Warriors! What happens when education reform meets P3 (public private partnerships)/ ESSA, CCSS Machine funding dollars AND involves a bus?!

The  education (with its agenda and all)  comes to your neighborhood for students AND their families!

The Mobile Move:

Seen recently, was this headline, “Mobile Recreation Unit Builds Bonds in a Fun Way”.
See the article: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/community/lake-norman-mooresville/article93901902.html

*Note: be sure to watch the embedded video. Listen for the ‘expanded learning opportunities for the community’. Note also, the assistance for this comes from community agencies. Why do this even bear paying attention to? The ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) gives your SEAs (State Education Agencies) and your LEAs (Local Education Agencies) more power to use in approving community agencies in the name of ‘student outcomes’ and/or ‘student achievement’.

So, our next questions should be, what entities are involved in ‘expanded learning opportunities’ for students and their families? What do they look like and HOW does all this really point back to the CCSS Machine?

The Entities In My Town:

1) Mooresville Cultural and Recreation Services (MCRS), according to the article the Staff at the MCRS works hard to build P3 relationships. Why? To help the ‘economically challenged’ students/families. While the concept is noble and great, knowing that in the ESSA are mandates for “expanding learning opportunities” in ways which will involve our entire community’s alignment is troublesome. Knowing also, how much of ESSA is written to target ‘at-risk’ or ‘low-income students’ is also worth being on our radars. The last ESSA concern I saw in the article? The ‘driving the students home’. ESSA covers that expense with our taxpayer dollars.

What other community locations are under the MCRS? Our public library, a public golf course, and our citizen center in downtown. How can I tie this back to the CCSS Machine? The public library! (See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/07/03/hitting-the-books-part-2/); Part One is embedded as a link. You can see the libraries are not only part of the CCSS Machine, but to Common Core,  Career Tech Education, College and Career Readiness, community alignment, and the ESSA, WIOA, and the HEA. (WIOA: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; HEA: Higher Education Act)

2) The City Government is a natural partner. How? The Recreation Dept. is part of our city’s government. Cities receive federal and state money all the time.

Look at the opportunities connected with ESSA from the City Government’s Rec. Dept. document.Mooresville
From Page 5 of the “Master Plan” you can find out how tax subsidies offset some of the Recreation Dept.’s cost. You can also find the current Rec. Dept. Partners, “SPONSORS / PARTNERS Currently, the Department has multiple partners such as the Mooresville’s Police and Fire Departments, Christian Mission, I-Care, Benchwarmers, Imagine Music Group, Mooresville Grade School, etc. A majority of the partners have formal agreements with the Department that help raise money, provide their services and/or spaces for programs and events, cover program cost, etc. ” (*Note: Page 6 will show you how “Crowd Funding” is also being used to cover costs.)

What else will the “Master Plan” reveal in its 153 pages?
* You will find the educratic buzzwords of ‘inclusion’, ‘equity’, ‘stakeholders’; you will see the surveys where the citizens voiced where they wanted their tax dollars focused on (that’s weird, I do not recall getting a survey like this and I pay taxes here);
* You will see lots of data (includes the U.S. Census) and graphs used to support the moves; you’ll see the increased push for social and economic equality;
* You’ll see how Mooresville has a goal for being a “Gold Medal” City*, as well as a few other items. (*Note: A “Gold Medal City” is the award given to any size community by the National Parks and Recreation Association (NPRA)

You can learn more about the NPRA’s Gold Medal for Excellence Program:
http://www.parksandrecreation.org/2016/January/The-National-Gold-Medal-Award-Program-for-Excellence/

Briefly: NPRA is a national, not-for-profit organization. Some of the same CCSS Machine member organizations also partner with the NPRA.) Look below at what I found in their “Strategic Plan”

NPRA

Here are the CCSS Machine member organizations funding the NPRA:

NPRAReport
Just think, my place of residence is clamoring to be a ‘Gold Medal City’….

Before we move on, it is important to note that the use of educratic buzzwords is most effective when applied to the pseudo-educational ways the CCSS Machine and ESSA are supporting.

For the Warrior Number Crunchers:

So since I am a resident of Mooresville, pay taxes, and OPPOSE the CCSS Machine, where are my dollars going? Has anyone considered how the education reform is the modern day “TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION”?! Directly related to the article, is the below image.

towntax

For our 2017 City Budget, just under  $99 million is being reported by the official Mooresville City Government website. ($98,929,412.00 to be exact). Included in the big bucks are not only the funds to continue the Rec.Departments, the schools, and all the places they intersect, but the Community Development Grants. These grants are top-down funded, AND fit right into the ESSA’s mandates for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Promise Neighborhoods, PreK Development, and more. Community Development projects can also be under other names like ‘Capital Improvement Projects'( CIPs).

Where Warriors Need to Look in Your Area:

*1:  Use what I have found in my town as an example to look in your town.

*
2:  CIPs are a key place to look for more ‘hiding-in-plain-sight’ CCSS Machine/ESSA ties. Why? Any public space or service receives these funds.

*3: You’ll also want to see how much of the FEMA funding your town receives. FEMA is a key part of the Agenda 21/UN (United Nations) portion of the CCSS Machine.

*4:  Look at groups like the FFYF (First Five Years Fund). From birth to age 5 education  is also embedded in the ESSA. Birth to 5 will also encompass in home visits in your communities.
See the agenda and support FFYR gives ESSA: http://ffyf.org/our-focus/every-student-succeeds-act-essa/

*5:  Look at the Head Start or Early Head Start Programs in your area. I exposed these:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/10/08/tech-thursday-technically-speaking-for-ccss/

*6: What plans does your town/city/area have for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, after school programs, or related family wrap-around services? Here is what the National After School Alliance has  on ESSA’s mandates (*Note: the use of ‘expanded learning opportunities’ is seen):
http://www.afterschoolalliance.org/documents/ESSA-Opportunities-for-Afterschool.pdf

*7:  What Digital upgrades are you seeing in your area? Just down the road, in Charlotte, NC is the headline making news of the Google Fiber system being completed. Commercials sell it as everyone will be more connected/have better and faster internet. What the commercials are leaving out is how Charlotte is considered a leader in the nation for “Smart Cities”*, that Google is part of the CCSS Machine, or the fact that digital and technology upgrades are mandates of ESSA. No, it is being used as a ‘hiding-in-plain-sight’ tactic.

Closing:

Warriors, what other CCSS Machine items are ‘hiding’ in your area? What alignment to ESSA are you already seeing that is turning out to be much more negative than we were told it would be? What foundations are being laid to align entire areas to the infrastructure ESSA needs to survive? The efforts are there, we MUST expose them. We must not read an article in a weekly paper and take it at face value. Why? Look at the tangled CCSS/ESSA trail I found just from a short newspaper article and a short video.

Raising the Bar for $20K?

Anti CCSS/Fed Ed Warriors, we have heard the phrase ‘Raising the Bar’ SO many times by the CCSS Machine, it is probably one of those phrases we easily dismiss. However, I really wonder if we should.  Many pro CCSS educators/leaders/supporters will use the phrase to wax heroic over how great this year has been especially at graduation ceremonies; how the aligned education has served our school districts well (in testing, especially) and how it (lessons, alignment, and testing) will be even better next year; as well as to inspire everyone.

BUT…what are they really saying? What is really meant when ‘raising the bar’ is used to make next year (2017-18) sound ‘appealing’? From what I can tell, there is NO GOOD thing, much less, anything appealing for ANYONE in education in 2017-18.

The Truth in the Words:

“Raising the Bar” is a business phrase. NOT an educational one. The screen shot below is from a website for business people, not educators. It gives you a brief history of the phrase and its business roots..NOT educational roots.

bizbar

To read the entire article, which is also mostly interchangeable in the  CCSS Machine way of ruining education, see: http://bizshifts-trends.com/2013/04/11/raise-the-bar-push-harder-dig-deeper-move-goalpost-meaningful-change-set-high-expectation-praise-results-recognize-achievement/

The business website’s article link will tell you (should you read the entire article) that minimums, averages, and being normal or traditional are unacceptable. THIS is what we are seeing in a CCSS Machine aligned education, too! Warriors, it will only continue to fail with ESSA, too. (ESSA: Every Student Succeeds Act)

Shifting Education to Workforce (Raising the CCSS/Workforce Bar):

A simple statement you can use which conveys the epic truth. CCSS LOWERS the bar in education!

For a bit more in-depth statement:

“Common Core Machine (Common Core Standards, Career Tech Ed, Career Pathways or Clusters, STEM Pathways or Clusters, American Apprenticeships, among others, with P3 backing) + WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) + RttT (Race to the Top) + ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) + HEA (Higher Education Act) = Lowering the Bar/Shift from academics to workforce!” (source: Lynne M Taylor)

Just seen today (6/9/16):

During the noon time news, the slot below was shared as not only a great achievement by the CharMeck (Charlotte-Mecklenburg) School System, but used to congratulate the newly employed students. How does ‘raising the bar’ play into this story?
The CCSS Machine member CMS Superintendent used the phrase to spur listeners on in not only hopes for next year, but in anticipation of the scores, the end of year assessments will show.

junefb

While I cannot access the WBTV clip (I think the noon news hasn’t been uploaded yet), I can show you HOW the CMS (CharMeck School System) is already well on the CCSS Machine Career Path track.

CMS’s Raising the Bar (CCSS/Workforce Aligned Education) for $20K?

The Strategy Plan (titled ‘Strategic Plan 2018’) for workforce based education is NOT exclusive to CMS. It is in every state. CMS, however appears to based their strategy on a contest.

Yes, you read correctly..a contest! GE (General Electric, a HUGE P3 CCSS Machine member) conducted a global contest with a $20,000.00 prize.

Here is an excerpt of explanation given in the Strategic Plan 2018,
General Electric is an American company and a global giant. GE manufactures appliances, healthcare products, aviation and train engines, advanced energy  technology devices, medical equipment and more. The company’s Niskayuna, NY-based research lab draws on the expertise of its own engineers from around the world—and everyone else through online design contests. The recent GE Engine Bracket Challenge offered a reward to anyone who could design a lighter, better bracket for a jet engine to increase fuel efficiency. The prize was $20,000. The New York Times columnist Tom Friedman reports that, in all, 697 contestants from around the world – companies, individuals, graduate students and designers—competed, with a majority of them coming from outside the aviation industry. What did the GE contestants need to successfully compete? Higher-level thinking skills. Digital and technological competency and access. Literacy, numeracy and content mastery. Creativity and the ability to innovate. Motivation and the desire to compete. Communications and entrepreneurship skills to share ideas.”
Every student in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools today will enter a workforce that requires the same skills and competencies needed to successfully compete in the GE contest. In the rapidly changing workforce of tomorrow, jobs that require easily replicated, rote skills will be gone—automated or outsourced. The factory model job is gone and it’s not coming back. The jobs that remain will be those that require creativity, agility and critical thinking. It is our challenge—our privilege and responsibility as educators, caregivers and members of the community—to ensure that every student in every school leaves CMS with those skills and competencies. Working together, we can provide the schools our students need and deserve. We can provide schools that move beyond the four walls of a classroom to offer global teaching and learning experiences, unfettered creativity and inspiration to become lifelong learners.”
(Page 3 of the 32 page Plan)

So why am I showing you CMS’s Strategy? It is the biggest school district in the State where I live. Again, look at the number graduating over the next few days from CMS: 9,000. That is larger than some towns! Each and every one of these young people has been force fed in the CCSS workforce based educational system.

The Charlotte news station was BRAGGING about it! The CMS Superintendent was glowing over it! All the while, the listeners are more than likely thinking, ‘great for everyone’. Graduates with jobs already!

To see the rest of the Workforce Based Strategy:
http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/mediaroom/strategicplan2018/Documents/StrategicPlan2018.pdf

Below is a page from the Plan I just couldn’t leave unseen. Be sure to find the 6 accompanying goals to make all that appears in the highlighted portions a reality. (see Page 5)

cmsstrat
Oh, when did all this Strategy TRULY begin? According to this CMS Plan, 2012. The date this Strategic Plan was published? 2013. I am sure if we dug deeper, we would find the foundation dates back further than 2012.

I am leaving you with one final screen shot from the CMS Strategic Plan 2018. I think you can see why. ‘Raising the bar’, whether in Charlotte, NC or elsewhere, is a BAD thing when the CCSS Machine is the force behind the educational reform. IF this is ‘raising the bar’, we are certainly ‘lowering our freedoms’.
