Inclined to Disagree

It’s a new work week, but the same ole rhetoric from D.C. when it comes to the federal role in education.

Late last week, Rep. Kline of the U.S. House of Representatives’s Education and Workforce Committee, released a statement of his disdain for the U.S. Department of Education’s ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) overreach  into teacher preparation for today’s K-12 classrooms. Below is a screen shot. The statement came to my email account.

Sorry, Representative Kline, I disagree with your ‘disdain’. Why? It’s as fake as a $3.00 bill! Quite frankly, the posturing needs to be saved for Broadway, not Washington D.C.’s government chambers and levied on the people as gospel.

Why would I call the Chairman of the Committee’s words false? The research proves it.
For starters IF the Representative had READ the ESSA as thoroughly as he should of BEFORE he voted on it, he would KNOW that the teacher preparation and alignment to the CCSS Machine was ALREADY written in BEFORE Dr. King was confirmed.

Then there the fact he is bosom buddies with Sen. Lamar Alexander!

Add to that that the ENTIRE Ed/Workforce Committee is doing EVERYTHING it can to INCREASE CTE (Career Tech Education, the adult form of K-12’s Common Core/College and Career Readiness)! IF Rep. Kline, again, had read the ESSA as thoroughly as we Warriors did, he’d know that the plan ALL along was to INCREASE the College/Career Readiness via the CTE and Career Pathways. But wait, maybe he DID know and has been playing us all along?!

No matter which, his statement points to using the HEA (Higher Education Act) to FIX the overreach into teacher preparation for leading K-12. Duh?!

What have I been researching and sharing about this all along?! HEA is the LAST link in the cradle to grave education for workers ‘bridge’.

Of COURSE teachers are to be aligned! ESSA states it VERY plainly. So, crying ‘FOUL’ over what Dr. King’s doing is a typical CCSS Machine fallacy-filled move! The biggest fallacy (which has been successfully used repeatedly by the CCSS Machine) is the ‘bandwagon fallacy’. I absolutely love fallacies and logic study. I led several classes for this a few years back. From my favorite logic study authors, the Bluedorn Brothers (“Fallacy Detectives”), here’s a simple example for ‘bandwagon’, “Clyde: “Dad, can I go to see the movie “Attack of the Killer Wombats?” Dad: “No, son, you can’t go. I heard that movie has bad things in it.” Clyde: “Awe, come on, everybody’s going to see it.” ” Below, you’ll see a bit more in-depth example.

Now, I don’t go off on this side bar for nothing. Many of us know that the ‘bandwagon’ has been a major hit in times past. My point however, is this, if we REALLY know how it’s being used against us, we gain another way to strike back!!

In our War vs. the Core, this is vital! Especially with all the policy making going on while Congress is at home. Oh, come on, you don’t think they are SO focused on the elections, they’d let an opportunity to create MORE P3 (public private partnership) opportunities collect dust until AFTER the elections, did you? I haven’t! Here’s why. When ESSA was passed into law, Sen. Alexander declared the HEA was next. Before Rep. Kline left for the Fall break a few weeks ago, he stated that his buddy, Alexander would take care of education when he got back to D.C. after the elections.

Warriors, they are all but baiting us with moves like this. I also think it’s wise to remember that the 2017 Fed Ed Budget (at least while they were still requests) had plenty of evidence about the teacher alignment (aka: professional development). I shared with you then all the CCSS Machine members who were going to be conducting all this development, too.

In a previous article, I shared with you the word play that was going on surrounding the HEA. Here’s an excerpt of why it’s re-authorization should very much be on our radar for action items after the elections, “ The latest re-authorization of the HEA was back in 2008.
1) The first item of business(after the Title description) in the HEA Extension is NOT the Perkins money. (That is, in fact, the second item of business.) The National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) and its Extension.

What does the NACIQI do?
Per the 2008 version of the HEA, this group follows the recommendations of the U.S. Dept. of Education’s Secretary in both accreditation and requirements for higher educational institutions to meet and uphold in order to receive funding. Kline’s supposed distress about the overreach of the U.S. Education, consider this article where I show you the well known groups using the language of ESSA’s mandates to set our school leaders up for alignment. While Kline is not mentioned, his good buddy Alexander sure is. Closing:

Finally, why I think Rep. Kline is being overly dramatic with his bandwagon use.
He knows full well that the U.S. Dept. of Education oversees Higher Education as well as K-12 education, and, early education.

Suggesting an updated piece of legislation (which is illegally based) to fix a problem created by another illegally based (updated) piece of legislation which is overseen by an illegally based federal agency is quite redundant.

It is also a disgrace to our nation’s checks and balances. Lastly, it is one of the most see-through attempts at manipulation over a group of citizens known as Americans, not minions.

King’s Bandwagon..It’s A-comin’

Yes, Anti-Fed Ed Warriors, you saw it correctly…Dr. John King, U.S. Secretary of Education has waxed ‘collective’ when it comes to your students. We’ve known for a while his attitude towards parents, so it shouldn’t be a surprise when he comes up with yet another insulting comment.

Climbing on My Soapbox for a Moment:

‘Everybody’ did not help me birth or raise my children. I didn’t help you birth or raise yours. We CERTAINLY do NOT need the U.S. Dept. of Education’s help either!!
I do NOT desire to see anyone’s child climb on board King’s ‘we’re-all-in-this-together’ bandwagon. The popular mindset in D.C.:  we need as many folks as possible to raise/teach our kids. If this continues: we won’t have a bandwagon of student’s champions, but I fear, village idiots running amuck! It appears, however, that King is determined to get as many on his bandwagon as he can. What do I mean?! Let me climb off my soapbox and we’ll find out.

First Stop, NPR:

Dr. King was a guest on “All Things Considered”, Sept. 3, 2016. You can either listen to the archive or read the transcript of the interview. I am choosing the transcript. The less I have to hear a CCSS Machine disciple spew rhetoric, the better.

As I usually do, I’ll only point out the things that need our attention the most. For example, get a load of the bandwagon-mindset title NPR chose to circulate the interview.
‘King/status quo/unacceptable’ ?!!? Are you kidding me?! Has NO ONE at NPR read ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act)?! Has NO ONE at NPR talked with Congress lately?! Sure, they obviously talked to King, but he’s a CCSS Machine disciple.

Those in the D.C. arm of the CCSS Machine wouldn’t know ‘quality education’ if it sat up and punched them!
King is acting out what the CCSS Machine wants..and it WANTS STATUS QUO citizens!

As far as the interview, here are the bandwagon-worthy statements NPR and/or King had the audacity to utter.
1) NPR: “Earlier this week, his agency proposed new rules that would govern how school districts distribute federal money meant to support the education of low-income kids. The rules are intended to ensure that these federal funds, known as Title I, can only be used in addition to state and local money and not instead of those funds.”

Excuse me, but does anyone see the bandwagon mindset? HIS agency?! Governing how Fed $$ is spent?!

What was included in King’s response? “And so this is really about requiring districts to direct resources to the kids who need them most, to ensure that students have access to pre-K, to advanced coursework, to school counselors.”

Hold the horses, Dr. King! The amount of federal overreach into education has gone far enough! We DO NOT need NOR want more ways for you to require, mandate, order, or govern for us. The ironic thing is that school counselors have been ‘encouraged’ to become Career Track/Pathway and/or College and Career Readiness sales personnel! Pre-K should be up to the parents, not the government. Not every student should go to Pre-K. They need those crucial parental bonding times. (*Note: be sure you read how upset he is over Civil Rights when it comes to AP (Advanced Placement) courses. When you factor in how un-advanced those courses have been reduced to, he should be incensed about that ‘status quo’ move.)

2) The sympathy card is played by both. Whhaaa…Grow up. Most of us have hard times and don’t go on to purposefully muck up millions of students, teachers, education leaders, and abuse taxpayers money to achieve the ‘muckness of it all’.

3) The charter school/school choice card is played. Again, did no one read ESSA? ‘School choice’ is a mirage waiting for us to fall into! Charters are being aligned now to take over public schools in some states as a way to ‘fix’ those low ‘whole school grades/report cards’. If you ever need a fine example of P3 (public private partnership) disasters, look at the CCSS Machine and what’s it’s done to education.

4) NPR: “… is part of the play here on these new regulations is that if affluent schools realize they might lose something, that that might create some urgency around making sure that less affluent kids get what they need – is that part of the logic of this?”

Oh NO they DIDN’T! There is absolutely, positively NOTHING playful about ESSA or Dr. King’s rein as the top person in charge of education at the federal level! As far as ‘logic’, leveling education to a one-size-serves-all is the entire agenda.

This is where King’s response you see in the tweet above comes into context. But..what ELSE did he utter? Here’s the entire set of comments. “I hope in the end it’s that folks see that they have a stake in the success of other people’s children. The reality is you can’t build walls high enough to keep the fate of your kids separate from the fate of the kid down the block, down the street, down the road, in the next community over – all our kids’ fates are bound up together. And the work that we’re doing on supplement not supplant, the work that we’re doing on socioeconomic diversity in schools and promoting efforts to increase school diversity, all of that is about saying we are one community and we are ultimately stronger together.”

Ahh, yes..Dr. King, your global citizenship card is in the mail!

Second Stop, A Fed Ed Tour to Inspire:

Yes, the U.S. Dept. of Ed is, once again, polishing up  their CCSS/CTE (Common Core State Standards/Career Tech Education) indoctrination bandwagon using OUR taxpayer funds to convince (oh wait, sorry, it is to inspire us) all Americans how ‘opportunity’ awaits.

“Opportunity for All” is code for “Mediocrity for All”!

Bandwagon stops: D.C., VA, TN, AL, AR, MS, and LA

What opportunity/mediocrity will King help promote on this latest bandwagon show?
By the way, King is a puppet for the CCSS Machine in each of these.

a) Pell Grants (used in the HEA, Higher Education Act). Pell has been refigured to align with stipulations in WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) This includes “Second Chance Pell Grants”.
b) America’s College Promise (used in secondary and post-secondary education, White House created and federally funded) will be found in ESSA, WIOA, and HEA. Totally aligned to the CCSS Machine. Often sold as ‘free college’ or ‘free community college’.
c) ConnectED (used in Pre-K to career, public libraries, and more) If you missed by eye opening revelation of how ConnectEd is not only a White House created Initiative, then you need to see it. It’ll show you tons to help you connect the indoctrination dots.

d) Pre-K for All (mandated in ESSA and based on universal design for learning; will start our babies out in the ways of the CCSS Machine, not our ways.)
e) Promise Neighborhoods (codified in the ESSA, this White House created and led Initiative is now law. With it will come whole community/family alignment to the CCSS Machine in the guise of ‘student success’.)
f) Computer Science for All (another White House created and championed Initiative. The Fed Ed 2017 Budget Requests for this are astronomical. It is also woven into Item C, ConnectED. This is meant for every citizen’s alignment, not just students.
g) Teach to Lead (2017 Budget figures are ‘off the charts’ as well as every organization leading the teachers on how to lead students? CCSS Machine banner carrying member organizations.)

The rest of the items are woven into ESSA, WIOA, and or HEA collectively where needed. They include Race to the Top, college affordability, school turnarounds and anything connected. If they are in all 3 of the laws, they’ll be in one of them.

Please note how many of the above programs are from his office. Remember, this President doesn’t have an educational background, but rather legions of educrats advising him.

Warriors, I encourage you to go to one of the bandwagon tour stops. Protest the use of your tax money used against us. Protest the unjust activity of using ‘opportunity’ as a guise for ‘control’!

To my fellow Anti CCSS/Fed Led Ed Warriors, I have gathered the following miscellaneous Pro Common Core fodder. Why? Since ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is now law, the propaganda from the CCSS Machine is working overtime to produce as much BS as it can.

If you haven’t seen the following items, you should! While the false facts are flying, we have to work HARDER to share the truth! Is this a challenge? Of course it is! Can we do it?! Sure we can!! Share this article with other anti CCSS/Fed Led Ed Warriors, discuss what you can do to help those in your area find out what REALLY is going on, not what the CCSS Machine cronies say!!

First up, the President of the NEA (National Educators Association) gives us a rundown of all teachers do in today’s classrooms. Notice where the true education ends up in her list. Notice the arrogance in her face as she runs down this list and then remember ALL the latest CCSS Machine moves, resources, and legislation which has been produced in the name of parental right being usurped or taken away! It is no wonder the CCSS Machine claims kids don’t need parents!

Secondly, as one of my fellow Anti CCSS Warriors stated, ‘who needs the truth, it just gets ignored.’ This particular video gives us a look into MORE of what is happening in our schools. I guess the NEA failed to mention this on their snarky list.

Third, The ESSA has embedded a tremendous amount of behavior modification activities, supportive programs and services, as well as other RTI (Response to Invertion) methods. Yet, it spite of it, the real evidence is coming out…RTIs are NOT working!! Yet, MORE are being planned, created, and will be used!! I hope you will continue to help me raise as much awareness to what the REAL truths are about the ESSA. Do not be discouraged if you feel NO ONE is listening. Among the Warriors, we have heard the term ‘crickets’ when we think no one cares.

It is easy to believe no one is hearing you, especially when life is so busy. However, please know that your voice is probably being heard by someone. It is your voice those around you need to hear LOUDER than those spewing lies and making light of how our educational system in being ruined and transformed into a nanny’s house. Remember, to speak LOUDER doesn’t mean we have to shout, it just means we have to use a firm, knowledge based voice.

To say something is fine, but to have the actual language and what it means is what will make your voices BOOM! Still not sure about HOW you can make a BOOMING voice without yelling? Look at the screen shot above. That is a start. It gives the specific sections you can point others to. Think your legislative/local leaders have actually read the over 1,000 page ESSA Report OR the almost 400 page ESSA Law? I doubt it. Why? If they had, they would be jumping up and down with anger of just how this Law will HARM America, not FIX it!
