The AIM’s The Same

Anti Fed Ed Warriors, we’ve heard that beauty’s skin deep, right? What Congress is doing to our education system (birth to adult) isn’t beautiful. It’s disgraceful.

headlessCCSS
Congress, I want MORE than just a shell of who my students used to be.

AIMing for Students:

Warriors, if you’ve not heard of HR 4029 (AIM Act of 2017), you are about to.
“AIM” stands for ‘Accurate Income Measure’. The purpose? To direct Secretary Betsy DeVos where income data for cosmetology students is concerned. It ties the U.S. Dept. of Education to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).

Currently, HR 4029 is in the House’s Education and Workforce Committee (where it’s been since October 2017). Introduced by Rep. Jackie Speier (CA), this Bill DOES limit DeVos’s powers in some ways, but then allows her to use her power in some very concerning ways.

Any data, even ‘income data’ should be part of our privacy, not up for grabs to share. However, we know, that at least 9 different federal agencies freely share our private data.

What spurred HR 4029? It appears it’s a reaction to a lawsuit where DeVos’s use of student data was capricious. (*Note: the AACS, American Association of Cosmetology Schools not only brought the lawsuit about, but has a “Government Relations Committee” as members of the US Dept. of Education. Their Committee also is in the executive and legislative branches.)

Rather than punish DeVos, this Bill redirects her use of student data in the name of insuring students get good paying jobs. But, look closer at the lawsuit and contrast it with the Bill.

Speier’s Stance:

Warriors, I wanted us to take a few moments to look at Rep. Speier’s stance on education. While I searched her website, I didn’t see any official statement, but I did find that she supports the technology bridge between the private sector and the federal government especially where education and jobs connect. I also found, where in 2009, she was seeking federal funds for expanding CBE (Competency Based Education) for students in college. The major? Early childhood education. (look below)

According to the Open Secrets website, the University of California is among Rep. Speier’s top campaign contributors.

Where Cosmetology Is In the CBE (Competency Based Education)?

Warriors, according to the CTE (Career Tech Education) Clusters, ‘cosmetology’ is found in the ‘human services’ cluster. Since there are only 16 Career Clusters, and many types of jobs in human services, ‘cosmetology’ is listed in the personal care track.

onetcosmSource

So, Warriors, this begs the question: since HR 4029 unites  Federal Education to the Tax Department, where will Labor Department fit in? Answer: the shared data!

*************************************************************************************

Back in Dec. 2014, I revealed to you how Cengage (a huge CCSS Machine member) is the main publisher for CBE/CTE Common Core books, courses, assessments, and, resources.
Among them? The “Milady” resources used for training cosmetologists. (*Note: Cengage has a profile on Rep. Speier’s votes. To access it, go here.)

Warriors, not only will we find cosmetology courses in K-12th grades and community colleges, there are several privately owned cosmetology companies/schools out there.

I showed you the dangers of privately owned companies using the same textbooks and resources of the CCSS Machine and how harmful this is. A big tactic for cosmetology schools used against students is ‘free’ technology upon registration.

ICYMI:

From the AACS’s website, this career-ready course can be found:

aacs.jpg

Since cosmetology courses are CCSS aligned and each school teaching it receives federal funds, where would find those funding streams? A huge one is the E-rate. I exposed that information in 2016.

Lastly, Warriors, HR 4029 will impact the HEA (Higher Education Act). Since that law is being re-written, watch for how ‘gainfully employed’ may be defined. Will the true definition remain, or, will that change to reflect the CCSS Machine’s alignment? With the massive amounts of data needed, what new(er) student data raping algorithms will be inserted into the ‘new’ HEA?

Closing:

So, Warriors, this Bill focusing on ONE career is troubling. Will this AIM legislation be attached to all careers? Will that AIM be embedded in the House and Senate versions of HEA (House’s version is the PROSPER Act; Senate’s is the Higher Education Innovation Act). Will this type of AIM be embedded in other HEA amendment bills? (There are tons of these, by the way.)

Why is a CA Representative who is usually championing for women and the military concerning herself with cosmetology students? I believe, Rep. Speiers, is like all the other sold out legislators who believe CBE is the only alignment needed to make education and jobs matter. How disgraceful.

FTF: Education Degradation

boyernation2
For those of us finding ourselves fighting against the modern education reform (Common Core, Next Generation, College/Career Readiness, Career Tech Education, etc.), it is increasingly alarming when the degradation of our nation is turning up in textbooks. The textbook above, is one geared for high schoolers, but there is also a post-secondary companion book. Both are FULL of not only CCSS, but a degraded view of America.

For today’s ‘From the Files’, we will look at how this ties to the global agenda which is part and parcel of the CCSSI (Common Core State Standards Initiative). This Initiative is alive and preserved in educational laws of the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and the HEA (Higher Education Act). The Initiative is also embedded in the labor law, WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act).

Where You Can Find the CCSSI in the ESSA:

As I have previously researched, written, and shared, the CCSSI is in 4 distinct locations of the ESSA, both in the Final Conference Report (the over 1,000 page document) as well as the Final Law Version (391 pages).

Back in January 2016, I wrote a series of articles designed for those running in elections so the candidates would be as armed as possible with HOW the ESSA would impact their districts, states, and our nation. It was in the second article of this series where I explained WHAT the CCSSI is. See this excerpt, “What do I mean by the CCSS Initiative? Simply put it refers to the entire scope of not only the CCS Standards, but the agenda which accompanies it; the resources (including curriculum and assessments); and ANYTHING else connected to the Common Core.” (*Note: if you missed that article OR simply wish to see what other evidence I presented, https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/25/school-board-special-part-two/)

Since College/Career Readiness, Career Tech Education, etc. ARE parts of the Initiative, as well as connected to Common Core, the Initiative can be found in the HEA, too! See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/12/05/weekend-news-essas-untold-ties-to-hea/ (*Note: this article also shows you exactly HOW the WIOA is part of the Initiative as well!)

The Global Aspect of the Initiative:

This previously published article of mine, from 2015, will use the global ties to CCSS (and all its other names) as an example of where those in other States can find their global ties! See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/11/09/monday-musings-global-readiness-and-ccss/

This article about the UNESCO/CCSS Ideology exposed a K-12 textbook in use in the classrooms. See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2016/01/21/ccssunesco-ideology-anyone/ (*Note: It also points you to the 21st Century UNESCO living goals. America has its version of these, too!)

The “American Nation” Book From Above:

According to Amazon, the secondary textbook was published by Harcourt (a well known member of the CCSS Machine) back in 1994.  However,  if you look closely at the screen shot above, you see Holt, Rinehart, and Winston (HRW). HRW is part of the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. Hougthton Mifflin Harcourt is most definitely part of the degradation in education!

Notice in the screen shot above the author was Paul S. Boyer. If you do not know much about Boyer, that is about to change. Let’s start with the biography of his from the American Historical Association (https://www.historians.org/publications-and-directories/perspectives-on-history/may-2012/in-memoriam-paul-boyer) Below is a screen shot of it. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge it in another tab on your computer. It is there you can see his ties to not only the UN (UNESCO), but Harvard (another well known member of the CCSS Machine).

boyerbio
Be sure to listen to his interview where he discussed both books, the American Nation and the Enduring Vision. Notice how he is referred to as the ‘driver of a bus’. This means he is steering students to what to read, learn, and buy into! It is important to point out, as well, that much of the interview is geared for religion being included in history. The interview is in two parts: Part One is directly below.

See:

Part Two:

Did you notice how the author shared that the books were (in 2009) on their 7th edition and how the constraints of the publisher dictated how many pages had to be excluded or shortened? This means not near as much content can be included in what students, high school or in post-secondary, learn!

The visual evidence of the American Nation textbook can be seen below. These are the pictures shared this past weekend on Twitter, both to my @commoncorediva feed and elsewhere by at least 6  dedicated anti CCSS/Fed Ed Warriors!

Here is another look at the same high school textbook:

Amazon has this textbook ranked as one of its best selling textbooks.
Amazon has this textbook ranked as one of its best selling textbooks.

As far as the post-secondary Enduring Vision? It is part of Cengage Learning. I first wrote about the ties to CCSS/CTE and Cengage back in 2015 in a two part article set about ‘Upskilling our Nation’. See Part 2, where you can see HOW Cengage is tied to the degradation in education: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/05/07/tech-thursday-upskilling-america-part-2/

Below is a screen shot of how I was able to tie Enduring Vision to Cengage:

You can find the Enduring Vision on Amazon, too. Here is a screen shot of what I found when I chose the ‘Look Inside’ feature.

Boyer and the UN/UNESCO:

As far as I can tell Paul S. Boyer can be found among the documents of the UN (United Nations). You need to know there is also a Paul D. Boyer with the UN. Paul S. is recognized as a historian, Paul D.  is recognized as a scientist. You can access this brief UN file of noted people/books where you will find Paul S. Boyer. Note the other topics and read their brief descriptions as well. I have not been able to find out WHY these people/books are grouped this way. That is certainly a question which needs answering.
Access the file: Veryshortintro

UN/UNESCO and the Global Education Movement:

Related to the topic of today’s article is this 1996 UN Report on Global Education. Why this one? Boyer’s first publication date of the textbooks featured above has been reported as 1994. This 1996 Report is just two years after that. You can find, on page 81, the heading Education Reform for Change. America is specifically mentioned here. Get the entire ReportUN1996

From my previously published work, this excerpt, “This article details the plan for global Common Core (or Common Core-like) education through the year 2030.
It ties the UN, UNESCO, the Gates Foundation, and others together. Not too surprising if you’ve fought the CCSS Machine for awhile, but if you’re new to the battle, this is a vital piece.” See the article I am referring to:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/05/20/wybi-global-ed-for-all-through-2030/

Closing:

I thank those Warriors who have shared their findings with me and who have asked for my help in finding out more. Knowledge is power, so keep the information coming. I will continue to do my best to research any leads. As far as exactly WHEN and HOW Boyer shifted from the interviews above to the pictures you see has yet to be uncovered. What is clear is that the words spoken and the words printed do NOT reflect the same message.

Tech Thursday: Upskilling America: Part 2

Today is Part 2 of our look into
Today is Part 2 of our look into “Upskilling”.

Yesterday, I introduced you to the big push for Career Tech Education (the adult version of Common Core) from the AACC’s WDI (American Association of Community College’s Workforce Development Institute) perspective. There was quite a bit revealed. From the acknowledged partnership of  the Gates Foundation, but the Gates Foundation grant recipient (the grant was to purposefully align to CCSS), Khan Academy, to the AACC’s desire to help align K-12 through college.
However, there was SO much MORE in between.
Today, we will learn a bit more about the organization and go into a bit more detail about some of the ‘loose ends’ from yesterday’s article. If you’ve not had the opportunity to access the article, here’s the link:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/05/06/wybi-upskilling-america-part-1/
I’ve also included the link to the Tamara Scott Radio Show where she invited me to discuss the “Upskilling of America”. Here’s the link to the archived discussion. My portion will begin at the 18:51 time mark. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/61959153

Picking Up Where I Left Off:

In yesterday’s post there were several groups or CCSS/CTE geared activities I said I’ve reveal more in Part 2. This is that section. I’ll be going in order of those indications. If you need to open one window of your internet browser with “Part 1” and another with “Part 2”, that would help you keep as much organized for future reference as possible.

A) Cengage’s tie to Career Tech Ed (therefore it’s tie to CCSS):
First, the website: http://www.cengage.com/us/

What they do (in their own words): “Cengage Learning is a leading educational content, technology, and services company for the higher education and K–12, professional and library markets worldwide.”
(*Note: Since data and the privacy of it is a ‘big deal’, I’m including the link to the privacy statement. Why? Be sure to see how special conditions are laid out (for example: Cengage and all its websites may have different privacy parameters)

The Common Core/Career Tech Ed tie?: Yes, it’s there. If you’ve heard of “Ed2Go”, that’s Cengage. If you’ve used a Delmar course book or used a National Geographic educational resource, that’s also Cengage. Here’s Cengage’s National Geographic CCSS page: http://ngl.cengage.com/assets/html/ccss/ ; Here’s Cengage’s Workforce CTE partner page: http://solutions.cengage.com/WorkforceDevelopment/Partnerships/
(*Note: Related to this is Cengage’s involvement with ACTE (Association for Career and Techncial Education). ACTE is also in unison with P21, Partnership for 21st Century Skills, and the NASDCTEc (National Association of School Directors of Career and Technical Education Consortium). Read the announcement: http://www.p21.org/news-events/press-releases/986-acte-nasdctec-and-p21-release-qup-to-the-challengeq-report)

Even more about Cengage:
If you’ve fought CCSS very long, you know Houghton Mifflin Publishing is also CCSS aligned (as are their CTE items). However, Cengage was able to buy HM’s higher education assets. Cengage has a global impact. Here’s the (undated) press release from Cengage’s website: http://news.cengage.com/higher-education/cengage-learning-completes-acquisition-of-houghton-mifflin-college-division-assets/
Here’s a screen shot you’ll need to see:

Be sure to enlarge this so you can see the source cited.
Be sure to enlarge this so you can see the source cited.

Who’s invested in Cengage? I found one group called APAX Partners (a UK based private equity firm). APAX was worth over $40 billion on 12/31/14. They list Cengage as worth $12 billion. (See Cengage’s page on the APAX site: http://www.apax.com/investments/traditional-media/our-investments/cengage-learning/ then, APAX’s funding page: http://www.apax.com/inside-apax/company/funds/) There’s an article I found that tells MUCH more to the story of APAX and Cengage’s interaction. You’ll need to read it for yourselves to fully appreciate the situation–especially when you read Cengage whisked away Pearson Publishing’s Chief Education Salesman. See: http://www.ctpost.com/news/article/Apax-buys-Cengage-debt-with-equity-in-danger-4428532.php ,Then, http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2012-12-12/cengage-hires-pearson-s-education-sales-chief-stone
One last tidbit about APAX, they were vying for the Pearson IDC (Interactive Data Corporation). Here’s an excerpt, “Apax Partners has dropped out of the auction for Interactive Data Corp. (IDC), the U.S.-listed financial data provider majority owned by U.K. publisher Pearson PLC (PSO), a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires Wednesday. Pearson, which also publishes the Financial Times newspaper and owns a large U.S. educational publishing business, hired Goldman Sachs (GS) in January to conduct a “preliminary review of strategic alternatives” for IDC in which it has a 61% stake.” To see the entire article, http://www.advfn.com/nyse/StockNews.asp?stocknews=IDC&article=42111039

One last thing about Cengage (be sure to enlarge it to see the ‘slap in the face’ title):

Here's one idiot book I can do without.
Here’s one idiot book I can do without.

B) Dr. Bumphus and “Camelot”:

If you’ve been able to watch the video I shared in yesterday’s article, you’ve been able to hear Dr. Bumphus’ words about community colleges. In yesterday’s post was just one of the articles laying out the parts that make up this “Camelot” time for community colleges. However, I wanted to see if we could find more.
For starters, I first wrote about Dr. Bumphus back in April 2015. I was looking into CHEA (Council for Higher Education) and its links to CTE and CCSS, boy did I find a tremendous amount of information! I won’t repeat all of it here, but I do encourage you to read the article. There is SO much you can use in your fight against the CCSS Machine! See: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/ftf-chea-cte-ccss-and-america/

As far as another one of those “Camelot” speeches or bullet points, I was able to find this one from Winston-Salem, NC. In it you’ll be able to read how not only that he is an inspiration to some, but where he used to work (Voyager Expanded Learning’s Higher Education division), and that among his closest friends is the head of the NC Community College’s governing body, Dr. Scott Rall. Notice also that he’s served on several presidential task forces. As far as Dr. Randall’s influence, consider his NC General Assembly report.
Scott Ralls – CTE in NCCCS
Now, why would I include this report? In the article from Winston-Salem, Dr. Bumphus made sure he called NC’s community colleges a success. As a leader who is brimming with “Camelot” talk, ‘success’ is part of that feeling. It also can’t hurt that if we’re so busy trying to align all our post-secondary education, that we use each other’s models to continue the ‘collaboration’ factor involved. Dr. Rall’s report also shows those national certificates that Tamara and I were discussing in the radio interview.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about Voyager, here’s an article I found about Voyager being sold, http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/proquest-company-to-acquire-voyager-expanded-learning-75817707.html When you read it, notice how expansive the Voyager reach was. Notice the partners like Smithsonian and Discovery Channel…both are ‘all in’ when it comes to CCSS/STEM and CTE. To see Discovery Learning’s (notice how many channels are involved) CCSS page: http://corporate.discovery.com/search/?search_what=ALL&search_terms=common+core+&search_by=0
Smithsonian’s page: http://www.si.edu/Search/Index/default/1?q=career%20technical%20education
(*Note: where you find one: CCSS, CTE, or STEM, you’ll find the others)

Dr. Bumphus also mentioned that he laid out all the “Camelot” talk in a C-Span 45 minute video. Here’s the link:
http://www.c-span.org/video/?323798-5/washington-journal-walter-bumphus-community-college-plan

C) Those Aligned School Superintendents:

Back in Sept. 2014, I wrote a series of 3 articles featuring several state superintendents who’ve sold out to CCSS/CTE. I’m providing all the links. Each article has many useful links embedded in them.
First one: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/09/19/fib-o-meter-friday-state-superintendents-common-core-standards/
Second one: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/09/26/fib-o-meter-friday-more-cc-aligned-superintendents/
Third one: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/fib-o-meter-friday-even-more-state-superintendents-common-core/

If you read yesterday’s article or viewed the video, you know Dr. Bumphus called out the upcoming meeting between the Association of School Superintendents and the AACC. The meeting is to accomplish MORE alignment between K-12 and local colleges. AASA (American Association of School Administrators) is the official name of the group known as the “The School Superintendents Association”. I’ve also written about their sellout to all things CCSS, CTE. Both articles AASA are featured in are from 2015.
First one: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/02/13/fom-friday-ccss-cant-be-wrong/
Second one: https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2015/04/23/tech-thursday-caps-via-career-pathways-is-still-ccss/ (*Note: as I always do when I write, all links are provided for your use in your battle)

D) That Re-engineering Ed Conference from Feb. 2015:

Dr. Bumphus also mentioned a conference which was set aside for ‘redesigning education’. Here’s the AACC’s page dedicated to that Feb. 2015 event: http://www.aacc.nche.edu/newsevents/Events/nsrde/Pages/default.aspx
The “Action Plan” presented at the event: Houston Community College

E) Snap-On and Other Corps in CTE Mix:

For this section, I’m including my “Wow!” article about some of the biggest CTE supporters. Snap-On’s main guy was the featured speaker in yesterday’s video. Snap-on is hardly alone in aligning workers via CTE. I’m not spilling the beans of some of the big names supporting it either. I want you to read them for yourselves. See:
https://commoncorediva.wordpress.com/2014/11/16/rmt-vp-unions-career-tech-and-common-core/
If you accessed the Cengage Workforce/CTE partners page above, Skills USA was among them. I point this group out because this was one brought up several times in the video from yesterday. To see how devoted to CTE and STEM, Skills USA is: http://skillsusa.org/about/why-career-technical-education/stem-and-cte-alignment/

Tech Thursday: Post Secondary Publisher CC alignment

For profit post secondary schools aren't missing out on the Common Core.
Post secondary schools aren’t missing out on the Common Core.

Today’s “Tech Thursday” post has us look up close at the big name Common Core aligned publishers and their venture into the educational realm beyond high school.

Post Secondary Textbook Publishers:

Cengage Learning, supports Career and Technical students. They also participate in the SkillsUSA competitions (secondary and post secondary schools: public, proprietary, or private). Aside from Cengage name itself, other Cengage subsidiaries are ‘Chilton’, ‘Delmar’ covering the automotive field via the Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Cluster.  If you’re not familar with “Delmar” if you have an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) mechanic or are one, “Delmar” is the test prep provider. ‘Delmar’ is in the Architecture/Construction Cluster as well. ‘Milady’ is Cengage’s contribution to the cosmetology trade (in the Human Services Cluster) According to their “Cengage Learning” website, their publishing subsidiaries include:  “Cengage Learning’s brands include Brooks/Cole, Course Technology, Delmar, Gale, Heinle, South-Western and Wadsworth.” If you’d like to see Cengage’s higher education economics course (called “Mind Tap”): http://assets.cengage.com/pdf/wp_mindtap_econ.pdf

Pearson Publishing’s Higher Ed:

http://home.pearsonhighered.com/, so much information is here, you may be a bit overwhelmed, at first. However, pick a spot that interests you and jump in. For example, since you’ve been following my blog, you’ve been able to see how the Workforce is tied to Common Core in a post secondary way. So, I chose “Workforce” from the selections offered at the bottom of the page (look for the dark gray portion). Here’s what I got in return. A bit of information and a short video. Check both out: http://pearsonworkforceeducation.com/agency/learn.php If you’d like a sample chapter of how Pearson ‘sell’s the Career Tracking throughout a student’s education, http://www.pearsonhighered.com/educator/product/Career-Trek-The-Journey-Begins/9780131193048.page

Back in 2013, here’s one of the things Pearson was up to, “Released in 2013 and in response to a growing demand for career education, Connections Education’s more than 20 Career and Technology Education courses allow students to explore a variety of careers and gain career-specific knowledge in fields such as sociology, criminal justice, law, astronomy, finance and more. Linking school-based learning with workplace knowledge and skills, the courses include engaging multi-media content, personalized study guides, interactive exercises, and more. The courses are organized in 16 different “Career Clusters®” developed by the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) and span STEM, Law, Public Safety, and Corrections & Security. The courses are offered as electives to high school students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual schools; school districts and other organizations may purchase the courses from Connections Learning by Pearson.” To access Pearson’s on-line CTE “Connections Academy” page, http://www.connectionsacademy.com/curriculum/career-technical-education.aspx You might want to know that Connections is not like you think it may be. What do I mean? Read this, “Connections Academy is a leading, fully accredited provider of high-quality, highly accountable virtual schooling for students in grades K–12. Through tuition-free public schools, full-time and part-time private school programs, and turnkey online courses for brick and mortar schools.”

One last thing, Pearson Publishing has a plethora of subsidiaries. DK Books, Penguin, the Financial Times, and many others. So each of this are more than likely aligned in CCSS content as well.

MacGraw-Hill’s Higher Education:

From their report about Career Core Technical Education (CCTE) that is tied to Common Core via the Career Clusters,

  •  “A new industry sector approach to job training called “Career Pathways” that has been tried and proven successful at increasing employment in several cities and states;
  •  A multi-state consortium that has established common standards for a Career
Readiness Certificate that employers count on to validate work and job-training
    readiness; and
  •  A new approach from McGraw-Hill Education — Contemporary Workforce
Connects™ — that coordinates and connects for the very first time all facets of
the search for work with the resources and curriculum necessary to acquire basic
skills, contextualized to specific occupations, which applicants need for
workplace success.”  See the rest of the report, http://www.mcgraw-hill.com/user-media/New-approaches-to-building-careers-white-paper.pdf

From McGraw-Hill’s “Common Core” page, ‘As a trusted partner in adult education, Contemporary/McGraw-Hill Education is committed to providing adult educators and students with the instructional materials, resources, and professional development tools needed to raise the bar for College and Career Readiness and meet the requirements of groundbreaking reforms such as the Common Core State Standards and new and emerging exams being used to assess high school equivalency and College & Career Readiness.‘ Access the rest, http://www.commoncoresolutions.com/adult_education.php

A glimpse at how McGraw-Hill has promoted their ‘new’ ways:

On a related Career Tech topic:

One of the main groups responsible for promoting and helping organize Career Tech Ed that’s been aligned to CCSS is hosting a National Policy Seminar in March 2015. “Skills for the Hill”. Prices are hefty, but you’ll get the absolute latest in all that is going on in post secondary, secondary, and related CTE news. March 2-4, 2015 in Washington, D.C. Here are just a few of the reasons why those fighting CCSS at the adult level should be there

‘Cultivate your advocacy skills and make a direct impact on Capitol Hill at the National Policy Seminar 2015!

  • Join more than 400 education professionals from across the country to show policymakers that CTE programs provide the skills students need
  • Hear the latest updates on legislative and regulatory issues impacting CTE
  • Influence CTE-related policy initiatives, legislation and funding
