Everyone Loves A Fair, Right?!

To All My Anti Fed Ed Warriors, out there, I ask you the question above..
Everyone loves to attend a fair, right? Well, not everyone, I suppose. There are plenty of folks who would rather stay home than ride the ferris wheel, eat cotton candy, and, see all the local exhibits.

However, Warriors, what about a different kind of fair? Say, an international one.

Is there such a thing? Would you attend? Who would organize it, what activities would be present? How does all this impact education reform in America?

I invite you to read on to find out the answers and so much more.

Meet BIE, Your Fair Guide:

BIE (Bureau for International Expositions) would be the organization in charge of the fair, or, as they call it ‘exposition’.
(*Note: This BIE is not to be confused with the US BIE, Bureau of Indian Education within the U.S. Dept. of the Interior)

According to the BIE’s website, an ‘expo’ (aka ‘fair’ for our conversation) is,  “a global event that aims at educating the public, sharing innovation, promoting progress and fostering cooperation. It is organized by a host country that invites other countries, companies, international organisations, the private sector, the civil society and the general public to participate.”

Everyone from young kids to senior citizens and from every walk of life are invited to these events.

The four main goals of these types of events are:
a) collectivism (although it referred to as ‘cooperation’); b) education (carried out through entertainment); c) showing off the host country; and, d) growing your nation’s economy. (Warriors, pause and ask yourselves this, “Where have I seen or heard this type of agenda before?”)

A quick and simple answer is the UN’s SDGs (United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals). In fact, the BIE, has a document expressly for tying in the SDGs to the Expositions. Below is a screen shot of the 2017 document’s front page.

To read the 2016 U.S. House Bill 5624, go here.
To read the 2017 U.S. House Bill 534, it’s here.
To see the BIE’s information on the US, as a member nation, that is located here.

So, What About Education Reform?

Warriors, we know several Anti Fed Ed researchers and activists have tied Dubai to the CCSS Machine. So, it isn’t surprising to find a 2013 BIE Speech (concerning the upcoming 2020 Dubai World Expo)  where education was brought up 5 times.

Of those 5 times, only a couple are evidence of the global reform being carried out today, in 2018.

Here’s the first reference which should set off a few flags:

Followed by:

Source for the 5 page speech

Warriors, just think this was back in 2013; while the US wasn’t part of the BIE. Now that the US is once again a member nation, how much of this has already been done here in America? How much of this type of alignment is currently being carried out?
(*Note, the first question I posed here is more rhetorical. We have tons of evidence as to the global education push established in the past.)

If you’d like to see more ‘education’ items from the BIE archives, simply type in ‘education’ in their general search bar on their main page.

Another Fair:

Warriors, as far as other type of fair, this past July (2017), the celebration fair outside the G20 (Group of 20) featured many celebrities pushing for global citizens, global agendas, and, using education as one of the tools by which to pull this off. I covered this information in my article, “Knot In My Backyard”. (*Note: be sure to scroll down to the comments section.)

There was an important update to the “Knot” article I published in Sept. 2017. In it you’ll find the Global Citizen scorecard and tons more information. You’ll see how NY Sen. Schumer is a global sell-out, as is Stevie Wonder (entertainer).

Warriors, these types of fairs, expos, and, celebrations will not stop. In fact, they may increase. How do we fight back? These are public domain meetings. Use that to your advantage!

We cannot win the War Vs the Core in the CCSS Machine’s territory, BUT, we CAN fight the Machine in OURS. If we ‘win’, super. If we don’t, the Machine will suffer greatly by the time we are through.

Protecting each other well during a battle is vital for success.

Our work as activists is FAR from over. So, let’s turn the tables. Instead of a ‘fair’ exhibiting hype, let’s exhibit truth.
Let’s have teachers and students give ‘fair’ speeches about how damaging the
globalization of their classrooms is.
Let’s have them display the CCSS curriculum and resources for all to see how unfair this education reform is for THEM.
Let’s trot out the data mining tools and show the unfair AND illegal data rape happening everyday in America for the ‘global good’.
Let’s expose the UN’s SDG takeovers in our cities and towns, too.

A Test Of Time

Warriors Against the Core, this article will be very short.

I’m  in the “Sic ‘Em” mood. I think many of us are. Today, I’m pretty much summing up our findings after all these years fighting the War Vs. the Core.

It’s been said we need to wake up more parents to join us in protecting our kids. I’ll not be presumptuous enough to claim this (what you’ll see below) is “IT”, but it sure can help.

Regardless if you are a Christian or not, everyone is familiar with the Bible’s Ten Commandments. You know the list:
1) God said I brought you out of bondage so, have no other gods before me.
2) Don’t make graven images to worship.
3) No blasphemy.
4) Keep the Sabbath.
5) Honor your parents.
6) No murder.
7) No adultery.
8) No theft.
9) No lies.
10) Don’t covet.

Warriors, stay with me…let’s take these basic  commandments (which were actually guidelines to aim for) and apply them to the modern CCSS Machine education reform.

As you know, since I began writing and speaking out, I have referred to all the egregiousness as a ‘machine’. In my Warrior mindset, assigning all that is going on as a result of this modern education reform, is much easier to understand.

What you’ll see below is my take of what the unspoken Education Reform Commandments are. Was there ever anything similar written down? Who knows, but it’s what we’ve been living out from the past to today.

Warriors, we must fight on to protect our students and teachers! Please use the picture to help point out to those who are still misinformed.

Speak up, speak out! Don’t simply rely on those who’ve been in this War Vs. the Core for a long time. Work shoulder to shoulder.

We see our federal/state legislation carrying out the Education Reform Commandments, daily. Look at how much of what is happening in these ‘commandments’ for money; not quality of life, but money.

This shift goes way beyond education and is attacking the entire  family. It’s a chain reaction. Negatively impact education, and an entire society goes to Hell.

It doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen. It’s up to us to throw a kink in the CCSS Machine.

The Fan’s Been Hit

Goodbye, September…Hello, October! Fellow anti CCSS Warriors; Warriors Against the Core; and Anti Fed Ed Warriors, you know life is changing for us all on a daily basis. You know we, as a nation are being impacted every day by the CCSS Machine in some way.

I’m a bit more angry at the continued overreach in education from all the levels it SHOULD NEVER be getting. I’ve also seen an increase (again) in being blocked, so some of my latest research isn’t getting out there quite as good as it once did. Still, I press on.

We’ve reached a point, in the War Against the Core, where the ‘poop’ is hitting the fan at almost breakneck speed!

At the beginning of the week, if you remember, I said we had 5 days of which to survive U.S. Congress’s moves concerning their part of the CCSS Machine’s overreach in education legislation. Mid-week, I said it didn’t appear much was happening on the Hill, but there was plenty going on elsewhere in D.C. (Dr. King and the U.S. Dept. of Ed)

All the while, the blocking of all that I’d researched and written grew. Then, last night, at least for me, the poop really hit the fan when I received an email from the U.S. House of Representative’s Education and Workforce Committee.

The email goes on to share all the other education/job reform projects. Then, the letter is ended with, “All of these reforms will provide Americans “A Better Way” to pursue successful, fulfilling lives and work toward a brighter future. And there’s more where these came from. September may be drawing to a close, but House Republicans know there is more work to be done.”

If you wish to read the entire message,
(*Note: The H5963, is included; the Higher Education Forum Rep. Kline spoke during, also there. As you know, I’ve written on both of these to expose the real rotten, stinky logs of poop.)

Let me backtrack from here. Ed/Workforce had been sending plenty of emails out this week, so I’d seen an increase in the ‘poop factor’.

Other Poop Factors:

1) Literally starting today, Oct. 1, a new fiscal year. The CCSS Machine’s gotten its claws in the federal budget. See:

2) The ‘King sized sack of poop’ being dished up:
(*Note: near the end of the bad news I shared in this one, you’ll see all the information on how you can sling some ‘poop’ of your own on Oct. 17th, 2016)

3) The new Family Engagement Ambassador Program from the U.S. Dept. of Ed and other CCSS Machine members has begun. This article has the framework for HOW the Fed ED will take over your family as a ‘nanny’ to align all to the CCSS Machine’s plans for education

4) The Rep. Kline speech on higher education poop,

5) How the CCSS Machine, via McGraw-Hill, is doing its best to align the Nov. 2016 elections:

“Got Poop?”

From the articles above, you’ll be able to see how much poop is currently flying. However, during the course of this week, there was a ‘new’ bill Ed/Workforce trotted out, HR6094. The official name, “The Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools, and Nonprofits Act.”

HR6094 is to put a delay of 6 months on a rule made by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
So, we know the U.S. Dept. of Labor is a big CCSS Machine organization. The rule has to do with overtime pay. See:

Okay, so now we are talking something to impact our national economy. We know, also, that national economy is a key platform FOR the CCSS Machine’s rhetoric for a stream-lined, workforce based education. Any time you see workforce, education, and the economy, you’ll see at least 4 alphabet soup CCSS Machine names. CTE, WIOA, ESSA, and HEA. (Career Tech Education/Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act/Every Student Succeeds Act/Higher Education Act).

Walberg from Michigan, is the main Representative behind HR6094. He released a statement about it earlier this year. See:

Oh, his stance on CTE which is the adult level for Common Core? He voted ‘Yes’ to the HR 5587 on 9/13/16. As you know I extensively researched HR5587 and exposed all the CCSS Machine ties. See:

Walberg also voted ‘Yes’ to the ESSA back in Dec. 2015. His vote for WIOA back in 2014? Also a ‘Yes’. As far as the HEA, Walberg shared quite a bit of news he was so proud of:

Delaying the rule may be a good move, it may not. However, when you have a federal level committee churning out CTE bills faster than ever, you know it’s going to be bad by the time all the poop flushes down the toilet. Add to these facts, it appears Walberg is holding the tissue paper, we’d better see EXACTLY  what U.S. Labor Dept. rule needs a delay.
“Wages and Fair Standards Labor Act” or FLSA. See:

Why should we, the Anti CCSS Warriors give this a moment’s concern? Since ESSA expands Career Tech Education, P3s (public private partnerships), aligns to learn-to-earn initiatives, and more, We MUST pay attention! ESSA also builds on the mandate for more career exploration activities. The FLSA shows a detailed list of what is covered and what’s not when it comes to wages and related activities. (*Note: access the above FLSA website and look for ‘handy reference guide’. Also, look at the child labor information:
Knowing how the CCSS Machine is bent on breeding young workers, we NEED to know what, if anything will be changing.)

If you wish to see the U.S. Representative’s Ed/Workforce spin on HR6094 via their ‘Fact Sheet’:

Meet the Plungers:

When I saw the tweet earlier this week, about how ‘great’ this bill is, I knew in an instant, that something foul is in the making.

So, how do I know these groups are ‘plungers’? First off, I do not know if every single one of these groups is a CCSS Machine member.

However, looking at the above picture, I can easily spot several CCSS Machine members/groups. For example: the APLU (Association of Public Land Grant Universities) is up to their necks in education alignment to the CCSS Machine.
Another easy one to spot? The AACC (American Association of Community Colleges)
Here’s my latest article on them. They are a notoriously known CCSS Machine member group

What other group do I have research on? The AASCU (American Association of State Colleges and Universities).

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a HUGE CCSS Machine ‘plunger’!! One of my past articles about them:
Then, more recently, I shared how the State Chambers of Commerce (which get big bucks from the U.S. Chamber):

As far as groups like the NCPA, Heritage Action, etc. I do not know their stances on CCSS or any of the aforementioned related materials. HOWEVER, I would caution ANY group willing to work with these known CCSS Machine member groups.

Flush the poop, clean your hands of the CCSS Machine’s agenda, and get out of the bathroom. Helping align our nation in ANY way to the workforce based education, is a sewer-worthy move.

The ‘burning’ question: WDED? Or, “What Did Education Do?”    Too stupid much!

Think of it as this way, my, anti CCSS Warriors. What ‘our’ U.S. Dept. of Education is doing since ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) has become law makes as much sense as a sponge wearing pants.

Before I get to why I’m comparing a federal agency to a fictional character, let me back track a few days to my article about Dr. King’s road trip. Since taking over the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s Secretary role, Dr. King has stunned us almost daily with one agenda program or mandate after another. So when ‘his’ road trip (which, by the way WE are paying for with our tax dollars), hit the press,  I hit it even harder.

From my “King’s Bandwagon, It’s A-comin'”, here are his words, ” “I hope in the end it’s that folks see that they have a stake in the success of other people’s children. The reality is you can’t build walls high enough to keep the fate of your kids separate from the fate of the kid down the block, down the street, down the road, in the next community over – all our kids’ fates are bound up together. And the work that we’re doing on supplement not supplant, the work that we’re doing on socioeconomic diversity in schools and promoting efforts to increase school diversity, all of that is about saying we are one community and we are ultimately stronger together.” ”
  See the entire article,

So, ‘ED’s’ On the Road:

While Dr. King was in D.C., he appeared to be on what is a Southern term for well mannered, “minding his Ps and Qs”. But alas, take King out of D.C. and he seems to of ‘let it all hang out’. What in the world do I mean? Check out the latest ESSA related press release that ED is so proud of!

The Fed ED Press Release link:

The excerpt I’m highlighting is in the screen shot below:

Now, before I share a bit more about the ‘ball and chain’ ESSA will put on all the States by these ‘new guidance measures’, let me give you the side stories ED (and at least this press release have left out).
One: Note that in King’s statement there’s pointed direction to ‘return on investment’. “Great progress”?! Look below, Warriors:

Almost 40 years ago, President Carter uttered some pretty similar sentiments. The “Goobernator” as he was referred to as I was growing up in GA, obviously missed the days in class where the Constitution was taught.
Otherwise, he’d of known that NO federal investment in education is legal! Investing/return on investment in education is 100% illegal! It was then and it is now!

Yes, just like “SpongeBob’s” side kick,“Patrick”,  Dr. King has a sideshow host, Sen. Lamar Alexander!
Oh, Alexander’s quite the poser. Look at how long he’s been spewing rhetoric about ‘investing in education’. Look how long he waxed on every time ESSA was on the Congress’ schedule. Think about how long he gloated about those helping pass ESSA. They were NOT all legislators. There were scads of private groups sold out to the CCSS Machine!
Look how long he droned on at Dr. King’s confirmation. Oh, sure, he bellowed, he beat his fists, he’s since spread poppy-cock about ESSA and how ‘upset’ he is over King’s behavior!

This coming from the man who stated back in the 80s about ‘cradle to grave’ education alignment?! Alexander/Patrick’s latest sideshow? Do what you want with ESSA!
*Note: any resemblance is certainly something that’s in the eye of the beholder.

What ESSA Really Says About All That ‘Guidance’:

Increased public private partnerships for not only students, but entire communities. Not only will your student succeed, he or she will succeed because everyone in town had a hand in it. The reality? Non educators will have more opportunities to teach. More ideology you may not wish to have your child exposed to at this time will be ‘in their faces’. These P3s will also be rewarded by the LEAs and SEAs for ‘performing’. Want your child to advance a grade? It won’t be up to the teacher anymore, but the LEAs and P3s.
Below is just one example of the kind of guidance education is getting. It’s not in the name of ‘quality academic education’ BUT Career Tech Ed (adult CCSS) for workforce!

More research conducted, especially by the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s special teams, in the name of understanding people. The reality? Constant measuring, assessing, and reporting. Our students AND their families will become lab rats. Entire communities will be graded, measured, and assessed as well. Not performing well? Funding for certain programs will be on the chopping block. ESSA will have the assessments reach (quite literally) into your homes.

Those ‘returns on investment’? That’s the CCSS Machine’s new way of referring to our sons and daughters. They’ve been reduced to financial commodities, including ‘human capital’.

What Works, but Really is Dependent:

The splendorous Ed Press Release also boasted of the NEW “What Works”. Oh joy, (sarcasm intended).
First off it’s in the IES (Institutes for Educational Sciences). IES is behind the lab rats programs and assessments, including that in-home assessment for how well your family is hooked up for the internet.
Then, there’s the REL (Regional Education Labs). More lab rats.
ESSA has ‘region specific education’ language for a purpose.
ESSA also has lots and lots of language for career and college readiness; post-secondary readiness. The CCR (college/career readiness) Centers have our nation broken into regions, too. Coincidence? Hardly.
Then, there’s NCEE (National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance). More assessing, and measuring. More alignment to a global agenda. More ‘region specifics’. See my article about how the regional and the global meet under NCEE

To see the What Works, newly re-designed website:

To see IES and ESSA’s plans:

A screen shot of how the CCSS Machine, ESSA, and IES connect to so much more than we’ve seen to date:

So, Warriors, What SHOULD  ED do? How about become non existent?!

Parental Protest

Hello, my fellow Anti CCSS Warriors! Most of us know how toxic the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is. Some of us are aware of the currently-open-for-public-comments ESSA Proposed Regulations which are EVEN more toxic to State-led education. How? In a couple of words: power grab.

That’s right, a U.S. Dept. of Education power grab. Most importantly at the hands of the Secretary Dr. John King. However, I want to point out a few items:

1) While the regulations do give Dr. King more power, it is a purposed plan that has been in the works for years. Helping lead that plan is none other than Sen. Lamar Alexander. By now, you have probably seen his infamous late 80s speech where he laid out the whole ‘birth to grave’ education plan. So, know this: every time you hear Alexander bemoan how Dr. King is disregarding the way the ESSA was written, he’s not being honest. Alexander knows EXACTLY how and why the ESSA was written like it give the illusion of State-led education. King’s Proposed Regulations are merely one of the means to an end.

2) Both Republicans AND Democrats in Congress are responsible for passing ESSA as it is written. Remember that at election time. While some are focusing on the Presidential race, we, as Warriors must keep in mind that OUR Congress members are up for elections, too. As are the Governors and other State leaders. As we Warriors know, many of these from D.C. to downtown are part of the CCSS Machine already.
Each of these levels of political power stands between us and a truly free (and Constitutionally honoring) state-led educational system free from the CCSS Machine.

3) The Proposed Regulations are NOT the way to have state-led-CCSS-Machine-free education. Quite the polar opposite. The Regulations AND ESSA in its entirety  give us MORE CCSS Machine led education from the federal level.

How do I know this? Reading the ESSA in its entirety as well as the Regulations. What follows is the fruit of what has been uncovered.

Enter the US PIE:

As you may (0r may not) know, I am among the members of Leadership Team of the national group known as US PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education). In the past, I have shared with you how we have worked together to bring attention to the ESSA’s passage, Dr. King’s nomination and confirmation, and now, those ESSA Proposed Regulations. Those of us in leadership, the advisory council, State Chapter Presidents, and parents have one main goal: the abolishing of the U.S. Dept. of Education, thereby ending the main source of federally led education.
If you are not aware of the US PIE and would like more information, visit:

That Special, ‘Fruit Bearing’ Project:

Over the past couple of months, you may remember me stating that I was working on a special project. Well, now I can reveal what a small working group of us involved in US PIE have been up to. We have undertaken reading all 192 pages of the ESSA Proposed Regulations. It has not been easy. It has taken many hours. We are not the first group to pour over the Regulations, however, we didn’t stop at the Regulations the U.S. Dept. of Ed wanted the most public input on, we meticulously looked at all the others. As Warriors, we know when any part of the CCSS Machine points us in one direction, they are up to all kinds of craftiness where we aren’t looking.
Here a few facts to get out of the way before I share with you our ‘tasty fruit’:
1) The Regulations are supposedly suggestions the U.S. Dept. of Ed  is making to carve out how ESSA will look in our backyards. (heavily influenced by the CCSS Machine)

2) The Regulations do not state who authored them, but in most footnotes you can see CCSS Machine member organizations as cited sources for certain portions.

3) If the ESSA is to be truly State-led, why did the federal U.S. Dept. of Ed make enough rules, regulations, and strings to create a 192 page document?

4) While some Regulations increase King’s power, there are some which rubber stamp ESSA’s original language (which is now the law).

5) The U.S. Dept. of Ed asked the public to comment no later than Aug. 1, 2016. The 4 Regulations we, as the general public, are to focus on: 1) identifying consistent underperformers; 2) stopping the low turn out during assessment periods; 3) long-term ELL goals; and 4) Title One updates.

Warriors, what our team found is truly disgusting. We found items that as far as we know, no other group reporting on the Regulations have shared.
For example:
The Regulations include Dr. King’s creation of a new national educational research facility especially for gifted and talented learners. He will be in charge of selecting staff, organizing the facility, etc.
Another example:
The Regulations include where Dr. King is to define for the States what certain educational (or supporting education) programs are to look like, what resources they are to use, etc.

We have created a 4 page Talking Points document to help guide the Anti CCSS/ESSA Warriors to the other disgusting truths we uncovered. It is imperative we use the resource to help point to those we have contact with about what TRULY is in the works for American education. It is a helpful resource to use in making any public comments you feel you should make to the U.S. Dept. of Education by 8/1/16. The link to the Comment page is embedded in the Talking Points.

We have produced this resource (fruit) as a labor of truth for our nation. It has been an honor to work with such dedicated team members from across the USA. To access the Talking Points document and start using it as a truthful Anti CCSS/ESSA weapon,

Get Involved!:

Hopefully, you are fired up and ready to reach out to the U.S. Dept. of Education. Great!! US PIE is inviting anyone who desires to help us publicly (and peacefully) protest the ESSA and its Proposed Regulations. I posted on my Common Core Diva Facebook page news about how you can help us with the protest.I also invited my followers to join in the Rally.
*If you are not on Facebook, details are below.

You can also find (on Facebook) the Stop Fed Ed page (that is the public Facebook page for US PIE). They have posted the official group invitation for the Rally.

Here is what I posted earlier today:
“I have been busy getting tweets and memes ready for the upcoming US PIE (United States Parents Involved in Education) and PJNET (Patriot Journalists Network) joint anti ESSA Rally on 7/25/16 from 7 pm to 9 pm (EDT). We are using the Rally to protest the current ESSA Proposed Regulations! Upload any appropriate meme or jpg image on Twitter using the hashtags:
‪#‎ReinInTheKing‬, ‪#‎StopFedEd‬ @usedgov ‪#‎PJNET‬ BEFORE 7/24 (all memes and tweets will then be compiled for the Rally on 7/25)”

To see the Stop Fed Ed Official invitation to join the Rally:

Below find a few examples of what type of memes or jpgs you can create. Be sure to include any of the talking points you are especially angered by. At least 50 different images and tweets are needed! Right now, there are less than 20. Please help us.

Here is one of mine:

Here is one from US PIE (Stop Fed Ed):

Here is another truth zinger  I put on Twitter:

Remember, there is no obligation to join US PIE for this Rally. You simply have to be beyond fed up with the U.S. Dept. of Ed’s overreach in education. Any opposition you can help muster up will be a blow to the CCSS Machine. That, my fellow Warriors, is a worthy means to OUR end.

Affording CCSS Higher Ed Reform

For this Weekend News article, I want to help shine the light on the CCSS Machine in higher education..specifically in the name of college/post-secondary affordability. Who is involved? How does this connect to the CCSS Machine?

Above, you see a screen shot of the NC Senate Bill 873. Its short title is the ‘Access to Affordable College Ed Act’. Since you, my fellow  anti CCSS Warriors may NOT live in NC, what will your State have in the works for higher education reform where saving money is a selling point?

If you have heard any of my more recent interviews, you may recall I have shared that one of the ways in which we, the citizens of the USA, will be taken in by the CCSS Machine’s higher education grasp is through the affordable cost of post-secondary education. Look closely at the above screen shot and you will see the easily identifiable Common Core Machine ties. But trust me, there are MANY more not in black and white print.

However, before we get to a State level look, let’s review what the federal level of the CCSS Machine’s education overreach in the name of savings for post-secondary education.

The Feds in Post-Secondary Education:

In Feb. 2016, I shared with you the intent Dr. John King (U.S. Dept. of Ed’s Secretary) and the OPE (Office of Post-Secondary Education) in regards to CCSS/CTE/CCR (Common Core State Standards/Career Tech Education/College and Career Readiness). Here is a quote,
‘Once you are in the OPE website pages, you can find this declaration OPE works to strengthen the capacity of colleges and universities to promote reform, innovation and improvement in post-secondary education, promote and expand access to post-secondary education and increase college completion rates for America’s students, and broaden global competencies that drive the economic success and competitiveness of our Nation.” ‘

To see the rest of the article and how FASFA (the paperwork for federal student aid to go to post-secondary education) plays into all the education reform:

Also in Feb. 2016, I dug into the 2017 Fed Ed Budget Requests and found how college and other post-secondary education is to seem more affordable. Early College programs; where funding for HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and MSIs (Minority Serving Institutions) were to be impacted as well.

Right slam in the midst of all this is the connection to the SREB (Southern Regional Education Board). How? In the name of ‘research’! If you go back and look at the NC legislation in the works, see how SREB’s research is being relied upon as well as written into the Bill.
(*Note: If you have followed my blog long, you know how deep into the pockets of the CCSS Machine, SREB is. More about SREB will be below.)

In the article I also gave you how the funding will impact TRIO programs, Job Development Grants, and more. The article also shows you how each one of these ties back to the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), as well as HEA (Higher Education Act).

SREB, NC, and the Nation:

Past research has connected SREB to the CCSS Machine’s intent to use community colleges (post-secondary education) as a breeding grounds for CTE (Career Tech Education, the adult portion of CCSS) and more educational alignment to workforce based education. See below for what CCSS Machine organizations fund SREB:

SREBfund To find out more about how and what SREB is doing to education and those who are in education, as well as find out about the other regionally based education boards and their involvement, see:

So, the burning question is, why is NC using a known CCSS Machine organization like SREB to create legislation? Take a look at this 2014 screen shot. I believe we can glean from it WHY NC relies on CCSS Machine backed research:

Others NOT included in the screen shot include Dr. June Atkinson (head of the NC Dept. of Public Instruction, as well as the President of the CCSSO, Council of Chief State School Officers, which own half the copyright to CC Standards!) and Dr. Scott Ralls, the (at that time) head of NC Community Colleges. Ralls has moved on to become President of a Community College in VA since this report.

Now, I know some of my NC anti CCSS Warriors may be shocked to see some of the names they see. My concern is how many of these people have we heard publicly state they were/are against CCSS, but are participating in embedding it in various ways into the State Laws? Do they KNOW the connections already and just turn a blind eye, or has the truth been kept from them?!

For those of you NOT in NC, look at your regional boards to see who is in state government AND serves on these types of boards!

The Clearinghouse Featured in the NC Legislation:

If you refer back to the top of the article and see the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, you may not know that this Center is ALSO a CCSS Machine member, but it is!! Furthermore, it is being used as MORE research and evidence to create legislation!

From the Clearinghouse’s ‘About Us’ portion of their website you can learn they have been data collecting/sharing since 1993, that they adhere to FERPA (remember it got overhauled to not be as protective as it once was?), and how they abide by the HEA (Higher Education Act). See:

So, How Does All of the Above Impact NC Legislation?

1) It further embeds the CCSS Machine, the federally led, privately funded education overreach into the State. Remember, since ALL the States are impacted by the U.S. Dept. of Education, WIOA, ESSA, and HEA, there is NO reason to think NC stands alone in this.

2) Another short answer is it is embedding education reform in the name of student debt reduction. Who will bear the brunt of the debt load? The taxpayers! Here in NC, a recent state-wide Bond was passed in the name of educational updates that will burden our taxpayers for at least 2 generations! (If you like, you can search my blog for the ‘NC Connect’ and learn how the CCSS Machine is involved.)

3) By overhauling how colleges, universities, and all other post-secondary educational institutions are to be held accountable and accredited, you will see a continued chipping away at local control and MORE federal overreach increase. (I have written about this issue as well and how the CCSS Machine is behind it. If you would like that research, let me know.)

4) In the body of the NC SB873 (Access to Affordable College Ed Act), you will see how by taking 4 year state-led colleges and turning them into community colleges it plays right into the hands of the SREB intent/CCSS Machine agenda to use community colleges as not so much educational facilities, but worker prep facilities.
See the NC Legislative Bill:

A Couple of Loose Ends Worth Noting:

In the NC Legislative Bill screen shot, you may notice I underlined the name of David Kirp.
Who is he? ‘Senior Fellow in Residence, is the James D. Marver Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California at Berkeley.’

I found this excerpt about him on the Learning Policy Institute’s website (that is where the Sr. Fellowship comes in). The Learning Policy Institute is funded by some pretty big CCSS Machine members (Ford Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, etc.). The President and CEO of the Learning Policy Institute is none other than  Linda Darling-Hammond (a notoriously known CCSS Machine disciple)!
To access the Learning Policy Institute’s website:

AIR was also underlined in the screenshot. American Institutes  of Research are also notoriously tied to the CCSS Machine. Many anti CCSS Warriors have shared the ties, the deceptive moves for data mining carried out in the name of ‘research’. One anti CCSS Warrior in particular has mountains of documented evidence on AIR. Her name is Deb Herbage (FL).  She has recently begun her own blog, DezignzbyDeb (it is on WordPress, like mine). Contact her for any thing AIR related.

As twisted as the CCSS paved road is in each of our States, I trust you can see why legislation, either State created or federally, is being used to continue the vicious cycle of grinding down our nation education-wise.
Please, look into your State’s governing bodies.
NC residents: PLEASE contact the leaders and DEMAND accountability while you share the truth.
Warriors, many of these leaders are seeking to be re-elected. Will we continue to put them in office?

Sic’ ‘Em Saturday: Post Secondary Makeover

Anti CCSS/CTE warriors, if you’re like me, you’ve noticed a distinct makeover of post secondary education and/or the education paths leading up to it, which are willing and able to align themselves to the Common Core Machine.

The question is, will we, the  OPPOSED to Common Core, speak up enough to raise awareness about the alignment of educating American students at the college level and beyond, as we’ve made in pre-kindergarten to 12th grade?

Speaking for myself, I’m going to make all the noise I possibly can! Why? No matter how old our students are, they shouldn’t be aligned to anything Common Core related.

Why This Matters:

For months now, I’ve given you, the anti CCSS warrior, tons of information that’s credible HOW our post secondary education is being remade to fit right along side the movement to transform our PreK to 12th grade education systems. I am far from alone in the warning about this. Yet, we still find the most ardent anti CCSS warriors remaining pretty quiet about what lies beyond high school for our students.  We must realize with the upcoming HEA (Higher Education Act) re-authorization, we can not afford to be quiet!

One of the most used  reasons I hear from anti CCSS Warriors, is that ‘the kids who’ve graduated can speak for themselves.’ While this is true,  an attitude like this in light of  the context of a realignment of American education is 100% dangerous. Yes, our older students CAN speak up for themselves. Yet, if they don’t KNOW about the Common Core movements to usurp American education as we know it, how can they speak up against it?! They CAN’T! More to the point, neither can we.

If we, as anti CCSS/CTE warriors don’t step up our conversations to include (not just  the little ones in our lives, but )the older ones being impact by Common Core or Career Tech Education, then we are doing a vast disservice to every student across our nation.

Imagine it as if you’re telling one child they are less important than another one. Bottom line: you won’t dream of saying it. However, every time we embrace a post secondary, Common Core alternative in the post secondary world, that’s exactly what we are stating! We must help ALL Americans learn where Common Core is lurking in every educational choices, so they can help others know what to look for AND stay clear of!

As our Action step for today, let’s commit to saving every citizen in America from a Common Core, Career Tech, Career Pathway, Career Cluster, or other named CCSS titled education. It’s the least we can do to preserve our children.

If you’ve like to learn more about where the post secondary dangers of Common Core lie, please contact me ASAP. We’ve no time to loose.

Here’s the link to my 12 pages of post secondary Common Core alignment research and published articles. Almost every one of them points to not only, the public school students, but the special needs students, the homeschooled, the privately educated, the faith based students, those returning to the classroom students, and every one else.

Sic’ ‘Em Saturday: CCSS Naysayers

Seventeen did not a victory make, however, they got the message 'we've had all we'll take!'
Seventeen did not a victory make, however, they got the
message ‘we’ve had all we’ll take!’

Anti CCSS Warriors, you’ve read the stories, culled the Congressional Reports. You know this ‘War Against Common Core’ is NOT over yet.  However, today, we’ll take a look at the 17 who stood strong in the Senate against not only their peers, but the CCSS Machine. I’d like to preface my article, I am NOT endorsing any political candidate publicly. My focus isn’t on the campaigns of any of the 17 Senators. Are these 17 tied to Common Core in any way? Let’s find out.
The Nay Sayers:

Here, again, are those 17 names. Senators Graham and Nelson didn't vote.
Here, again, are those 17 names. Senators Graham and Nelson didn’t vote.

While each of the following said ‘no’ July 16th, will they remain nay sayers? We’ll need to continue to hold them accountable. Especially when you discover more about their education stances.
Blunt: MO, voted ‘no’ to S1177, As a member of the Appropriations Committee, Sen. Blunt gets to help decide where our taxpayer’s money is spent. One such benefactor? The U.S. Dept. of Education. See: I didn’t find a press release following his ‘no’ to ECAA on his website. However, I did find that his stance on job growth may be of concern, therefore watching how he continues to vote where education is concerned. See: Note the phrase ‘shovel ready’ and Missouri’s community colleges. As we’ve discovered, community colleges are entrapped in the CCSS/CTE pipeline for education.
Booker: NJ, voted ‘no’ to S1177, HIs statement following his vote, revealed his dissatisfaction with Title One funding. See: That said, Sen. Booker’s involvement in a trained workforce is worthy of not only our concern, but our voice. Sen. Booker has teamed up with Sen. Scott (see below) in LEAP, Leveraging and Energizing America’s Apprenticeship Program Act. Why would a CCSS Warrior need to be concerned? I’ve published a detailed article previously detailing how the Apprenticeship program in America is CCSS, CTE aligned.
Booker’s statement on jobs and the economy: His committee service includes commerce and science. See: My article about apprentices:

Crapo: ID, voted ‘no’ to S1177, If you don’t know his stance on education, you should. While he’s a big supporter of public education, he desires more local control. That said, he also shares that the federal role in education is helpful. Anti CC Warriors, I’m curious, do Congress members receive a ‘Know your Constitution’ exam before being sworn in? If not, maybe they should. As per our 10th Amendment, there is to be NO federal role in education. See Sen. Crapo’s educational stance: While I didn’t see his service on any committees which directly impact education, I did notice a few caucuses he belongs to which are tied to CCSS. (for example: TRIO, 4-H, and others) See:
Cruz: TX,  voted ‘no’ to S1177, Sen. Cruz’s vote was consistent with his education stance as an opposer of CCSS. His statement following that vote said ECAA missed the mark. See: His education page: According to his bio page, he is a defender of the U.S. Constitution. As you’ll see with some of the other Senators, Cruz serves of the Joint Economic Committee and others. Commerce is among them. Knowing how big business has its hands all over education, I’m sure we’ll need to watch to see how this is handled.
Daines: MT, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His amendment, SAFE Kids, is said to protect student data privacy, however, in looking at the website detailing this amendment, several CCSS Machine members are supportive. This should be a huge concern to us, as opposed to Common Core! See: A noted other key concern for us should be his participation in cloud data storage. See:
Flake: AZ, voted ‘no’ to S1177, While some of his amendments were included in ECAA (Every Child Achieves Act), he couldn’t support some of the other components of the bill. See: However, his amendments were for charter school authority and early learning alignment are very concerning to anti CC Warriors. Why? As I’ve shared with you before, many overseeing charter schools are part of the CCSS Machine. Early learning alignment? No! Absolutely not! His education page will reveal he voted against NCLB and believes in local control. See:
Lee: UT, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His press release statement following that vote stated it was because the bill expands the U.S. Dept. of Education, increases early education overhaul, and more. See: According to his website, Sen. Lee is a defender of the U.S. Constitution. He also is a member of the U.S. Joint Economic Committee. (JEC’s website address is provided below in another Senator’s description) Lee is currently working on higher education legislation. He has even asked for America’s help. Anti CCSS Warriors, if you’re concerned about Sen. Lamar Alexander’s push for aligning as much as he can of education from birth to post grad, perhaps you’d like to help Sen. Lee’s writing of legislation. See:  As any good anti CC Warrior, we need to be ever watchful of what transpires from here on out.
Moran: KS, voted ‘no’ to S1177, A fan of CTE (career and technical education) is a big cause of concern for those of us opposed to the CCSS Machine. We now very well by now, that CTE is in every state of the United States, no matter if your state ‘adopted’ CCSS or not.
The Senator’s website will tell you he voted against NCLB in 2001, and why. See: His service on two committees which involve education (commerce and science) are worth holding him accountable in the coming days. See:
Murphy: CT, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His stance on education includes the 21st century skills needed for the global economy statement we’ve heard so much from the CCSS Machine. There are other statements in his education view point which are concerning to us as anti CCSS Warriors. For example, the states and accountability facing us in a re-authorized ESEA. (Press release:
Murphy is a member of hte HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor, and Pension). See:
Paul: KY, voted ‘no’ to S1177, Which directly supports his stance on education view point. His website has a well explained statement to detail his stance. See:
His statement following the passage of S1177:
Paul is a member of the HELP (Health, Education, Labor, and Pension) Committee. HELP was key in S1177’s existence.
Risch: ID, voted ‘no’ to S1177, His statement on education is brief, but to the anti CC Warrior, says a lot. For example, his stance on the role of the federal government in education is one of concern. How so? He believes the federal government should have a role in education. Warriors, does no one remember that federal government, per the U.S. Constitution, shouldn’t have ANY role in education?! See Risch’s statement:
Rubio: FL, voted ‘no’ to S1177, There’s not a message on his website concerning his vote that I could find. His blog has no entry for 7/16/15, either. However, I did find he serves on several committees that are directly related to education (technology, for example). His bio page on his website can serve as alert to his stance on higher education (as in making it affordable). Then, there’s the concern for the ‘global economy’. Why are these areas to hold him accountable? Sen. Alexander’s statement concerning the Higher Education Act was next on his list is a great reason. Add to that the push from the CCSS Machine where digital this and that are on a hyper speed effort to impact technology. See Rubio’s website:
Sasse: NE, voted ‘no’ to S1177, I cannot find any sort of press release after the vote. His website does not share any education view points that I can find. However, he does serve on the U.S. Joint Economic Committee. Since the CCSS Machine has a huge goal for the economic status of the U.S. A., I’d say we most definitely need to find out more about Sen Sasse’s view of education. See his website:
See the Joint Econ Website:
Scott: SC, voted ‘no’ to S1177, because he didn’t feel the bill was good enough. See his statement explaining his vote: However, Sen. Scott’s been key to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 and other ‘opportunities’ for aligned education and labor. WIOA embedded CCSS aligned Career Pathways at least 21 times. (See Sen. Scott’s agenda for a trained workforce,
Shelby: AL, voted ‘no’ to S1177, according to his website, he serves on at least 2 committees where funding occurs. Combine that with his stance that states are choosing CCSS, is a cause, in my opinion, to continue to watch him. See:
Vitter: LA, voted ‘no’ to S1177, due to his stance against CCSS, assessments, privacy violatons (see his education stance on his website page: However, he supports school choice and charter schools (which CCSS is using both of these  to distort education) and is supportive of 21st Century job preparation for students.
Warren: MA, voted ‘no’ to S1177,  due to dissatisfaction over the funding for schools.See Her statement on her website, down, look to the right) She’s also friendly towards post secondary alignment efforts. She’s a member of the HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions). HELP has been extremely involved in re-writing ESEA.

Actions We Should Take:

1) Continue to watch Congress for how voting goes.
2) Continue to interact with Congress where HR5, S1177, child care, preK, post-secondary are concerned. EVERY educational level and choice will be impacted by what happens in D.C. concerning the re-authorization of the ESEA.
3) Look, not only at the Congress members’ stances on education, but look at workforce, public-private partnerships, etc. Remember, economy and a trained workforce are 2 of the main CCSS agenda points. NO Congress member should support a CCSS/CTE aligned America. It’s unconstitutional! It’s unAmerican! It violates the oath each Congress member swore to uphold!
4) Thank these 17 Senators for standing with we, the anti CCSS Warriors! Remind them we are watching.
5) PJNET has a one stop tool to help you thank each Senator. See:

Sic’ ‘Em Saturday: Storming D.C., Warrior Style

Anti CC Warriors, as you probably have seen and heard by now, we’ve been given a super opportunity this weekend! What’s that? The opportunity to storm D.C. with as many ‘truth nuggets’ about Common Core and all its overreaching components! We’re not done yet, so don’t put down your computers. We’ve got 3 more days before the Senate meets again. Yes, call, email, text, or tweet today (Saturday), Sunday, and Monday. When the Senate adjourned Thursday evening, it was stated they’d meet again 3 pm, July 13th.

Below find some anti CCSS outrage you can use, from some of my previously published articles, if you like.

“Here’s, my version, of the pledge you’ve (the CCSS Machine) sacrificed us all for:“I pledge my allegiance to the Core and to the deterioration for which it exists. I have pledged my support to the degrading of my people which CCSS ensues. That being one way to learn, for all, indivisible and rigor for all.”

“We’ve ONE ‘shot’ to make our voices heard. We’ve ONE opportunity to expose our Congress members to the TOTAL array of CCSS/CTE issues laced in ALL the education proposed legislation. We’ve not time to pick and choose parts of CCSS/CTE to hold on to, or to see improved. Common Core/Career and Tech Education is ALL illegally based, untested, not educator based, and UNACCEPTABLE!”

STEM and Career Pathways connect to Common Core? Two documents, my fellow warriors. First, the PCAST document that is pre-2013 State of the Union address’s timeline, but is essential in tying STEM to Common Core as STEM being the agenda and CCSS being the vehicle of choice to deliver STEM to the masses of citizens.”

Below are some screen shots, memes, or JPEGS you can use, from my files, if you like.

big business trying to influence those in charge, so Common Core can survive. a responsible citizen. Speak up & help tell big business to back off!
big business trying to influence those in charge, so Common Core can survive. a responsible citizen. Speak up & help tell big business to back off!

This group has put together a brilliant campaign to help storm D.C., Warrior Style! Many of us, myself included, have used it over the past months, weeks, and days. I’ve had a personal conversation with one of the founders and the plan is simple. Use #PJENT/#STOPCOMMONCORE/#STOPECAA when you tweet anything. For example, if you’re creating your own messages to send to D.C. simply add those 3 handles.

Let’s say you don’t have that much time to create your own message. PJNET’s covered that base as well. Below is the link to the Action page where you simply click each Senator’s contact information and a random meme along with a fitting (also random) message goes instantly to D.C.!

As the person I spoke with stated, if 10 anti CCSS warriors tweet all 100 Senators (takes about 5 minutes), then that’s 1, 000 tweets. Now, we know we know at least 10 folks fighting to END Common Core, correct? Then challenge them to join in, if they haven’t! If you’ve got a friend and they think they don’t want CCSS, but aren’t sure, an activity like this, may be the final straw of truth to break the CCSS Machine’s lying backside!

Remember, we 3 days to post, share, and express as much outrage as possible to send the overall message that American citizens HATE the CCSS Machine!

Lastly, a big thanks to PJNET for choosing one of my original JPEGS to be included in their random message algorithm. It is an honor to have something included.

A big 'thanks' to the data geniuses at PJNET for including this during this urgent campaign.
A big ‘thanks’ to the data geniuses at PJNET for including this during this urgent campaign.

Sic’ ‘Em Saturday: Pint Sized Common Core

Anti CCSS Warriors, just in time for the 4th of July, the latest ‘Zero to 3 State Baby Facts’ for each of the 50 states are out. So be ready to ‘rumble’!

The National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families:

Their mission statement per the above website address is, “ZERO TO THREE is a national, nonprofit organization that provides parents, professionals and policymakers the knowledge and know-how to nurture early development.”

In Anti CC Warrior terms, the above means social and emotional learning, development, and the like are included. It means lots of policy makers and educational decisions are also being made. The Zero to Three Center is also connected to ‘Early Head Start’ (which is a community based, federally funded program). Between the two entities, all 50 states are serviced via over 740 programs. Home visitations are among these services.

From the Zero/Three’s FAQ page:
What is the relationship between the EHS National Resource Center and ZERO TO THREE?
The Early Head Start National Resource Center (EHS NRC) was created in 1995 by the Head Start Bureau and the Administration for Children and Families. Since its inception, the EHS NRC center has been operated by ZERO TO THREE in Washington, DC. The EHS NRC is a storehouse of early childhood expertise that promotes the building of new knowledge and the sharing of information. See the EHS NRC ‘About Us’ section or email

How many programs does Early Head Start include?
Early Head Start, a federally funded community-based program for low-income pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers up to age 3, has 745 programs in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The program served nearly 62,000 children in 2004. For more information, please see the Office of Head Start Statistical Fact Sheets.

Does ZERO TO THREE offer Early Head Start programs?
We do not offer any direct service programs. To find an Early Head Start program in your state, visit the “Head Start Locator” page.”

The National Center’s  funding appears to be a mixed bag of public/private funders.  The website, Charity Navigator states that the Zero to Three National Center receives over 70% of its funding from the U.S. Federal Government. (see: *NOTE: scroll down to the “Charts” graphics.

Another example of the private donations, is the one from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. See the screen shot below (the website address is included).

According to the Center's 2013 Annual Report (the latest available), our federal and state governments help fund it.
According to the Center’s 2013 Annual Report (the latest available), our federal and state governments help fund it.

To understand the levels of the varied federal funds the Center receives, access their website page,
This is important because you’ll see that part of the IDEA funds are used for Zero to Three; Promise Neighborhoods, and other trails that can lead you right back to the Dept. of Education and Common Core.

I was able to locate the 2008 Zero to Three Annual Report’s list of donors. Among them are the Foundation for Excellence in Education (Jeb Bush’s pro CCSS organization), several U.S. Federal levels offices tied to the CCSS Machine in some way, The Casey Foundation, MetLife Insurance*, The Duke Foundation, and many others. See the screen shot below. For the entire report, use the website address provided beneath the screen shot.

Contrast the 2008 information above with the most recent ‘Partners Fact Sheet” and it will reveal what the Center looks for in its partners and much more. We, as warriors against early childhood CCSS need to know these details, especially in light of the fact that both the House’s and Senate’s versions of the ESEA are up for votes in the coming days. One example from the most recent fact sheet is that  Congress gave the Early Head Start around $500 million dollars in 2014. Access to the Fact Sheet: ehs-child-care-partnerships-fact-sheet-ztt-04-04-2014

*I’ve exposed MetLife’s CCSS ties on Prevent Common Core’s website. See the article:

Curriculum for the Little Ones Ages 3 and Under:

A sad reality in today’s CCSS aligned world. I’m including a report where you can find out much more about HOW the curriculum for zero to three years old children is supposed to work. What’s important for the Anti CCSS Warriors to note is that while you won’t see the CCSS name used, you’ll see it’s familiar footprint in the language coupled with the reality of the PreK curriculum MUST align to the Kindergarten Standards in your state. See: multidisciplinary-consultant-module-3
Here’s a brief excerpt for you, “Curriculum for babies?” The answer is “Yes.” The development that occurs from birth to 3 years lays the foundation for all later learning (National Research Council and Institute of Medicine, 2000). To ensure an effective foundation for later development and success, infant/toddler experiences should be designed to meet the individual needs of each child.”

An online School Readiness tool is made available to you on the Zero to Three’s website courtesy of MetLife.

My mother's heart goes out to all the young mothers who will not know that the earliest years are not designed for these 4 skill areas.

My warrior’s heart is spurned at the experts who endorsed this report. To see the entire report: gettingreadyforschoolbeginsatbirth

Just the Facts, Mom and Dad:

Before I share the 2015 State Baby Facts with you, I’d like you to see the picture below. The words you’ll see in red are mine (based on my extensive research into CCSS and CTE). If ever one picture was worth 1,000 words, this would be it.

To get the 2015 information, state-of-america-s-babies-4-15-final

What you, as a CCSS warrior needs to know, is that early childhood care is going to be used (or is already being used) for school readiness. This intent is in the 2015 report.

Back in 2014, the U.S. Dept. of Ed announced the Preschool Development Grant ‘winners’ and updated information for those Race to the Top States which had already been able to acheive ‘robust’ Preschools.

So what was Duncan’s tweet about? (the very first screen shot you saw). Pushing the need for ‘high quality’ Preschools. When I searched the related links from the tweet, I found this one from MA (Massachusetts) urging parents to sign up to support the PreK Initiative. The Initiative’s issue? Narrowing the achievement gap (they go into a much more lengthy explanation). See:

Related Information:

The NIEER (National Institute for Early Education Reserach)
While this National center is all about their public policies and research, get a look at what organizations are funding this Institute, found in their “vision” section:
“Past and current supporters of research performed by NIEER include: The Pew Charitable Trusts, Carnegie Corporation of New York, The Fund for New Jersey, Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, The Prudential Foundation, The Schumann Fund for New Jersey, Smith Richardson Foundation, Tulsa Community Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI).  NIEER also leads the Center on Enhancing Early Learning Outcomes (CEELO), one of 22 comprehensive centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education to strengthen the capacity of State Education Agencies to lead sustained improvements in early learning opportunities and outcomes.”

What you, the anti CCSS warrior needs to know about the NIEER? The 50 states want to be able to adhere to this body’s parameters. For example, see NC’s statement of ‘bragging rights’:
“North Carolina is one of four states with a Pre-K program that meets all 10 National Institute of Early Education ResearchBenchmarks (NIEER).  Benchmarks include comprehensive Early Learning Standards; staff met education/licensure requirements, professional development; 1:9 staff/child ratio; developmental screens and referral; evidence-based curriculum and formative assessments; monitoring and nutritional requirements.”

If you’d like to see just WHAT those “stellar” NC PreK Standards are, NC_Foundations
The Common Core State Standards tie to the “NC Foundations” can be found on page 17 of the document.

Warriors against CCSS, you know that usually on Saturday I’ve got action steps laid out for you. However, I think you can see what actions you need to take with this issue. Knock ’em down. I know I will do my gut level best!
